Abstract

The e-catalogue pricing system for medicines under Indonesia’s National Health Insurance (JKN) and the high dependence on imported raw materials create major external pressures on the financial performance of local pharmaceutical firms. This study analyses how e-catalogue price pressure and rupiah–US dollar fluctuations relate to cost structure, key financial ratios, and financial distress risk using the modified Altman Z-Score. A descriptive qualitative design was applied to two listed companies, PT Darya Varia Laboratoria Tbk (DVLA) and PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KLBF) for 2019–2023, using secondary data from audited consolidated financial statements, annual reports, and sustainability reports. Financial ratios and Z-Scores were calculated in Excel and interpreted together with thematic document analysis of adaptive strategies. Results show margin compression, particularly in JKN-related lines, and higher cost exposure when the rupiah depreciated. Nevertheless, both firms remained in the safe zone throughout the period (DVLA Z-Score 6.26-7.45; KLBF 9.82-11.68), indicating strong financial resilience. KLBF’s gross profit margin declined from 45.3% (2019) to 38.8% (2023), while DVLA maintained a relatively stable gross profit margin from 51% (2019) to 54% (2023) but faced rising operating costs. Adaptive strategies, such as OTC diversification, supply-chain integration, foreign rate exchange risk management, and local raw-material initiatives, helped mitigate policy and currency shocks. The study highlights the importance of cost-structure efficiency, foreign-exchange risk controls, and domestic raw-material capability to sustain competitiveness under national pricing regulation and global volatility.

Abstract

Minat dan hasil belajar peserta didik merupakan aspek penting yang perlu ditingkatkan pada kegiatan pembelajaran kimia, khususnya terkait materi sistem periodik unsur yang sering dianggap sulit. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi peningkatan minat dan hasil belajar setelah penggunaan game edukasi pada materi sistem periodik unsur. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam satu kelas yang ditentukan secara acak. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi minat belajar, hasil belajar, serta data pendukung berupa respon peserta didik dan pengamatan aktivitas. Data minat, respon, dan pengamatan aktivitas peserta didik dilakukan melalui angket, sedangkan pada hasil belajar dilakukan tes (pretest dan posttest). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar peserta didik meningkat sebesar 52,94% setelah menggunakan game edukasi Chem Epic Conquest pada materi sistem periodik unsur. Selain itu, hasil belajar menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar secara signifikan setelah penggunaan game edukasi. Studi ini menyarankan penerapan game edukasi Chem Epic Conquest secara lebih luas pada pembelajaran kimia, serta eksplorasi lebih lanjut terhadap dampaknya pada penguatan minat serta capaian belajar siswa pada materi yang berbeda.

Abstract

physics plays a significant role in the advencement of science and technology; however, physics learning in schools is often perceived as challenging, and students’ scientific literacy skills are still considered insufficient. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of interactive multimedia-based learning media in improving senior high scholl students’ scientific literacy in physics. The research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model. The research subjects consisted of 36 eleventh-grade students (Class XI-1) at a senior high scholl in Kebumen Regency. Data were collected using a scientific literacy test comprising five indicators: observing, measuring, predicting, concluding, and communicating. Data analysis was conducted through quantitative descriptive analysis using percentage scores and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that students’ initial scientific literacy levels varied, with percentages of 73.72%, 72.14%, 62.94%, 63.78%, and 75.08%. After the implementation of interactive multimedia-based learning media, post-test scores increased to 85.89%, 83.39%, 76.22%, 77.92%, and 89.53%. The N-Gain values ranged from 0.36 to 0.58, which fall into the moderate category. These findings indicate that interactive multimedia-based learning media are effective in enhancing students’ scientific literacy skills.

Abstract

Biology learning emphasizes analytical, inductive, and deductive thinking to address problems related to the surrounding environment. Effective biology education is influenced by various factors, including students, educators, learning environments, and the availability of laboratory facilities. Well-equipped and professionally managed laboratories play a crucial role in supporting hands-on science learning. However, disparities in laboratory equipment availability across schools potentially lead to unequal learning outcomes. This study aimed to describe the profile of the biology laboratory at SMA Negeri 1 Pemangkat. The research was conducted from November to December 2024 using a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach. The research sample consisted of the head of the biology laboratory. The findings show that all aspects of the laboratory room met the standards of Permendikbud No. 8 of 2018. However, several components related to the storage of laboratory tools and materials did not meet the required standards. These included unlocked material storage cabinets, insufficient equipment storage capacity, and unlabeled tools. Overall, the laboratory facilities and infrastructure scored between 69% and 100%, while laboratory management aspects ranged from 29% to 100%. These results highlight the need for improved storage management to ensure better laboratory functionality and support biology learning.

Abstract

The safety of shipping and the resilience of maritime infrastructure are affected by the accuracy of the early warning system against extreme weather. The use of Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) acts as an integrative framework that combines remote sensing data, spatial analysis, and the interpretation of geographic information for the increasing need for technology-based early detection in the face of increasingly complex marine climate dynamics, both for civilian and national defense interests. The purpose of this research is to analyze the development of global research over the past 25 years on this topic, as well as relate it to maritime infrastructure defense and resilience policies. The methodology used is bibliometric with a quantitative analysis approach to Scopus and Google Scholar publication data, as well as visualization using VOSviewer. The analysis includes the mapping of keyword trends, thematic clusters, institutional actors, and the evolution of research related to GEOINT, remote sensing, and maritime early warning systems. The results show significant improvements in the topic of satellite utilization (MODIS, Sentinel) and the integration of GEOINT big data and spatial analytics for early warning systems, but research on its application in the context of maritime defense policy is still limited. These findings provide strategic direction for the development of GEOINT as a data-driven policy support instrument that supports national shipping resilience and military preparedness in strategic maritime areas. The study also recommends a cross-sectoral research agenda that is more adaptive to the threat of extreme marine weather.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence is one of the crucial elements that contribute to students' academic achievement. However, based on initial observations at SMP IT Cordova Samarinda, it was identified that the emotional regulation ability of some eighth-grade students has not reached an optimal level, although their academic achievement in science subjects is considered satisfactory. This study aims to examine the impact of emotional intelligence on student learning achievement in Natural Sciences at SMP IT Cordova Samarinda. This study applies a quantitative approach with an ex-postfacto correlational design, where the sample was selected through a purposive sampling technique and the data analysis used was simple linear regression with a significance level of 0.05. The findings from the simple linear regression test stated that the significance value (Sig.) reached 0.20, which exceeds 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no influence of emotional intelligence on the learning achievement of eighth-grade students in Natural Sciences at SMP IT Cordova Samarinda, with an R Square value of 0.031, which concludes that emotional intelligence only contributes 3.1% to student learning achievement in that field.
