Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the interference of English word morphology on WhatsApp status of 4th semester students of KIP STKIP Rokania. To determine the interference in this article using a qualitative descriptive method and analyzed based on the content of the status. The theory used is Chaer's theory (1995) which states that the use of elements of other languages in using a language is considered a mistake because it deviates from the rules or rules of the language used. Bilingual or multilingual people often mix one language with another when uploading statuses on WhatsApp so that interference often arises. In this article, we will discuss several examples of morphological English interference in WhatsApp status with the aim of knowing the causes of language errors. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. The conclusion of this study is that interference often occurs due to lack of mastery of one language or intentional writing errors in order to follow the trend.

Abstract

Learning and learning are compulsory courses taught to students with the aim of forming and changing the mindset of students. The method used in learning needs to be determined, this is the running of the learning process. In this study, the method used was the cooperative method. The success of the work is greatly influenced by the involvement of each member of the group. Cooperative learning in this study was carried out Plan, Do, See, namely lesson study. The research was conducted at the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program in the 3rd semester of the University of Muhammadiyah Mataram. The research subjects were 16 students of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program. This research was conducted from 6 to 30 October 2017. This type of research is quantitative research with an action approach through lesson study activities. The results of the research "improving learning ability in learning and learning courses through cooperative methods in students of the Pancasila and Civic Education Study Program" show that (1) the learning and learning process using cooperative methods whose implementation there is discussion and role playing can be done by providing learning tools, namely RPS, RPM, methods, learning media, learning resources,  assessment, then create chapter design, lesson design. (2) the improvement of student learning abilities is influenced by the availability of maximum learning tools, learning media that can hone student mindsets such as observing, identifying, analyzing, discovering new things, communicating, and concluding learning and learning concepts, and learning methods. (3) the average score of students' ability to explain concepts of learning and learning problems is 57.3%, open lesson 2 is 71.1%, and open lesson 3 is 85.7%.

Abstract

This study aimed to: (1) describe the form of novel ecranization of Matt and Mou into the Matt and Mou movie in terms of plot, setting, and characterizations; and (2) describe the similarities and differences between the novel and film of Matt and Mou in terms of plot, background, and characterization. The literature study method was used to collect data, and the documentary method was then descriptively analyzed The study showed three types of ecranization in novels and movies: reduction, addition, and varying changes. The reduction emphasizes characterization elements, the adition emphasizes plot elements, and the various changes emphasize background elements. When the novel is filmed some of the characterizations are disappeared. The director also made additional plots in the movie, and it is different from the plot in the novel. The various changes in the movie are three settings. In addition to the form of ecranization, similarities and differences also appear in novels and movies. There are 22 characters in the novel on the contrary, there are only eight characters in the movie. Overall the characterizations in the movie are almost the same as the charactenzations in the novel except for one additional character that is not in the novel. The plot used in the novel is a mixed plot, while in the movie, it uses a forward plot. and some of the settings in the novel are also used in the movie.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) find and describe the form of code switching in the verbal communication of fifth semester students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, University of Flores for the 2022/2023 academic year, (2) find and describe the function of code switching in Verbal communication of fifth semester students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, University of Flores, for the 2022/2023 academic year, found and described the meaning of code switching in the verbal communication of fifth semester students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, University of Flores, for the 2022/2023 academic year.The approach used in this study is qualitative with the technique used is non-statistical because in analyzing it does not use numbers. While the theory used is Sociolinguistics and Bilingualism theory especially about code switching. The results of data analysis show that in the student communication process there is code switching used by fifth semester students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program at the University of Flores for the 2022/2023 academic year divided into two, namely: (1) code switching from Indonesian to regional languages and ( 2) code switching from regional languages to Indonesian.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of education and training on the performance of village officials. This research was held in Pemepek Village, Pringgarata District, Central Lombok Regency. The sampling technique used in this study is Saturated Sampling. The sample in this study was employees of the Village Apparatus, which totaled 30 respondents. This research is a quantitative research and data analysis model using multiple linear regression. The results of this study show that partially in education and training research the calculated F value was obtained 9,061 while the F value of the table was 3.35, it can be known that the F value is calculated 9,061 > the F value of the table 3.35 with a significant level of 0.001 because the significant level < 0.05, then this regression model can be used for performance variables at the pekpek village office, in other words, it can be said that the variables of education and training together (simultaneously) have an effect on  significant to performance.

Abstract

This research took place in the Bebuak village, Kopang district, Central Lombok regency. The purpose of this study is to describe the lexicon of verbal violence in Sasak language nicknames in Bebuak village in everyday communication. The theoretical approach used is the anthropolinguistic approach. While, the methodological approach to research uses qualitative descriptive methods. For data collection using observation, record and interview. There are two results which can be drawn from this research. The first result is verbal abuse on nicknames in the Sasak language of the Bebuak people is calssified into two form, words and phrases. The second result is classification of the nickname function which consists of three function; the function of jokes/familiarity, the function of ridicule/insulting and the function as a differentiating identity. There are three sociocultural implications for Sasak society, namely the impact related to language ethics, which if the regulation is violated will get customary sanctions in the form of apologizing (mengaksama), fines (dedaosan) and not being spoken to for acertain time (kasepekang). Second, it is related to the norms inherent in the Bebuak community, namely the fading of the culture of manners in language and third, it relates to the psychis of the victim of verbal abse nicknames, where the victim will feel inferior, uncomfortable and embarrassed when the nickname is used in public places.

Abstract

In this study the aims to find out how the implementation of art and cultural learning activities was implemented by teachers in increasing students' creativity and knowledge starting from the planning, implementation and evaluation stages as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of local wisdom-based art materials in class VII art and culture subjects at MTsN 1 West Lombok. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Cultural arts learning planning is poured into teacher learning tools but still needs to be further developed with reference to local wisdom. In visual art material, the teacher maps learning concepts that focus on two-dimensional works, namely drawing flora, fauna and natural objects as well as drawing decorations with reference to traditional regional motifs. (2) The implementation of fine arts materials is directed so that students are able to appreciate and create fine arts, learning activities are not only focused in the classroom. (3) Evaluation of fine arts material is carried out by the teacher in writing and from the two-dimensional works made by students to find out how far students' understanding of the material has increased. (4) Supporting factors are influenced by high student enthusiasm, mastery and method of delivering material interesting by the teacher and the atmosphere of a beautiful and comfortable school environment. The inhibiting factors are that not all students have tools and materials to support practical activities, lack of references to traditional motifs, lack of guidance to teachers in designing and developing lesson plans that refer to  local wisdom.

Abstract

This type of research is descriptive qualitative using the case study method which aims to describe the form, principles, and level of language politeness among STITNU AL Mahsuni students. The results of this study show that among female students when conducting discussions, there are still those who use language that is not polite. But in the results of the study, observations and data analysis of the level of language politeness in the category are quite polite. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the form of language politeness when discussing in class has been included in the polite category even though some still use less polite language. This indicates that in principle students in speaking words either act as speakers or become speech speech that still violates the maxim of politeness

Abstract

The purpose of this final project is to visualize several forms of self-reflection in telling personal experiences that become lessons. Self-reflection is the thing that is most attached to the writer's life when approaching the end of the lecture period. The idea of art is to visualize human figures as the subject of paintings that depict different body shapes. The method of realizing ideas is through the preparatory stage or the observation stage of the problems of concept realization or the creation of works of exhibition or display of works. The author presents 15 (fifteen) works of art through figures, all of which are different body shapes. The entire work was made using acrylic paint on canvas of the same size and was made in the year 2022.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability to write expository texts through a problem-based learning approach at SMP Negeri 2 Gunungsari. This type of research is descriptive research by describing existing learning activities especially related to the problem-based learning process in students' ability to write exposition texts. In this descriptive analysis, it is described about analyzing and designing problem-based learning, implementing the learning process along with learning outcomes in the form of students' ability to write exposition texts. From the results of research and analysis of data on writing exposition texts, it was found that the aspect of writing content in writing exposition texts was still at a moderate level, which was quite evident from 13 students having scores between 17-21, aspects of student organization assessed with CK (good enough), vocabulary aspects with scores between 14-17 was obtained by 10 students with CK scores or good enough, aspects of students' use of language on fairly good abilities (CB) and mechanical aspects had a range of values from 2-5. As many as 15 students scored a very good perfect mechanical aspect (SBS) from the writing they had made. The assessment of the ability to write expository texts is based on five aspects assessment guidelines that have been prepared. Each consists of a range of values with the designation of very good perfect (SBS), pretty good (CB), moderate enough (SC), and very poor (SK). This mention certainly has several indicators that must be achieved.
