Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the traditional plate-breaking game infused with Batak Toba local wisdom on the gross motor skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 068084 Jalan Denai. This study employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach and a pre-test post-test kontrol group design. The research subjects consisted of 48 students divided into an experimental class and a kontrol class. Data collection techniques were conducted through a gross motor skills rubric test covering indicators of running, jumping, and throwing. The study began with a pretest to determine the students' initial abilities, followed by the application of traditional plate-breaking games during three meetings in the experimental class, while the kontrol class used conventional learning methods. The data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 31. The analysis results showed that the significance value (Asymp. Sig. 2-tailed) was 0.000 < 0.05, so H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the traditional plate-breaking game has a significant effect on improving the gross motor skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 068084 Jalan Denai.

Abstract

Background: Makeup has become an integral part of the daily routine of many individuals, especially women, as a form of self-expression and an effort to increase self-confidence. However, behind this goal, various mistakes in makeup practices still often occur and have an impact on skin health and makeup aesthetics. Objective: This study aims to identify common mistakes in makeup, analyze the causal factors, and formulate evidence-based solutions to overcome them. Method: This study uses a literature study method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected from various scientific sources including indexed journals, dermatology publications, and health articles published between 2018-2025. Data analysis was carried out using thematic synthesis techniques to group mistakes into specific categories. Results: Identification of common mistakes in makeup includes: (1) mistakes in skin preparation (skipping moisturizer, ignoring SPF protection); (2) mistakes in product selection (ignoring skin type, using expired products); (3) mistakes in application techniques (foundation color mismatch, poor blending techniques, excessive product use); (4) mistakes in tool hygiene (rarely cleaning brushes, sharing makeup tools); (5) behavioral errors (sleeping without removing makeup, being influenced by unverified social media trends). Data shows that 45.2% of makeup users have experienced skin irritation, and 56% share makeup with others. Conclusion: Makeup mistakes not only affect aesthetic results but also have the potential to damage long-term skin health. Comprehensive education on safe and skin-type-appropriate makeup practices is essential to minimize the risk of side effects. Abstract

This study aims to improve the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at SD Kristen Kaiwatu, Moa Island, Southwest Maluku Regency, through the implementation of an integrative approach in Indonesian language learning. This research employed classroom action research conducted in two cycles involving 21 students. The research instruments included a pre-test, post-test, and a questionnaire to examine students’ responses toward the learning process. The data were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results indicated that students’ initial reading comprehension ability was relatively low, as reflected in their low test scores and difficulties in understanding the reading texts. After the implementation of the integrative approach through activities such as reading texts and retelling the content of the story, students’ reading comprehension skills improved significantly. In Cycle I, most students were still categorized as very poor and poor. However, in Cycle II there was a substantial improvement, with 19 students achieving the good category and 2 students reaching the very good category. In addition, the questionnaire results showed that students had positive responses toward the implementation of the integrative approach in the learning process. Therefore, the integrative approach is considered effective in improving elementary school students’ reading comprehension skills.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the dynamics of youth participation in religious activities at Riyadul Jannah Mosque and to identify the factors influencing the sustainability of such activities. The research was motivated by the prolonged inactivity of the mosque youth organization, despite previous efforts to reactivate it. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews with mosque youth members, mosque administrators, and community leaders, as well as observations and documentation. The findings indicate that youth participation in religious activities tends to be fluctuating and inconsistent. At certain periods, activities such as Islamic study sessions, commemorations of Islamic holy days, and socio-religious programs were conducted, yet they lacked continuity. Supporting factors included religious motivation and peer encouragement, while inhibiting factors consisted of work and educational commitments, weak organizational coordination, and limited structural support from mosque authorities. These conditions contributed to the difficulty in sustaining youth religious activities. The study highlights the importance of strengthening organizational management and institutional support to maintain the existence of mosque youth as an integral part of mosque-based religious activities.

Abstract

The problem addressed in this study was the low critical thinking skills of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 4 Metro Utara in the subject of Pancasila Education due to teacher-centered learning practices. This study aimed to determine the effect of implementing the Jigsaw cooperative learning model assisted by Student Worksheets (LKPD) on students’ critical thinking skills and to examine the differences between the Jigsaw and Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning models. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi experimental method using a nonequivalent control group design. The population consisted of all fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 4 Metro Utara, totaling 56 students. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, consisting of 18 students from class V B as the experimental group and 19 students from class V A as the control group. The experimental group was taught using the Jigsaw model assisted by LKPD, while the control group used the TGT model. Data were collected through a critical thinking skills test and observation of the implementation of the learning models in both classes. The results of the regression analysis indicated that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model assisted by LKPD had a significant effect on students’ critical thinking skills. The t-test results also showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. Therefore, the Jigsaw model assisted by LKPD is more effective than the TGT model in Pancasila Education learning.

Abstract

Rendahnya minat baca siswa Indonesia tercermin dalam hasil Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS 2021), yang menempatkan Indonesia di peringkat ke-49 dari 57 negara, dan Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA 2022), yang menempatkan Indonesia di peringkat ke-60 dari 61 negara. Kondisi ini mendorong SDN Pandeanlamper 05 Semarang untuk mengembangkan Program Literasi Selasa sebagai inovasi dalam Gerakan Literasi Sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Program Literasi Selasa terhadap minat baca siswa dan mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan dilakukan pada bulan Januari tahun ajaran 2025/2026 dengan subjek siswa dan guru kelas III dan IV. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara terstruktur, dan kuesioner, diuji dengan teknik triangulasi, dan dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi program berjalan dengan baik dengan persentase rata-rata 73% (kategori baik), memberikan dampak positif pada minat baca siswa dengan rata-rata 56% (kategori cukup), di mana siswa kelas empat menunjukkan minat baca yang lebih tinggi (57%) dibandingkan siswa kelas tiga (54%). Faktor pendukung meliputi konsistensi implementasi, peran aktif guru, ketersediaan fasilitas literasi, dan dukungan dari kepala sekolah, sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi keterbatasan koleksi buku, heterogenitas kemampuan membaca, kurangnya dukungan keluarga, dan persaingan dengan media digital. Disarankan agar sekolah memperkuat fasilitas literasi dengan secara teratur menambah koleksi buku, guru meningkatkan kreativitas dalam kegiatan literasi, siswa membiasakan diri membaca secara teratur, dan peneliti lebih lanjut memperluas studi tentang implementasi Gerakan Literasi Sekolah di semua tingkatan kelas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of science learning outcomes concerning human organ systems among fifth-grade students in an elementary school in Pekanbaru through the implementation of the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) learning model. The research was prompted by suboptimal student performance resulting from teacher-centered instruction and a lack of active engagement in abstract science concepts. A quantitative approach was adopted using an experimental method with a Posttest-Only Design with Nonequivalent Groups. The research subjects consisted of an experimental class implementing the POE model and a control class utilizing conventional learning. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and independent sample t-tests. The results demonstrated a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two groups, with a significance value of 0.002 (p < 0.05). Consequently, it is concluded that the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) model has a positive effect on enhancing science learning outcomes regarding human organ systems in elementary education.

Abstract

The logistics procurement procedure at PT Igasar is a series of activities designed to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and supporting equipment in the correct quantities and in accordance with quality standards. This process includes the stages of needs planning, submission of purchase requisitions, supplier selection and evaluation, issuance of purchase orders, through to goods receipt and quality inspection. Each stage is supported by an integrated administrative system to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability. Additionally, the implementation of internal control principles aims to minimize the risks of delays, cost overruns, and potential procedural deviations. Through structured mechanisms, PT Igasar is able to optimize its supply chain, strengthen relationships with suppliers, and support the company’s operational continuity.

Abstract

This article discusses the use of projector media to increase learning interest and classroom participation of students in class VIII Aisyah at PPS Utsman Bin Affan Batam. The article was prepared based on field experience during the School Field Introduction Program (PLP) conducted from 5 January to 18 February 2026. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, teaching practice, documentation, and reflection on classroom activities. The data show that the school has three projectors used to support learning. In grade 8 learning activities, the use of visual media helped present material in a clearer and more systematic manner, attracted students' attention, and made question-answer and discussion sessions more lively. In class VIII Aisyah, students showed good enthusiasm during interactive learning, and about 85% of students were able to understand the material delivered. These findings indicate that projector media can function as an effective supporting medium to foster students' interest, focus, and activeness in learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACT ABSTRACT Education is a conscious human effort to increase knowledge that is useful for developing intelligence and human resource potential. In its implementation, learning media are needed to support the learning process in the classroom. According to students, classroom learning during science subjects has not been able to utilize learning media effectively, resulting in a lack of student interest in learning, resulting in low learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to develop the Articulate Storyline 3 learning media for plant propagation to improve learning outcomes for sixth-grade elementary school students. The research location was Giyono State Elementary School in Temanggung Regency. The Research and Development (R&D) method was used in the study, and the ADDIE model was used. The ADDIE model includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The methods used in data collection were observation, interviews, tests, and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used in this study were qualitative descriptive analysis, quantitative analysis, and inferential statistics. The subjects in the study were students, teachers, media experts, and material experts. The result of the media development is a website-based interactive application containing complete plant propagation material, equipped with propagation process material, illustrative videos, interactive quizzes, and direct feedback for students. The validation results show that this media received a very decent score from all validators: media experts gave a score of 94% reflecting the excellent quality of the media's display, navigation, and interactivity; material experts gave a score of 87% indicating the accuracy and suitability of the plant propagation material content with the Independent Curriculum; and class teachers gave a score of 88.75% indicating ease of use and suitability of the media to learning needs. The results of the trial on students showed a significant increase in learning outcomes, where the average pretest score for the small group was 52.47 and the large group was 55.71 which was originally below the Minimum Competency (KKM) increased drastically to 89.12 and 88.47 in the posttest after using the media. This improvement was confirmed through the N-Gain test, with values ​​of 0.782 (small group) and 0.736 (large group), both of which fall into the high category. The t-test yielded a 2-tailed value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a highly significant difference in learning outcomes before and after media use. Thus, the developed Articulate Storyline 3 learning media is feasible and effective for use in the science learning process to improve student learning outcomes.
