Abstract

Information technology is currently experiencing very rapid development in the world of education. Therefore, vocational schools in Riau also utilize information technology to carry out teaching and learning activities through the use of e-learning. The objectives of this research are (1) To evaluate and analyze the impact of implementing E-Learning through the Edmodo Platform (2) To identify factors that influence the effectiveness of E-Learning in improving students' understanding and learning achievement in Vocational High Schools. This type of research is qualitative with library research methods. This means that this research uses library materials as the main data source. Data collection was carried out by searching and reviewing various literature related to the study theme. The results of this research are Trends in the Use of E-Learning at Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Riau providing evidence and easy benefits for information technology users. There are advantages and disadvantages in implementing e-learning as a learning medium. The advantages of implementing e-learning include more economical costs, easy access, efficiency, interactive, collaborative and flexible. And the shortcomings of implementing e-learning such as the teaching and learning process tends to lead to training rather than education, the internet connection must be in good condition and the changing role of a teacher from previously mastering conventional learning techniques.

Abstract

ITB STIKOM Bali, as an institution of information technology education, must ensure that the implemented faculty information system is not only efficient in data management but also meets security and data integrity standards. The COBIT 5 framework, a global standard for IT governance, is used to evaluate and improve IT governance processes in the Faculty Information System at ITB STIKOM Bali. COBIT 5 provides a structured framework for managing risks, ensuring compliance, and enhancing IT performance. Understanding the importance of IT governance in the implementation of faculty information systems, institutions can ensure that information technology is optimally used to support academic and administrative activities safely, efficiently, and effectively. This research aims to identify potential improvements in the governance of the Faculty Information System. Through this research, it is hoped to provide a clear understanding of the extent to which IT governance at ITB STIKOM Bali aligns with the best practices set by COBIT 5. The results of this research are expected to serve as a basis for institutions to enhance the operational sustainability of the Faculty Information System, reduce security risks, and increase user satisfaction through the implementation of good and efficient IT governance. Therefore, good IT governance is highly necessary in managing the implementation of faculty information systems.

Abstract

Sentiment analysis is the process of identifying attitudes, opinions, or feelings towards data or objects. The results of sentiment analysis can be categorized into two types, namely positive and negative sentiment. This research utilizes the Google Play Store which is used by the public as an object for sentiment analysis. Data was collected. Data collection was carried out using the scraping technique, then processed in RapidMine. The process for analyzing this sentiment uses the Support Vector Machine algorithm using 300 data. Next, testing was carried out using the Confusion Matrix to evaluate the performance of the classification results. From testing, accuracy was obtained at 88.74%, precision at 96.54%, recall at 83.23%, and AUC at 98.7%. Of the total 300 review data, 144 positive review data were predicted correctly, 28 negative review data were included in the positive prediction, 6 positive data were included in the negative prediction, and 122 negative data were in accordance with the negative prediction

Abstract

Every new academic year Madrasah Ibtida'iyah Nahdlatul Ulama Sumokali Candi Sidoarjo collects data on prospective PIP scholarship recipients, this is done by looking at the files that have been collected by students from the school. In selecting prospective PIP scholarship recipients at Madrasah Ibtida'iyah Nahdlatul Ulama Sumokali Candi Sidoarjo who will be submitted, they still experience difficulties in making or determining decisions due to the large number of students who register and because the selection process still uses a manual system, it takes a very long time and is less effective for the parties. administration, with these problems in mind, the author conducted research on how to apply data mining using the Decision Tree method and how to determine the accuracy of the results using the C4.5 algorithm to determine whether students who are potential PIP scholarship recipients are eligible or not. The amount of PIP scholarship classification data collected was 240 data from last year's data, so we implemented this data into the website system to form an application that can predict the eligibility of PIP scholarship recipients. Based on testing the level of accuracy with system calculations, the accuracy results were 83.33%.

Abstract

Abstract Advances and developments in technology are increasingly rapid, both hardware and software, computer technology has been widely used by school agencies, especially computer networks that are often used by schools in every laboratory, especially in the IT department, are LAN networks (Local Area Networks) and WLAN networks. (Wireless Local Area Network), including the TKJ Laboratory of SMKN 1 Cibinong which still uses a local network in each laboratory, therefore the author makes a final project on designing a network Computer system using a cable (Local Area Networks) and adding a wireless network (Wireless Local Area Network) to make it easier to access the internet without having to use a Lan cable. In using the internet network, of course there must be network security, so the authors make wireless network security with hotspot login and create user profiles for students and teachers who teach at the TKJ Laboratory and limit access to websites that are not related to the material in the TKJ department. Abstract

In the context of Arabic language learning, the development of Android-based learning applications becomes highly relevant, especially for Nahwu and Shorof materials that require in-depth understanding. This literature review aims to identify frequently used development methods for Android-based learning applications and to examine whether testing is conducted and the user segment of the application is specified. This study employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to evaluate 15 relevant journals from 2019 to 2024. The findings reveal that the most commonly employed method for developing Android-based learning applications is analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation (ADDIE). Most developers conduct field testing on their products. The segment often targeted by developers is junior high school students.

Abstract

The network infrastructure of Serelo Lahat University, known for its prioritization of science and technology, is a crucial element in supporting various educational and administrative activities in the academic environment. However, the challenge of maintaining and managing this infrastructure demands a proactive approach. This research proposes a method that combines advanced data analysis and artificial intelligence to develop a proactive maintenance strategy. Through comprehensive data collection and analysis, a prognostic model is built to predict potential issues in the network. Integration of proactive maintenance strategies into the network management system enables rapid response to predicted issues. Evaluation and validation of the model demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach in improving the efficiency and reliability of the campus network infrastructure. Deployment and integration of this model in operational environments aim to enhance accurate maintenance decision-making. Recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of proactive maintenance strategies are also proposed. Further research is hoped to evaluate the performance and reliability of the campus network infrastructure.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology generates information about job vacancies every day, creating a dynamic ecosystem that has changed the employment landscape with the emergence of new positions related to new technologies. Therefore, understanding job position trends is crucial for applicants to anticipate market needs and prepare accordingly. Position trend classification is the process of identifying and analyzing job titles into categories that are currently popular. This research aims to create a classification model using the Naive Bayes method in grouping job vacancy titles by category. Naive Bayes is a probabilistic-based prediction technique based on Bayes' Theorem, but researchers use TF-IDF text representation parameters to calculate the weight of words in the job title dataset. Data was taken from two job search platforms, jobs.linkedin.com and jobstreet.com, which resulted in seven categories from 7,254 datasets. Classification results using the naive bayes method provide good results with an accuracy rate of 82.77%. Then the test results obtained with a ratio of 8: 2 produce an average F1-Score value of 82.78%.

Abstract

Penerapan layanan teknologi informasi pada pendidikan tinggi sudah banyak diimplementasikan, salah satunya pada Direktorat Sistem Informasi Universitas XYZ. Penerapan layanan TI tersebut tentu tidak luput dari suatu insiden yang harus diatasi dengan suatu manajemen bernama incident management. Untuk mengetahui penanganan insiden (incident management) tersebut layak dilakukan, maka perlu dilakukan evaluasi nilai kematangan (maturity level) incident management pada layanan TI tersebut menggunakan sebuah framework bernama ITIL dengan versi terbaru yaitu V4. Selain mengukur nilai kematangan, penelitian ini juga melakukan evaluasi kesenjangan (gap analysis) penanganan insiden saat ini dengan penanganan insiden yang sesuai ITIL V4. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai kematangan (maturity level) incident management layanan TI Universitas XYZ berada pada level 4 (managed and measurable), yang berarti rancangan tata kelola TI yang baik terutama dalam hal penanganan insiden sudah diimplementasikan seluruhnya disemua tingkatan dan tidak ada kesenjangan antara penanganan insiden saat ini dengan penanganan insiden sesuai ITIL V4. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penanganan insiden (incident management) pada layanan TI Universitas XYZ tersebut sudah cukup baik

Abstract

Data mining serves as a pivotal instrument for enhancing business performance through the utilization of information gleaned from information systems. This research employs association algorithms, notably the Apriori algorithm, to examine concurrent purchasing patterns at OnlyThrift.id, a thrift clothing store located in Salatiga. The investigation entails an analysis of sales transactions spanning one year, with the Apriori algorithm utilized to unearth association rules among items. Findings reveal the Apriori algorithm's capability to furnish solutions with commendable accuracy in discerning combinations among itemsets and aiding in the formulation of more optimal inventory arrangements. Disparities in processing time and the quantity of rules generated between the Apriori and FP-Growth algorithms are observed, with Apriori demonstrating swifter processing time albeit yielding a reduced number of rules. The research underscores the significance of implementing association algorithms, particularly Apriori, to optimize sales patterns and inventory management practices. It is envisaged that this study will provide value to researchers by expanding insights into association algorithm analysis and offering tangible solutions for enhancing business performance, particularly within the sales sector.
