Abstract

The application of Character Education (PPK) is an education policy that aims to implement the values of religiosity, nationalism, independence, mutual cooperation, and integrity. To be implemented in learning, it is necessary to develop lesson plans that are integrated with those values. The aim of this study was to produce a prototype of thematic Lesson Plan (RPP) that is specific to students in grade 2 of elementary school. This study is a simplified educational Research & Development (R&D). This study was carried out from June to October 2019, which took place at SD Muhammadiyah 24 Jakarta Timur. Product validation was done by experts and small groups. The results of the study in general show that the quality of the prototype based on the validation by instructional design and material experts were 76% and 98%. Additionally, based on the small-scale trials the quality of the prototype was 90%. These results indicate that the prototype of the Thematic Lesson Plan (RPP) developed can be applied in the learning process of grade 2 elementary schools’ students so that it can have an accompanying impact that will produce character of religiosity, nationalism, independence, mutual cooperation and integrity in accordance with The application of Character Education (PPK). Further research is needed to perfectly develop the prototype.

Abstract

This research was conducted in social studies class X of a state high school in Ciamis Regency with the aim to determine the effect of using the type of picture and picture cooperative learning model on the improvement of student learning outcomes. The method used is quasi-experimental model with a pre-test post-test control group design. Data analysis was performed by calculating the value of t. The results showed that the use of the cooperative learning model type picture and picture gave a significant effect in learning outcomes of students' cognitive domains (tcount > ttable). It is necessary to use varied learning models so that students will be more active and have better acceptance of the material presented so that it contributes to improving learning outcomes and the achievement of the specified KKM.

Abstract

COVID-19 is an outbreak of disease originating from China which spread rapidly throughout the world. COVID-19 spread in Indonesia in early March 2020. The spread of this virus caused losses to several countries, especially in the field of economic. In the field of education, it also changed the learning model drastically; all learning activities are carried out online starting from elementary school level to university level. This research is a qualitative descriptive study describing online learning activities at a Christian university after the stipulation of all learning activities carried out from home in online mode. Interview was used to collect the data from 3 students and 2 lecturers. Based on the interview results, online learning activities at this university have been effective by utilizing the Zoom, Google Classroom, Schoology, and Edmodo applications. Constraint in implementing online learning mostly is internet connection problems that less supportive.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a picture of the students subculture grouping tendency in viewing the tertiary institutions and value-oriented information service design about tertiary institutions. The method used was a survey of 2 batches in four study programs in a university in Pontianak, namely Guidance and Counseling studies, PG-PAUD, Mandarin Language Education and Sociology Education of FKIP. A total of 224 students from the four study programs of the 2018 and 2019 classes was participated in this study. The results showed that (1) biographically, students had subcultural tendencies starting from politics, then vocational, academic, non-conformist and collegial. (2) the overall student subculture is in the medium category, (3) there are differences in the student subculture between the two batches in viewing tertiary institutions, (4) ADDIE design as a value-oriented information service about tertiary institutions. This study recommends optimizing the role of the Academic Advisor, and (2) the FKIP guidance and counseling service unit and the center for guidance and counseling in carrying out student coaching activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji upaya pengembangan soft skill siswa SMA melalui kegiatan pramuka. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang menggunakan teori fungsionalisme struktural dari Talcott Parsons dengan sistem AGIL, yaitu Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, dan Latency sebagai dasar analisis data. Partisipan penelitian adalah 24 siswa dan 1 pembina pramuka di sebuah SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pramuka dapat membantu mengembangkan soft skill siswa terutama kemampuan sosial dan kemampuan personal. Kemampuan sosial terdiri dari communication skill, relationship building, dan team work, sedangkan kemampuan personal terdiri dari time management, leadership skill, dan transforming character (percaya diri, tanggung jawab, mandiri, kreatif, cinta alam, dan berjiwa sosial). Kedua kemampuan soft skill dikembangkan melalui partisipasi siswa dalam kegiatan Pramuka dan keanggotaan siswa sebagai Dewan Ambalan Pramuka.This study examines efforts to develop soft skills for high school students through scouting activities. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that uses Talcott Parsons’ structural functionalism theory with the AGIL system, namely Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, and Latency as the basis for data analysis. Research participants were 24 students and one scout coach in a public high school in Kabupaten Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that scouting activities could help develop students' soft skills, especially social skills and personal abilities. Social skills consist of communication skills, relationship building, and team work, while personal abilities consist of time management, leadership skills, and transforming character (self-confidence, responsibility, independence, creativity, love of nature, and social spirit). Both soft skill abilities are developed through student participation in scouting activities and student membership as Scouting Council.

Abstract

Kondisi Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memfasilitasi keterampilan teknik bermain bola basket pada mata pelajaran pendidikan jasmani, olahraga dan kesehatan (Penjaskes) pada siswa tunagrahita dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran langsung. Partisipan penelitian adalah 7 orang siswa kelas XI SMALB-C, dan seorang guru. Tindakan dilakukan sebanyak 2 siklus di mana setiap siklus berlangsung dalam 2 kali pertemuan. Setiap siklus mempunyai empat kegiatan utama yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar keterampilan Penjaskes materi teknik permainan bola basket pada anak tunagrahita kelas XI SMALB-C, yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran langsung. Pembelajaran anak tunagrahita perlu mempertimbangkan penggunaan prinsip keperagaan, pengulangan dan individualisasi. Penelitian ini melaporkan bahwa metode pembelajaran langsung dapat digunakan untuk memfasilitasi keterampilan teknik bermain bola basket pada siswa tunagrahita. This research aims to facilitate basketball technique skills in physical education, sports, and health subject for students with intellectual disability using direct learning methods. The participants of this research are seven second-grade students and a teacher of high school for students with intellectual disabilities. The actions were carried out in 2 cycles, where every cycle lasts for 2 sessions. Every cycle has four main activities; planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results showed an improvement in the learning outcomes of basketball technique skills of physical education, sports, and health subject for second-grade high school students with intellectual disability using the direct learning method. Learning for students with an intellectual disability needs to regard the use of modeling, repetition, and individualization principles. This research reported that the direct learning method could be used to facilitate basketball technique skills for students with intellectual disabilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan perkuliahan pengajaran mikro di sebuah program studi PGSD di Nusa Tenggara. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian evaluasi program berdasarkan model Robert E. Stake terhadap tiga kelas pengajaran mikro yang dianalisis secara kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengajaran mikro di program studi PGSD yang menjadi subyek penelitian adalah a) pada komponen antecedent; persiapan pembelajaran sudah dilaksanakan dengan cukup baik yaitu dosen menyusun silabus dan instrumen penilaian tetapi belum menyusun RPP/RPS, sarana prasarana pembelajaran tersedia cukup lengkap tetapi laboratorium pembelajaran belum sesuai standar ketersediaan laboratorium micro teaching yang benar; b) pada komponen transactions pelaksanaan pembelajaran belum dilengkapi modul, namun pembelajaran dilaksanakan cukup baik dengan strategi pembelajaran teori dan praktik, menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi, penugasan dan pembelajaran daring; c) pada komponen outcomes, hasil belajar dari rata-rata nilai adalah 77,18 dan sudah memenuhi KKM.This study aims to evaluate the implementation of micro teaching lectures in a PGSD study program in Nusa Tenggara. This research is a program evaluation study based on the Robert E. Stake model of three micro teaching classes which were analyzed qualitatively. The data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, and interviews. The results of this study indicate that the micro teaching in the PGSD study program which is the subject of research is a) on the antecedent component; learning preparation has been carried out quite well, namely lecturers compile syllabus and assessment instruments but have not compiled RPP/RPS, learning infrastructure is quite complete, but learning laboratories are not in accordance with the standards of the correct availability of micro teaching laboratories; b) in the transactions component, the implementation of learning is not equipped with modules, but learning is carried out quite well with theoretical and practical learning strategies, using lectures, discussions, assignments and online learning methods; c) in the outcomes component, the learning result from the average score is 77.18 and has met the KKM.

Abstract

Buku teks pendamping merupakan salah satu media yang berperan penting dalam keberhasilan pembelajaran di sekolah, sesuai dengan kebijakan perbukuan yang berlaku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis buku teks pendamping mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas X dalam perspektif kebijakan perbukuan. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis konten dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Analisis data dilakukan dengan beberapa langkah yaitu mencari sumber data, melakukan pencatatan, mereduksi data dengan cara menganalisis data dan menginferensi atau menarik kesimpulan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah buku teks pendamping mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas X yang berjudul “Cerdas Berbahasa Indonesia untuk SMA/MA Kelas X”, karya Engkos Kosasih yang diterbitkan oleh Erlangga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keselurahan, buku teks pendamping tersebut sudah memenuhi peraturan pemerintah tentang peraturan pelaksanaan undang-undang nomor 3 tahun 2017 tentang sistem perbukuan. Pemenuhan peraturan pemerintah tersebut dilihat berdasarkan beberapa hal, sebagai berikut, (1) Buku tersebut sudah memenuhi syarat umum sebagai sebuah buku yang diterbitkan, (2) Buku tersebut termasuk buku yang berbentuk cetak dan berjenis buku teks pendamping, (3) Buku teks pendamping tersebut sudah memenuhi standar buku, baik berdasarkan standar materi, standar penyajian, standar desain, maupun standar grafika, (4) Buku tersebut termasuk ke dalam buku pendidikan yang dinilai dan disahkan oleh menteri. Dengan begitu, buku teks pendamping tersebut layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah-sekolah.Companion textbooks are one of the media that plays an important role in the success of learning in schools, in accordance with applicable bookkeeping policies. This study aims to analyze a companion textbook for Bahasa Indonesia lesson of class X in the perspective of book policy. This study is a content analysis research with qualitative descriptive analysis. The data analysis is carried out in several steps, namely looking for data sources, taking notes, reducing data in the form of analyzing data and inferring or drawing conclusions. The subject of this research is a companion textbook entitled "Cerdas Berbahasa Indonesia untuk SMA/MA Kelas X", by Engkos Kosasih published by Erlangga. The results show that overall, the companion textbook has met government regulations regarding the implementing regulations of law number 3 of 2017 concerning the book system. The fulfillment of these government regulations is seen based on several things, as follows, (1) the book has met the general requirements as a published book, (2) the book includes books in printed form and types of companion textbooks, (3) the accompanying textbook has met book standards, both based on material standards, presentation standards, design standards, and graphic standards, (4) The book is included in the education book which is assessed and approved by the minister. Based on these requirement, the companion textbook is suitable for learning in schools.

Abstract

Dalam masa pandemi sekarang ini, semua kegiatan pembelajaran dilaksanakan dalam bentuk daring atau tatap maya dengan bantuan gawai dan jaringan internet. Pada masa seperti ini, apakah pendekatan pedagogi spiritual dapat terjadi dan dirasakan oleh mahasiswa? Pedagogi spiritual adalah pendekatan pembelajaran yang berparadigma spiritual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan perspektif mahasiswa tentang pedagogi spiritual dalam pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terstruktur yang dilakukan terhadap subjek penelitian menggunakan media komunikasi whatsapp. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW), Salatiga yang berjumlah 15 orang dari berbagai program studi. Data hasil wawancara dikumpulkan dan dikategorikan menurut pedoman wawancara yang ada yang disarikan dari komponen karakteristik kelas yang melakukan pembelajaran dengan paradigma spiritual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pedagogi spiritual pada pembelajaran daring dialami secara berbeda oleh mahasiswa. Sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki perspektif tidak merasakan dan mengalami pedagogi spiritual dalam pembelajaran daring yang disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran daring tersebut. Ada juga mahasiswa yang memiliki perspektif mengalami dan merasakan pedagogi spiritual dalam pembelajaran daring, sehingga dapat memberi gambaran nilai spiritual dosen yang mendasari pembelajaran tersebut. Praktik pedagogi spiritual dalam pembelajaran daring terus dicarikan bentuk yang sesuai kondisi dan kebutuhan mahasiswa.In the current pandemic era, all learning activities are carried out online with the help of electronic devices and internet networks. At times like this, can a spiritual pedagogical approach occur and be felt by students? Spiritual pedagogy is an approach to learning which put forward spiritual paradigm. This study aims to determine and describe student perspectives on spiritual pedagogy in online learning. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data was collected through structured interviews conducted on participants using WhatsApp communication media. Participants in this research were 15 Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) students in Salatiga from various study programs. Interview data were analyzed according to the existing interview guidelines which were extracted from the characteristic components of a class conducting learning with a spiritual paradigm. The results showed that the spiritual pedagogy of online learning was experienced differently by students. Most students have the perspective of not feeling and experiencing spiritual pedagogy in online learning which is caused by various factors involved in online learning. There are also students who have the perspective of feeling and experiencing spiritual pedagogy in online learning. So that it can give an idea of ​​the spiritual value of the teacher that underlies the learning. Spiritual pedagogical practice in online learning continues to look for forms that suit the conditions and needs of students.

Abstract

Mahasiswa yang mengalami keterlambatan penyelesaian studi umumnya mengalami masalah akademik. Kondisi ini berdampak terhadap harga diri yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat harga diri mahasiswa yang terlambat menyelesaikan studi di wilayah Jabodetabek. Harga diri adalah penilaian seseorang terhadap dirinya, dalam penelitian ini diukur menggunakan Roserberg self-esteem scale. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 71 orang, terdiri dari 49 mahasiswa perempuan dan 22 mahasiswa laki-laki. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat harga diri pada mahasiswa yang terlambat menyelesaikan studi di wilayah Jabodetabek berada pada kategori sedang. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut penting bagi mahasiswa untuk merencanakan kuliah dengan tepat sehingga bisa lulus tepat waktu, karena berdampak pada aspek psikologis, termasuk harga diri. Harga diri akan berdampak kepada keyakinan diri untuk melaksanakan sesuatu.Students who experience delays in completing their study generally experience academic problems which impacting their pride. This study aims to determine the level of pride of students living in the Jabodetabek area who are late in completing their study. Pride is a person's assessment of her/himself which in this research is measured using the Rosenberg self-esteem scale. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive study with 71 participants, consisting of 49 female students and 22 male students. The results showed that the level of self-esteem of students living in the Jabodetabek area who were late in completing their study was in the medium category. Based on these conditions, students are suggested to plan their study appropriately so that they can graduate on time. Unplanned study will impact psychologically, including self-esteem which will have domino effects on other psychological aspect such as self-confidence.
