Abstract

The Madesa Adat marriage at a glance from the name and outward appearance looks the same as the famous marriage system in Bali, as previously mentioned, namely the Nyentana and Padegelahang marriage system or what is known as the Nyeburin marriage system. The method in this research is determining the location, type, approach, source and type, determining informants, instruments, collecting data by observation, interviews and document recording studies, analyzing data and presenting research results. The results in this study are a series of traditional madesa wedding ceremonies consisting of: (a) the traditional masadok stage, namely the party concerned in the traditional house discussing the implementation of the marriage, (b) the piuning stage at the village temple, namely the stage where the party concerned will notify the marriage ceremony, (c) the stage of implementing the marriage consists of reporting the sign, confirming, taking it to the top of the event.

Abstract

Hinduism turns out to have a methodology in obtaining knowledge and truth that is rarely known and understood by Hindus themselves. The methodology turned out to be in Darsana philosophy, especially it can be extracted from the Indian philosophical system known as Sad Darsana which later became known as Nawa Darsana. Nawa Darsana can also be called the nine schools of Indian philosophy from Astika and Nastika, and can also be called the nine methodologies of Hinduism in obtaining truth and knowledge. The Santhi method or positive thinking really needs to be applied to an action in search of knowledge and truth. Furthermore, the last is the Darsanam method or directly realizing that knowledge, namely manifesting what is known and understood from a knowledge so that it will obtain the highest knowledge or the highest truth.

Abstract

The Tri Framework of Hinduism should be carried out in its entirety in terms of tattwa, morals, and ceremonies. The development of science and technology has led to a very rapid flow of globalization where it can have positive and negative impacts on various aspects of life. One of the impacts that must be considered is the negative impact that brings changes in the moral attitude of the younger generation of Hindus and attitudes to maintain the harmony of the environment around us. At the community level in Canggu Village, North Kuta District, especially the Subak Umalas commander. The uncontrolled behavior of the community has reduced the noble values of ethical teachings in Hinduism which are in the teachings of Tri Hita Karana (parhyangana, Palemahan, Pawongan). One of the changes that have occurred is the conversion of agricultural land which is being carried out and even the existence of Subak in Bali will shift.

Abstract

The Baritan tradition in Wringinpitu Village, Tegaldlimo District, Banyuwangi Regency is carried out once every long dry season and is carried out in the afternoon. The procession of the Baritan tradition is carried out in mutual cooperation, starting from the preparation, implementation of the tradition, to the closing prayer. There are Buddhist values in the Baritan tradition, namely the value of religious tolerance by the community which is in accordance with the Buddha's sermon in (Udumbarika Sihananda sutta) and King Asoka's Declaration on harmony and mutual respect between religions. The next Buddhist value is found in the prayer that is said by praying for local ancestors. This is in accordance with the Buddhist value, which is found in the Buddha's sermon (Pattakammasutta) which discusses proper blindness according to the advice of the Buddha to relatives, guests, ancestors, kings and the gods.

Abstract

Massage is one of the health-related traditions practiced. Massage culture is now not only practiced in an empirical setting, but has also become part of the behavior of paramedical actions. This effort is made to balance the treatment of giving drugs to toddlers, which frequently result in unintended side effects. Baby massage is one of the non-pharmacological therapies for infant sleep deprivation. Touching the baby can cause the release of endorphin hormones, which reduce pain and reduce the frequency of crying, and thus massage improves the baby's sleep quality. The research employs structural functionalism theory in conjunction with an ayurvedic approach. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, literature review, and documentation. Purposive sampling was used in the sampling technique. The study included 18 children aged one to five, ranging in age from one to five years. According to the findings, baby massage using specific techniques can improve sleep quality.

Abstract

Culture is a way of life and beliefs that can be accepted by a group of people. We must protect and preserve culture. One of them is this nyadran tradition. Nyadran is a series of activities or ceremonies aimed at praying for ancestral spirits which is carried out before Ramadan, namely in the month of Ruwah. In Kalipucung Village, the Nyadran tradition has positive values, impacts, and local wisdom for the community. So do not be surprised if this nyadran tradition in Kalipucung Village is still maintained and is still carried out regularly once a year. This study uses qualitative research methods and uses data collection of observations, interviews, and documentation. In addition, this study has the objectives of 1) describing the nyadran tradition, 2) describing the role of the nyadran tradition in strengthening harmony among the people of Kalipucung village.

Abstract

The ceremony is part of the three frameworks of Hinduism. As part of the five sacrifices that are carried out sincerely, there is Dewa Yadnya. One of them is the mapeselang ceremony, a series of ngenteg linggih. What's unique about this procession is that there is a mlaspas in a holy place, mulang pedagingan, after that so that Ida Hyang Parama Wisesa can sit at the pelinggih, then mepeselang is carried out, namely pratima is lowered through a new buffalo caru to the bale peselang . Finally, they will also be picked up to the bale pedanan. When the procession is finished, there will be a religious dialogue between Pedanda Shiva-Buddha in which the conversation is about the contents of this universe. By holding this rite, it is hoped that the harmony of the cosmos will occur through creation, maintenance, and annihilation.

Abstract

Human civilization is formed in various ways, both from nature and from humans themselves. From these two elements a belief can be formed between human beings so that mass belief or religion is created. In Bali itself, the Tumpek Wariga activity is a form of community religious ritual with cultural and spiritual values as a religious person. Tumpek wariga itself is a tradition of Hindu religion offering to God Almighty for the natural wealth given. By expressing this gratitude, the Hindu community in Penatih Bali village conducts religious activities simultaneously by carrying out various kinds of activities with the same goal of increasing spiritual values as a religious community. By using ethnographic research methods as well as literature studies and interviews with the community in Penatih Bali village, where the results of this study aim to introduce one of the local wisdoms that exist in Indonesia, how this cultural activity is still preserved by the community

Abstract

The theoretical conception in this study uses the social construction theory of Peter L. Beger with three components, namely externalization, objectivation, and internalization. The research approach used is qualitative with descriptive type, and data collection through primary and secondary data. The purpose of this study is to reveal and explain the social reality of Islamic religious behavior and values in society during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results obtained are that there is a socio-religious construction in society during the pandemic, this can be seen by the construction of religious values that change people's lives to adjust to the current situation.

Abstract

This research describes a movement to save the environment called 'Gumuruh' or Movement Muncar Rumahku which is caused by destructive fishing such as illegal fishing which can cause environmental damage. This study also aims to find out what efforts have been made by Rumah Intraan in saving the environment. The research method used in this study is qualitative with a literature study approach. The results of this study are in the form of intaran houses which in their activities always use and utilize environmentally friendly materials both from the tools used in their daily life, food ingredients, and so on.
