Abstract

The shift in the values of life in a society increasingly fades and is inevitable from other cultural influences especially for students who are in transition looking for their identity. This create problem for the community itself and in the end, the traditional values were neglected. Such problems can actually be minimized if we can learn from history. Therefore, this research was conducted by reading and interpreting the poem "Padamu Jua" by Amir Hamzah by using a hermeneutic approach. The renewal lies in the method approach used in analyzing each paragraph of poetry by looking at and exploring the history of the author. Interpretation is conducted through a literature review of the life journey of Amir Hamzah at the time of writing the poem. The results of the research of hermeneutics in the poetry text can be concluded to tell about the inner upheaval between tradition and the principle of life. The meaning of this poem can be a lesson (advice) for everyone, especially for those who are learning to be careful, not wrong in making decisions. Each region has its own traditions and culture that cannot be violated by the community. Situations, upheaval, and feelings kept in the heart may not change the sense of compliance with parents.

Abstract

This study is aimed at analyzing the social criticism conveyed in the song “Moncik Badasi” (white collar rat- like corruptor). The writer used semantic and communicative methods in translating the song lyrics into Indonesian. The former method is the main priority so as the song writer’s typical characteristics are conserved. The later method is used in case of getting difficulty in translating local language words, phrases, and sentences into Indonesian by using the former one. The study shows that “Moncik Badasi” song conveys social criticism toward the formal leaders, the law personnels (police and justice), and society leaders. The song writer delivered his critics politely in the song. The lyrics do not only criticize certain parties, but also appreciate the government accomplished programs and give solution so as the existing problems in community and nation could be solved. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerjemahkan dan mendeskripsikan kritik sosial yang terdapat dalam lagu “Moncik Badasi”. Penulis menggunakan metode semantis dan komunikatif untuk menerjemahkan lirik lagu tersebut ke bahasa Indonesia. Penggunaan metode semantis menjadi prioritas utama penulis agar ciri khas penulis lagu tetap terjaga. Metode komunikatif digunakan jika terdapat kesulitan menerjemahkan kata, frasa dan kalimat dari bahasa daerah tersebut ke bahasa Indonesia jika menggunakan metode semantis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa lagu “Moncik Badasi” menyuarakan kritik sosial terhadap para pemimpin, penegak hukum (polisi dan hakim), serta ninik mamak. Penulis lagu menyuarakan kritiknya dengan santun dalam lagu “Moncik Badasi” tersebut. Lirik lagu “Moncik Badasi” tidak hanya menyuarakan kritik terhadap pihak-pihak tersebut, tetapi juga memberi apresiasi terhadap program yang telah dilaksanakan oleh pemerintah serta memberi solusi agar masalah yang ada dalam masyarakat dan bangsa Indonesia dapat teratasi.

Abstract

Indonesian language (IN) is one of the obligatory lessons in Senior High School. The learning of Indonesian language is pointed to the increasing ability of students. This aim to increase students ability to communicate in Indonesian language well and properly. The communication ability is expected especially in oral and written. Besides, students are hoped to be able to appreciate literary works. The objective of this research is to identify and to describe the implementation of role play method in the efforts to increase the activity of Indonesian language learning in speaking aspects and to identify and to get the description whether  the implementation of the method can increase process and result speaking aspect of Indonesian language learning of students class XI IPS 1, Semester 1, SMAN 3 Bengkalis. The method used was classroom action method and the subject was class XII IPS 1, semester 1, SMAN 3 Bengkalis. The collection of data and information were carried out by observation, journal and document study. The result of the research showed that (1) The implementation of of role play method can increase the activities of speaking aspects in  Indonesian language  learning. On the  1st cycle1, 1st meeting, the percentage of students activities was 73% with the good category (3,6), while on the second meeting, it was 82% with the very good category (3,7). On the first meeting of the second cycle, the percentage of students activities became 83% with the very good category (4,3), while on the second meeting was 96% with the very good category (5,0), (2) The implementation of role play method is able to increase the result of speaking aspect in learning Indonesian language. On the first cycle, the students reserved effort was 73% while on the second cycle was 77%. Meanwhile, based on attachment 3, the classical completeness on cycle 1 reached 86%, on cycle 2, it increased 96%. Based on the result of the research, the researcher proposed that it would be better for the Indonesian language teachers to implement role play method for the materials that are suitable with speaking aspects. The reason is that this method is proved to be able to increase the process and result of students learning. When implementing this method, teachers are hoped to give guidance, motivation, and explanation that more focused so that students can learn optimally.

Abstract

This article describes about the figure of children world in a short story “Anggrek Rara” written by Ina Inong, by connecting the social structure in the text and in the real life. After analyzing the social structure in the story, it is found that the plot of this story was the progressive plot, the background was from the social fact that came from inner house and outer house, otherwise the central character were Rara and Bunda. By analyzing social structure of  text, it was found that a family (home) is the serious and formal environment while outer house is free and non formal. The result of the research showed that the children short story “ Anggrek Rara” was expected to give the figure outlines of the children world. Penelitian ini membahas tentang gambaran dunia anak dalam cerita pendek anak “Anggrek Rara” karya Ina Inong dengan menghubungkan struktur sosial teks dalam karya dan struktur sosial teks dengan realitas. Melalui analisis struktur sosial dalam karya terungkap bahwa alur cerita ini merupakan alur lurus, latar terdiri dari fakta sosial yang bersumber dari rumah dan di luar rumah, sedangkan tokoh Rara dan Bunda adalah tokoh sentral. Melalui analisis struktur sosial teks dengan realitas terungkap bahwa keluarga (rumah) merupakan lingkungan yang sifatnya serius dan formal, sedangkan di luar rumah bahkan bersifat bebas dan non formal. Hasil yang diperoleh dari analisis ini menunjukkan bahwa cerita pendek anak “Anggrek Rara” dianggap mampu memberikan garis-garis besar gambaran kehidupan dunia anak.

Abstract

In the background of Malay community, poem is not the only entertaiment media but it is also an effort of contiuning regional culture to grasp moral-historical messages implied in the form and cultural values of the text of the poem.This research is an analyses  of structural  work of traditional Malay poem toward the use of line pattern and cultural values of text of Kesultanan Siak poem. This is a descriptive research with a content analyses  approach wich is analyszed in the point of view of form related to the use of the number of word order and syllables in the line pattern of the poem text while the cultural values related to the culture of Riau. Regional Malay implies religiosity customary values and the values of  tradition. Dalam latar belakang masyarakat Melayu, puisi bukan satu-satunya media hiburan tetapi juga merupakan salah satu upaya dalam mengembangkan kebudayaan daerah untuk mengambil pesan-pesan moral-sejarah yang tersirat dalam bentuk dan nilai budaya teks puisi. Penelitian ini adalah analisis struktur karya sastra dari puisi tradisional Melayu terhadap penggunaan pola baris dan nilai-nilai budaya teks puisi Kesultanan Siak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis konten  dalam sudut pandang bentuk yang berkaitan dengan penggunaan jumlah urutan kata dan suku kata dalam pola baris teks puisi sementara nilai-nilai budaya adalah yang terkait dengan budaya Riau. Daerah Melayu menyiratkan religiositas nilai-nilai adat, keagamaan, dan tradisi.

Abstract

Balinese, the indigenous language of Bali, is taught as a local content subject at schools (especially at primary schools) in Bali. Since, it is being part of educational curriculum, Balinese is not only learned by it’s native speaker students but also learned by multicultural and multilingual students,particularly in cities. In fact, the Balinese is not very attractive to non-native students because it is not the first nor the second language of them and it is not play any important roles in their daily life. This tendency cause the students show a lower competence in Balinese subject. In order to improve the students competence in Balinese subject, especially communicative competence, it is deemed to suggest a method of recreational learning process that make students have an interest to the subject and enjoy the learning process of the subject so that they are motivated to learn the subject as well as to succed in it. This article proposes the importance of recreational learning method, in this matter, learning by using story completed with role play, learning by using songs and music, and learning by doing group activities and games. This model is also effective to improve children’s characters. Bahasa Bali, yang merupakan bahasa penduduk asli Bali, diajarkan di sekolah-sekolah (terutama sekolah dasar) di Bali sebagai muatan lokal1. Karena menjadi bagian dari kurikulum pendidikan, pelajaran bahasa Bali juga dipelajari oleh para siswa multikultural dan multilingual, terutama di daerah perkotaan. Pembelajaran bahasa Bali umumnya kurang diminati oleh siswa non-penutur bahasa Bali karena, pertama, bahasa Bali bukan merupakan bahasa pertama dan kedua, bahasa Bali tidak terlalu menjadi tuntutan dalam kehidupan mereka. Ketiadaan minat itu berujung pada kurangnya kompetensi berbahasa Bali siswa. Untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa, khususnya kompetensi komunikatifnya, dipandang perlu menggagas proses pembelajaran yang rekreatif, yang membuat siswa tertarik dan menikmati proses pembelajaran sehingga mereka termotivasi untuk belajar dengan baik dan berhasil baik. Tulisan ini mengetengahkan pentingnya metode pembelajaran yang bersifat rekreatif, dalam hal ini pembelajaran melalui cerita, lengkap dengan bermain peran, pembelajaran melalui lagu dan musik, dan pembelajaran melalui aktivitas kelompok dan permainan. Model ini juga sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan karakter anak.

Abstract

To commemorate the 21st century, a new learning model was designed in 2013 curriculum, in which there is a shift from  teachers give knowledge to students  become  student must actively seek out knowledge from a variety of learning resources. In this case, the teacher acts as  facilitators. Thus, language is a very central role, because the language should be in front of all other subjects. Curriculum 2013 imposed a thematic integrated learning which is no longer based subjects. Various subjects for primary schools (such as: Religion, Civics, Indonesian, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and so on) are integrated into one book. The subject matter is not presented in textbook, but it presented in book thematics lesson, the themes are about nature, social life and culture. In this new curriculum, learning process is implemented by applying a scientific approach (observing, questioning, experimenting, associating, and networking) that includes three aspects such as  attitudes, knowledge, and skills. So, how is the role of Indonesian in an integrated thematic learning by applying  scientific approaches in primary schools in 2013 curriculum? By appying the method, the object of this paper is to gain preview about the role of Indonesian in 2013 curriculum that uses integrated thematic learning by scientific approach in primary schools. Untuk menyongsong abad ke-21, model pembelajaran baru dirancang dalam Kurikulum 2013, yang di dalamnya terdapat pergeseran dari siswa diberi tahu menjadi siswa harus aktif mencari tahu ilmu pengetahuan dari berbagai sumber belajar. Dalam hal ini, guru berperan sebagai fasilitator. Dengan demikian, peran bahasa menjadi sangat sentral, karena bahasa harus berada di depan semua mata pelajaran lain. Kurikulum 2013 memberlakukan pembelajaran tematik terpadu yang tidak lagi berbasis mata pelajaran. Berbagai mata pelajaran untuk sekolah dasar (seperti: Agama, PPKN, Bahasa Indonesia, Matematika, IPA, IPS, dan sebagainya) diintegrasi menjadi satu buku. Materi pelajaran tidak disajikan dalam buku mata pelajaran, tetapi dalam buku tema pelajaran, baik tema alam, sosial, maupun budaya. Proses pembelajaran dalam kurikulum baru ini diimplementasikan melalui pendekatan saintifik (mengamati, menanya, menalar, mencoba, dan mengomunikasikan) yang mencakup tiga aspek, yaitu sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan. Lalu, bagaimana peran bahasa Indonesia dalam pembelajaran tematik terpadu melalui pendekatan saintifik di sekolah dasar pada Kurikulum 2013 ini? Melalui metode deskriptif, yang menjadi tujuan penulisan ini adalah mendapatkan gambaran mengenai peran bahasa Indonesia dalam Kurikulum 2013 yang menggunakan pembelajaran tematik terpadu melalui pendekatan saintifik di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study was based on the assumptions that every literary work is the picture of existing reality. This study was conducted to describe the existence of cultural social background in a literary work and to add the information about the society of Tionghoa descendence as part of Indonesian society. The method applied in this study was descriptive method by using literary sociological approach. The findings of this study showed that the Ca Bau Kan novel describe the life attitudes of Tionghoa descendence in general. The positive attitudes they had were (1) They appreciated time and money very much; and (2) They were good sport when they wanted to attack their enemies. On the other hand, the negative attitudes they had were (1) They would do everything to solve their problems; (2) They liked to “take care of” other women; and (3) They did not have high nationality in a country where they earn livelihood for life.

Abstract

This study is based on the assumption that by reading literary works, we can enjoy a culture of a society. By discussing the elements of mythology stories Wewe Merantas Gunung, it is expected to be able to understand what the source of mythology of the story is. It includes four elements of understanding such as the types, characters, functions, and methods of telling the story. The result of the study showed that the source of mythology of the environment of Besemah society itself is hilly. This kind of mythology is a myth that the story is considered really existed by the community, even it is considered to be the taboo matter. The main character is Wewe while the subordinate characters are is the old brother and the middle brother. Mythology has functions as moral controlling and as reminder something and the method of story telling is narrative, the story telling is expressed by the author completely.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan kemampuan mendengar Tifa berdasar hasil pemeriksaan oleh PT Kasoem Hearing, menggunakan Brainsteam Evoked Response Audiometry (BERA) dan Otoacoustic Emission (OAE). Menjelaskan  kemampuan verbal Tifa menggunakan teori  kesalahan fonologi oleh Blumstein digunakan untuk menjelaskan bentuk-bentuk perubahan fonologis yang diujarkan oleh Tifa, teori pengelompokan kelas kata pada tataran morfologi,  serta untuk mengetahui  kemampuan sintaksis Tifa  menggunakan teori  yang dikemukakan Kridalaksana. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus pada salah satu pasien auditory agnosia Poliklinik  THT RSUP M. Djamil Padang. Metode dan teknik yang digunakan terdiri atas: metode simak untuk tahap pengumpulan data dengan teknik sadap sebagai teknik dasar dan teknik lanjutan simak libat cakap (SLC), simak bebas libat cakap (SBLC), catat, dan rekam. Metode  padan artikulatoris  untuk tahap analisis data, dan metode penyajian formal dan informal untuk tahap penyajian hasil analisis data. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berbentuk lisan yang diambil dari ujaran penderita auditory agnosia, yaitu Tifa. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa derajat kemampuan mendengar Tifa berada pada kategori sedang berat dengan ambang pendengaran 60—70dB. Kesalahan fonologis terdiri atas penggantian, penghilangan, penambahan, dan ketidakteraturan bunyi. Tataran kelas kata yang paling dipahami anak adalah hal-hal yang paling dekat dengannya  dan berada dekat di lingkungan sekitarnya. Kemapuan anak pada tataran kalimat, Tifa bisa melafalkan struktur kalimat lengkap, tetapi cenderung terbolakbalik antara unsur objek yang selalu mendahului predikat.
