Abstract

Graph theory is a branch of algebra that is growing rapidly both in concept and application studies. This graph application can be used in chemistry, transportation, cryptographic problems, coding theory, design communication network, etc. There is currently a bridge between graphs and algebra, especially an algebraic structures, namely theory of graph algebra. One of researchs on graph algebra is a graph that formed by prime ring elements or called prime graph over ring R. The prime graph over commutative ring R (PG(R))) is a graph construction with set of vertices V(PG(R))=R and two vertices x and y are adjacent if satisfy xRy={0}, for x≠y. Girth is the shortest cycle length contains in PG(R) or can be written gr(PG(R)). Order in PG(R) denoted by |V(PG(R))| and size in PG(R) denoted by |E(PG(R))|. In this paper, we discussed prime graph over cartesian product over rings Z_m×Z_n and its complement. We focused only for m=p_1, n=p_2 and m=p_1, n=〖p_2〗^2, where p_1 and p_2 are prime numbers. Then, we obtained some properties related to order and size, degree, and girth. We also observe some examples. Moreover, we found that a correction in the statement of (Pawar & Joshi, 2019) about the complement graph over prime graph over a ring and gave a counter example for that.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to introduce the idea of how to construct transfinite numbers and study transfinite arithmetic. The research method used is a literature review, which involves collecting various sources such as scientific papers and books related to Cantorian set theory, infinity, ordinal or transfinite arithmetic, as well as the connection between infinity and theology. The study also involves constructing the objects of study, namely ordinal numbers such as finite ordinals and transfinite ordinals, and examining their arithmetic properties. The results of this research include the methods of constructing both finite and transfinite ordinal numbers using two generation principles. Both finite and transfinite ordinal numbers are defined as well-orderings that are also transitive sets. Arithmetic of finite ordinal numbers is well-known, but the arithmetic of transfinite ordinal numbers will be introduced in this paper, including addition, multiplication, and exponentiation.

Abstract

Nonparametric regression approaches are used when the shape of the regression curve between the response variable and the predictor variable is assumed to be unknown. Nonparametric excess regression has high flexibility. A frequently used nonparametric regression approach is a truncated spline that has excellent ability to handle data whose behavior is variable at certain sub-intervals. The aim of this study was to obtain the best model of multivariable nonparametric regression with linear and quadratic truncated spline approaches using Generalized Cross Validation (GCV) and Unbiased Risk (UBR) methods and to find out the factors influencing stunting prevalence in Indonesia in 2021. The data used are the prevalence of stunting as a response variable and the predictor variable used by the percentage of infants receiving Exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months, the percentage of households with proper sanitation, the percentage of toddlers receiving Early Childhood Cultivation (IMD), the percentage of the poor population, and the percentage of pregnant womenIt's a risk. Results show that the best linear and quadratic nonparametric spline truncated regression model in modeling the stunting prevalence is linear truncated spline using the GCV method with three knot points. This model has the minimum GCV value of 7.29 with MSE value of 1.82. Factors influencing the incidence of stunting in Indonesia in 2021 include the percentage variable of infants receiving Exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months, the percentage of households with proper sanitation, the percentage of poor people, and the percentage of pregnant women at risk of KEK.

Abstract

Based on the slope class, the shape of the area and the elevation of dry land in Nusa Tenggara, agricultural land in Noepesu Village is suitable for planting coffee plants with an agroforestry scheme. To overcome the problem of limited water, drip irrigation system technology can be applied. The use of drip irrigation as an agricultural technology in Noepesu village has been carried out by many farmer groups. Still, the installation process does not consider the pipe specifications (pipe length and pipe diameter) and the condition of agricultural land. This causes the service life of drip irrigation to be not long. If this continues, of course, it will increase system installation costs. To optimize service life, a hydraulics analysis method is needed for drip irrigation pipe network systems that take into account pipe specifications and agricultural land conditions. The hydraulics analysis of the drip irrigation network system determines the emitter’s water flow rate. The emitter flow rate forms a nonlinear equation known as the closed pipe equation. In the process of solving these equations, numerical methods can be used, specifically the Newton-Raphson method. This study focuses on applying the Newton-Raphson method to calculate the amount of water discharge from each emitter of the drip irrigation network system on the farmland of the Mutis Cemerlang Farmer Group in Noepesu Village. The drip irrigation system is designed with 250 nodes, 275 pipes, 26 loops, and 86 outlets divided into two sides, with the left side containing 84 outlets with one emitter and the right side containing 102 outlets with two emitters. The amount of water discharge for each emitter is 0,0008 ml/second≤Q≤2,6 ml/second for the left side and 0,001 ml/second≤Q≤1,1 ml/second for the right side, as determined by simulation calculations utilizing the Newton-Raphson method and Matlab software. The simulation results show that the amount of water discharge at each emitter is ideal in the first iteration because it has a discharge correction value (∆Q)≈0.

Abstract

Wildfires occur repeatedly every year and have a negative impact on natural ecosystems. Anticipation of wildfires is very necessary, therefore a prediction model is needed that can produce predictions with a good level of accuracy. One approach to develop probabilistic prediction models is Bayesian inference. The purpose of this research is to review the methods that can be used in developing probabilistic prediction models using the Bayesian approach. The methodology used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) which can be used to provide a comprehensive review of Bayesian inference research in developing probabilistic prediction models. The research strategy used was the Boolean Technique applied to database sources including Scopus, IEEE Xplore, and ArXiv. The articles used have novelty and ease of explanation of Bayesian methods, especially predictions in the field of climate so that articles are selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results show that probabilistic models can provide more accurate results than deterministic models. The Bayesian Model Averaging (BMA) method is a widely used method because it is easy to implement and develop so that the prediction results can be more accurate. The development of probabilistic prediction models with a Bayesian approach has great potential to grow as seen from the development of the number of research publications over the past 5 years. The research position of probabilistic prediction models with Bayesian approaches in the field of climate is dominated by the research community in China with the main problems related to hydrology.TRANSLATE with x EnglishArabicHebrewPolishBulgarianHindiPortugueseCatalanHmong DawRomanianChinese SimplifiedHungarianRussianChinese TraditionalIndonesianSlovakCzechItalianSlovenianDanishJapaneseSpanishDutchKlingonSwedishEnglishKoreanThaiEstonianLatvianTurkishFinnishLithuanianUkrainianFrenchMalayUrduGermanMalteseVietnameseGreekNorwegianWelshHaitian CreolePersian //  TRANSLATE with COPY THE URL BELOW Back EMBED THE SNIPPET BELOW IN YOUR SITE Enable collaborative features and customize widget: Bing Webmaster PortalBack//

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the learning process, including the learning of mathematics. This situation has caused students and teachers not always be able to interact directly, which can result in learning loss. Therefore, efforts are needed to develop learning media that allow students to learn independently and actively. This study aims to develop a Mathematics E-Module that is different from most of the modules available, where students can interact with the E-Module. The E-Module was developed using the modified Plomp development model. The results of the study show that the developed E-Module meets the level of validity with a category of very valid, as well as the practicality of the E-Module. Other findings during the testing process showed that this E-Module can increase students' active and independent engagement in understanding the concept of derivative relationships with increasing functions, decreasing functions, and maximum/minimum values. Therefore, E-Module is recommended because it is very suitable for use in learning both online and offline. E-Module with GeoGebra applet can improve vocational school students’ ability to discover concepts independently.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of learning opportunities and beliefs on the efficacy of teaching mathematics on knowledge of mathematics for teaching. Using a structured questionnaire along with paper and pencil tests adapted from the literature review, data were collected from 187 prospective primary school teachers at the Indonesian Teacher Education Institute. Data were analyzed using Smart PLS 3.0. The results of the structural equation model show that both opportunities to learn-Practicum (β = 0.395, p < 0.001) and opportunities to learn -Program (β = 0.324, p < 0.001) are positively related to mathematics. The second regression analysis is to examine the influence of teaching efficacy beliefs on mathematics. The results showed that beliefs about expectations of learning outcomes in mathematics (β = 0.322, p < 0.001) were positively related to mathematics, while personal mathematics teaching efficacy beliefs (β = 0.017, p > 0.1) were not related to mathematics. Overall, the confidence factor and opportunities to learn explain the total 54% variance in mathematics. The implications of these findings for the successful implementation of teacher education programs in Indonesia are further elaborated.
