Abstract

The existence of “Ojeks” along Kesatrian Jatingaleh, Ngesrep Timur V Sumurboto and Karangrejo Raya Srondol Wetan are driven by the lack of public transport services in meeting the needs of people movement around those corridors. Due to public’s high interest on using “Ojeks”, then the existence of “Ojeks” become increasing and wide spreading characterized by the presence of “Ojeks” associations which locations are often considered unsuited and even interfere the traffic. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to assess the presence of “Ojeks” as public transport which are currently growing so as not to cause traffic chaos and to achieve better transportation development in the future. This study employed a mix of quantitative and qualitative methodology. “Ojeks” operators respondents are determined by census method, while for purposive and incidental sampling technique are used to determine the sample of “Ojeks” association chairman and key persons which are government/academia and “Ojeks” users. Descriptive analysis was used as the analysis technique, which then verified for its validity by triangulation approach. The analysis showed that the presence of “Ojeks” will always be needed as the gap filler against the public transport services. “Ojeks” become main livelihood so as to meet the economic needs on the one hand. On the other or social needs, establishment of “Ojeks” associations serve to accommodate the aspirations and information among “Ojeks”members.

Abstract

This study discusses the efforts to improve the performance of the traffic in the CBD area of Bekasi City with management and traffic engineering. The proposed strategy is the reduction of traffic flow conflict at the existing congestion spots on the main road corridors, which are Ahmad Yani street, KH. Noer Ali street, and Hasibuan street. Congestion occurs in the u-turn and intersection. The proposed treatment is closure U-turn, Kayuringin intersection and the prohibition of right turn and U-turn at the major roads of Mall MM intersection. As for the long term proposal is to build a flyover at the MM Mal Bekasi intersection, this proposal is recommended for long term treatment due to need high costs and substantial time for it. Further studies is needed as well.

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan transportasi daring disebabkan oleh pelayanan transportasi publik yang belum mampu menjangkau seluruh wilayah di Kota Semarang. Selain itu, didukung dengan permintaan terhadap transportasi daring tinggi.  Dalam beroperasi, transportasi daring ini membutuhkan operator sebagai pengemudi, kebutuhan pengemudi inilah yang memberikan peluang pekerjaan bagi masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak dari kehadiran transportasi daring terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja. Penyerapan tenaga kerja pada operator transportasi daring diharapkan dapat menyerap pengemudi ojek konvensional dan membuka lapangan kerja bagi yang belum mempunyai pekerjaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dari total keseluruhan jumlah pengemudi transportasi daring dapat menyerap dan mempekerjakan sebesar 2% tenaga kerja yang sebelumnya tidak memiliki pekerjaan. Tenaga kerja yang terserap sebagian besar adalah penduduk yang telah memiliki pekerjaan kemudian beralih untuk menjadi pengemudi transportasi daring.

Abstract

Development of the creative industry in Indonesia is advancing as successfully applied in various sectors, one of them in the tourism sector. Tembi Tourism Village is a form of tourism development through the concept of the creative industries. Main treat of this tourist village is a rich blend of interesting and traditional meaning is presented in the form of synergy between the feel of a quiet rural community with a distinctive local cultures. This tourist village a lot of progress since the establishment Pokdarwis in 2010, where development is most visible in terms of quality and quantity of programs tourist attractions. The development of this tourist attraction is able to attract more tourists, proved that the number of tourists each month travelers could reach 600 when the number of tourists in previous years only reached tens of visitors for each month. Pokdarwis is in charge of organizing all forms of development of tourist attractions which are managed by the local community. The Pokdarwis role was seen in the process of design creation, plan implementation, and management of tourist attractions also involve other parties in it, including the people that the eventualities of some stakeholders is that further strengthens the existence of Village Tourism Tembi to improve the quality and quantity of tourist attractions programa.

Abstract

The progress in urbanization within downtown areas has been expanded to the surrounding areas (i.e. periphery). This has been considered by the changes of the land uses in two geographically different countries. These areas have experienced a phenomenon of space consumption due to the urban development, which eventually triggered the urban sprawl, such as Mlati in Indonesia, Vertou, Caquefou and Sainte Luce Sur Loire in Nantes, France. This present study aims to examine the practices in the management of space consumption by urbanization in several municipals within periphery of Nantes, such as Carquefou, Sainte Luce sur Loire, Vertou and to compare with the sub-region of Mlati, in Sleman, Indonesia. The objective of this research was to answer the question; what are the major factors that influence the implementation of the policy controlling the urban sprawl in the periphery, in Indonesia and in France? These factors were decomposed in four components: regulations, institutions, resources and implementation. The approaches used in this study were, first of all, the quantitative method and based on its results. The second approach was done by descriptive qualitative method. The first approach was analysis of changes in land uses using evolution matrices of the change of land use, in order to study how a particular type of land use evolved and how it changed. The second step was done by an interview with the people key who are mastering the research subject, and then SWOT analysis was done from the interview. The results show that there is a significant difference between Indonesia and France, particularly in the human resources and implementation.

Abstract

Cikapundung has a huge tourism and mass transportation potency. it needs an revitalization effort to realize the waterfront city concept. The obstacle factors are 0.813 of economic factor, 0.805 of government policy factor, 0.748 of environmental factor, 0.716 of physic area factor, and 0.097 of social community factor. The constraints occur due to a lack of synchronization of the role and function of each stakeholder and the lack of incentives and disincentives are mutually beneficial for them. Some of recommendations that being made are Cikapundung people are expected to keep and maintain their neighborhoods and participate in plan activities by government actively, the private sector are also expected to participate in the development area, the government need an integrated grand design planning and provide limits building permit, and the researcher if they want to do further research related Cikapunung.

Abstract

Public space as an element of urban design has an important role in shaping the character of the area. The square has a function as a public space, applying the principles of designing public spaces, as well as having quality as a public space can reflect a strong character of the area. Seeing the importance of the square as the public spaces, than Kisaran City presenting the main square with the provision of facilities and infrastructure. The existence of the town square as a public space in the Kisaran City still not able to accommodate the activities of the user, so there is some use of the square that does not fit its function. In the search field there is still a mix of activities that are within one point as a parking area for vehicles that are also used for gymnastics area, biking, skateboarding, and rollerblading. The lack of facilities in the town square Kisaran shows the low quality of public space that would affect the character of the downtown area. The purpose of this study was to find the effect of the existence of the town square as a public space to the character of the downtown area in the Kisaran city. To know the effect, this study used Rationalistic positivistic paradigm that is based on a quantitative approach with deductive strategies and methods of data collection in the form of literature studies, field surveys, and questionnaires. Methods of data analysis is done through a statistical test by regression using SPSS for evidentiary purposes theory. The results of this study show the effect of the existence of the town square as a public space to the character of the downtown area in the Kisaran city and describes the elements on the square that plays a major role in shaping the character of the downtown area in the Kisaran city.

Abstract

Land use development plan and integrated transport network in Semarang City requires planning based on the determination of the movement of transit. TOD (Transit Oriented Development) is a model for integration of transportation and land use in order to encourage the transit area. The purpose of this study was to determine the suitability of land use based on concept of TOD in Semarang City. The scope of the research areas at 8 of 10 BWK in Semarang City exclude BWK VI and BWK VIII. Data collection techniques are observation, survey and document review agencies. Analysis of data using a theoretical approach to the concept of TOD, further buffering analysis at point transit using GIS tools with a distance of 600 meters. Results of the research is a concordance rate land use on the application of concept TOD in Semarang City, as for the results 1,15% of 8 BWK were examined. Of the 8 BWK in detail there are only two BWK corresponding to BWK I (one TOD knot) percentage of 6.5% and BWK II (two TOD knots) percentage of 14.08%.

Abstract

The development of a new highway gives an indirect impact on socio-economic changes for people living in proximity. In the short term, the socio-economic growth will be represented from the changes in economic activities. The Salatiga Southern Ring Road has a vital role as a connector between the Northern parts of Central Java Province and the Southern parts of it. The Salatiga Southern Ring Road is a new highway which lays at Salatiga suburbs dominated by agricultural area which less developed compared to the downtown area. The existence of the Salatiga Southern Ring Road is expected to bring some influence on the regional development. The research scope is limited on the microeconomic context which focuses on the changes of economic activities of people on utilizing/exploiting the resources after the completion of the highway construction. The result shows that the socio-economic changes in Salatiga Southern Ring Road is less significant because it happen sporadically. The highway development has only contributed on the increasing accessibilityof a certain area while the socio-economic changes is an individual decision which is affected by lots of different factors on each places.

Abstract

Berdasarkan RTRW Kota Palu Tahun 2010 – 2030, Koridor Sis Al-Jufri ditetapkan sebagai kawasan wisata religi dengan keberadaan Yayasan Pendidikan Al-Khairaat sebagai aktivitas utama. Keberadaan koridor ini juga terdapat berbagai aktivitas pendukung seperti aktivitas ekonomi / perdagangan, sosial kemasyarakatan dan kesehatan dan peribadatan. Dengan beragam aktivitas didalamnya, sehingga dapat menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan morfologi ruang pada koridor Sis Al-Jufri, seperti perubahan peruntukan lahan dari permukiman menjadi kawasan perdagangan dan jasa, terdapat beberapa bangunan hunian berubah fungsi menjadi bangunan komersial untuk kegiatan perdagangan dan jasa mengikuti tuntutan pasar. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi perubahan morfologi ruang yang terjadi pada koridor Sis Al-Jufri, analisis regresi logistik digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh faktor sosial, faktor ekonomi dan faktor kebijakan terhadap perubahan morfologi ruang pada koridor Sis Al-Jufri. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah perubahan morfologi ruang yang terjadi di Koridor Sis Al-Jufri mengalami perubahan sebesar 34,46 % dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perubahan morfologi ruang pada Koridor Sis Al-Jufri saat ini secara signifikan adalah lama bermukim, kepemilikan bangunan, pekerjaan, kepemilikan IMB, dan pengaturan GSB.
