Abstract

Predicting the price of shallots in Ponorogo Regency is crucial due to significant price fluctuations that impact farmers, traders, and consumers. This study aims to implement the Simple Linear Regression method to forecast shallot prices through a web-based system, assisting stakeholders in decision-making. Price data was obtained from the Basic Commodity Availability and Price Development Information System (SISKAPERBABO) for the period June 2024–May 2025. The analysis resulted in the regression equation Y = 20,466 + 1,393X, where Y represents the predicted price and X is the time variable. Accuracy evaluation using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) yielded a value of 21.7%, indicating a reasonably accurate prediction. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scored 88.2%, demonstrating strong user approval. The website was developed using PHP, Laravel, and MySQL, featuring monthly price predictions and data visualization. This research is expected to serve as an effective price prediction tool for shallot farmers and traders in Ponorogo. Future improvements may include enhancing prediction models with machine learning algorithms and expanding to mobile platforms for broader accessibility.

Abstract

Public awareness of proper skincare, especially for oily skin in tropical climates, has been steadily increasing. Aloe vera is widely recommended due to its lightweight texture and soothing properties. However, product selection often remains subjective. This study develops a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) utilizing the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to assist consumers in choosing suitable aloe vera–based moisturizers for oily skin. The system was built using the Waterfall development model, covering requirement analysis, UML-based system design, implementation, and black box testing. Four evaluation criteria were applied: skin compatibility, price, additional ingredients, and texture. Among the ten assessed products, “Tératu Beauty – Aloe Vera Soothing Gel” achieved the highest preference score of 0.875, while “The Body Shop – Aloe Soothing Day Cream” ranked lowest with a score of 0.425. The results demonstrate that the SAW-based DSS can provide accurate and efficient product recommendations, offering potential contributions to the growth of natural ingredient–based skincare industries.

Abstract

This research aims to design and build a web-based college major recommendation system for high school students focused on SMA Negeri 8 Medan using a hybrid C4.5–Naïve Bayes approach. The C4.5 algorithm is used for feature selection from report card grades and interest test results, while Naïve Bayes classifies majors based on the selected features. This research uses a quantitative approach because the main focus of this approach is on the analysis of numerical data generated by the model. Specifically, the research will measure evaluation metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score to objectively assess how effective the system is in providing major recommendations to students at SMA Negeri 8 Medan. The results of this research are that a web-based system has been successfully designed and developed using a hybrid approach of the C4.5 and Naïve Bayes algorithms where C45 is used in the feature selection stage to determine the most influential attributes (grades and interests) in determining majors, and the Naïve Bayes algorithm is used as the main classification model to predict majors based on the selected features.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the urgency of integrating technology in education toenhance learning effectiveness, especially in Informatics subjects which require visualizationand interactivity. The availability of innovative and specific Informatics learning media at theJunior High School level remains a challenge. Therefore, this study aims to develop a valid andpractical desktop-based learning media for Informatics subject in class VIII B Putri of SMPIslam Al-Fattahiyyah.The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D), adapting the 4-Dmodel (Define, Design, Develop), focusing on needs definition, media design, and productdevelopment stages. Product validation was conducted by material experts and media experts,and data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively using a feasibility percentage formula. Thevalidation results indicate that the developed desktop-based learning media possesses a highlevel of validity from both material and media aspects. This media is declared highly feasiblefor use in the learning process, thus having the potential to increase students' motivation andunderstanding of Informatics material

Abstract

Kebahagiaan semakin diakui sebagai indikator penting kesejahteraan masyarakat global, di mana faktor tata kelola pemerintahan dan kualitas institusi publik memainkan peran krusial. Salah satu faktor institusional yang banyak dikaitkan dengan kesejahteraan subjektif adalah persepsi korupsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh persepsi korupsi terhadap tingkat kebahagiaan serta menguji perannya sebagai variabel moderator dalam hubungan antara faktor sosio-ekonomi dan kebahagiaan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan data panel World Happiness Report 2024 yang mencakup 165 negara dengan periode pengamatan tahun 2005–2023. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi panel dengan pendekatan fixed effects dan random effects, dengan pemilihan model terbaik dilakukan melalui uji Hausman dan uji Breusch-Pagan Lagrange Multiplier. Hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa persepsi korupsi berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap tingkat kebahagiaan global. Selain itu, temuan empiris mengungkapkan bahwa persepsi korupsi berperan sebagai variabel moderator yang signifikan pada hubungan antara kebebasan dalam memilih keputusan hidup dan tingkat kebahagiaan, sementara efek moderasi terhadap faktor sosio-ekonomi lainnya tidak menunjukkan signifikansi statistik yang konsisten. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa dampak kebebasan individu terhadap kebahagiaan sangat dipengaruhi oleh kualitas tata kelola dan tingkat kepercayaan publik terhadap institusi.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease with a globally increasing prevalence, driven by modern lifestyle changes. Early detection of diabetes risk is crucial in preventing and mitigating long-term complications. This study aims to cluster individuals based on their diabetes risk levels using the K-Means Clustering algorithm by considering lifestyle and health condition attributes. The dataset used was obtained from the Kaggle platform, consisting of 5,452 entries and 22 attributes. The pre-processing stage involved data cleaning, normalization, and manual feature selection. The optimal number of clusters was determined using the Elbow Method, which indicated the best result at k = 3. Cluster quality evaluation was performed using the Davies-Bouldin Index (DBI), which yielded a score of 0.7678, indicating a reasonably good level of cluster compactness and separation. The final output formed three risk clusters: low, medium, and high, with distributions of 424, 819, and 615 records, respectively. This segmentation is expected to serve as a basis for healthcare institutions in designing more targeted and data-driven preventive interventions.

Abstract

This study compares four clustering techniques AHC-Ward, K-Means, GMM, and BIRCH to group sub-districts in North Aceh Regency based on plantation production data. The goal is to find the most effective clustering method for identifying diverse production patterns. Each algorithm's performance was evaluated using three internal metrics: Silhouette, Davies-Bouldin Index (DBI), and Dunn Index. The analysis showed that AHC-Ward had the most consistent and best performance. This method achieved the highest Silhouette score (0.515), the lowest DBI (0.309), and the highest Dunn Index (0.816). In contrast, K-Means performed the worst, while GMM and BIRCH were in between. Based on the optimal AHC-Ward clustering results, three clusters were found that reflect geographical specialization: a cluster with diverse production, a cluster dominated by oil palm, and a cluster focused on Arabica coffee and tobacco. These findings provide crucial insights for local governments to formulate agricultural policies that are more focused and relevant to the specific characteristics of each cluster.

Abstract

Rabies, which is usually transmitted through dog bites, is one of the common diseases in Indonesia. Based on data from Indonesia Ministry of Health, there were 31,113 cases of rabies animal bites and 11 deaths caused by rabies in 2023. Although efforts to eradicate rabies have been made in Indonesia, it has not been carried out completely due to the lack of public awareness about rabies. Therefore, there needs to be a means that can be used to increase public awareness about rabies. In this study, the author designed and created a game that aims to educate the public about rabies and how to prevent it. The rabies educational game was created using the Game Development Life Cycle method and was created using Unity software. The game produced in this study is a rabies education game in the form of a story-based choice game where the player's choice will impact the player's success in preventing or failing to handle rabies. From the test results, it can be concluded that the rabies education game is able to entertain players and educate players about rabies and how to prevent it.

Abstract

Digestive disorders are common health problems in society. However, many individuals choose to ignore the symptoms they experience for various reasons, such as fear of a serious diagnosis, concern that stress may worsen the condition, or the hope that the symptoms will resolve on their own. On the other hand, limited access to medical services also poses a challenge in early treatment. Meanwhile, the similarity of symptoms across different digestive diseases also makes self-diagnosis challenging. This study developed a web-based expert system to assist in identifying diseases based on symptoms experienced. The system was developed using the Waterfall model with the Python programming language and the Certainty Factor method in the diagnostic process. Symptom, disease, and solution data were obtained from the Halodoc, Alodokter, Klikdokter, and HelloSehat websites, then validated through interviews with experts. Black-box testing results showed that all features functioned as expected, while expert validation demonstrated good accuracy and system reliability. The system is capable of providing diagnosis results based on symptom input quickly, accurately, and easily, thereby assisting users in conducting initial self-diagnosis of digestive diseases.

Abstract

Technological developments in the health sector are an effort to accelerate equity and reduce health service disparities. The implementation of SIMRS is very important to integrate all services offered by hospitals, one of which is electronic medical records (RME). This study aims to analyze the process of storing Electronic Medical Records (RME) at the Jakarta Islamic Hospital (RSIJ) Sukapura based on the principles of data and information security in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health Number 24 of 2022 concerning Medical Records. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and literature studies. The results of the study show that RSIJ Sukapura does not have a special policy that specifically regulates the storage of electronic medical records by guaranteeing the principles of data and information security which include the principle of confidentiality, the principle of integrity, and the principle of availability. In addition, the storage capacity that is assessed has not met the storage standard for at least 25 years and does not have a backup system outside the hospital. This study suggests updates, adjustments and policy making to ensure optimal and regulatory RME storage.
