Abstract

The prevalence of breast cancer in Indonesia in 2013 was 0.05% and is the second-highest prevalence of cancer after cervical cancer. One of the risk factors for breast cancer is obesity. The prevalence of obesity in women based on Riskesdas 2007 - 2013 has significantly increased (13.9%, 15.5%, and 32.9%). The research objective was to determine the relationship between obesity and the incidence of breast cancer in women in Indonesia. Based on the analysis of the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) 5 carried out in 2014, data on breast cancer, obesity, and other factors were obtained in 13 provinces. The study design was cross-sectional and used logistic regression data analysis. The analysis showed that the proportion of obese women suffering from breast cancer in 13 provinces in Indonesia was 0.3%. Logistic Regression Analysis showed that obese women had a protective effect of 0.5 times against breast cancer after being controlled by the age variable (POR = 0.4999; 95% CI 0.275 - 0.906). This study concluded that obesity was statistically related to a protective effect against breast cancer in women in 13 provinces in Indonesia in 2014 after being controlled by the age variable. However, the proportion of obesity and breast cancer in Indonesia tends to increase. Therefore, strict supervision of prevention programs for non-communicable diseases in Indonesia is required.

Abstract

The government has established a health protocol for the adaptation of new habits, one of which is the use of cloth masks for healthy people. The public's indiscipline with wearing cloth masks as a government preventive effort in preventing the transmission of Covid-19 has led to an increase in Covid-19 cases. The aim of the study was to analyze the literature review on the effectiveness of using cloth masks in preventing the transmission of Covid-19. The research design was a literature review. The search for the articles discussed used several databases, including Pubmed, Ebscohost, Proquest, ScienceDirect, and Wiley Online with a span of 1 January - 29 July 2020. The keywords used to search for these articles were covid-19, coronavirus, 2019 n-cov, coronavirus disease, cloth masks, non-medical masks. The type of article used is a research article. Collected articles were reselected using inclusion criteria, namely: 1) the purpose of the article was to analyze the effectiveness of cloth masks in preventing the transmission of Covid-19, 2) were experimental and qualitative research, and exclusion criteria, namely 1) not a full text article, 2) the article don't use English. After the keyword search process, 13,268 articles were obtained from all databases used. Then the article selection was carried out, 8 articles that met the criteria were selected, 7 articles which concluded that the use of cloth masks was not recommended in preventing the transmission of Covid-19. There is only 1 article that mentions the combination of several variations of cloth that are used globally for the production of cloth masks has the ability to protect the respiratory organs from the transmission of aerosol particles. Based on this, it was concluded that the use of cloth masks was less effective in preventing the transmission of Covid-19, but the use of cloth masks was much better than not wearing a mask at all.

Abstract

One marker of the level of Public Health in a country, including Indonesia, is the Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). Maternal death can be caused by many factors, one of which is labor, specifically labor by Caesarean Sectio (SC). Ironically, childbirth by means of SC is now more and more chosen compared to normal (pervaginam) delivery, especially in big cities. Childbirth by means of SC, in addition to increasing the risk of death can also be one cause of infection if treatment is done incorrectly. Caesarean section seams have a risk of infection during the healing process, if not handled properly and correctly will cause many problems, both immediate and problems that arise later. Immediately moving is a way to speed healing, if this is not done it can cause an increase in body temperature due to a poor uterus so that the rest of the blood cannot be removed and causes infection. The aim of this research was to find out the impact of early mobilization in post partum mothers with sectio caesarea (SC) to the post partum SC wound healing process. Draft study was observasional with cross sectional design. The patients who gave birth to SC in the postpartum room of Abepura General Hospital in May 2017 totaling 33 people were the population in this research. The sample in this research are all postpartum sectio caesarean in the postpartum room of Abepura General Hospital in May 2017 totaling 33 people. The sampling technique is accidental sampling. Data was analyzed using chi square statistical tests. There are 11 respondents who do not conduct early mobilization and 22 respondents who die early mobilization. The results indicate that there is relation among early mobilization with recovery rate, α=0,000 <0,05. Early Mobilization is a way to heal an injury after SC.
