Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of TikTok by adolescents in Luhu Village, Huamual District, West Seram Regency, Maluku Province, and its impact on adolescent morality. The method used was a qualitative approach with data collection through observation, in-depth interviews with 25 informants, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that adolescents use TikTok intensively, averaging 3–4 hours per day, primarily for watching entertainment content, dancing, and viral trends. Positive impacts found include increased creativity, ease of access to information, and the ability to express themselves. Meanwhile, negative impacts include decreased direct social interaction, imitation of content or language that does not conform to social and religious norms, and impaired learning discipline. Environmental factors, such as minimal parental supervision, exacerbate these negative influences. This study emphasizes the need for parents, educators, and the community to provide guidance and supervision so that TikTok use can be directed towards positive things.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between Islam, technology, and artificial intelligence through four main focuses: digital religion; the dynamics of fatwas and religious authority in the AI era; the ethics of technology from an Islamic perspective; and the emerging epistemological challenges in education. This method includes a literature review and thematic content analysis of various relevant scientific sources. The results of the study indicate that traditional religious authority has been transformed by the presence of AI in Islamic education, particularly due to the emergence of digital platforms that allow fatwas to be distributed more widely and are no longer centralized. From an ethical perspective, the principle of maqasid al-shariah can be an important foundation for assessing and directing the development of artificial intelligence technology to remain aligned with Islamic values. From an epistemological perspective, however, artificial intelligence presents new challenges to the concept of knowledge in Islam, particularly related to the distinction between certain knowledge (ilm al-yaqin) and conjectural knowledge (zanniyyat). Based on the results, this study emphasizes the importance of building an artificial intelligence literacy curriculum in Islamic educational institutions that is based on the values of the Qur'an and the prophetic tradition.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Realistic Mathematics Education model based on Acehnese culture assisted by Artificial Intelligence in improving elementary school students’ numeracy literacy in a post-disaster context. This research is motivated by the low level of students’ numeracy literacy and the suboptimal implementation of contextual learning and technology utilization in mathematics instruction. In post-disaster conditions, learning challenges become more complex, requiring adaptive, contextual, and technology-based learning innovations. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subjects of the study were 28 students at UPTD SD Negeri 4 Bireuen. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, paired sample t-tests, and N-Gain calculations to determine the level of improvement in students’ numeracy literacy. The results showed a significant improvement between pretest and posttest scores with a significance value (p < 0.05). The average numeracy literacy ability of students increased from low to moderate and high categories. The N-Gain results were in the moderate to high category, indicating that the implemented learning model was effective. In addition, observational results showed improvements in students’ learning activities, motivation, and engagement. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the RME model based on Acehnese culture assisted by Artificial Intelligence is effective in improving elementary school students’ numeracy literacy in a post-disaster context. This model integrates contextual approaches, local wisdom, and technology synergistically, thereby creating meaningful, adaptive, and innovative learning. This study is expected to contribute to the development of mathematics education and serve as a reference for educators in implementing context-based and technology-enhanced learning.
