Abstract

Understanding the concept of the five senses in elementary school students is still often a challenge, mainly because the learning process tends to focus on memorization and one-way explanations. This condition makes it difficult for students to connect the material with real experiences. This study aims to improve the understanding of the concept of the five senses in third-grade students through the application of a guided inquiry model. This classroom action research used a quantitative approach with 26 third-grade students of SDN 105337 Pantai Labu Pekan as subjects. The learning action was carried out in three meetings involving experimental activities, group discussions, and poster making. Data were obtained through diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments, including multiple-choice student worksheets (LKPD), process observations, and creative product assessments. The results showed that the guided inquiry model was able to increase student engagement in the learning process and strengthen understanding of the five senses concept. Most students achieved the "Good" to "Very Good" category, while only a few were in the "Sufficient" and "Poor" categories. The poster products produced by students also demonstrated their ability to connect the material to the context of everyday life and local wisdom values. Overall, the application of guided inquiry proved effective in developing students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects while creating more interactive, meaningful, and contextual learning. These findings confirm that the guided inquiry approach can be a relevant alternative learning strategy to improve the quality of science learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This article analyzes the role of the Arabic language as a guardian of tradition and a cultural medium of Islam in Indonesia through a synthesis of historical and theoretical perspectives. Arabic has served as an essential foundation of Islamic civilization, spreading to the Nusantara through trade routes as early as the 9th century and undergoing acculturation with local cultures. Its development occurred gradually, beginning with its liturgical function among early Muslim communities, followed by administrative and scholarly uses during the era of Islamic kingdoms, and later its institutionalization through pesantren and modern educational institutions. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach based on a literature review to interpret historical texts, religious sources, and scholarly works related to the development of Arabic. The analysis is carried out using content analysis techniques to identify historical patterns, social functions, and the symbolic meanings of Arabic within Indonesian Muslim society. The findings indicate that Arabic functions not only as a means of communication but also as symbolic capital that shapes collective identity through rituals, arts, vocabulary, and cultural practices. In the era of globalization, Arabic faces challenges due to the dominance of global languages and traditional learning methods, yet it is also experiencing revitalization through digital technologies, social media, and the strengthening of academic and sharia economic fields. The study concludes that Arabic possesses strong resilience and continues to adapt to modern contexts, thus remaining a central medium for preserving tradition, transmitting knowledge, and reinforcing the religious identity of Indonesian Muslim communities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with contextual teaching in improving students’ conceptual understanding of the states of matter and their changes in Grade IV at UPTD SDN 47 Gedong Tataan. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a One Group Pretest–Posttest design involving 20 students. Data were collected using learning outcome tests and analyzed through the Shapiro–Wilk normality test and paired sample t-test. The results showed that the data were normally distributed (Sig. 0.658 > 0.05) and that there was a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). The mean score increased from 62.50 to 82.00, with an effect size of 2.20, categorized as very large. Therefore, the integrated PBL and contextual approach is effective in improving science learning outcomes on the topic of states of matter.

Abstract

Pendidikan inklusif merupakan perwujudan dari cita-cita keadilan, kesetaraan, dan penghargaan terhadap martabat manusia. Namun, implementasinya di Indonesia masih menunjukkan kesenjangan antara idealisme filosofis dan realitas pelaksanaannya di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pendidikan inklusi melalui tiga dimensi filsafat, yaitu ontologis, epistemologis, dan aksiologis, serta mengidentifikasi sejauh mana nilai-nilai tersebut tercermin dalam kebijakan dan praktik pendidikan inklusif di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan melalui telaah jurnal ilmiah, buku, dan dokumen kebijakan terkait pendidikan inklusif serta kajian filosofis pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan inklusi di Indonesia masih didominasi pendekatan administratif dan teknis, belum sepenuhnya mencerminkan pengakuan ontologis terhadap keberadaan murid sebagai individu unik, epistemologi pembelajaran yang menghargai keragaman cara belajar, serta nilai aksiologis berupa keadilan substantif dan penghargaan terhadap keberagaman. Selain itu, tantangan implementatif mencakup keterbatasan kompetensi guru, sarana yang tidak memadai, pendanaan yang belum merata, stigma sosial, serta ketimpangan geografis. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa rekonstruksi kebijakan pendidikan inklusi perlu diarahkan pada transformasi paradigma, sistem, dan praktik agar lebih adaptif, humanis, dan berkeadilan sehingga idealisme filosofis pendidikan inklusi benar-benar terwujud dalam implementasi di sekolah. Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate an interactive multimedia module for the Educational Statistics course to improve students’ statistical literacy and learning outcomes in higher education. The background of the research lies in the low level of statistical literacy of students and the tendency for learning activities to be dominated by theoretical delivery without meaningful interaction or contextual exploration. The research follows a development model with stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, involving subject matter experts, instructional media specialists, and undergraduate students as research participants. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and pretest–posttest learning assessments. The results show that the developed module meets the criteria of being highly valid in terms of content accuracy, instructional design, multimedia display, and usability. The practicality test demonstrates positive responses from both lecturers and students, indicating that the module is easy to use, attractive, and supportive of autonomous learning. The effectiveness test also shows a significant increase in students’ statistical literacy, proven by a higher N-Gain score in the experimental class compared to the control class. These findings prove that the interactive multimedia module can enhance conceptual understanding, analytical skills, and critical thinking in statistical learning. The study recommends further refinement through gamification features and real dataset simulations to expand user experience and future implementation on different subjects and educational levels.

Abstract

This study examines the critical discourse analysis of religious moderation values ​​in the YouTube program "Log In" Episode 30 Season 2 as a representation of digital media for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in the Society 5.0 era, with a study focus on SMAN 9 Bandar Lampung. The "Log In" program, presented by Husein Ja'far Al-Hadar and Onadio Leonardo, is one of the moderate da'wah programs on YouTube that presents messages of tolerance, togetherness, and anti-extremism. The purpose of this study is to analyze the discourse of religious moderation values ​​in the program, identify representations of moderate Islamic education with materials sourced from digital platforms, and see its relevance to the context of PAI learning at SMAN 9 Bandar Lampung. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the Critical Discourse Analysis method (Critical Discourse Analysis) model of Norman Fairclough, which includes three stages: text analysis, discourse practice (discursive), and social practice. Data were obtained through documentation of the YouTube broadcast "Log-In" Episode 30 Season 2, as well as observations and interviews with teachers and students at SMAN 9 Bandar Lampung. The results of the study indicate that the values ​​of religious moderation represented in the broadcast include tolerance, anti-violence, social justice, national commitment, critical thinking, and rahmatan lil 'alamin. These values ​​are classified into four main aspects of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) material: the Qur'an and Hadith, Creed, Morals, Jurisprudence, and Islamic History, and are directly relevant to strengthening Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning indicators at the high school level.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of anti-bullying education programs in preventing bullying behavior in several junior high schools (SMP) in Makassar City, as well as to identify the factors that influence their success and the challenges faced during implementation. Using a literature review method, this research analyzes journals, policy documents, and previous studies related to anti-bullying programs implemented between 2015 and 2024. The findings show that Makassar’s anti-bullying initiatives such as the Child-Friendly School program, school-based anti-bullying task forces, teacher training, public awareness campaigns, counseling services, and student-led initiatives like Roots Indonesia have contributed significantly to reducing bullying incidents, particularly in schools with strong administrative support, well-trained teachers, active student engagement, and parental involvement. However, program effectiveness remains limited in schools experiencing challenges such as inadequate resources, inconsistent implementation, lack of safe reporting mechanisms, and school cultures that tolerate mild verbal aggression. Overall, the study concludes that program success is strongly influenced by implementation quality and cross-stakeholder collaboration. Therefore, continuous evaluation, enhanced teacher capacity, and strengthened cooperation among schools, parents, and communities are essential to create safe and violence-free learning environments.

Abstract

Penanaman nilai empati sejak usia dini merupakan aspek penting dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses internalisasi nilai empati melalui cerita rakyat Bawang Merah Bawang Putih sebagai media pembelajaran karakter di sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Cerita rakyat dipilih karena mengandung nilai-nilai moral yang relevan dengan kehidupan sosial siswa, seperti kepedulian, kejujuran, dan kasih sayang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru dapat menginternalisasikan nilai empati melalui kegiatan membaca dan mendiskusikan isi cerita, bermain peran, serta refleksi pengalaman pribadi siswa. Proses ini mendorong siswa untuk memahami perasaan orang lain, menumbuhkan sikap saling menghargai, dan meningkatkan hubungan sosial yang harmonis di lingkungan sekolah. Dengan demikian, penggunaan cerita rakyat sebagai sarana pendidikan karakter terbukti efektif dalam menanamkan nilai empati pada siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Ikatan Mahasiswa Kabupaten Muara Enim Sumatera Selatan (IMMETA Sumsel), particularly the Department of Social Community and Environment, in developing social care and environmental awareness among its members. The background of this study lies in the importance of character education in higher education as an effort to shape a young generation that is responsible, empathetic, and sensitive to social and environmental issues. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, using data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation involving nine informants, consisting of the general chairperson, three administrators of the Department of Social Community and Environment, and five active members as supporting informants. The findings indicate that the Department of Social Community and Environment of IMMETA Sumsel plays a significant role in fostering both social care and environmental awareness among its members. Through various social and environmental activities, the department not only serves as a platform for developing the potential of student members but also as a medium for cultivating character values, particularly those related to social concern and environmental responsibility.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi, dinamika sosial, dan tekanan globalisasi telah memicu krisis identitas pendidikan tinggi Indonesia, yang ditandai oleh disorientasi tujuan institusi, melemahnya budaya ilmiah, dan degradasi nilai moral. Penelitian ini menganalisis krisis tersebut melalui perspektif filsafat ilmu, khususnya dimensi ontologi, epistemologi, dan aksiologi, serta merumuskan pendekatan konseptual untuk memperkuat identitas pendidikan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi literatur yaitu menelaah artikel nasional dan internasional melalui proses identifikasi, seleksi, pembacaan mendalam, dan sintesis tematik. Analisis data mengikuti model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana serta diperkuat triangulasi sumber. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa krisis ontologis muncul akibat komersialisasi dan birokratisasi yang menyempitkan makna pendidikan menjadi aktivitas teknokratis. Krisis epistemologis tampak melalui rendahnya literasi akademik, melemahnya budaya riset, dan maraknya plagiarisme yang menggeser pendidikan dari pencarian kebenaran. Krisis aksiologis terlihat dalam menurunnya integritas moral, etika ilmiah, dan tanggung jawab sosial. Sintesis literatur merekomendasikan rekonstruksi ontologis berbasis pemanusiaan, reformasi epistemologis melalui penguatan budaya ilmiah dan integritas akademik, serta revitalisasi aksiologis melalui internalisasi nilai moral dan misi sosial. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa identitas pendidikan tinggi hanya dapat diperkuat melalui integrasi seimbang antara makna, pengetahuan, dan nilai dalam seluruh proses akademik Kata Kunci: Krisis Identitas Pendidikan Tinggi, Filsafat Ilmu, Ontologi, Epistemologi, Aksiologi
