Research on artificial intelligence has developed rapidly since the last fifteen years. Social studies and humanities scholars including linguists has put much attention on the relation between human-robot communications from wider and multidiscipline perspectives. Nonetheless, there is only a dearth of research investigating turn, sequence, and role-switching in humanoid interaction. Focusing on Sophia, the humanoid robot, the present study aims to examine three elements of dialogic- communication related to conversation. The present study applies a descriptive qualitative approach to investigate the research subject. Data consists of forms of utterances taken from two Sophia’s video that will be categorized into a sequence of organization, turn-taking, and role-switching functions. The results of present study show that Sophia is able to perform human-like interactional features in terms of providing adequate adjacency pairs, turn-taking, and a sequence of organizations. The present study shows that Sophia is not able to interrupt a conversation because it needs a brief moment of silence before replying.

As a platform, TikTok is more open to people positing queer content. For example, seeing two men embracing each other, doing make-up on a trans person, or else. Although there are questions about censorship of LGBTQ content, the videos in that space are supportive and sometimes surprisingly confessional. The present study aims to describe the effects of gay content on TikTok social media on students’ acceptance about the presence of gays in the campus environment. The research method used is descriptive quantitative to explain a causal relationship of two variables by collecting data that has been distributed from 100 respondents who were randomly selected using a multistage random sampling. The results of present research show that despite feeling anxious about the existence of gay contents in TikTok social media, the participants accept the existence of gays due to several factors such as the existing culture in those places and peer groups. In addition, there is a relationship between the influence of social media content and the level of self-acceptance with the direction of the relationship being unidirectional because the correlation is positive. Furthermore, the level of influence of social media content correlates with the level of acceptance of gay identity among students.

The present study aims to investigate young people's attitudes about foreign language learning in Northern Ireland, depending on diverse residential areas and household economic backgrounds. A cross-sectional design was used in this study to conduct descriptive research. The present study uses secondary data from the Access Research Knowledge (ARK) in Northern Ireland's Young Life and Time (YLT) survey, which has been performed yearly since 2003. The survey consists of 103 items that may be completed in two ways: online (15.5 percent) or on paper (84.5 percent). The emphasis of this study was on three variables: young people's home areas (urban and rural); household economic backgrounds; and their educational backgrounds (not very well-off, average, and very well-off); and the attitude to foreign language learning. The outcomes of this study revealed that disparities between urban and rural areas had a major impact on young people's views about foreign language programs. Compared to household prosperity, which did not give strong evidence of disparities in this study, the impact of this problem was considerably more prominent.

This research focuses on reading market trends for curriculum development conducted through library research. The development of automation technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), robots, and algorithms, has made the workforce undergo massive changes concerning workers and jobs. It is estimated that by 2030, 23 million jobs will be automated, 27 to 46 million new jobs will be created, and 10 million of these will be new types of work. The Ministry of Education and Culture of Indoensia has responded to the changes with the launch of the Kurikulum Kampus Merdeka (Freedom to learn curriculum), which aims to equip the graduates with industry-needed employability skills. In order to achieve this goal, higher educations need to know the job prospects and skills relevant to the workplace, so that the mismatch between what graduates learn in college and the skills demanded by the employers can be minimized.

Jatinangor, West Java has many transmigrators especially from other parts of Java Island such as Central and East Java. Although living in the same island, Javanese people are different in terms of language and dialect from the native people of Jatinangor, Sundanese. The latter tends to be obstacles when Javanese transmigrators want to make a contact with Sundanese people. In order to make an effective communication, both parties need to perform an accommodation strategy so that they can reach their goals in communication. The present study aims to analyze the accommodation strategies performed by Javanese transmigrators and Sundanese natives in Jatinangor. The present study uses a descriptive qualitative approach by interviewing three respondents. The results of present study suggest a convergence strategy to accommodate the communication between Javanese and Sundanese people in Jatinangor. In this regard, both parties change their dialect so that they can be understood better.
