Abstract

This paper aims to analyze indications of irregularities in interpreting the Koran. The method used is a literature review with a discourse analysis approach. This paper shows that every result of a person's thoughts is influenced not only by the level of intelligence, but also by the scientific disciplines practiced, both through experience, scientific discoveries, social conditions, politics, and so on. This also causes a different mufasir in interpreting the Qur'an. This shows that there are two factors that lead to indications of deviations in the interpretation of the Qur'an, namely: the tendency of the interpreter to believe in the meaning without looking at the explanations contained in the recitations of the Koran, and the tendency of the interpreter to simply paying attention to the pronunciation and meaning that can only be understood by speakers of Arabic, without paying attention to what is actually desired by those who speak the Qur'an.

Abstract

Polygamy is one of the controversial issues whose debates have spawned various opinions, especially according to Muhammad Syahrur and Muhammad Abduh, these two figures depart from different cultural backgrounds even though they are both in contemporary times. This study discusses the interpretation of polygamy in QS. al-Nisa' verses 3 and 129 according to Muhammad Syahrur and Muhammad Abduh. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the interpretation of Muhammad Syahrur and Muhammad Abduh along with the differences and similarities about polygamy in QS. al-Nisa' verses 3 and 129. This research uses a literature review with a qualitative approach with comparative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study show that Muhammad Syahrur allowed polygamy with qualification conditions in terms of quality, namely the status of widows who have children applies to second, third or fourth wives. And Muhammad Abduh allowed polygamy on the condition that in case of emergency, i.e. if the maslahat is more than the mudarat. The two have different conditions when it comes to polygamy. Muhammad Syahrur requires in terms of quality and Muhammad Abduh forbids on the grounds of justice. In terms of quantity, there is no difference between the two.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to investigate students' hardships and their factors in creating descriptive texts. The subject of this study was the fourth semester of IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo's English Education Program. 39 students were involved in this study. Three types of instruments were employed to gather the data: documentation, questionnaires, and interviews. The document was used to evaluate students' proficiency in five writing-related areas. The questionnaire was designed to identify specific challenges with descriptive text composition. The purpose of the interview was to identify factors contributing to students' difficulty in writing descriptive texts. This study employed mix method. This study revealed that students had difficulty with content, organization, and mechanics. In terms of content, students struggled with constructing subject sentences (30.76%), supporting sentences (59.97%), and closing sentences (38.46%). Students had trouble repeating essential terms (28.20%), utilizing linking words (28.20%), and explaining the topic (43.58%). In technical, students experienced difficulty with punctuation (12.82%) and capitalization (20.51%). The factors of hardship were self-motivation, self-confidence, lack of reading, and lack of practice were internal issues. External influences included the chance to write, learning materials and media, and the absence of feedback in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to answer questions about the law of women's careers in the public sphere, while the verse of the Qur'an studied is Qs. There are several different interpreters in interpreting this verse so there is a gap that occurs in women today. This research uses a hermeneutic approach, namely double movement theory as a theory to know and understand the verse of the Qur'an contextually. The results show that it is permissible for women to have a career in the public sphere as long as it does not harm themselves and their work, and can provide benefits or benefits to the people.

Abstract

This article examines how Islam has played a part in developing political identity in the Indonesian city of Gorontalo. It assess how Islam has changed over time in Gorontalo, how locals have interpreted it, and how contemporary perspectives on Islam's place in Gorontalo compare to those of the past. The lasting effects of Islam's sway over Gorontalo politics will then be evaluated. Islam has been practiced in Gorontalo for generations. Many historical narratives detail the first contacts between native peoples and Muslim settlers from Arabia, Yemen, and China, eventually leading to Islam's widespread embrace. Many in Gorontalo believed adopting Islam would help unify the area's disparate cultural groups and improve its political and social institutions. As a result, Shi'ite and Sunni communities developed in Gorontalo, and Islamic law and education were instituted there. Since the city of Gorontalo's founding, religion and politics have been inextricably entwined. Islamic political parties and movements have had a significant role in establishing the current government order in the area. Political authorities in the region frequently draw on Islamic ideas in making decisions, and the region's legal codes are in place to ensure social justice and political stability. Thanks to this, Islam's political legacy may be carried on from generation to generation.

Abstract

This study is entitled the integrative paradigm of Islamic education as capital in facing the 4.0 era. This type of qualitative research, the category of library research, uses historical, comparative, and educational science approaches. The method is descriptive and analytical. Studies prove that the integrative paradigm is the basic capital of Islamic education in facing the 4.0 era without having to escape identity as an Islamic educational institution that has characteristics and adheres to the principles of al-muhafadhah 'ala al-qadim ash-shalih wa al-ahdzu bi al-jadid alashlah, namely maintaining the Islamic religious tradition by steadfastly preserving its myriad treasures and without having to lose the function of Abdullah and his caliphate or empirical rationale towards spiritual empirical rationality by integrating several paradigms namely non-dichotomous Education, From Teaching to Learning, Novum Organum to Tartium Organum, as well as from the profession to the prophetic. In this way, Islamic education will leave the point of absurdity of civilization towards an advanced civilization, even if the students have IQ Intellectual intelligence, EQ emotional intelligence, and SQ spiritual intelligence with these three bits of intelligence, so students become rahmatan lil alamin.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal one aspect of the historical process of the Qur'an from its revelation to becoming a complete and printed book with varied color patterns which was previously only in the form of plain writing as it appeared in the first centuries. This research uses a descriptive approach, with a literature review method that refers to classical books, Quranic manuscripts, and contemporary research results. The results showed that the renewal of Qur'anic writing went through three stages, namely: the stage of laying syntax points, the placing, and the Mushaf that has been used by Muslims from the early period of the arrival of Islam to the present includes three Mushaf; namely, the plain Mushaf, the dotted Mushaf, and the arithmetic Mushaf. Ibn al-Bawab is considered to be the first person to compile the Quranic harakat format which became the basis for modern Quranic printing.

Abstract

The article aims to analyse the curriculum implementation model in learning and its implications for education. The method used is skinataif. The results of the study show that the curriculum has an important role in improving the quality of education and strengthening learners' education. Appropriate implementation of the curriculum according to students' needs can help improve students' skills and knowledge, increase learning motivation, strengthen students' participation and involvement in the learning process, develop important life skills, increase accountability in education and improve students' future opportunities. A good and appropriate curriculum implementation model needs to be developed and implemented consistently to strengthen student participation and improve the overall quality of education. So that learners can be ready to face future challenges and competition and become successful and contributing members of society

Abstract

One of the most widely recognized evaluation models adapted to education is the Kirkpatrick model. However, this model has limitations when used by evaluators, especially in complex higher education environments. In response to the dearth of collective efforts in addressing these limitations, this paper aims to analyze the implementation of the Kirkpatrick evaluation model in the training on the use of digitization in the library of IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo. Three themes of limitations were found: a tendency towards using the lower levels of the model; rigor that ignores other important aspects of evaluation; and a lack of evidence on the causal chain between the levels. It is suggested that, when using the Kirkpatrick model in higher education, evaluators should overcome these limitations by considering more appropriate methods, integrating contextual inputs in the evaluation framework, and establishing causal links between the levels

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the strategy of the madrasah head in implementing the independent learning curriculum at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Gorontalo City and to analyze the obstacles and solutions in implementing the Merdeka Belajar curriculum in Madrasah. This type of research is qualitative with a naturalistic approach. The results showed that the principal's strategy in implementing the independent learning curriculum at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Kota Gorontalo is that the principal prepares a plan for implementing the independent curriculum through meetings with teachers, the principal sends teachers to training in the form of technical guidance, webinars, seminars related to the implementation of the independent curriculum, the principal fosters teachers and students intensely, the principal builds cooperation with student parent partners. The obstacles in implementing the independent curriculum are that some teachers and students are less familiar with operating application platforms, not all teachers and students use smartphones, some teachers are elderly, school facilities are still limited, and not all parents supervise children at home in learning. Solutions in implementing the independent curriculum in madrasas, namely, encouraging more massive training on the independent curriculum, increasing the availability of facilities and infrastructure, and conducting special coaching for parents as school partners.
