Abstract

The implementation of peer and self assessment has become one of the alternative in doing the product of performance assessment. The research aims to describe student’s ability using peer dan self assessment as standard performance assessment on regulation system in senior high school students. Hopefully, the peer assessment can refer to the peer and self assessment. The research applied descriptive method which involved 25 student of the XI grade senior high school. The research instruments were research were the implementation research form, online form and rubric peer assessment, online self-assessment and student response questionnaire and teacher assessment. Peer assessment was implemented by students in groups and compared to teacher’s assessment. The result showed that the implementation of peer and self assessment was great. The student’s ability in doing peer and self assessment was great too, which means that peer and self assessment can be a standard of performance assessment. The comparation of the students’ assessment and teacher assessment show the similarity with percentage 84%. The type of feedback that many students gave was C1 type (Direction correction). Student respons of implementation peer and self assessment was great and they felt helpful by implementation of peer and self assessment.

Abstract

The 21st Century thinking skills are important skills to have for everyone. These skills can be developed through learning and assessment with the help of applications. This study aims to measure 21st century problem solving skills using Seesaw as an assessment for learning. The method used is descriptive. This research was conducted in one class 10 of SMAN X in West Bandung which was selected by purposive sampling. This study used three project based learning projects. The instruments used were tasks, test instruments, and questionnaires. The task is uploaded in the Seesaw application and assessed with a rubric which is modified from the K-12 Public Education standard 2015. The test instrument is adapted from the NAEP (National Assessment of Educational Progress). The results showed that there was an increase in students' problem solving skills with more N-gain scores in the high category. The mastery of problem solving skills was more in mastery. The progress of students' problem-solving skills also increased during the completion of task 1 to task 3.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the increase in students' mastery of the endocrine system material and learning motivation after using learning media in the form of pop up books by demonstration methode because this learning is carried out in the midst of a pandemic that requires students to learn from home. The method that used in this research was experimental research using quasi-experimental research involving two classes, each consisting of 36 students of class XI Science. Determination of the sample was done by using purposive sampling technique. The instrument in this study consisted of tests containing a matter of mastery of the concept of multiple choice forms, and nontest namely the ARCS learning motivation questionnaire and student response questionnaire. Analysis of research results using statistical tests with the help of SPSS to see differences in the results of the initial test and final test, and N-gain to see an increase in mastery of concepts. The results showed that the initial and final test scores had significant differences (⍺ = 0.05). Reinforcement of concepts in the experimental class increases with the high category (g = 0.806), while the control class increases in the moderate category (g = 0.656). ARCS (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction) are in the high category. Meanwhile, questionnaire analysis showed higher student responses to learning.

Abstract

Augmented reality application-based learning is one form of education reforms that is used to improve various skills that are needed. One of them is creative thinking skills to face the challenges of the 21st century or the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0 today. Therefore, the researcher conducts a study entitled the use of augmented reality application to improve the understanding of plant life cycle and creative thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the effects of the use of augmented reality application based on the improved understanding of students about the plant life cycle and creative thinking skills. This study uses the method of quasi-experimental design. The used study design is non-eqivalent control group pretest-postest design. The samples in this study are grade X students of SMA 2 Lembang consisting of 30 students determined by purposive sampling technique. The results of this study show that there are significant differences in the understanding of the concept and creative thinking skills of the students, although the creative thinking skills in both classes are still in the poor category., it is due to the application media of augmented reality application is only used as a medium of learning without including the making process of it so students are not accustomed when they are faced with questions in the form of problem. The test of two averages on the value of concept understanding shows the figure of (2-tailed t = 0 and 0,001) α (0.05) which means that augmented reality application-based learning has an influence on students 'mastery of concept concepts, but does not affect the ability of participants' creative thinking skills students.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to investigate the effect of problem based learning models on basic science process skills and student learning outcomes on the concept of a food digestive system in humans. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA of SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya City in two classes. The method that was being used in this research was true experiment. The sample was being taken by cluster random sampling method. To measure the basic science prosess skills of the students used an instrument which consists of 12 questions in the form of essay and to measure the learning outcomes used test consists of 30 questions in the form of multiple choice with 5 option. The analysis technique was ANCOVA (analysis of covariance). The results of this research revealed that there was an impact of the problem based learning model to basic science process skills and learning outcomes of learners on the concept of food digestion system in human and there was a relationship between basic science process skills and learning outcomes. Through this research, we found that the higher the basic science process skills of the students, therefore it will impact to the learning outcomes of the students to be better.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a pre-experimental design which is intended to increase student learning activities through the implementation of guided inquiry-based learning on the structure and function of plant tissue materials. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 12 Gorontalo class VIII for 4 meetings. The target of this research is students of class VIII-2 SMP Negeri 12 Gorontalo with a total of 28 students, Odd Semester in the 2019/2020 Academic Year. Student activities are measured through student activity observation sheets, then analyzed, grouped and presented through tables. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of guided inquiry-based learning tools can improve student learning activities on the structure and function of plant tissue in class VIII-2 of SMP Negeri 12 Gorontalo. The increase in student learning activities can be seen from the aspects observed at each meeting, namely meeting 1 the highest score in aspect 1 reaches a percentage value of 100, the lowest score in aspects 2 and 8 reaches a percentage value of 66. Meeting 2 the highest scores in aspects 1 and 4 reach a value percentage 95, the lowest score in aspect 2 with a percentage value of 76. Meeting 3 the highest values in aspects 1, 4 and 5 reached a percentage value of 100, the lowest value was in aspect 10 with a percentage value of 78. The meeting of 4 highest scores was in aspects 1, 3, 4 and 5 reaches a percentage value of 100, the lowest value in aspect 11 with a percentage value of 81.

Abstract

Lack of facilities and infrastructure, and lack of accuracy in the selection of media and learning methods cause students to experience difficulty in receiving lessons from field teachers, this is indicated by the results of working on test sheets using the lecture method, from 36 students who have scored 80, only 6 people, while 30 other students still have not reached the minimum completeness criteria. So learning is implemented using SlidesGo  media and Example and Non-Example learning models. This study aims to determine students' cognitive science learning outcomes using SlidesGo  media and Example and Non-Example learning models. This research method is Classroom Action Research (PTK) carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 36 students of class VIII G even semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. Data collection tools used observation sheets and tests. Data analysis using descriptive analysis techniques. Data from the results of observations and tests in each cycle become the basis or material for improvement in the next cycle. The application of learning using SlidesGo  media and the Example and Non-Example learning model, proved to be very effective in improving student learning outcomes, it can be seen from 36 students, in cycle I got an average of 75.43 and in cycle II got an average of 86 , 69. The value obtained has increased by 11.26 points. The results showed that there was an increase in student cognitive learning outcomes in each cycle after the use of application media and the Example Non-Example learning model on excretory material.
