Abstract

This research is motivated by hoping all people for a fair, wise and democratic leader. The purpose of this study to find out whether the adoption of a democratic leadership style that can increase the work motivation of South OKU Regency Education of employees. This study uses a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques namely interviews, observation, and documentation. Data was obtained from the Head of Middle School Development, Head of Sub-Division of Staffing, Staff of the Education Office, and two headmasters of South OKU District. The results of the study at the South OKU Regency Education Office are visible in the atmosphere of family and happiness in the workplace. Rarely employees who leave work hours for a long time, even though the leader is not in the office.The employees  work  energetically  and  without  pressure.  One  of  the  triggers  for increasing  the  motivation  of  employee  working  in  the  South  OKU  Regency Education Office is the leadership style is very democratic. Where, in this case the head of the South OKU Regency Education Agency treats all employees as families not as superiors and subordinates. Tolerance and high respect for all employees make them feel valuable, and trigger for employees to improve the quality of their work.

Abstract

Abstract. The aim of this study is to enhance student learning outcomes through group investigation method based on self study. This study is a quasy experimental with factorial design, the object of study is all students of class XII SMK Azzahro’ Palembang. The instrument of study is a questionnaire and test. Data analysis technique used two-way ANOVA with SPSS. Analysis result showed that learning group investigation method has significant effect towards student learning outcomes and students’ self study has significant effect toward student learning outcomes. The learning outcomes of students who have high category of self study is better enhanced compared with students who have medium and low category of self study during the application of group investigation method. Key Words: Learning outcomes, Group Investigation Method, Self Study Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan metode investigasi kelompok berdasarkan kemandirian belajar. Peneltian ini merupakan studi kuasi eksperimen dengan desain faktorial, objek penelitian ialah selurus siswa kelas XII SMK Azzahro’ Palembang, instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket dan tes, teknik analisis data menggunakanANOVA dua jalur berbantu SPSS. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa metode investigasi kelompok berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar dan kemamndirian belajar juga berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar, hasil belajar siswa dengan katagori kemandirian belajar tinggi lebih baik dibandingkan hasil belajar siswa dengan katagori kemandirian belajar sedang dan rendah seiring dengan penerapan metode investigasi kelompok Kata Kunci: Hasil belajar, Metode Investigasi Kelompok, Kemandirian Belajar

Abstract

Abstrak—This study aims to determine the suitability of (1) quality planning, (2) quality improvement, (3) quality control, and (4) quality assurance in higher education quality assurance programs in SD Negeri 1 Prabumulih City. The evaluation approach used in this study is an objective oriented evaluation model, with a qualitative evaluation method. This research focuses on the compatibility between program objectives and their actual results. The evaluation results show that the implementation of quality assurance in SD Negeri 1 Prabumulih City has been carried out since 2001 until now has been going well. However, there are several problems that must be resolved, so that the implementation of quality assurance in SD Negeri 1 Prabumulih City will be better so that the goal of implementing quality assurance in SD Negeri 1 Prabumulih is immediately achieved.                                                                                                 Keywords — Quality assurance, object-oriented evaluation model, qualitative evaluation methods. Abstract—Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian (1) perencanaan mutu, (2) peningkatan kualitas, (3) kendali mutu, dan (4) penjaminan mutu pada program penjaminan mutu pendidikan tinggi di SD Negeri 1 Kota Prabumulih. Pendekatan evaluasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model evaluasi berorientasi objektif, dengan metode evaluasi kualitatif. Penelitian ini fokus pada kesesuaian antara tujuan program dan hasil aktualnya. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa penerapan penjaminan mutu di SD Negeri 1 Kota Prabumulih telah dilaksanakan sejak tahun 2001 hingga sekarang telah berjalan dengan baik. Namun ada beberapa masalah yang harus diselesaikan, sehingga implementasi penjaminan mutu di SD Negeri 1 Kota Prabumulih akan lebih baik sehingga tujuan pelaksanaan penjaminan mutu di SD Negeri 1 Kota Prabumulih segera tercapai. Kata Kunci — Jaminan kualitas, model evaluasi berorientasi objek, metode evaluasi kualitatif.

Abstract

Mathematics can be represented by many forms such as symbolical, verbal, graphical, or tabular representations. To understand mathematics concepts is by connecting or translating all kind of mathematics representations. Therefore, mathematics teachers should facilitate students to translation all kind of mathematics representations. This article discusses the research results which investigated how mathematics teachers implement their teaching which facilitate students to translation mathematics representations. Data were collected by questionnaire, documentation, and observation. Sample of the research were 91 mathematics teachers of junior and senior high schools from some regions of South Sumatera and Bangka Belitung. The research results show that mathematics teachers have already implemented mathematics representation properly, however representations used by the teachers were not variably, which means translations between representations were not implemented yet. By comparing all mathematics representations, the symbolical representation was the most frequently used in teaching and learning. Mathematics teachers whom did not or poorly implemented mathematics representations in their teaching considered the national examination not requiring variation of the representations.

Abstract

Universities carry out the function of tridharma: education and teaching, research, and community service. The three dharma are interrelated, among others, the first dharma (education: theoretical) and second (research: innovation) must concretely support the third dharma (devotion: transformation). The research was conducted not only for the sake of the research itself, credit numbers, promotion, money. In carrying out the research contained an important mission, namely for the benefit of society. That is, the community remains a focus, especially in social research. So, the results and findings of the research must have a "back-flow" to the community. Research must be followed up with community service that is in the interests of the community. Research must have a positive impact on society; the community is not just a respondent. Types of research vary: basic, development, survey, exploration, applicative, and others. Not all results and research findings can be followed up with community service. However, there are also a number of results of research that can be continued to the community service action. Research to produce findings that have empirical truth values can be accounted for. If this is community service, the quality of the community service will also increase, meaning that the impact on the target audience is more efficient. Universities donations to the community through community service are also more significant. Universities is no longer exclusive: untouched and unwilling to touch and the community feels closer and has a universities.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to analyze Kolb-Knisley model to the students' reasoning ability of SMP. This research is library litelatur so that the data collection method used is documentation, that is, to track the written source which contains the theme and topic to be discussed. This research type is qualitative , furthermore this research is done by seeing and connecting which characteristic of indicator of mathematical reasoning ability with characteristic of Kolb-Knisley model itself. From the results of research litelatur data can be concluded that the mathematical reasoning ability of students who learn with Kolb-Knisley model better than students who learn with conventional strategies in junior high school students. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis model  Kolb- Knisley terhadap kemampuan penalaran siswa SMP.penelitian ini adalah litelatur perpustakaan sehingga metode pengumpulan data yang di gunakan adalah dokumentasi, yaitu melacak sumber tertulis yang berisikan tema dan topik yang akan di bahas jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, selanjutnya penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara melihat dan menghubungkan yang menjadi ciri khas dari indikator kemampuan penalaran matematis dengan karakteristik model Kolb- Knisley itu sendiri. Dari hasil penelitian litelatur data dapat di simpulkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang belajar dengan model  Kolb- Knisley lebih baik di bandingkan siswa yang belajar dengan strategi konvensional pada siswa SMP. Kata kunci: Kolb Knisley, kemampuan penalaran

Abstract

Abstract — Facts based on the results of the initial dialogue with grade 6 teachers and observations, at SDN 13 Muara Telang show that the quality of the learning process in the classroom is still not optimal both in terms of students, teachers, media and learning methods. Teachers still tend to use the lecture method in delivering subject matter without adequate support. Students also tend to be passive in learning activities and there is no active role of students in educational interactions in class, students only act as objects in learning and sometimes even reluctant and indifferent in following the learning process. As a result of the lack of optimal learning process is the understanding of student concepts that tend to be low. Therefore the teacher uses PowerPoint as a medium that is combined with realistic mathematics education (RME) learning. If you pay attention to the level of student understanding and student interest in mathematics tends to be low. Out of 30 6th grade students, only 25% can attend math material, 25% lack enthusiasm, and 50% look indifferent and tend to make noise. By looking at the results of the assessment it was true that student learning outcomes are still below the Minimum Mastery Keriteria standards.Keywords— powerpoint, realistic mathematics education, Student Understanding  Abstrak— Fakta berdasarkan hasil dialog awal dengan guru kelas 6 dan observasi, di SDN 13 Muara Telang menunjukkan bahwa kualitas proses pembelajaran di kelas masih kurang optimal baik dari segi siswa, guru, media maupun metode pembelajaran. Guru masih cenderung menggunakan metode ceramah dalam menyampaikan materi pelajaran tanpa adanya dukungan yang memadai. Siswa juga cenderung pesif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan belum ada peran aktif siswa dalam interaksi edukatif dikelas, siswa hanya bertindak sebagai obyek dalam pembelajaran bahkan terkadang enggan dan acuh dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Akibat kurang optimalnya proses pembelajaran ini adalah pemahaman konsep siswa yang cenderung rendah. Oleh karena itu guru menggunakan media PowerPoint sebagai media yang dipadukan dengan pembelajaran realistic mathematics education (RME). Jika diperhatikan tingkat pemahaman siswa dan ketertarikan siswa terhadap matematika cenderung rendah. Dari 30 siswa kelas 6 hanya 25% yang dapat mengikuti materi matematika, 25% kurang bersemangat, dan 50% terlihat acuh dan cenderung membuat kegaduhan. Dengan melihat hasil penilaian ternyata memang benar hasil belajar siswa masih di bawah standar KKM.Kata Kunci— powerpoint, realistic mathematics education, Pemahaman Siswa

Abstract

One category in the scope of the science process is the category using scientific evidence. The purpose of this science literacy test is to know the extent to which students' literacy skills. The test was conducted on September 11, 2017. Respondents were Physics students who took Basic Chemistry course in the first semester. The highest student grade score was 56.5, the lowest was 17.4 with the average of 35.3 points. The results showed that the ability to use scientific evidence of students in the low category.

Improving reading skills for children is needed as a basis for future children's learning. Problems that occur are the low interest of children in reading often occurs in the learning process. For this reason, we need Medtode Innovation and Learning Media in education. The use of Visual Media as a method of improving children's reading skills is one way. Abstract

This research aimed at (1) evaluating the achievement of character education programs at the primary school level; (2) provide recommendations to both teachers, schools, and the government to improve character education programs. The method used is program evaluation (formative evaluation) with a qualitative approach. Research subjects at SDN 22 Rimau Island Data were analyzed using Milles & Huberman data analysis including; data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The conclusion of this study is; (1) readiness of primary schools in SDN 22 Pulau Rimau to implement character education, both assessed from curricula that have integrated character education, but are still lacking in the management of supporting infrastructure; (2) the implementation of character education has not been seen in learning activities; (3) support from the government to socialize or provide training is felt to be lacking by schools; (4) monitoring and evaluation of character education is still limited to the curriculum and carried out through supervision of supervisors in each school; and (5) constraints faced by schools are the assessment of undocumented student attitudes, teachers lack understanding to implement character education, and the absence of synergy between education in schools and education at home.
