How the decline and collapse of the Fathimiyah dynasty.Research Methodology: The research process is done by taking literature study from literarure, books. To discuss the results of research done by linking descriptions of literature, and books. The results show that: The founder of the Fathimiyah Dynasty was Sa'id ibn Husayn. At the end of the 9th century AD, Abu Abdullah al-Husayn al-Shi'i, one of the main propagandists of the Shiite leader of Isma'iliah, was from Yemen son of the Berber tribe in North Africa, as the main envoy of Imam Mahdi and managed to influence the Berber community. Ziyadatullah al-Aghlabi 903-909 M (Aghlabiah dynasty) is in power in North Africa centered in Sijilmasa. Having succeeded in establishing his influence in North Africa, Abu Abdullah Al-Husain wrote a letter to the Ismaili Imam, Sa'id bin Husain As-Salamiyah to leave immediately for Utar Africa. In 909 AD Sa'id proclaimed himself a priest with the title Ubaidullah Al-Mahdi. In history, the glory of Fathimiyah dynasty includes the system of government, philosophy, social conditions, scholarship and literature. The decline and disintegration of the Fathimiyah Dynasty, the caliph Fathimiyah initially controlled all activities, but among the caliphs there were those who handed the supervisory duties to the amir, because the age of the caliph was underage and did not even understand the political world. Abstract

The memes of Qur'anic verse Yusuf 28 on social media present women as objects of visualization. As a meme, the visualization of this verse cannot be separated from deliberately constructed understandings. Therefore, this article aims to answer the question: 1) Does the understanding visualized in the memes represent the meaning of the Qur'anic verse Yusuf 28?. 2) How does this imply the existence of women? The article is a library study with a content analysis approach to the visualization of Yusuf 28 in various memes on social media. The data is collected using documentation techniques by searching social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X, Telegram, Pinterest, and TikTok. The search was based on several keywords, specifically “tipu daya wanita”, “wanita tipu daya”, “tipu daya”, “tipu daya perempuan”, and the hashtag #tipudayawanita. Data was analyzed based on content (text), patterns, and the style emphasized. The study found that the understanding of Qur'anic verse Yusuf 28, regarding women as a “fitnah,” is often visualized in various memes on social media in a literal and textual manner. Furthermore, these findings imply the existence of gender inequality, marginalization, subordination, and stereotypes toward women. The reality essentially does not reflect the principles of equality and humanity that are central to the Quran's core values. These findings further strengthen the argument that the visualization of Qur'anic verses on social media regarding women tends to be biased and textual. Therefore, this article's findings can provide academic literature for governments, religious leaders, and gender activists in designing more equitable and gender-sensitive narratives and content for disseminating religious messages on social media.

Abstract

Sufism and nationalism are often perceived as opposing forces, with Sufism emphasizing spiritualism and nationalism focusing on materialism. However, in Indonesia, Sufism and its infrastructure have played a significant role, from the struggle for nationalism and the civil movement against colonialism to maintaining national unity after independence. Therefore, this article aims to examine the historicity of Sufism, particularly the role of tariqah organizations in shaping and sustaining nationalism in Indonesia. The article employs a qualitative study with a literature review approach. Data were sourced from the official websites of Jam'iyyah Ahlith Thariqah Al-Mu'tabarah An-Nahdliyyah (JATMAN) and Jam'iyyah Ahli Thoriqoh Mu'tabaroh Indonesia (JATMI), with articles, documents, and manuscripts selected based on their relevance and validity to the study's focus. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman process, which involves data reduction, data display, and conclusion. Data analysis shows that in the phase before independence, Indonesian tariqah adherents were actively involved in promoting nationalism and the anti-colonialism movement in Indonesia. In parallel, during the phase following independence, nationalism was carried out in a more organized manner through two tariqah organizations, namely Jam'iyyah Ahlith Thariqah Al-Mu'tabarah An-Nahdliyyah (JATMAN) and Jam'iyyah Ahli Thoriqoh Mu'tabaroh Indonesia (JATMI). The nationalist role of these two tariqah organizations can be seen in the strengthening of religious moderation, character education, the internalization of spirituality in politics and leadership as support for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) and the Pancasila ideology.

Abstract

Abstract

The article aims to analyze the relevance of the concept of fasting from a Sufi perspective for formulating a practical approach to overcoming spiritual challenges in the digital age, including digital overload, fast-tainment, and “digital sin.” Employing a qualitative library research with a theological-philosophical analytical framework, the study draws on the Quran, Hadith, and Al-Ghazali's Ihya 'Ulum al-Din as primary sources. Data was analyzed through a hermeneutic interpretation of religious texts to build an argument about the relevance of Sufi fasting in the digital context. The study found that the common understanding of fasting (shaumul umum) is no more relevant in the digital age. In this context, the concept of shaumul khawwas, which involves controlling sinful actions, as well as Sufi practices such as mujahadah an-nafs and digital detox (as contemporary ‘uzlah), becomes an essential “spiritual firewall.” The findings show that fasting in the digital age requires a holistic approach that extends beyond the physical aspect, making the Shaumul Khawwas framework an urgent necessity. The findings in this article contribute to providing practical guidance for Muslims to maintain spiritual integrity during fasting amid the onslaught of digital technology, filling a gap in previous studies related to fasting.

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to examine the implementation of humanistic values in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the Yayasan Pembina Generasi Muda 1 Vocational High School in Sleman, Yogyakarta. Using a qualitative case study approach, this study involved five key informants, including three teachers and two students. Data collection was conducted for two weeks, from May 5, 2024, through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in four steps: data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion. The study findings show that PAI teachers have systematically implemented the humanistic learning approach through adaptive lesson design, varied methods, and provided students with space for expression and freedom in learning. Teachers act as facilitators and motivators. At the same time, students are encouraged to be more active and reflective in the learning process. The compatibility between the Merdeka Curriculum and Islamic values supports the implementation of the humanistic learning approach. These findings contribute to enriching the literature on humanistic-based PAI learning practices in the context of vocational schools. Additionally, this study provides practical insights for educators and policymakers to develop a more participatory, inclusive, and holistic student potential development-oriented PAI learning model.
