This article examines the dynamics of intercultural marriage in the Bani Alawiyyin community in Palu City, which involves gender stereotypes, cultural identity, and social norms. This study aims to describe in detail the influence of gender stereotypes on perceptions and expectations in marriage between Syarifah women and non-Sayyid men in Palu City. The method used is qualitative research with a case study approach aimed at examining the natural conditions of the research object. The snowball sampling technique was applied to determine the research object, resulting in 8 informants of two Ulama and three married couples. The findings suggest that Syarifah and non-Sayyid couples are under pressure to maintain their family identity. Isolation from the family, especially the Syarifah from the family of origin, creates social pressure. At the same time, the Arab Hadramaut cultural identity is still maintained in the family even though the couple practices mixed marriages. Differences in views regarding marriage between Syarifah women and non-Sayyid men give rise to tension and conflict in interpersonal and social relations among Arab Hadramaut in Palu City. However, cultural assimilation and social changes influence perceptions and attitudes toward intercultural marriage.

This article aims to explore Rahmah El Yunusiyyah's resistance against discrimination faced by Minangkabau women in accessing education. The study in this article is conducted through historical methodology with a biographical and literature approach. The primary data source in this study is the manuscript Boekoe peringatan 15 tahoen Dinijjah School Poeteri Padang Pandjang. The data obtained was analysed using the historical analysis model. According to the analysis of the data obtained, it was found that Rahmah El Yunusiyyah's resistance and struggle against discrimination faced by Minangkabau women was motivated by the socio-cultural reality of Minangkabau society at that time. Minangkabau customs and traditions at that time considered women's lives to be under the power of men so that they did not need education. This study also found that Rahmah El Yunusiyyah's Islamic education thoughts were not only campaigned in the public sphere, but also realised by establishing special educational institutions for women based on Islamic principles. These ideas are women as Madrasatul Ula, Tertib-Sopan, and the integration of traditional Minangkabau values with "de harmonische ontwikkeling". The findings have significance as an academic resource and benchmarking for Indonesian women's struggle against discrimination through strong thought and impactful activism.

This article examines the visualization of violence experienced by the Palestinian people against Israeli occupation in the Graphic Novel by Joe Sacco. This study is literature research using David Wasterfors' social theory of "Violence as a story". The primary data sources in this study are the graphic novels Palestine (2002) and Footnotes in Gaza (2010). This study uses a historical approach with the method of reading comic studies (science) to describe visually (images) and narratively based on the experiences of documentary studies (memorials) of the Palestinian people's struggle for independence. Through the "Violence as a Story" approach, this study found Joe Sacco's skill in telling the story of violence experienced by the Palestinian people against Israeli occupation from the beginning of the war in 1948 to the events that occurred in the graphic novel by combining images (visuals) and appropriate narratives as panels in the graphic novel. Readers are made to feel as if they are entering and feeling what the Palestinians feel. Keywords :

This article aims to explore Indonesian brides’ motivations (Gelin) to learn Turkish. This article is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach. Data collection was conducted in January-April 2024 in Sakarya city with in-depth interviews and participant observation. There are seven informants in this study with different backgrounds. The data obtained were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman qualitative analysis model: data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The study found that the Indonesian Gelin Muslims in Sakarya perceive Turkish as challenging to acquire, especially for Indonesians. However, there are two primary motivations for Muslim Gelin in Sakarya to learn Turkish consistently. First, to teach Islam to their children. The motivation is based on the fact that religious lessons are limited in most Turkish schools. Therefore, Gelin considers it necessary to provide additional religious lessons to her children at home, where the communication process uses Turkish. Second, nationalism motivation, which is to be able to interact socially while expressing and introducing Indonesia and its culture to the Turkish community. The findings show that religion not only mobilizes its adherents in ritual practices but can also be a vital motivating factor in foreign language acquisition.

Regulation of the Minister of Religious Affairs Number 52 of 2014 is the current regulation in Indonesia as a reference for zakat calculation procedures, one of which is the agricultural zakat nisab of 653 kilograms of grain. This article aims to examine the agricultural zakat nisab unit. This study uses a normative method with a qualitative juridical approach through a literature study that aims to analyze the suitability between theory and practice and evaluate the policies' relevance. The results of the study show that, first, rice units are more appropriate for use as agricultural zakat nisab units. Second, determining the nisab of grain is potentially burdensome for sharecroppers or farm laborers who, in some cases, are eligible to be zakat recipients. With the changes through the Regulation of the Minister of Religious Affairs Number 69 of 2014 and Number 31 of 2019, the results of this study are increasingly relevant as a reference for academic papers for policymakers, especially in compiling regulations related to agricultural zakat. This article provides an academic contribution to the development of zakat studies and becomes practical input to increase the effectiveness of zakat management in Indonesia.

This article aims to analyze the pattern of interpretation of the Qur'an and the ideology behind the interpretation on rumaysho.com. This article is library research with primary data sources from rumaysho.com posts on shirk, takfiri, and leadership. Secondary data sources come from tafsir books and articles relevant to the study's focus. The data obtained were analyzed using three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusions. Analysis of the data obtained shows that the pattern of interpretation of shirk, takfiri, and leadership in rumaysho.com uses the bil ma'tsur form with thematic methods and adabi al'ijtima'i style. Overall, Tuasikal's writings on rumaysho.com reflect an attempt to promote an understanding of Islam based on strict textual interpretation. The discourse used by Tuasikal is based on the puritanical Salafi ideology with its aim of purifying Islamic teachings and directing Muslims' understanding of practices that it considers authoritative. The dissemination of Salafi in rumaysho.com is also done by presenting and selecting references from Salafi ulama. The findings can contribute to developing digital interpretation by highlighting the dynamics of religious authority and perspectives on the use of digital media in conveying Islamic discourse.

The article aims to analyze the internalization of religious moderation values in Pesantren in Central Kalimantan. This article is a qualitative study with a case study approach. The study focuses on three Pesantrens: Pesantren Sabilal Muhtadin in East Kotawaringin, Pesantren Hidayatul Insan in Palangka Raya City, and Pesantren Nahdatus Salam in Kapuas. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data collection was conducted from May to October 2024. The data obtained were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman analysis model: data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The data obtained shows that the internalization of religious moderation is rooted in the Pesantren tradition in Central Kalimantan and has been practiced before becoming a strategic program of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2019. In this context, the experience of inter-ethnic conflict in 2001 was a background factor in consistently internalizing religious moderation. In addition, internalization is also carried out as a preventive effort from being exposed to extremist movements and intolerant ideology. Internalization efforts are carried out using various strategies that adapt to the socio-cultural setting of each pesantren.
