Abstract

Background: Coaching or training by mentors in the literature search process and utilization of research results can foster a positive culture both in the unit and in the organization. Objective: to identify the effectiveness of EBP education through a mentoring program by nurses in hospitals. Methods: Search articles using keywords to find the results of research that discusses the education of EBP nurses by hospital mentors in three journal portals indexed by PubMed, Wiley, and ScienceDirect, then using the Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP) Randomized control trial as a tool for extracting obtained. Results: The EBP education program carried out is able to improve the knowledge and skills, attitudes,and beliefs of nurses to searching information and integrate into evidence-based practice. Conclusion: EBP education through a mentoring program can improve the implementation of evidence-based practices in hospitals Future research needs to focus on longitudinal studies to evaluate the long-term effect of EBP education programs on organizational culture

Abstract

Lack of nutrition is the one of health problems that occurs in street children because of their irregular eating patterns and activities are not balanced with their food intake. In addition, with the most dominant activities of street children are singing, then selling and begging with uncertained work hours, street children are often also found until late night following city life. The research method is observational analytic using sectional design. The sample consists of 102 Street children of Surabaya. Sampling technique using Simple Random Sampling. The research instrument used Eating Pattern questionnaire and Physical Activity with validity 0.444 and reability 0.823, weight measurement with scales and height scale with microtoise. Data analysis was done by using spearman rank (rho) with significant level α <0.05. The results of the study, there is a relationship between eating pattern and physical activity with nutrition status of Surabaya street children. Proved by the results of statistical analysis of eating pattern with nitrition status of street children p = 0.000 <α = 0.05 and physical activity with nutrition status of street children p = 0.000 <α = 0.05. The conclusion of nutrition less can be related with eating pattern and physical activity of street children. So, it is necessary to pay attention towards their nutrition intake which received by Street children by giving them food 4 healthy 5 perfect and take a rest or sleep 9 until 11 hours per day to stabilized metabolism rate within their body of street children of  Surabaya.

Abstract

Objective: to identify the relation between physical fitness and work posture with musculoskeletal complaints in glass bead worker in Jombang. One of the prosess in making glass bead were forming process. Workers in forming part worked in un ergonomic posture for 8 hours everyday. Health effects that arised as a result of an unergonomic worked postures are musculoskeletal disorders.Otherwise, physical fitness also could effect musculoskeletal disorder complaint Methods: This article This research  is an observational research with cross sectional approach design. The sample were 30 worker in forming part who fulfill inclusi category. Data were used Harvard Step Up Test, Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA), and filling out questionnaire Nordic Body Map (NBM). Correlation coeficient test was used to analyse the correlation between variables.Results:  There was a strong corelation physical fitness and musculoskeletal complaints and physical fitness (correlation coefficient = 0,611) and modetare correlation between musculoskeletal complaints and work posture (correlation coefficient = 0,577).Conclusion: Based on the results of this study concluded that physical fitness and work posture were significantly related to musculoskeletal complaints. It is suggested to companies that provide picture of good work posture in workplace, so all workers would know about how to work with good posture. Abstract

ABSTRACTIntroduction: Conflict is a complex process that cannot be avoided. Demands that health workers can provide comprehensive services influence on increasing interaction between health workers. The purpose of this literature review is to obtain information about conflicts and their management in hospitals.Methods: Article searches were carried out in four database journals namely Google Scholar, ProQuest, Pubmed, and Wiley. The keywords used are "conflict management" OR "conflict management style" AND "nurse" AND "physician. Obtained 1911 articles which were then filtered out to select 11 articles relevant to the purpose.Results: A total of 11 articles were found discussing the causes of conflict such as individual, organizational and interpersonal factors. Avoiding is the main choice in managing conflict followed by collaboration. Demographic variables such as gender, age, level of education, emotional intelligence, personality, length of work and managerial position are variables that influence the use of strategy.Discussion: Conflict and its management are motivated by many factors, therefore it is important to assess appropriately the influencing factors so that they are expected to have an impact on the conflict management approach used by nurses and doctors. Keywords: conflict, conflict management, doctors, nurses.

Abstract

Objective:  Chronic Obstuctive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) increases morbidity and mortality by causing various levels of disturbances including coughing, chest pain, congestion, odema, changes in breathing patterns, and changes in posture.Methods:  The research design was quantitative research by using a quasy experimental design, two groups pre test and post test design.Results:  The results of the bivariate analysis of the dependent t-test in the relaxed sitting treatment group obtained p-value 0.019, while in the treatment group pursed lips breathing the results of p-value is 0.000. The independent t-test results obtained p-value 0.004.Conclusion:  The conclusion of this study shows a comparison of the effectiveness of relaxed sitting with pursed lips breathing to decrease the degree of congestion of patients with COPD.

Abstract

 Hypertension will often occur in the elderly due to physiological decline and stress will trigger an increase in blood pressure if it lasts a long time it will cause persistent high blood pressure This research aims to know the correlation between stress and blood pressure in elderly with hypertension at the working area of Community Health Center of Kadungora, Garut RegencyThis was a correlational descriptive research which used cross sectional approach and total sampling technique with 116 elderlies who suffer from hypertension.The instrument of the research was DASS (Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale) which consisted of 14 questions and used digital sphygmomanometer to measure the blood pressure. The results of this study were obtained the normal category stress  32 respondens (27,6%), mild stress 45 respondents (38.8%), moderate stress 29 respondents (25.0%) and severe stress 10 respondents (8.6 %). The results of blood pressure 130-139 mmHg / 80-89 mmHg were 30 respondents (25.9%), ≥140 mmHg / ≥90 mmHgs 79 respondents (68.1%) and ≥180 mmHg / ≥120 mmHg as many as 7 respondents ( 6.0%). From the analysis result, the significant value of p=0,024 which means that it significant effect and thus the H1 can be accepted that there is a significant correlation between stress and blood pressure on hypertension elderly in the working area of Community Health Center of Kadungora, Garut Regency. Medical staffs are expected to use this research as the basic in developing health care activities for elderlies such as Integrated Development Post (posbindu) by providing socialization about information and education related with stress and blood pressure.

Abstract

Objective:  to determine the effect of the remuneration system on work motivation, job satisfaction and its impact on nurse's performance in the Dr. M. Goenawan Partowidigdo Lung Hospital, Cisarua, Bogor.Methods: This article  methode is a descriptive analysis which use partial data analysis least square. The source of data research by questionaire filled by the government and general services corporation nurses for 97 samples.Results:  The result of this research has shown a significant influences between remuneration system to motivation, satisfaction services and also performance of nurses. It is proven that the result of Smart application Partial Least Square has shown us all the indicator result >0.6 with correlation value close to 1 and validity test in each indicator give the valid result >0.7. Conclusion:  this hospital keeps continue using the remuneration system in order to give the division of payment services, give the transformation of leadership application program, block the social media situs program, lose the multitasking, optimize the supervision program, optimize the sport program to increase motivation, working and performance satisfaction of nurses.

Abstract

Hypertension is a disease with a systolic > 140 mmHg and a diastolic > 90 mmHg. This disease often occurs in the elderly due to aging as cell, physiological, and psychological changes occur. Phenomenon found in Griya Usila Santo Yosef many elderly were hypertensive suferer. One non-pharmacological management for hypertension is low impact training aerobic exercise. This study aims to analyse effect of low impact training aerobic exercise on decreasing blood pressure in elderly with hypertension. Desiign of this study was a pre-experimental design with a one group pre-post test design. The independent variable in this study was low impact aerobic exercise, and the dependent variable was blood pressure. Respondents of this study were 32 elderly people with hypertension who fulfilled the inclusion criteria whom were collected by simple random sampling. Results of this study showed that  mean of systolic and diastolic blood pressure before intervention was 149.84 ± 6.66 and 83.25 ± 11.41, mean systolic and diastolic blood pressure after intervention was 145.09 ± 5.71 and 79.44 ± 11, 55, and the results of paired T-Test statistical tests with SPSS 20 software were obtained p (0,000) <α (α = 0.05) for the systolic and diastolic pressure. It meant that there was an influence of low impact aerobic exercise on blood pressure reduction. Based on the results of the research, elderly gymnastics aerobic low impact is important in which the training given to elderly patients hypertension to help in controling blood pressure.  Keywords: Hypertension, Elderly, Aerobic Low Impact Exercise

Abstract

Introduction: Breast cancer is a malignant disease in women where the mortality rate of sufferers increases every year. The importance of early detection steps to help women overcome these problems, one of them by doing breast self-examination (Breast Self-Examination) Behavior of a person to do breast self-examination is basically different, this is influenced by several factors, one of which is knowledge. Objective: This literature review aims to determine the effect of health education on the behavior of women of childbearing age in conducting BSE actions. Methods: Search for articles using an electronic database that is google schoolar, Science Direct, and Pubmed. Keywords used in Indonesian and English are "women", "BSE health education", "Women", and "Health Promotion Breast Self-Examination". The article search results were found on the Google Scholar website of 3,090, Science Direct 4,875 results, and PubMed 224 results. The articles were then sorted according to topic so that 8 research articles were collected which were considered to be representative of all research articles on women and BSE health education. Results: It was found that BSE health education can reduce the risk of breast cancer and improve the quality of health promotion in women. Conclusions and Recommendations: this study provides valid evidence that health education influences the behavior of women to make breast self-examination. Further studies related to health education can be done in more depth about which actions are most effective in increasing behavior in doing breast self-examination.

Abstract

Introduction: Elderly is a vulnerable group that has the potential to increase morbidity in the earthquake disaster in Surabaya because the elderly have a decreased physical ability in disaster preparedness. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect earthquake preparedness in the elderly in the Puntodewo Posyandu Surabaya.Method: This study used a quantitative descriptive research design with a cross-sectional approach, with the elderly population in the Posodandu Puntodewo included in the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The study selected respondents with purposive sampling with a sample size of 110 respondents. Data collection tools used a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test and the Spearman test.Results: Chi-Square test results showed no relationship between age factors and preparedness ρ = 0.507> ɑ: 0.05, there was a relationship between educational level factors and preparedness ρ = 0.008 <ɑ: 0.05. The Spearman test results showed that there was no correlation between knowledge factors with preparedness, ρ = 0.819> ɑ: 0.05 and there was a relationship between experience and preparedness ρ = 0.000> ɑ: 0.05.Conclusion: Earthquake disaster preparedness in the elderly is influenced by several factors namely the level of education and experience factors.Keywords: Influencing factors, preparedness, elderly
