Abstract

Hemodialysis is a therapy in patients with kidney failure associated with inflammatory processes and malnutrition. This systematic review aims to identify and assess the effectiveness of nursing interventions that have an impact on the nutritional status of patients with hemodialysis. A systematic search was carried out in several international data bases, namely: PuBMED, ProQUEST, and Science Direct. We included 9 studies related to intervention to improve the nutritional status of hemodialysis patients who have been tested for quality with CASP and JBI. There are 3 studies evaluating educational and information interventions, 3 studies evaluating enriched food supplementation, 2 studies evaluating dietary interventions, and 1 studi evaluating physical exercise interventions. The studi included significant results on positive changes in the nutritional status of hemodialysis patients, ie there was an increase in food intake, nutritional laboratory markers, anthropometrics and there was a decrease in serum trigleserid levels, IDGW lines and dry weight, and no PEM condition was found after the intervention was given in time certain. The choice of education and information interventions, the provision of enriched food supplements, diet and physical exercise can provide a good effect on improving the nutritional status of patients with hemodialysis, but resources and cost effectiveness need to be taken into consideration.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of vertigo (canalit reposition treatment) exercise on body balance in vertigo patients and treatments. The specific purpose of this research is to identify the balance of the body in the control group and the design in this study is a Quasy Experimental study using a Static Group Comparison / Non Exuivalent Group Design research design approach. The hallmark of this research is revealing a causal relationship by looking at one treatment group compared to the control group. The treatment group was observed body balance before vertigo gymnastic intervention (canalit reposition treatment), then observed again after vertigo gymnastic intervention (canalit reposition treatment), while the control group only observed body balance without giving treatment. The population in this study were patients who were hospitalized with simple random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and observations, then the data was processed and analyzed using the Wilcox statistical test with α 0.05.Based on the results of research that has been done obtained from the Wilcoxon test in the treatment group obtained α = 0,000. While from the control group, the result α = 0.003 This means that there is an influence between Vertigo Gymnastics (Canalit Reposition Treatment) on Body Balance in Vertigo Patients. However, there were differences between the treatment and control groups. Based on these results, the Vertigo Gymnastics (Canalit Reposition Treatment) affects the body’s balance in Vertigo patients. We are confident that Vertigo Gymnastics (Canalite Reposition Treatment) can be used in Vertigo patients in dealing with disorders of body balance as a companion therapy in addition to pharmacological therapy. With Vertigo Gymnastics (Canalite Reposition Treatment), balance disorders can be resolved immediately and the problem of comfort disorders in patients will be resolved as soon as possible.

Abstract

Introduction: Lower extremity ulcers represent a serious and costly complication of diabetes mellitus. Many factors contribute to the development of diabetic foot, such as limited joint mobility of the ankle and foot level, impaired muscular performance and reduced gait speed. Several studies discuss the effects of planned and structured exercise or physical movements on leg muscle strength and ankle joint mobility.Aim: This literature study aims to analyse the effect of an experimental protocol of exercise therapy on joint mobility, muscular strength and gait speed in a group of diabetic subjects. Method: This study explores quantitative published in the electronic databases: PubMed, Science Direct, and Proquest. Using a search strategy, we identified 131 potentially relevant articles. Fourteen studies were included in the final analysis.Result: This study obtained 14 journals that consist of RCT, quasi-experimental study, and cross-sectional. This literature study showed that   significant post-intervention improvements in limited joint mobility of the ankle and foot level, impaired muscular performance and reduced gait speed for participants who received exercise therapy compared to the control groups. Conclusions: These results indicate that program of exercise therapy significantly improves joint mobility, muscular strength and walking speed in diabetic patients and community nurses can apply that to improve community health status.
