This study aims at identifying how women respond to uncertain situations after a disaster. Women and children are frequently in a vulnerable position due to their domestic roles. The research took place in Central Sulawesi, where the massive earthquake, tsunami, and liquefaction engulfed thousands of lives and dwellings. Despite their limitation, women have become a social catalyst in enhancing optimism among the survivors. The socio-cultural background of Central Sulawesi women is an essential factor in recovering socio-economic conditions after the disaster in Central Sulawesi. Their toughness and high social care have also facilitated extensive social and economic activities, along with women activists in civil society organizations. Several non-governmental organizations under government coordination have provided rehabilitation assistance programs. The research employed qualitative approaches encompassing in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and field observations. The research indicates that women's greater participation in disaster recovery programs could be essential. Women also brought up people's optimism to bounce back faster from suffering a disaster.

The shift in shopping methods from physical (offline) stores to virtual (online) stores has crystallized even more. Gradually the shift allows consumers to feel easy and comfortable in respect to buying products by online methods. This earliness paradigm shift becomes interesting if it becomes a topic of the research regarding the possibility of its sustainability in the triple bottom line. The clarity of the consumer's perspective on brand sustainability in terms of the main three pillars is being tested to clarify the roots of the paradigm by becoming a hypothesis in this research. The hypothesis was tested using Structural Equation Modeling on the answers of 278 respondents to identify the significant path. The findings are quite surprising so that entrepreneurs require to put forward the sustainability side of their brand. Future research should be aimed at adding more detailed factors related to the need for the process of achieving sustainability.

Consumers who buy their products through e-commerce are beginning to pay attention to a company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) status. Due to technological advancements, information became more transparent. Based on this phenomenon, research is required to determine the extent to which word-of-mouth consumers collaborate to increase value in order to achieve sustainability. In this study, the achievements are examined from the perspective of co-creation on the word of mouth aspect, with dimensions of three main factors, namely, social, economic, and environmental. The hypothesis of this study was tested using structural equation modeling (SEM), which includes an assessment of the segments of the related pathways. A total of 297 Indonesians who have completed at least 20 transactions in e-commerce, expressed concern about three important aspects of sustainability: people, profit, and the planet. This finding demonstrates the importance of co-creation of word-of-mouth value in achieving sustainability. Further research into the moderating effects of more detailed aspects of the supporting ecosystem could be conducted in the future.

The attitudes and behaviors of employees who provide frontline service and address the extent to which relationships vary among male and female employees. The overall model predicts effects of role stress and work or no work conflict on customer-contact employees’ job performance, job, and life satisfaction, and quitting intent. Results of structural equations modeling suggest an important role for work/no work conflict overall as well as two areas of interesting variation across gender. Specifically, multisampling structural equations analyses suggest that role stress affects female service provider’s job performance more negatively than it does males’, and that job satisfaction is related more highly to quitting intent among males. Overall, results suggest interesting similarities and differences across gender.

The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected the Indonesian economy, especially the welfare of Indonesian workers. During this pandemic, there are still violations of the law on immigrant or foreign workers. This study aims to discuss how the conditions that occur during the arrival of Chinese work migrants and how the rules or policies regulate this. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with data collection using literature studies. Based on research results from literature studies, the government claimed to have brought workers from China into Indonesia. This action is of course very contrary to what is happening and the government's efforts so far to suppress the number of COVID-19. Even though the unemployment rate is increasing due to layoffs such as the number of 1,722,958 people, the government still allows foreign workers from China to enter and seems to prevent local Indonesian workers from working. In fact, in Government Regulation Number 34 of 2021 as the central legal basis, permits for extension of workers and strict selection of workers must still be carried out consistently. In conclusion, the immigration and labor sector in Indonesia still shows clear shortcomings.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the economy. Economic actors such as companies also experienced a decline in the economy. The losses experienced by the company also affect the workforce working in the company, including in this case the technicians. The purpose of this study was to identify the experiences of technician workers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in Surabaya. The approach used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach with interviews and literature studies. The data were analyzed using phenomenological theory by Hans Georg Gadamer. The results showed that the company suffered significant losses due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so it had to decide to reduce the technician workforce. The impact received by the technician workforce includes being transferred to another branch of the company, as well as being laid off. Some of the disturbances experienced by workers such as having to adapt to a new environment, learning to understand tasks from scratch and economic difficulties. In Gadamer's view of phenomenology, the expression of technicians is a form of explanation and expression of the experience of participation and openness. The workers do not necessarily despair over the existing disturbances, because of the efforts made ranging from adaptation, business, and learning, to opening their businesses over time the workers begin to adapt to current conditions. The workers hope that the Covid-19 pandemic will end soon and the economy can return to normal as before.
