Abstract

This research analyzes the leadership of the madrasa principal in building a school climate, and the example of the madrasa principal in building a school climate in Madrasah Aliyah Al-Washliyah 49 Pasar Lembu, Air Joman District, Asahan Regency.This type of research is a qualitative research approach, through observation, interviews, and document review. This method is used for several reasons, first, adapting this method is easier when dealing with reality. Second, this method presents directly the nature of the relationship between the researcher and the respondent. Third, this method is more sensitive and more adaptable to the many sharpening of joint influences on the patterns of values encountered. The interview targets/respondents in this study included the head of the madrasa, the deputy head of the madrasa, and teachers and all madrasah residents. The formulation of the research problem is 1)How is the leadership type of the madrasa principal in building the school climate in Indonesia? Madrasah Aliyah Al-Washliyah 49 Pasar Lembu, Air Joman District, Asahan Regency; 2)How is the exemplary leadership of the madrasa principal in building a school climate?in Madrasah Aliyah Al-Washliyah 49 Pasar Lembu, Air Joman District, Asahan Regency.The results of the research findings include 1) the type of leadership of the madrasa principal is democratic and fatherly, 2) the exemplary madrasa principal applied includes providing maximum service to all school members.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pendidikan Islam dalam mengatasi sikap agresi pecandu narkoba. Metode yang digunakan metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kajian literatur, observasi, dan wawancara. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan Islam dapat mengatasi sikap agresi pecandu narkoba melalui mentoring pendidikan Islam dengan lima pilar program terapi, yaitu konsep kekeluargaan, tekanan teman sebaya, sesi terapi, sesi agama, dan keteladanan. Pada pilar kekeluargaan ditanamkan rasa kasih sayang, saling menasihati, dan memberi semangat. Tekanan teman sebaya diupayakan untuk melatih keaktifan, kemandirian dan kepemimpinan klien. Pada sesi terapi, sikap agresi ditanggulangi dengan membagi level klien sesuai data hasil tes dan wawancara masuk rehabilitasi, kemampuan beradaptasi dan mengikuti kegiatan terapi, dan data hasil perkembangan pemulihan. Pada sesi agama, sikap agresi dicegah melalui kegiatan-kegiatan tadarus Al-Quran, kuliah tujuh menit, tahfiz Qur’an, salat berjemaah, dan gotong-royong. Sesi keteladanan memberikan contoh yang baik pada setiap klien. Pelaksanaan lima pilar pemulihan menggunakan pendekatan konseling Islam.

Abstract

Transmisi Islam di Jambi, Sumatera, selama ini dilakukan oleh guru-guru ngaji kampung yang mendapat pendidikan agama di Seberang Kota Jambi, Padang, Jawa, hingga ke Mekkah dan Madinah. Pendidikan oleh para guru mengajarkan kedamaian Islam, yang disebut oleh seorang informan penelitian dengan idiom Bujang Damai. Selain guru-guru lama, Jambi juga menerima paham Islam terkini akibat usaha perluasan gerakan Islam transnasional, serta paham keagamaan yang disebar melalui media baru. Ketiganya mewarnai pendidikan kader muda organisasi mahasiwa Islam di Jambi. Pada tiga jalur itu, literatur keagamaan dan aksi identitas mereka penting untuk dilihat. Tulisan ini akan mengelaborasi idiom Bujang Damai sekaligus identitas tentang perdamaian yang berasal dari tradisi Melayu Jambi. Idiom yang digali melalui wawancara pada akhir 2019 dengan 12 orang aktivis organisasi mahasiswa Islam Pergerakan Mahasiswa Islam Indonesia (PMII), Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam (HMI) dan Kesatuan Aksi Mahasiswa Islam Indonesia (KAMMI), di tengah penggaungan sikap moderasi beragama dewasa ini. Penelitian berargumen bahwa paham keagamaan yang damai dan moderat masih menjadi materi utama pendidikan kader pada ketiga organisasi mahasiswa Islam, didukung oleh literatur keagamaan yang menunjang. Walau aksi identitas menyikapi isu aktual keagamaan dilakukan dan dianggap pembeda dari organisasi mahasiswa Islam lain, menjadi Bujang Damai atau Pemuda Pendamai, memelihara kerukunan dan kesatuan negara Republik Indonesia tetap menjadi identitas dan tujuan bersama. Artikel ini menyarankan memperbanyak kolaborasi dan ruang-ruang dialog antar organisasi kaum muda, merawat modal sosial bersama yang damai dan moderat, dalam menghadapi ideologi transnasional dan disrupsi yang mencemaskan akibat revolusi teknologi.

Abstract

Subject Teachers working group (MGMP) is an educational organization which purpose is to improve the competence and professionalism of teachers to improve the quality of education. The quality of the Islamic Education (PAI) (MGMP) activities is a dynamic condition interrelated with the administration, teachers, processes and activities that comply with or exceed what expected. The quality of MGMP activities will help build professional competence and indirectly the performance of teachers. This study aimed to prove: (1) The influence of the quality of the PAI MGMP activities on the professional competence of teachers at the State Junior High Schools (SMPN) in Bandar Lampung. (2) The influence of professional competence on teacher performance at the SMPN in Bandar Lampung. (3) The indirect effect of the quality of the PAI MGMP activities on teacher performance at the SMPN in Bandar Lampung. (4) The influence of the quality of the PAI MGMP activities on professional competence with a teacher performance at the SMPN in Bandar Lampung. The approach in this research was quantitative research with the type was survey research. The data analyzed were parametric analysis with multiple linear regression analysis models (Multiple Linear Regression) using SPSS for Windows20.0. Data were collected from each variable separately by filling out a compiled questionnaire. The sample in this study were 57 teachers who were randomly assigned (cluster-random sampling). The results showed that, firstly, there was a significant influence on the quality of MGMP activities on the professional competence of teachers at the State Junior High School level in Bandar Lampung. Secondly, there was a significant effect of professional competence on teacher performance of teachers at the SMPN in Bandar Lampung. Thirdly, there was an indirect effect the quality of the PAI MGMP activities on the performance of teachers of SMPN in Bandar Lampung, and fourth, there is a significant influence on the quality of the PAI MGMP activities on professional competence and the performance of teachers at the SMPN in Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

This paper examines the role of Manajemen Peningkatan Mutu Berbasis Madrasah in realizing Merdeka Belajar in the Madrasah environment. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews. This is a field research conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Pondok Pesantren Modern Darul Hikmah Taman Pendidikan Islam Medan. This study found that Manajemen Peningkatan Mutu Berbasis Madrasah or MPMBM had a significant impact on madrasah principals in managing the BOS budget. Thus, the head of madrasah is able to make madrasa programs in realizing Merdeka Belajar at MAS PPMDH TPI Medan. There are three madrasa programs launched by the head of the Madrasah MAS PPMDH TPI Medan in allocating the 2020 BOS budget, which are Santri Membaca, Santri Digital, and Santri Siap Kuliah. The purpose of this research is to assist the ministry of education and culture in realizing Merdeka Belajar by using the BOS budget in the Madrasah.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the nature of science through scientific specifications. The focus of the discussion is the ontological basis of the classification of science in terms of studies in Islamic education philosophy. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Scientific reference materials become the primary source in analyzing and testing the validity of research data. The results of this study indicate that the belief in the existence of an ontological status or the existence of objects of knowledge is what will become the ontological basis of the epistemology to be built. Which ontological basis is chosen will greatly influence and even determine the epistemological pattern it builds. For example, the distrust of some great Western scientists to the existence or ontological status of metaphysical entities, causing them to limit the subject matter of science (science) only to the empirical physical field which they call the positive world. Thus they also create a classification of science and scientific methods that match their ontological views. On the other hand, many Muslim scientists and philosophers (Al-Farabi, Al-Ghazali, and Ibn Khaldun) believe that what is real, is not only physical objects, but also non-physical entities (meta physical). In their view, metaphysical (immaterial) entities have an ontological status that is as strong or stronger as physical entities.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the evaluation of the KKNI-based curriculum program at the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) UIN North Sumatra Medan. The curriculum evaluation model used is the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). This study used a qualitative approach, then data was obtained through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation techniques as well as various sources. The results of this study indicate that (1) Context, from this aspect, FEBI UIN North Sumatra Medan applies an KKNI-based curriculum referring to Presidential Regulation No. 8 of 2012; (2) Inputs, including lecturer's RPS, quizzes, assignments, learning participation, mid-semester exams and end-semester exams; (3) Process, including monitoring of internal quality assurance units at the FEBI and university levels at UIN North Sumatra Medan, as well as external quality assurance in the context of institutional and study program accreditation; (4) Product, through formative evaluation (such as group assignments, quizzes, individual assignments, exams) and empirical evaluation (behavior and student participation in the learning process).

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze teacher perceptions of teacher certification policies in improving the quality of education. The focus of the discussion of this study is how the teacher's perception of RA Al Hijrah Badrul Ulum regarding teacher certification policies in improving the quality of education. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, while the data collection techniques used are participant observation, structured interviews and document analysis (documentation study). The results of this study indicate that the establishment of teacher certification policies helps teachers improve their skills and competencies as professionals, and helps from the welfare aspect that has been complained of by teachers. Even so, there are also bad effects that are commonly displayed by teachers, ranging from teaching only limited to fulfilling mandatory hours, to looking at certification from the aspect of welfare and lifestyle improvement.

Abstract

Formulating a strategic plan in developing a culture of quality education at the Islamic High School of Sheikh H. Abdul Halim Hasan Al Ishlahiyah Binjai by: first, formulating the vision, mission, and goals; second, forming a Strategic Plan Drafting Team; third, the formulation process; and fourth, the ratification of the strategic plan. The Strategic Plan Drafting Team consists of the Head of STAI, Deputy Chair, Head of the Quality Assurance Unit, Ka. Study programs, and lecturers. Each party involved in formulating programs and strategies in accordance with their respective fields and for educational quality goals manages facilities, from procurement, maintenance and repair, to development that can create a clean, neat, and beautiful campus environment so as to create pleasant conditions. both for lecturers and students to be on campus. Preparation of strategic programs, namely the development of study programs, facilities and infrastructure, governance and management, development of human resources (HR), funds and funding, quality assurance, research, community service, and cooperation by developing a quality culture, namely: open and continuous communication, mutually supportive internal partnerships, teamwork, discipline, and responsibility. The next step is to socialize it to stakeholders, the academic community, and public and private agencies so that the strategic plan that has been prepared will be successful.

Abstract

Kajian ini membahas tentang etika komunikasi dalam dunia pendidikan melalui kerangka teori teacher engagement (keterlibatan) yang melibatkan pendidik dan peserta didik di SMK Puspita Persada Jakarta Selatan. Penelitian dilakukan selama bulan Desember 2019 sampai Februari 2020 atau dalam masa Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 dengan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif. Melalui kerangka teori Teacher Engagement, studi ini menegaskan pentingnya keterlibatan pendidik dalam memantau seluruh aktivitas peserta didik, tidak saja yang dalam ranah kognitif, afektif, tetapi juga psikomotor. Meski dalam implementasinya memiliki beberapa kendala, tetapi pihak sekolah melakukan berbagai kegiatan yang dapat menjadi solusi atas kekurangan tersebut, seperti rapat mingguan, supervisi, pelatihan dan pembinaan, serta dengan melakukan kajian keagamaan yang tentu saja terkait dengan aktivitas pendidikan. Kajian memperlihatkan bahwa etika komunikasi melalui Teacher Engagement berkontribusi menumbuhkan integritas pendidik di SMK Puspita Persada sekaligus dapat menumbuhkan kecerdasan interpersonal dan intrapersonal pada diri peserta didik. Di sini pendidik melakukan komunikasi edukatif tidak saja didasarkan pada tugas yang diberikan, tetapi lebih kepada pemahaman akan sisi kemanusiaan. Hal yang sama juga dilakukan oleh peserta didik, melalui keterlibatan para pendidik, peserta didik merasa selalu ter-proteksi dan terbimbing dalam setiap aktivitas pembelajaran yang dilakukan. Ada proses edukatif stimulatif yang mendorong peserta didik untuk selalu berkembang. Sebuah perspektif yang mendudukkan etika dalam keterlibatan komunikasi dengan peserta didik di sekolah.
