Abstract

This qualitative research was conducted in order to evaluate the implementation of character values in the English language instructional activities at SMP Negeri 6 Palembang.The subjects of the research were the seventh grade students and the English teacher. The researcher analyzed the lesson plans and the implementation to investigate how character values were inserted in teaching of the four basic skills in English. The character values included to be observed in this study were about religous behaviour, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard working, creativity, independence, democracy, curiousity, patriotism, appreciation towards achievement, courteous/communicative ability, love peace, love reading, conservation, social care, logical thinking,and responsibility. The instrument of the study consisted of field notes, and interview guide. The analysis indicated that the teacher did not explicitly insert the character values into theindicators and assessment instrument. However, some values were reflected in the teaching and learning activities, and in the implementationof teaching the four skills in the classroom. Character values in learning only becomes a mere discourse will not work because there no continuity and harmoniation betwee students, teachers, schools and students’ parent.

Abstract

This study originated from an unfavorable increase in students. This research is a descriptive research which is a research method designed to describe the events that exist and are still ongoing until now or at the present time. Suggestions used in this study are qualitative to discuss social phenomena from the perspective of participants. Thus, this qualitative research is research that is used to examine natural tourism objects where researchers are key instruments that collect qualitative data, namely 1). interview, 2). observation, 3). documentation, and 4). focused discussion (Focus Group Discussion). With the existence of this study, the poor teacher research after supervision by the school principal has increased and it is better to positively improve students and teaching and learning activities in schools can go according to the intended goals.

Abstract

Abstract—The purpose of this research is to know whether or not the effect of means ends analysis model on students problem solving ability on the material of two linear equation system in SMAN 1 Tungkal Ilir with two linear equations system. Learning is a process of developing the potential and character development of each learner as a result of the synergy between education going on in school, family, and society. In line with the development of Curriculum 2013, in the learning process students are required to be active, creative, and innovative and expected learning process the teacher centered teacher will turn into student centered learning. Based on the above problems it is necessary to model the learning that can be a new alternative to overcome the above problem is Model Means Ends Analysis is a model of learning variation of the method of learning problem solving with syntax: serve materials with heuristic-based problem-solving approach, elaboration into sub- simpler, and students are given an active role in learning to achieve the ultimate goal of a lesson and in learning with Means Ends Analysisini model students are not only judged on the results of the work, but also judged on the process pengerjaanya. Keywords— student problem solving, Means Ends Analysis model. Abstrak— Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh model means ends analysis terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel di SMAN 1 Tungkal Ilir, dengan materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Pembelajaran merupakan suatu proses penegembangan potensi dan pembangunan karakter setiap peserta didik sebagai hasil dari sinergi antara pendidikan yang berlangsung disekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat.Sejalan dengan perkembangan Kurikulum 2013 maka dalam proses pembelajaran siswa dituntut untuk bersikap aktif, kreatif, dan inovatif dan diharapkan proses pembelajaran yang mulanya berpusat pada guru (teacher centered) akan berubah menjadi pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa (student centered). Berdasarkan permasalahan diatas maka diperlukan model pembelajaran yang dapat menjadi alternatif baru untuk mengatasi masalah diatas yaitu Model Means Ends Analysis yaitu suatu model pembelajaran variasi dari metode pembelajaran pemecahan masalah dengan sintaks: sajikan materi dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah berbasis heuristik, elaborasi menjadi sub-sub masalah yang lebih sederhana, dan siswa diberikan peran aktif didalam pembelajaran  untuk mencapai tujuan akhir dari suatu pembelajaran dan dalam pembelajaran dengan model Means Ends Analysisini siswa tidak hanya dinilai pada hasil pengerjaannya, namun juga dinilai pada proses pengerjaanya. Kata Kunci— pemecahan masalah siswa, model Means Ends Analysis.

Abstract

Abstract–This research is based on the study of literature which contains a new paradigm of disruptive era education towards society 5.0. This study aims to examine the new paradigm of disruptive era education towards society 5.0 to face the demands of the times that almost all involve information technology. The design of this research is qualitative using library research methods. The data analysis technique used is content analysis. Towards a new paradigm of a disruptive era, education towards community 5.0 requires clear and concrete regulation so that it does not cause multiple interpretations in implementing it. This certainly will involve various scientific fields to design the new paradigm. In the 2013 curriculum, it is very clear that it puts forward character education. Thus, to achieve educational goals, it must involve various components of education. Like students, educators, curriculum, facilities, teaching-learning process, learning media, government.Keywords– Education Paradigm, Disruptive Era, Society 5.0 Abstrak– Penelitian ini berbasis pada kajian kepustakaan yang di dalamnya berisikan tentang paradigma baru pendidikan era disruptif menuju masyarakat 5.0. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji paradigma baru pendidikan era disruptif menuju masyarakat 5.0 guna menghadapi tuntutan perkembangan zaman yang hampir semuanya melibatkan teknologi informatika. Desain penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan. Teknis analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis isi. Menuju paradigma baru pendidikan era disruptif menuju masyarakat 5.0 membutuhkan regulasi yang jelas dan konkret sehingga tidak menimbulkan multi tafsir dalam mengimplementasikannya. Hal ini tentu akan melibatkan berbagai bidang keilmuan untuk merancang paradigma baru tersebut. Dalam kurikulum 2013 sangat jelas yakni mengedepankan pendidikan karakter. Dengan demikian, untuk tercapainya tujuan pendidikan maka harus melibatkan berbagai komponen pendidikan. Seperti halnya peserta didik, pendidik, kurikulum, sarana-prasarana, proses belajar-mengajar, media belajar, pemerintah.Kata Kunci– Paradigma Pendidikan, Era Disruptif, Masyarakat 5.0

Abstract

This study discusses the ecosystem cultural issues and their potential for environmentally sound development in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Two entities that need to be separated are the epistemological concept of culture and the concept of the state as an organization based on the law (constitution). These two entities are related, and will be explained and made into a conceptual foundation. Basically, communities in Indonesia have local ecosystem wisdom and intelligence as part of cultural system. The conception of local wisdom and intelligence they build is framed in harmony with the natural environment in which they live. Establishment of ecosystem values or norms into culture or tradition has close ties to nature as a source of economy - social welfare. Therefore, the alignment of the environment with the production process (economy) as well as other possibilities in the context of comfort, security, and even religion should be a calculation in taking policy. In certain contexts, sometimes it becomes preserved and even developed into a resource (potential) of development based on cultural sustainability. Keywords— Ecosystem culture, development, environmental sustainability

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to provide an explanation of the constraints of using technology as a medium of learning in Gelumbang 4 Middle School. The informants in this study included teachers of Gelumbang 4 Middle School, headmaster or vice principal and several students through observation techniques, and interviews. The results of this study indicate that the constraints in the use of learning media technology in Gelumbang Public Middle School are as follows: (1) the lack of media available in school; (2) teacher limitations in using technology as a learning medium; (3) unavailability of time for making learning media; and (4) There are some teachers who do not understand the function of media learning.

Abstract

This journal explained how to improve language comprehension through literacy education at SD Negeri 9 Pulau Rimau school or often called the School Literacy Movement (GLS). The School Literacy Program is designed using the Read-Summarize-Tell-Share method. The subjects of this study were all students including low class (1, 2 and 3) and high class (grades 4, 5 and 6), educators (teachers), education staff, principals, and librarians. This research is carried out in accordance with the stages of development of students based on their characteristics; 1) implemented in a balanced manner; 2) use a variety of texts and pay attention to student needs; takes place in an integrated and holistic manner in all curriculum areas; 3) carried out continuously; 4) involves oral communication skills; 5) consider the diversity and conditions of the school. The results of this study students to understand the language properly and correctly.

Abstract

Teacher professionalism refers to abilities in pedagogical, personal, social and professional competencies. Teacher professionalism is now increasingly challenged in improving the quality of education in Indonesia, which is still inferior to neighboring countries. The era of industrial revolution 4.0 makes teachers have to prepare themselves to face this challenge, education and learning are demanded to change. This study is about professional teachers in PAUD Melati Terpadu in education in the industrial revolution era 4.0 which aims to determine teacher professional competence in the future. This study uses qualitative methods with field research. Data is taken by making observations directly to the object of research. The results of this study are descriptions of the implementation of PAUD Melati Terpadu learning by teachers to improve the quality of early childhood education.

Abstract

The city of Palembang is one of the big cities in Indonesia which is also the capital of South Sumatra province. Palembang is the second largest city in Sumatra after Medan. In addition to continuing to work on major infrastructure projects for the 2018 Asian Games, local governments are also building supporting infrastructure for comfort and attract guests or tourists when stopping in Palembang. One of the projects is the revitalization of the pedestrian line at Jalan Jenderal Sudirman. Utilization of pedestrian road General Sudirman is the greatest opportunity for the community, especially for art and cultural actors in the city of Palembang who want to take advantage of pedestrian paths to explore the potential of the region in accordance with local wisdom owned by each region. In this study the researchers examine the potential of local wisdom of South Sumatra through the perestrian of Jalan Jendral Sudirman Palembang. The object of this research is the people of South Sumatra who are domiciled in Palembang. Data analysis in this research is done by observation and documentation. The conclusion of this research is that with the pedestrian of Jendral Sudirman, the public must use the pekuang to show the potential of local wisdom that is owned by South Sumatera province whether it is art and culture and culinary typical of South Sumatera Keywords: local wisdom, pedestrian street Soederman, Palembang Abastrak. Kota Palembang dalah salah satu kota besar di Indonesia yang juga merupakan ibu kota provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Palembang merupakan kota terbesar kedua di Sumatera setelah Medan. Selain terus menggarap proyek infrastruktur utama untuk Asian Games 2018, pemerintah daerah juga membangun infrastruktur penunjang untuk kenyamanan dan memikat tamu atau wisatawan ketika singgah di Palembang. Salah satu proyek adalah revitalisasi jalur pedestrian di Jalan Jenderal Sudirman. Pemanfaatan pedestrian jalan Jendral Sudirman merupakan peluang terbesar bagi masyarakat khususnya bagi pelaku seni dan budaya yang ada di Kota Palembang yang ingin memanfaatkan jalur pedestrian untuk menggali potensi daerahnya sesuai dengan kearifan lokal yang dimiliki masing-masing daerah. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti mengkaji potensi kearifan lokal Sumatera Selatan melalui perestrian jalan Jendral Sudirman Palembang. Objek penelitian ini adalah Masyarakat Sumatera Selatan yang berdomisili di Palembang. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan dokumentasi. Kesimpulan dai penelitian yang dilakukan bahwa dengan adanya pedestrian jalan Jendral Sudirman masyarakat harus memanfaatkan pekuang tersebut untuk menunjukkan potensi kearifan lokal yang dimilki provinsi Sumatera Selatan baik itu berupa seni dan budaya serta kuliner khas Sumatera Selatan Kata kunci: kearifan lokal, pedestrian jalan Soederman, Palembang

Abstract

 Abstract— This research is motivated by the ineffective use of e-learning that has been provided by the campus, the accuracy of students in answering questions when discussions and demonstrations in the classroom are not optimal, the need for the application and inculcation of character education to students, and the development of modules aims to improve competitiveness in a healthy way between students. The purpose of this study is to produce a product in the form of an Indonesian language module based on the guided discovery learning method which is loaded with character education and competitiveness for valid, practical, and effective Umrah students. The subjects of this research trial were students of engineering studies in semester 1 of the academic year 2018/2019. This type of research used research and development and research methods using the 4-D model, namely define, design, development, and disseminate. Based on the results of data analysis showed that the overall module validity test obtained a validity value of 88.31% in the category of very valid, module practicality test by lecturers obtained a value of 88.22% in the category of very practical and module practicality test by students obtained a value of 84, 52% in the very pratic category. The effectiveness test results that 9 students get qualifications A with a range of grades 3.51−4.00, 7 students get a qualification B with a range of grades 3.00−3.50 and 2 students get a C qualification with a range of grades 2.50− 2.99. It can be concluded that the module is very valid, practical, and effectively used by students in tertiary institutions. Keywords— module, guided discovery learning method, character education, competitive. Abstrak- Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tidak efektifnya penggunaan e-learning yang telah disediakan oleh kampus, keakuratan siswa dalam menjawab pertanyaan ketika diskusi dan demonstrasi di kelas tidak optimal, perlunya aplikasi dan penanaman pendidikan karakter. kepada siswa, dan pengembangan modul bertujuan untuk meningkatkan daya saing secara sehat di antara siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan produk dalam bentuk modul bahasa Indonesia berdasarkan metode pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing yang sarat dengan pendidikan karakter dan daya saing untuk siswa Umrah yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Subjek uji coba penelitian ini adalah siswa studi teknik di semester 1 tahun akademik 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan dan penelitian menggunakan model 4-D, yaitu define, design, development, dan diseminasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan uji validitas modul memperoleh nilai validitas 88,31% pada kategori sangat valid, uji kepraktisan modul oleh dosen diperoleh nilai 88,22% pada kategori sangat praktis dan uji kepraktisan modul oleh siswa memperoleh nilai 84, 52% dalam kategori sangat pratic. Hasil uji efektifitas bahwa 9 siswa mendapat kualifikasi A dengan kisaran nilai 3,51−4,00, 7 siswa mendapat kualifikasi B dengan kisaran nilai 3,00−3,50 dan 2 siswa mendapat kualifikasi C dengan kisaran nilai 2,50− 2,99. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul ini sangat valid, praktis, dan efektif digunakan oleh siswa di perguruan tinggi. Kata kunci— modul, metode pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing, pendidikan karakter, kompetitif.
