Children are not only endearment but also the determinant for afterlife happiness. In addition, they are successors of the former generation, a family’s pride and evidence when humans are on the judgement day of yaumulmakhsyar. Such claims are available on holly scriptures including Al Quran. Since children are so highly valued, every single mother hopes to raise excellent children. In such perspective, pregnancy and child birth become among life cycles most paid attention to. A ritual for such event, tingkepan, is therefore, usually very well arranged to do. Parents, however, are advised to be well informed about the ritual to find bless rather than sins. They are to select values good for themselves as well as for their young such as through prayers in accordance with Islamic teaching and Javanese local wisdom. Both, Islamic teaching and Javanese local wisdom have been the worldview of Javanese ancestors who are faithful to Lord God.

IMPLEMENTATION OF INDONESIAN LEARNING STORY SKILL OF CARTOON PUPPET MEDIA OF STUDENT OF GRADE IV OF STATE PRIMARY SCHOOL Vivi Rulviana

The objective of this research is to investigate the planning and implementation telling skill the use of cartoon puppet media of the student in Grade IV of State Primary School of Tladan 2, Kawedanan, Magetan.This research used the qualitative research method. The source of this research were Principal, Class Teacher of Grade IV, and the students in Grade IV by using interview, and observation. They were analyzed by using the interactive model of analysis comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing of verification.The results of research are as follows: 1) the planning of telling by teacher with preparing the annual program, the semester program, the details of effective weeks, the journal of teaching, lesson plan, syllabus development and the development of assessment systems, 2) Implementation of the learning skills of telling is packed with a variety of methods and media puppet cartoon. Teachers began teaching with fun activities for the creation of learning readiness, motivation and interest in learning in students. Teachers utilized cartoon puppet media in learning storytelling in the fourth grade to get a great result for students for example: interested in learning, motivation, self-confidence and have the ability to tell a coherent accordance with the storyline.

The character is a distinctive personality of each individual to live and work, both in the scope of the family, community, nation and state. Arts and culture in elementary school in 2004 as a core curriculum capacity building in the field of aesthetics has a potential role to support and realize the whole Indonesian human character. This study describes the implementation and building constraints positive character of students in arts and culture in SDN Jogodayuh 1, District Geger, Madison County. This study used a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach. Triangulation of data is done by using triangulation and triangulation methods. The results of this study indicate that many of the benefits obtained by the students in the study of art and culture in primary schools include: (1) deepen wonderfully flavors, (2) knowledge of the objective and subjective elements, (3) strengthen the love for the arts and culture, (4) foster subtlety of flavor, (5) deepen the culture, (6) assess the work of art, (7) awareness on the negative effects, (8) to strengthen public confidence, (9) discipline, and (10) provide extensive insight and provision for spiritual and psychological life.

Pengembangan media flashcard tematik berbasis permainan tradisional untuk kelas IV sub tema lingkungan tempat tinggalku Rima Wulan Safitri; Cicilia Novi Primiani; Hartini Hartini

Permasalahan dalam pembelajaran tematik integratif di sekolah dasar yaitu mata pelajaran masih diajarkan secara terpisah, tidak adanya media perantara yang mendukung proses pembelajaran karena hanya terpaku pada buku pegangan dan belum dikembangkan aktivitas bermain sambil belajar. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran flashcard tematik berbasis permainan tradisional yang layak untuk pembelajaran tematik integratif kelas IV sub tema Lingkungan Tempat Tinggalku. Metode penelitian menggunakan model 4D (define, design, develop and disseminate). Media diujikan pada 20 siswa kelas IV SDN Gunungsari Madiun. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam tahap eksplorasi yaitu observasi dan wawancara, sedangkan dalam tahap pengembangan berupa angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) hasil validasi dari dua validator ahli aspek media dan materi menunjukkan bahwa media sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran, (2) hasil respon siswa skala kecil dan luas menunjukkan bahwa media sangat layak dengan persentase 100% dan (3) hasil belajar sebelum dan setelah diberi perlakuan menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan, uji hipotesis pembelajaran 2 diperoleh thitung = 8,376 > ttabel =2,093, dalam pembelajaran 5 diperoleh =7,264 > =2,093. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran flashcardtematik berbasis permainan tradisional sangat layak digunakan untuk kelas IV sub tema Lingkungan Tempat Tinggalku.

Teaching supervision may aim to create a better learning atmosphere, guide teachers’ teaching experience, and help the teacher assess their students. A supervisor motivation to teachers can improve their commitment. There are approaches to supervision and dimensions to classify teachers to help supervisors select the approach to adopt. Among the approaches are the clinic, directive, non-directive, collaborative, informal, collegial, and individual related to teacher dimensions such as extent of attention, responsibility, maturity, and cognitive complexity of the teachers which ease to choose recommended approaches to apply in the supervising.

In a cooperative learning model, students tasked to construct their own knowledgeunder the guidance of a teacher who acts as a facilitator and mediator. Onemodel of a cooperative learning is Group Investigation (GI). In its application,found the problem that made the implementation of classroom teaching andlearning process is less than optimal. One of the problems that occur are not theevaluation in step group. By reviewing the existing theories and facts that arerunning in the field, has found a solution to these problems, resulting inimprovements in learning steps GI.

This article is a theoretical study on the implementation of a pragmatic approach in learning speaking skills at school. Pragmatic approach is one of learning approaches that aims to train students to improve their speaking skills at school. This approach focuses on contextual learning speaking skills, particularly in the process of learning at school. Through this approach, students will be brought closer to practical conditions of speaking both orally and in writing. Thus, the learning skills of speaking with a pragmatic approach are very effective in creating active learning, especially in improving their speaking ability in the classroom and outside the classroom. Penelitian ini didasari fakta bahwa siswa kelas V SDN Pulerejo jarang melakukan percobaan sehingga hasil belajar IPA rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran CLIS berbantuan media slide powerpoint terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SDN Pulerejo. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode Quasy Eksperimental Design dan desain penelitian posttest only control design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SDN Pulerejo dengan sampel 22 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 20 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Sampel ditentukan menggunakan simple random sampling dengan teknik lotre. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan metode statistik rumus uji-t dengan taraf signifikan 5% dan dk=40. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel=2,340>1,68385 sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima dan nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen 82,36 lebih besar dari kelas kontrol 74,20. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada efektivitas model pembelajaran CLIS berbantuan media slide powerpoint terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SDN Pulerejo Kecamatan Pilangkenceng Kabupaten Madiun Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017.

Parents are obliged to take care of their children’s future, especially by rendering sufficient education. Children are believed to bring about happiness every now and then, who generate family’s pride up to the almighty judication. Some people are save and some are not in that court, where children will give sigificant contribution in it. That’s why the children’s well being has become the parents obligation. To bring about children’s well being, parents should also render the good treatments during the life cycle of their children. The main duties of parents for their children are giving them the good names, sending them to the good schools where they can learn religion, and marry them to their good spouses. Psychologically, when children are sent to school for the first time, they will feel that they are put apart from parents’ care, so that may of them have to go difficult phase of adjustment. The adjustment includes that of education so as to run as naturally as possible. To get the naturality of the education delegation, teachers and educators are obliged to be able to nurture any value to students as naturally as possible. Parenting model of teaching serves the requirements of teaching children just the way the parrents do, so that it is assumptively effective in teaching elementary students by taking consideration on the psychologial aspect of children. PENGEMBANGAN BUKU AJAR BERORIENTASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER PADA MATA KULIAH PEMBELAJARAN PKn SD DI PROGRAM STUDI S1 PGSD Widya Trio Pangestu

Textbooks have become the main element of teaching and learning process. Studies have been conducted to develop instructional materials for the subject of PKn SD at Elementary School Teacher Training Study Program, but there is still limited textbooks with character content, when character have been debating recently. This research is attempetd to develop textbook of PKn SD with character content, by measuring students’ activity, achievement and response. This research is cunducted by class evaluation research method by applying 4-D model. The subjects of the research are 20 students of 5D and 20 of 5I, PGSD-IKIP PGRI Madiun. The results of the research shows that: the learning activity is good by 77.6% of sctive students; 95% of students achieve threshold level by 80.75; textbook is suitable used in average 83.2% and have positive response against the textbook.
