Abstract

One of the effort to tackle the problem of poverty and food insecurity, government agency food security through agriculture department, in 2006 has eilcis village self-food program. Village self-food program success depends on the participation of food and public perception as well as the approach taken by the government to the community in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Has conducted research with the aim to analysis of the level member of affinity groups participation and perception for village self-food in Padang Serai village Kampung Melayu Bengkulu City. Research method using descriptive analysis is presented data or information in order to obtain a complete and deiled results. This information will be illustrated by some of the questions with three alternative answer. The answer given by level where: to answer (agree = S, Sometimes = KD, and does not agree = TS). Alternative answer will be rated based on the level (score) S = 3, KD =2, and TS = 1. Based on the results of the research village sel-food program in Padang Serai village Kampung Melayu Bengkulu City average of 28,13 which means that the level of participation of members of affinity included in the medium category. Most respondents participation is a class between 23,4-32,7 namely the medium category with a number of 21 people or 65,63. Whereas the respondent participation of at least between 14-23,3 is the low category. Totaling 5 respondents or 15,63%. Of data on the perception of respondents could be on average 33,06.This condition indicator that the member of afiniti group has a high or good perception of the village self-food program. The respondents perception that most of the classes between 32,7-42 is with his category with a number of 18 people or 56,25%. Whereas at least the perception of respondents between 14-23,4 is the low category, totaling 6 respondents or 18,75%.

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain growth and development of three varieties of tomatoes and determine the best application of liquid organic fertilizer. The experimental design used was Split Plot Design with three replications. As the main plots are varieties of tomato hybrids that include Betavila F1, Marta and Timoty. As subplot is application of liquid fertilizer with application of giving by leaf (LD), through root (LA), and control. The result showed that mean application of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) and tomato varieties increased growth and yield on all observed variables such as plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit and fruit weight on tomato plants. While the interaction between application of organic liquid fertilizer and varieties have significant effect on plant height variable, flowering age, harvest age, but no significant effect on fruit weight. Appearance of vegetative growth and generative varieties of Marta gives the best result, however for the age of flowering and the age of the fastest harvest seen in varieties of Timoty.

Abstract

Food needs are increasing as population growth. Low productivity and limited land were the problem to fulfill the need of food. One of the solutions is agricultural intensification by intercropped cultivation system with LEISA concept. Provision of inputs such as organic fertilizers can improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of soil. This study was aimed to gain time and type of organic fertilizer application. The results showed that the time of the application of organic fertilizer did not affect significantly rice and soybean growth. However the type of organic fertilizer affected significantly rice and soybean growth. Chicken manure was the best fertilizer material on rice vegetative phase and soybean vegetative and generative phase. The interaction between time and type of organic fertilizer application influences significantly soybean growth, and the best treatment was two weeks before planting and chicken manure.

Abstract

The experiment was conducted at Taman Yasmin VI Bogor in June 2009. The Objective of this experiment was to know the effect of liming dosage on soil pH of Desa Banyu Urip. The experiment was laid on treatment of liming dosage that consisted of 1 ton/ha, 1.5 ton/ha, 2 ton/ha, 2.5 ton/ha and without liming as a comparison. The result showed that the liming dosage increased soil pH up to 5.36 for 2.5 ton/ha. It is strongly recommended to use 2.5 ton/ha of lime to improve the soil fertility in Desa Banyu Urip.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effect of biofloc and intensive Patin culture cultivation using recirculation system to growth of silk worm (Tubifex sp). The study was conducted for 70 days at the laboratory of Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Prof.Dr.Hazairin, SH, using a complete randomized design (RAL) with 2 (two) Treatments ,, 6 (six) replications. Using the C / N ratio of 15, consisting of: Treatment A = biofloc Patin cultivation waste, B = intensive Patin intensive system waste.. The results showed that: Tubifex sp cultivation (Tubifex sp) is best in the treatment of cultivation with biofloc system. For the average biomass weight of 0.105 gr / cm² and the total number of individuals is 671,67 head / cm². Biodiversity cultivation of biofloc system is also good for increasing the number of individuals compared to intensive system cultivation waste. Abstract

Ikan Putih atau Ikan Semah (Tor sp ) adalah jenis ikan air tawar yang tergolong jenis ikan liar yang hampir punah dan sudah sulit sekali untuk didapatkan, atau dapat dikatakan sebagai hewan yang sudah langka. Pada saat ini permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah keberadaan jenis ikan semah sudah mulai terancam punah, karena penangkapan secara intensif berjalan terus. Agar populasi ikan semah tidak berkurang dan punah yang diakibatkan oleh penangkapan terus–menerus yang tidak memperhatikan norma konservasi serta untuk menjaga keseimbangan alam, maka ikan semah perlu untuk di budidayakan. Penelitian inimenggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap(RAL) dengan empat perlakuan. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang empat kali. Perlakukan tersebut adalah : A = Dosis Pakan Pellet 3%, B = Dosis Pakan Pellet 4%, C = Dosis Pakan Pellet 5% dan D = Dosis Pakan Pellet 6% dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT. Peubah yang diamati adalah (1) Panjang Mutlak, (2) Berat Mutlak, (3) Konversi Pakan, (4) Efisiensi Pakan dan (5) Kelangsungan Hidup. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian dosis yang berbeda berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap Berat dan Panjang Mutlak, Konversi dan Efisiensi pakan, dosis 6% memberikan nilai yang baik dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya dan mempunyai tingkat kelansungan hadup mencapai 100%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of wood powder extract Siwak (Salvadora persica) on the growth of Streptococcus mutans bacteria, this study was conducted in May 2015 at the Laboratory of Biology, University of Bengkulu. The method used in this research is Completely Randomized Design (CRD), which consists of 6 treatments and 4 repetitions with the concentration of A: 0%, B: 5%, C: 10%, D: 15%, E: 20%, and F: 20%. The results showed that wood dust siwak extract at a concentration of 5% has been inhibit the growth of bacteria Streptococcus muntans with broad zones of inhibition 85.172 mm2, at a concentration of 10% inhibition zone area 112.304 mm2, at a concentration of 15% inhibition zone area 154.841 mm2 at a concentration of 20% of the total 278.086 mm2 inhibition zone and the concentration of 25% inhibition zone 351.57 mm2 area. Based on the results Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA) is known that wood dust extract siwak with different concentrations of a very significant effect in inhibiting the growth of Streptococcus mutans bacteria. And it can be concluded that the growth of Streptococcus mutans in this study began inhibited at concentrations of 5% so that the minimum inhibitory concentration. Inhibition of Streptococcus mutans bacteria growth is happening at a concentration of up to 25% with broad zones of inhibition that form the most extensive.

Abstract

This research was aimed to select allelopathy of the seven species of plants that are supposed to reduce the vigor of weeds Echinochloa crus-galli. The research was conducted in the Laboratory of Plantation Protection Bereau Bengkulu Province from January to March 2011. This research was arranged in Completely Randomized Design with five replications. The treatments was alelopati extract consisted of control (pure water), Chromolaena odorata, Lantana camara, Acasia mangium, Swietania macrophylla, Pithecollobium jiringa, Eucalyptus sp and Cocos nucifera. The results showed that the allelopathy treatment reduced significantly the weed Echinochloa crus-galli vigor. All of the allelopathy treatment made 0% germinating of weed Echinochloa crus-galli, however control (without allelopathy) made 78% germination.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to know effect some kind herbicides to control the weeds paddy direct seeded and soybean in wet areal. A randomized block design was used 3 replications and 8 treatments namely: (A) Agristar; (B) Ally Plus; (C) DMA; (D) Metafuron; (E) Agristar and DMA 6; (F) Agristar and Metafuron; (G) Ally Plus and DMA 6; (H) Ally Plus and Metafuron. The result suggested that just pre plant herbicides (Ally Plus and Agristar) or post emergence herbicides (DMA 6 and Metafuron) only was not effective to control the weeds paddy direct seeded and soybean in wet areal. Pre plant herbicide (Ally Plus) that next is followed post emergence DMA 6 most effective to control the weed paddy direct seeded and soybean in wet areal.

Abstract

Penelitian sebelumnya diperoleh empat paket teknologi bokashi limbah kandang kelinci. Keempat paket teknologi ini perlu diuji untuk mengetahui paket teknologi yang mana yang terbaik untuk tanaman jagung manis. Selain itu perlu juga perlu diketahui dosis berapa yang terbaik dalam budidaya jagung manis tersebut. Penelitian dilaksanakan di desa Talang Ratu, Kecamatan Lebong Selatan, Kabupaten Lebong pada bulan Februari sampai Oktober 2017. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split Plot Design). Sebagai Petak Utama adalah Paket Teknologi Bokashi Limbah Kelinci (P) terdiri dari: P1= Paket Teknologi I; P2 = Paket Teknologi II; P3 = Paket Teknologi III; P4 = Paket Teknologi IV. Sebagai anak petak adalah Dosis Pupuk (D) terdiri dari: D0 = Kontrol (Tanpa Pupuk); D1 = Dosis 5 ton/ha; D2 = Dosis 10 ton/ha; D3 = Dosis 15 ton/ha; D4 = Dosis 20 ton/ha; D5 = Dosis 25 ton/ha; D6 = Pupuk Anorganik, dosis Urea 400 kg/ha, SP36 350 kg/ha dan KCl 100 kg/ha. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan: (1) Paket teknologi pupuk bokashi berbahan baku kelinci berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. (2) Perlakuan dosis pupuk bokashi berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. (3) Interaksi perlakuan paket teknologi dan dosis berpengaruh sangatnya terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. (4) Kombinasi perlakuan terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung adalah perlakuan Paket Teknologi III dengan dosis 15 ton/ha (P3D3)
