Abstract

The management of educational facilities and infrastructure is a crucial factor in supporting the effectiveness of the learning process, particularly in multi-branch educational institutions that face higher levels of managerial complexity. This study aims to analyze adaptive resilience strategies in managing educational facilities and infrastructure at MTs Ma’arif NU Purworejo. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach. The research subjects included the principal and the vice principal for facilities and infrastructure. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that the institution implements adaptive resilience strategies through optimizing facility utilization, applying a rotational learning system, integrating digital technology, and adopting systematic planning-based management. These strategies reflect the institution’s capacity to survive, adapt, and innovate in response to existing limitations. Therefore, adaptive resilience serves not only as a solution to challenges in managing educational facilities and infrastructure but also as a strategic approach to maintaining effectiveness, quality, and sustainability in multi-branch educational institutions.

Abstract

The digital era has brought fundamental changes to Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), which are expected to produce santri who are independent, innovative, and competitive without abandoning Islamic values. This study aims to: (1) analyze the kyai's leadership vision in fostering the entrepreneurial spirit of santri in the digital era, (2) describe the leadership approaches applied by the kyai, and (3) examine the impact of kyai leadership at Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic Boarding School, Malang City. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings indicate: (1) The kyai's leadership vision is oriented toward the holistic development of santri independence encompassing spiritual, character, and economic dimensions, with digital technology as an entrepreneurship support tool aligned with Islamic ethics; (2) The leadership approach is implemented through three integrated strategies: exemplary leadership, santri development and empowerment through the Santri Preneur program and Vocational Training Center (BLK) using learning by doing, and digitalization through an AI laboratory and social media-based digital marketing; (3) The impact is manifested in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions, evidenced by increased revenue of the koi fish business unit reaching IDR 60 million via TikTok, achieving first place in a national inter-pesantren entrepreneurship competition, and santri initiating digital-based independent businesses.

Abstract

The research aimed to examine the impact of PBL on enhancing students' conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills, as well as to identify challenges encountered during implementation. A mixed-methods approach was employed, with quantitative data collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and qualitative data gathered via semi-structured interviews; data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings indicate that the systematic implementation of PBL effectively improved student engagement, analytical abilities, and comprehension of biotic and abiotic relationships within ecosystems. Furthermore, the integration of real-world problems and digital media enhanced student motivation and active participation. However, challenges such as time constraints, limited learning resources, and passive participation among some students were observed. Mitigation strategies including more efficient time management and the provision of additional guidance proved effective in addressing these obstacles. In conclusion, PBL is an effective approach for improving the quality of biology education, particularly in ecosystem-related topics, provided that teachers are adequately prepared and appropriate strategic adjustments are implemented.

Abstract

Considering the importance of English-speaking ability in both academic contexts and daily communication, this study explores students’ everyday habits that support the mastery of speaking, including fluency, pronunciation, and verbal interaction. The purpose of this research is to identify habits that contribute to the development of English-speaking ability among students. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through classroom observation and in-depth interviews. The participants were second-semester students from the Psychology Study Program, Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Buana Perjuangan Karawang. The findings reveal eight key habits that enhance speaking performance: practicing self-monologues, watching films and repeating vocabulary, listening to songs, recording new vocabulary, reading English texts, engaging in social interaction, using learning applications, and setting gadgets to English. These habits indicate that effective English learning extends beyond formal instruction and is shaped by reflective, contextual, and sustained personal practices. The study provides implications for the development of adaptive learning strategies that integrate cognitive and behavioral aspects of language acquisition.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the speaking skill (maharah kalam) learning strategies implemented through the Arabic Camp program at Pusdiklat UNIDA Gontor and Akbar.id. The study is motivated by the importance of speaking skills in Arabic language learning and the need for innovative, communicative, and contextual learning strategies. Arabic Camp, as a form of non-formal learning, is considered effective in creating an intensive language environment that encourages students to actively use Arabic in daily communication. The approach used in this research was qualitative, using a multiple-case study model. Data collection was conducted through field observations, interviews with informants, and analysis of relevant documents. All data obtained was then analyzed descriptively to illustrate the phenomenon under study. The findings reveal that the Arabic Camp program at Akbar.id is based on partner schools’ needs, while at Pusdiklat UNIDA Gontor it originates from academic needs and has developed into an institutional training program. Both institutions apply student-centered learning and communicative approaches with an emphasis on speaking practice. Akbar.id focuses on providing frequent speaking opportunities, whereas Pusdiklat UNIDA Gontor applies a more structured approach through skill integration, stimulus, and scaffolding. In terms of language environment, Akbar.id applies a modeling approach without coercion, while Pusdiklat UNIDA Gontor uses a persuasive and humanistic approach. This study concludes that the Arabic Camp program is effective in improving students’ speaking skills, particularly in terms of confidence and active participation, influenced by learning strategies, tutor roles, and language environment. Abstract

Analysis of Language Style in the Lyrics of the Song "Ajaib" by Gempita Stylistic Studies. This research aims to examine the use of language styles in the lyrics of the song "Ajaib" sung by Gempita through a stylistic approach. The language style contained in the lyrics of this song utilizes various language elements which function to convey messages, emotions and meaning in an effective way to listeners. The analysis was carried out using a qualitative approach, with a focus on identifying and interpreting language styles such as metaphor, personification, repetition and alliteration. The findings from this analysis show that the language style in the lyrics of the song "Ajaib" plays a role in enriching artistic expression, deepening emotional impressions, and creating a strong impact on listeners. Apart from that, the language style used also reflects unique characteristics in conveying messages about magic and extraordinary feelings which are the core of the song's theme. It is hoped that this research will provide deeper insight into the role of linguistic style in popular music works, especially in creating an aesthetic experience for listeners.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the joyful learning method in improving students’ learning interest in Islamic Religious Education at MAN 2 Sukabumi City. The background of this research is the low level of students’ learning interest, which is reflected in passive participation and lack of enthusiasm during the learning process. This study uses a qualitative approach with a field research method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving Islamic Religious Education teachers and students. The data analysis technique was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the joyful learning method can create a more interactive, enjoyable, and student-centered learning atmosphere. This condition has a positive impact on increasing students’ attention, activeness, enthusiasm, and involvement in the learning process. In addition, students become more confident and motivated in participating in classroom activities. Therefore, the joyful learning method can be considered an effective alternative learning strategy in improving students’ learning interest, especially in Islamic Religious Education subjects.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain how Social Studies (IPS) instruction enhances the social awareness of fifth-grade elementary school students. Through a literature review based on various relevant scientific articles, this study employs a qualitative methodology with a descriptive research design. Documentation was used to collect data, and qualitative descriptive analysis was employed to identify, categorize, compare, and draw conclusions from the various research findings. The findings indicate that Social Studies (IPS) instruction is crucial for fostering social values, including empathy, responsibility, cooperation, and environmental awareness. Students’ social awareness has increased through the use of creative teaching techniques, the integration of character values, and the development of these values in the classroom. Nevertheless, there are still several obstacles to its implementation, such as a lack of diversity in learning strategies and a lack of utilization of the teacher’s role in linking lesson material to students’ real-life experiences. Therefore, to maximize the development of students’ social character, more contextual and participatory innovations are needed in social studies education.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the improvement of students' critical thinking skills, the implementation of learning, and student responses through the application of the guided inquiry learning model assisted by Liveworksheet on the topic of mixture separation. This quantitative study employed a Pre-Experimental design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest pattern. The subjects were 31 students of class VIII-H at SMPN 3 Sidoarjo in the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected using critical thinking skill tests, learning implementation observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The results showed an improvement in critical thinking skills with an average N-Gain of 0.83 (high category), where 74.2% of students reached the high category. The Wilcoxon test resulted in an Asymp. Sig. value of 0.000 (< 0.05), proving a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores.  The learning implementation reached an average of 94.04% in the first meeting and increased to 100% in the second meeting, categorized as "Excellent”. Student responses were highly positive with an average percentage of 82.5% (Excellent category). In conclusion, the guided inquiry learning model assisted by Liveworksheet is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills on the topic of mixture separation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the “Senam Anak Indonesia Hebat” activity on the level of physical fitness in the form of agility among fourth grade students at SD Swasta Hosana. This research used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method employing a one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study consisted of all fourth grade students of SD Swasta Hosana totaling 23 students, and all of them were used as the research sample. Data were collected through a physical fitness test using the 4 × 10 meter shuttle run test to measure students' agility levels. Data analysis was carried out using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test and continued with the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test for hypothesis testing because one of the data sets was not normally distributed. The results of the study showed that there was an improvement in students' agility after being given treatment in the form of the Senam Anak Indonesia Hebat” activity. This can be seen from the average pretest score of 15.38 seconds and the average posttest score of 12.82 seconds, which indicates a decrease in completion time in the agility test. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test, a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 was obtained, so it can be concluded that the “Senam Anak Indonesia Hebat” activity has a significant effect on improving the agility of fourth grade students at SD Swasta Hosana.
