Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum represents a major educational reform in Indonesia designed to enhance learning quality through curriculum flexibility, authentic assessment, and the strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile. This study aims to analyze the underlying principles and approaches in the development of the Merdeka Curriculum as well as the key challenges encountered during its implementation in schools. Employing a literature review method, this research synthesizes policy documents, scholarly articles, and relevant theoretical sources through thematic analysis. The findings indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum offers a more adaptive and learner-oriented framework that aligns with the demands of the 21st century and contemporary global developments. The curriculum provides greater autonomy for teachers and schools, encourages project-based learning, and places a strong emphasis on character development. However, the results also reveal several persistent obstacles, including limited teacher readiness to act as curriculum designers, disparities in technological and digital infrastructure across regions, and inconsistent application of authentic assessment practices. These challenges hinder the full realization of learning transformation as intended by the curriculum. Therefore, future educational reform efforts must prioritize continuous teacher professional development, equitable distribution of educational resources, and the cultivation of an innovative school culture. Strengthening these aspects is essential to ensure that the Merdeka Curriculum can be implemented effectively and that the Pancasila Student Profile can be achieved consistently across diverse educational settings in Indonesia.

This study explores the roles of adaptive and participative leadership of school principals and their correlation in improving educational quality Adaptive leadership plays a central role in addressing policy dynamics, societal changes, and the increasingly complex needs of students by emphasizing vision, collaboration, and a culture of continuous learning Meanwhile, participative leadership focuses on involving teachers, staff, students, and parents in decision-making, planning, and school program implementation, thereby fostering a democratic, inclusive, and collaborative environment The findings indicate that adaptive leadership functions as a macro strategy for managing change, while participative leadership serves as a micro strategy to ensure the active participation of all stakeholders Both leadership models are integrative and complementary, creating innovative, democratic, and competitive schools capable of responding to the challenges of the disruption era

Abstract

Active learning is an important aspect of learning. However, IPAS learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah still shows low student involvement, especially when the material is not associated with real experiences. The research aims to describe the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach to foster the activeness of class V students. The results of the study showed that the application of CTL through environmental observation, group discussions, and simple investigations was able to increase the courage to ask questions, involvement in discussions, and students' ability to relate the material to real situations. Learning is also in line with the seven components of CTL including constructivism, questioning, discovery, learning community, modeling, reflection, and authentic assessment so that the learning process becomes more meaningful. Strengthening teacher competence and adjusting the implementation of CTL to the characteristics of students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is recommended for optimizing its implementation.

Abstract

Conceptual understanding of food and the human digestive system remains a challenge in biology education because learning activities often rely on memorization and fail to meaningfully connect scientific concepts with real-life contexts. This literature study aims to examine and formulate the SILAJARA learning model (Observe, Identify, Perform, Analyze, Explain, Reflect, Apply) as an innovation based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), emphasizing contextual, reflective, and applicative learning experiences. The model was developed through an analysis of constructivist theory, CTL principles, and recent research findings related to contextual biology learning. The results of the review show that SILAJARA consists of seven structured learning stages that guide students from contextual observation to the application of values in daily life. The model is supported by essential components, including the social system, reaction principles, support system, and instructional as well as nurturant effects. Conceptually, SILAJARA has the potential to improve conceptual understanding, learning engagement, analytical skills, and reflective awareness of digestive health. Therefore, SILAJARA can serve as an adaptive and meaningful alternative learning model relevant to the needs of 21st-century biology education.

Abstract

This quasi-experimental research examines the effect of using the interactive learning media Wordwall on the social studies learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school students. The study was conducted at SDN Jatibening II with two groups: an experimental group using Wordwall and a control group using conventional textbooks. Data were collected through validated pre-test and post-test instruments. Normality and homogeneity tests indicated that the data met statistical assumptions. The independent sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.005 (< 0.05), indicating that Wordwall had a significant positive effect on students’ learning outcomes. The results suggest that Wordwall effectively increases students’ engagement and cognitive achievement in social studies learning.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of students in multiplication material in grade IV UPT SPF SDN 106828 Sumberejo, where 60% of students obtained scores below the KKM (70). Conventional mathematics learning and the lack of interesting learning media cause students to experience difficulties in understanding multiplication concepts and memorizing multiplication tables. The purpose of this study is to develop a valid, practical, and effective Android-based Mathchess learning media to overcome the multiplication problems of grade IV students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects were 26 grade IV students of UPT SPF SDN 106828 Sumberejo. Data collection techniques used expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively to determine the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the learning media. The results of a field trial involving 26 fourth-grade students of UPT SPF SDN 106828 Sumberejo showed the effectiveness of Mathchess media in improving students' multiplication skills. The trial data showed that students experienced a significant increase in mastery of multiplication material. A total of six students achieved the highest score of 87-90 with the ability to master multiplication up to number 9, ten students obtained a score of 80-86 with mastery of multiplication up to number 7, five students with a score of 77 were able to master multiplication up to number 6, and five students with a score of 70 mastered multiplication up to number 5. The average overall score of students reached 79.54, Based on the results of research and discussion on the development of Android-based Mathchess media to overcome the multiplication problems of fourth-grade students of UPT SPF SDN 106828 Sumberejo. The Mathchess learning media was declared valid and suitable for use based on validation results from material experts (81% - suitable), media experts (62% - suitable), and education practitioners (56.25% - quite suitable), with an average suitability of 66.42%. Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for Al-Qur'an Hadith learning that can respond to developments in the digital era without neglecting Islamic values. The uniqueness of this research lies in the use of interactive multimedia learning media developed directly by Al-Qur'an Hadith teachers at MAN 1 Bandar Lampung, so that innovation emerges from within the madrasah and does not adopt external platforms as is often found in similar studies. This study aims to describe the implementation of interactive multimedia media, students' learning motivation after using it, and the relationship between the two in the context of Al-Qur'an Hadith learning. The approach used is qualitative with a case study design. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers, students, and madrasah officials. Data analysis follows the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the findings is strengthened through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The results show that interactive multimedia media is implemented through careful planning, participatory implementation, and evaluation that emphasizes digital feedback. This media has been proven to increase student learning motivation through a combination of visual and audio, a systematic pedagogical flow, gamification elements in digital quizzes, and interactive features that make learning more engaging and spiritually meaningful. The study concluded that the integration of interactive multimedia media can strengthen student engagement and motivation in studying the Quran and Hadith, while also serving as a relevant model for digital learning innovation for madrasas in the technological era.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the perspectives of educational philosophy on the implementation of the Independent Curriculum as a new paradigm in the Indonesian education system. This study was conducted to understand how various schools of educational philosophy provide a conceptual foundation for the principle of independent learning. The research method used is a literature review by analyzing various scientific sources discussing educational philosophy, learning practices, and the policies of the Independent Curriculum. The results show that educational philosophy plays an important role in shaping the direction, goals, and methods of learning. Various schools of educational philosophy contribute to directing education towards student-centered, relevant, and contextual learning. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum reflects the values ​​of humanism, existentialism, constructivism, and progressivism that emphasize freedom, responsibility, and the optimal development of individual potential. With this philosophical foundation, the Independent Curriculum is expected to produce a generation of Pancasila students who are creative, independent, have character, and are ready to face global challenges. Abstract

Artikel ini membahas implementasi manajemen sumber daya manusia berbasis kompetensi di lembaga pendidikan Islam melalui studi literatur. Fokus kajian meliputi konsep manajemen sumber daya manusia, integrasi nilai-nilai Islam, serta tantangan implementasi dalam konteks perubahan global. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan berbasis kompetensi menjadi strategi penting untuk meningkatkan profesionalitas, kinerja, dan integritas tenaga pendidik serta kependidikan. Kompetensi yang dikembangkan mencakup pedagogik, profesional, sosial, kepribadian, dan spiritual sesuai karakter pendidikan Islam. Nilai-nilai Islam seperti amanah, ikhlas, shiddiq, dan fathanah turut membentuk etos kerja dan budaya organisasi yang religius. Namun, implementasi manajemen sumber daya manusia berbasis kompetensi masih menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan pelatihan, resistensi budaya, kesulitan penilaian objektif, serta kurangnya integrasi sistem sumber daya manusia. Oleh karena itu, lembaga pendidikan Islam perlu menerapkan perencanaan strategis, pembinaan berkelanjutan, serta kepemimpinan visioner untuk memastikan efektivitas pengelolaan SDM. Kajian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dan praktis mengenai pentingnya pengelolaan SDM yang profesional dan berakar pada nilai-nilai Islam.

Abstract

This study purpose to develop a gamification-based Project Book learning media to improve the ability to write simple paragraphs for second-grade students at SDN Kebon Baru 07 Pagi, Jakarta Selatan. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects consisted of 31 students in class IIA. Data collection instruments included expert validation, student and teacher response questionnaires, as well as pre-test and post-test to assess the improvement in writing skills. The results indicated that the developed Project Book is feasible to use, with expert validation scores of 92% for media experts and 94.28% for content experts. The N-gain test results showed that 18 students (58%) achieved high improvement, 13 students (42%) achieved moderate improvement, and no student was in the low category. These findings demonstrate that the Project Book is effective in enhancing second-grade students’ ability to write simple paragraphs.
