Abstract

This research was conducted in April s / d June 2017 located in Fisheries Laboratory of University Prof. Dr. Hazairin, SH Bengkulu. The design of this study used a Completely Randomized Design with 4 Treatments and 6 repeats. The treatments were (1) = CornCob 157 gram, (2) = Corncob 167 gram, (3) = CornCob 177 gram, (4) = Corncob 187 gram. To know the effect or not done an analysis of variance and continued with a test of the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) 5% and 1%. The parameters observed were absolute weight, absolute length, feed conversion, feed efficiency, and fish survival. The results showed that giving different feed composition of corn cob feed was a significant effect on absolute weight growth, absolute length, feed conversion, feed efficiency but no significant effect on survival of Tawes (Puntius javanicus). Absolute weight growth, absolute length, feed conversion, and feed efficiency are best found in Treatment P1 = Corncob 157 grams and survival of Tawes (Puntius javanicus) 100%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyiponan 0%, 15%, 30%, 45%, dan 60% untuk pertumbuhan ikan lele sangkuriang (Clarias gariepinus) pada sistem bioflok. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai 12 Juni 2016, yang berlokasi di Jl Bukit Barisan Kelurahan Tengah Padang Kecamatan Teluk Segara Kota Bengkulu. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan penyiponan bioflok yang digunakan sebagai berikut : P1= penyiponan bioflok 0%, P2 = penyiponan bioflok 15%, P3 = penyiponan bioflok 35%, P4 = penyiponan bioflok 45% , P5 = penyiponan bioflok 60%. Untuk melihat perbedaan tersebut dilakukan uji BNT. Penyiponan yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan ikan lele sangkuriang (Calias gariepenus) pada sistem bioflok berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pertumbuhan berat, pertumbuhan panjang, konversi pakan, efisiensi pakan dan kelangsungan hidup ikan lele sangkuriang. Penyiponan terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan ikan lele sangkuriang adalah perlakuan P4 (penyiponan bioflok 45%)

Abstract

Green biomass is one of major nutrient source and determines the quality of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF), including Gliricidia sepium (Jacq.) Kunth ex Walp. An experiment was conducted to study the effects of Gliricidia-enriched LOF on growth and yields of caisim, arranged in randomized complete design with three replicates. Treatments consisted of six LOF concentrations, 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%. Results indicated that concentration of gliricidia-LOF significantly influenced leaf greenness and shoot fresh weight, but not root to shoot ratio and shoot water content.  Concentrations of gliricidia-LOF increased leaf greenness and shoot fresh weight of caisim. The optimum concentration was 70.85% to produce weight of 73 grams caisim per plant. Root to shoot ratio was not significantly different. Although treatments did not affect shoot water content, all caisim water content was on average above 90 %.

Abstract

Soybean is one of the secondary crops that has a good economic value. Soybean needs are increasing with increasing population, but production is not sufficient. Extensification programs can be carried out in sub-optimal swamp swamps with water saturated cultivation technology. Low pH and high Al and Fe are the main obstacles. One of the strategies taken is the provision of coral ameliorants. The aim of this study was to obtain information on the effectiveness of coral reefs to improve the cultivation of black soybean in swamp swamps. The study was conducted in March - May 2018 at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ratu Samban Arga Makmur Bengkulu Utara. The study used a randomized block design with factorial patterns. The first factor in the dose of ameliorant per plant consisted of: P0: control, P1= 5 g, P2 = 6 g, P3= 7 g, P4= 8 g, P5= 9 g, P6= 10 g. The second factor when the ameliorant application consists of: W1= 4 weeks before planting (MBT), W2 = 3 MBT, W3 = 2 MBT, W4 = 1 MBT, W5= when planting, W6= 1 weeks after panting. The results showed that the treatment of the dose and time of application of coral ameliorants had a very significant effect on plant height and number of leaves. There is no real interaction between the dose and time of ameliorant application to all variables. The best dose of ameliorant treatment is 9 g per plant and can increase the height and number of leaves per plant. When the application of 1 MBT and 1 MST is able to produce the best height and number of leaves.

Abstract

Tissue culture propagation is mostly done to increase orchid seeds. However, the acclimatization stage in tissue culture is a very important factor because climate conditions in green houses are very different from the conditions in the culture bottle. Besides that the planting medium and fertilizer given at the acclimatization stage need to be considered so that orchid seedlings can grow and develop optimally. This study aims to obtain planting media and obtain good liquid organic fertilizer at the acclimatization stage on the growth of moon orchid seedlings (Phalaenopsis amabilisi) resulting from tissue culture. The completely Randomized design was used with two factors and 3 replications. The first factor was type aclimatization the medium of fern root, rice husk, and coffee compost. The second factor of liquid organic fertilizer. The type is control, SUPRA liquid fertilizer and Bioto Grow. The variables observed were the percentage of life, the increased of the planlet height, the time of shooted, the increased of the number of leaves, the increased of the leaf length, number of leaves, the increased of the stem diameter. Observation data were analyzed using variance analysis and BNT further testing. The results showed that the two types of fertilizer used had no significant effect on plantlets height, when new leaves grew, leaf length, number of leaves, but significantly affected the stem diameter. The three types of growing media have a significant effect on plant height, when growing new leaves, leaf length, number of leaves, and stem diameter. While the interaction in both treatments did not show the real effect on all observed variables. The use of good media is seen in coffee compost and fern root media through the application of Bioto Grow liquid fertilizer.

Abstract

Ketersediaan stok ikan sidat kaca di muara Sungai Cimandiri cukup berlimpah. Benih ikan ini apabila dikelola dan dimanfaatkan dengan baik dapat memberikan kontribusi yang besar bagi kesejahteraan masyarakat di sekitarnya. Pakan menjadi faktor kunci untuk menopang kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan benih. Informasi tentang pakan yang tepat untuk ikan Sidat Kaca sangat dibutuhkan untuk manajemen pakan benih bagi budidaya pembesaran benih sidat. Penelitian ini mengkaji makanan alami ikan Sidat Kaca di muara Sungai Cimandiri. Sampel ikan diambil dari Muara Sungai Cimandiri, Pelabuhan Ratu, Jawa Barat dari bulan Oktober hingga Desember 2013. Analisis isi saluran pencernaan dilakukan menggunakan metode gabungan, yaitu frekuensi kejadian dan volumetrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis makanan alami yang ditemukan dalam saluran pencernaan ikan sidat kaca adalah kelompok fitoplankton dari kelas Cyanophyceae, Oscilatoria, Coscinosdiscus, dan Rhizocllonium, Bacillariophycea, Navicula, dan Synedra, dan Clorophyceae Chorella, sedangkan dari kelompok zooplankton yaitu Notholca sp., Nauplius sp.. Pada fase Sidat Kaca, ukuran makanannya berkisar 3,7 – 90,0 µm atau berkisar 1,1% - 24,7% dari lebar bukaan mulutnya.

Abstract

The biofloc system catfish wastewater is in the form of accumulation of organic residues from feed residues, catfish manure, feed particles and bacteria and algae, because the biofloc catfish cultivation wastewater can be processed into organic fertilizer especially liquid organic fertilizer. The study used a completely randomized single factor treatment with an aerobic (A) fermentation process and Anaerobic fermentation process (B). Each treatment was repeated 8 times to obtain 16 experimental units. Furthermore, the results of the study data were analyzed by variance at the level of 5 percent. The results showed that the growth rate of catfish was very good. Where growth continues to increase the 10th day observation until the end of the study. While the content of N, P and K in the POC produced did not show a significant difference between POC fermented by Aerob and Anaerob. POC content fermented by Aerob; N = 1.645, P = 0.326 and K = 1.143 while Anaerobic fermentation; N = 2.189, P = 0.278 and K = 1.165.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi media dengan pupuk bokashi limbah kulit kopi terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kopi robusta di persemaian main nursery dan mengetahui komposisi terbaik yang mampu menggantikan penggunaan pupuk kimia pada pembibitan kopi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Tugu Rejo Kecamatan Kabawetan Kabupaten Kepahiang Provinsi Bengkulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan 6 (enam) perlakuan yaitu komposisi bokashi pada media tanam (P). Masing-masing komposisi perlakuan diulang 4 (empat) kali, sehingga diperoleh 24 satuan percobaan. Setiap satuan percobaan terdapat 5 (lima) polibag, sehingga terdapat 120 polibag. setiap unit pecobaan diambil 3 (tiga) sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan media pupuk bokashi limbah kulit kopi berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap berat kering bibit kopi, berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dan berat basah, dan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap jumlah daun dan diameter batang. Pengaruh komposisi media pupuk bokashi limbah kulit kopi terbaik ditunjukan nilai tinggi tanaman 13,63 Penggunaan pupuk bokashi limbah kulit kopi mampu menstubtitusi pemberian pupuk anorganik pada pembibitan main nursery. Penggunaan media dengan komposisi satu bagian tanah sub soil dicampur dengan empat bagian bokashi limbah kulit kopi pada pembibitan kopi robusta pada main nursery memberikan hasil yang baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati hama dan penyakit penting yang muncul dalam budidaya Kubis bunga di dataran rendah dalam berbagai perlakuan dosis pupuk kandang dan pupuk kimia. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni sampai September 2014, di Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (BPTP) Bengkulu dengan ketinggian tempat ± 12 m dpl. Perlakuan pemupukan yanng diberikan adalah : Perlakuan sebagai berikut : P0 = Kontrol, P1 = 0 pupuk kandang + 6 g/polybag pupuk NPK (400 kg/ha) P2 = 150 g/polybag pupuk kandang (10 ton/ha) + 4,5 g/polybag pupuk NPK (300kg/ha), P3 = 300 g/polybag pupuk kandang (20 ton/ha) + 3 g/polybag pupuk NPK (200 kg/ha), P4 = 450 g/polybag pupuk kandang (30 ton/ha) + 1,5 g/polybag pupuk NPK (100 kg/ha), P5 = 600 g/polybag pupuk kandang (40 ton/ha) + 0 pupuk NPK. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hama yang muncul menyerang tanaman adalah Hama Chrysodeixis chalcites (Esp.) dan hama Plutella maculipennis. Penyakit yang muncul adalah Penyakit busuk hitam yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Xanthomonas campestris Dows. Perlakuan yang memberikan hasil terbaik dimana tidak terdapat serangan hama maupun penyakit tanaman adalah perlakuan P3 = 300 g/polybag pupuk kandang (20 ton/ha) + 3 g/polybag pupuk NPK (200 kg/ha).
