The purposif of this study is to the use of Audio Visual Media (video) on the Teaching and Learning process of Physical examination in the Undergraduate Students of NursingThe research design was Quasy-eksperiment with pre test and post test design. The sample was 103 respondens in the pre-test group and 103 respondents in the post-test group. Sampel recruited by total sampling. Data  were analyxed using the  t dependent test. The average to perform of physical examination before the responden given video was 24,70 white deviation standart was 7,52. The average to perform of physical examination after the responden given video was increase, that average was 40,15 and deviation standart was 8,76. The t dependent test result showed pvalue=0,000 (pvalue<0,05)..It is concluded that there was a significant difference to perform of physical examination before the responden given video and after the responden given video. Futther research is expected to use a control group.

Abstract

Objective: The Effect of Contact Lenses, humidity, and knowledge on the dry eyes syndrome. Methods: The type of reserach used is observation. The dimensions of study time are cross sectional because of data collection and outcome at one time. Humidity variables were measured using thermohygrometer and users’characteristic were obtained by questionnaire. The statistical test used is multiple logistic regression to find out effect of  Contact Lenses Type, length of lens usage, humidity, and knowledge on the dry eyes syndrome. Results:  Respondents were students  Faculty of Public Health UNAIR from 2014-2017. Based on the type of lens, 90.9% of respondents used daily wear and 9.1% of respondents used overnight wear or extended wear. Based on the length of use of the lens  84.8% using a lens more than 4 hours and 15.2% less than 4 hours. Based on knowledge of 51.5% having high knowledge and 48.5% having low knowledge. Based on the humidity of the space of 54.5% the humidity level of the air conditioned lecture hall is appropriate and 45.5% is not suitable.Logisti regression test results obtained value of 4.732 Wald with a probability of 0.030, which means that there is a significant effect of moisture on the dry eyes syndrome while the user characteristics there is no significant effect. Conclusion:  Based on the results of research conducted Students of the Faculty of Public Health, there are some conclusions that most respondents use the type of daily wear lens. Abstract

Smoking is an unhealthy behavior. According to The Tobacco Atlas 5th edition, Indonesia ranked 4th in the world in terms of cigarette consumption. There needs to be efforts to control smokers and protect non-smokers. One of the efforts to control the impact of cigarettes is the Non-Smoking Area. The results of the archipelagic study that has been carried out, smoking behavior is still carried out both by students, employees and lecturers at the non-smoking area Faculty of Public Health. The research design used was a quantitative observational approach with a cross sectional study design. The study was conducted at the Public Health Faculty of Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya. Respondents of this study were aged 18-59 years with all male gender. Respondents are FKM UNAIR academics who smoke. Based on the results of the study and analysis, the results of the statistical test chi square variable action situation with the results of fisher's exact smaller than alpha which means significant. The results of this study are that there is a correlation between smoking behavior and action situation. Action situations are situations that support respondents to smoke.Suggestions for faculties are to conduct evaluations and checks on traders in the faculty who are still selling cigarettes. Give sanctions to traders who still sell cigarettes. Issue technical regulations for the implementation of Non-Smoking Areas in FKM in writing and based on existing non-smoking area regulations. Form a field supervisor team related to non-smoking Area implementation directly. Form a counseling consulting team to stop smoking.

Abstract

Background: Wounds occur when normal skin structures are damaged. Injury events in Indonesia have increased by 8.2% and the highest prevalence in South Sulawesi is 12.8%. One of the growth factors that play a role in the wound healing process is epidermal growth factor (EGF). EGF includes polypeptides that contain 53 amino acids, and EGF is present in all fluids in the body and platelets. This review aims to determine the role of EGF in the process of wound healing. Method: Data collected since 2017 using 8 databases (pubmed, science direct, google schollar) where the literature used is internationally published literature, additional references are taken from the bibliography of all relevant articles, all relevant articles are reviewed and analyzed. Results: EGF has a role in wound healing. EGF increases motility and epithelial cell migration. EGF can stimulate cell growth, proliferation and differentiation by binding to high affinity to the EGF receptor (EGFR) on the cell surface. The goal of EGF healing is most epithelial tissue, fibroblasts, and endothelial cells. EGF can call three important biological actions in tissue repair including cytoprotection, mitogenesis, and migration. Conclusion: EGF plays an important role in the wound healing process, especially in the re-epithelial process. Based on this review, it is suggested that the selection of dressings that are used should support EGF.
