Abstract

Abstract— The issue of teachers will be increasingly complex entering the era of the Industrial Revolution 5.0, where teachers must have competence in facing technological developments. This paper examines efforts to improve teacher competency towards the era of the Industrial Revolution 5.0. Efforts to improve teacher competency are carried out by improving teacher recruitment systems, bottom up patterns of teacher competency improvement, Empowerment of Teacher Activity Groups and Subject Teachers' Deliberations to create a collaboration oriented to teacher self-development, and optimization of Sustainable Professional Improvement programs and lesson study with e-literacy support. The Indonesian Parliament in carrying out the legislative function, can provide support in the form of a commitment to accelerate the preparation of the Draft Law on Teachers. Need special attention in formulating the substance regarding teacher competence. Keywords— Teacher competence, The industrial revolution 5.0 Abstrak— Persoalan guru akan semakin kompleks memasuki era Revolusi Industri 5.0, di mana guru harusmempunyai kompetensi dalam menghadapi perkembangan teknologi dan softskill. Tulisan ini mengkaji upaya peningkatan kompetensi guru menuju era Revolusi Industri 5.0. Upaya peningkatan kompetensi guru dilakukan dengan perbaikan sistem rekrutmen guru,polapeningkatankompetensiguruyangbersifatbottomup,pemberdayaan Kelompok Kegiatan Guru dan Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran untuk menciptakan suatu kolaborasi yang berorientasi pada pengembangan diri guru, dan optimalisasi program Peningkatan Keprofesian Berkelanjutan dan lesson study dengan dukungan e-literasi. DPR RI dalam menjalankan fungsi legislasi, dapat memberikan dukungan berupa komitmen untuk mempercepat penyusunan Rancangan Undang-Undang tentang Guru. Abstract

Terminology of radicalism is so many, but the essence is there is contradiction between the values which is fought by a particular religious group with the order of values prevailing at the time. The act of radicalism is not a mistake of a particular religious’s doctrine, but a misconception of the religion that is embraced. The efforts to ward off and fight radicalism must continue to be done. There are three attempts to ward off the danger of radicalism through literary powers, media literacy, and religious leaders. Literature is a human inner expression that cannot be expressed in plain language. Furthermore, the humanist side of the literary world is able to make a person more wise and wise in dealing with something. In addition to literary power, media literacy, especially social media is considered as very important for the community. Not only gives a positive impact, but also has a negative impact. Social Media has a tendency as a means of disseminating false information content or false news (hoaxes). Related to the process of radicalization, not only born from a group that has direct contact with the perpetrators, but can also be obtained through the internet site. Finally, the role of religious leaders. Religious figures can give an understanding of the doctrine of religious values that lead to peace. This is because the essence of religion that never teaches people to hate each other, or even to do a violence.

Abstract

There have been several challenges in facing the era of industrial revolution 4.0. namely "Artificial Intelligence (AI), data and information (big data), cloud computing (cloud technology), internet, digital money (bitcoin), social media to data security are challenges that must be faced by college graduates today. Industry 4.0 holds a commitment to increase flexibility in manufacturing, in bulk, with better quality and productivity, resulting in rapid changes experienced by society, namely the rapid development of information technology that has a lot of impacts on human life both positive and negative. which is very strategic in the midst of its community, which must be able to provide enlightenment for the surrounding community, nation and state.

Abstract

This research was aimed to find out the comparison of the speed of reading the folklore of South Sumatra and the short story published by Kompas. The sample in this study is the Second Semester Students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Tridinanti University of Palembang.  The technique of data analysis was a test technique. Quantitative data analysis technique was used to analyze the mean of reading comprehension test result. The text used is South Sumatra folklore entitled Sembesat and Sembesit, while the short story published by Kompas is written by Farizal Sikumbang entitled Penagih Hutang Bersepeda Kumbang. The procedures of data analysis consisted of  measuring the speed reading (KM), content comprehension (PI), and reading ability (KMP). The texts being tested are South Sumatran folklore and the short story published by Kompas. Based on the result of research, it was found that the reading speed of South Sumatera folklore was 161,71 kpm with the comprehension level 34,04%, while the speed of reading narrative story published by Kompas is 203,71 kpm with understanding level 62,14%. This shows that the reading speed of students in reading folklore is lower than the short story published by Kompas.Keywords— Speed Reading, Folklore, Short Stories.

Abstract

Abstract— The development of science and technology is increasingly pushing efforts towards renewal in utilizing the results of technology in the implementation of learning. In carrying out their duties, the teacher (instructor) is expected to be able to use tools or materials supporting the learning process, from simple tools to sophisticated tools (in accordance with the development and demands of the times). Learning media is an intermediary as what is meant in the statement above. In this condition, the media used has a position as a tool in learning activities, namely teaching aids. teachers (instructors) must have sufficient knowledge and understanding of learning media, which includes (Hamalik, 1994): (i) media as a communication tool to make teaching and learning processes more effective; (ii) the function of the media in order to achieve educational goals; (iii) the relationship between teaching methods and the media used; (iv) the value or benefits of media in teaching; (v) the selection and use of instructional media; (vi) various types of learning media tools and techniques; and (vii) innovation efforts in the provision of learning media. Water rocket, also called water rocket, is an object that can fly using water and air. Water rockets became popular in Indonesia around 2005/2006. Water rockets are often contested either at the district, provincial, or even national level. Participants in the competition are mostly good students who sit in high school and even college students. Based on the above understanding, it seems to us that the presence of water rockets in the educational dimension is an absolute necessity. But this also needs to be supported by the availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure, as well as the readiness of education and students to adapt to water rocket technology. Keywords— Learning Media, The Role of Water Rockets, SMP Negeri 1 Prabumulih Abstrak— Perkembangan ilmu dan teknologi semakin mendorong usaha-usaha ke arah pembaharuan dalam memanfaatkan hasil-hasil teknologi dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Dalam melaksanakan tugasnya, guru (pengajar) diharapkan dapat menggunakan alat atau bahan pendukung proses pembelajaran, dari alat yang sederhana sampai alat yang canggih (sesuai dengan perkembangan dan tuntutan jaman). Media pembelajaran merupakan suatu perantara seperti apa yang dimaksud pada pernyataan di atas. Dalam kondisi ini, media yang digunakan memiliki posisi sebagai alat bantu dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, yaitu alat bantu mengajar bagi guru (teaching aids). guru (pengajar) harus memiliki pengetahuan dan pemahaman yang cukup tentang media pembelajaran, yang meliputi (Hamalik, 1994): (i) media sebagai alat komunikasi agar lebih mengefektifkan proses belajar mengajar; (ii) fungsi media dalam rangka mencapai tujuan pendidikan; (iii) hubugan antara metode mengajar dengan media yang digunakan; (iv) nilai atau manfaat media dalam pengajaran; (v) pemilihan dan penggunaan media pembelajaran; (vi) berbagai jenis alat dan teknik media pembelajaran; dan (vii) usaha inovasi dalam pengadaan media pembelajaran. Roket air disebut juga water rocket merupakan sebuah benda yang bisa terbang dengan memanfaatkan air dan udara. Roket air mulai populer di Indonesia sekitar tahun 2005/2006. Roket air sering dilombakan baik pada tingkat kabupaten, provinsi, bahkan nasional. Peserta perlombaan kebanyakan pelajar baik yang duduk di bangku sekolah menengah bahkan mahasiswa. Berdasarkan pemahaman di atas, nampaklah bagi kita bahwa kehadiran roket air dalam dimensi pendidikan merupakan suatu hal yang mutlak dan sudah merupakan kebutuhan. Namun hal ini juga perlu ditunjang oleh ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung, serta kesiapan pendidikan dan peserta didik untuk beradaptasi dengan teknologi roket air. Kata Kunci— Media Pembelajaran, Peran Roket Air, SMP Negeri 1 Prabumulih

Abstract

Projected values of local wisdom in literary works can be a controlling attitude in global society. Through literary works, it can be obtained moral and ethical values that have been filtered through civilization of a cultured society. Literature is able to present knowledge and information, insight, precise and valuable experience, and educated through various types of literary works such as novels, short stories, poetry and drama. All of these values contains values, including local wisdom. Values that derived from local wisdom can serve as values of moral character and values of moral performance. These values are very important to know, studied, discovered, and transferred through educational activities. In the field of education,  the delivery of local wisdom values in literary works can be created through teaching and learning in classroom, family, and other appreciative activitiesin society. The value of local wisdom can be used as moral and performance character that are needed in facing global challenges. The influence of globalization reflects the changes of time and space concepts and the existence of cultural interactions. Therefore, literature plays an important role in spinning understanding of soul, character, culture, and social civilization into a power and force in facing the globalization. So that, the kindness values contained based on local wisdom in literary works have to be well explored, elaborated, transformed and communicated to public through the support of all parties.  Keywords— literature, values, local wisdom, global

Abstract

The purpose of the reseach is to find students’ perceptions in using Online Dictionary in learning English. This study uses qualitative studies using those that aim to find the impact using Online Dictionary. The object of this research is the students of MA Alhidayah Muara Telang. The author takes 30 students of grade X science using the online dictionary as a sample. The method used by the author is the questionnaire. There are two impacts in this study, namely positive and negative impacts, the positive impact is that students easily understand the reading text, motivating students to be active in English. While the negative impact is the weak internet connection and the lack of funds in fulfilling the Quota.

Abstract

This study aims to explain how to manage waste for the community to emphasize the large amount of waste in Indonesia. As for the background of this writing, Indonesia is the second largest contributor to plastic waste in the world, reaching 187.2 million tons. This is because the management of plastic waste in Indonesia is not optimal and because of the low level of awareness the public will care about the environment. Even though the government has implemented rules about the prohibition of littering, it turns out that this has not been able to overcome the problem of garbage in Indonesia, especially in the city of Palembang. The amount of waste in Palembang reaches 500 to 1000 tons per day and continues to accumulate in landfills. Therefore, to overcome this problem the author took the initiative to make a research about the use of android-based iGoGreen application that has been applied at Muhammadiyah 1 Vocational School Palembang. This practical application makes it easy for users to distribute plastic waste to iGoGreen partners for further recycling. This research is a qualitative research. The results of the utilization of this application show that the amount of plastic waste in Muhammadiyah 1 Vocational School is reduced, the level of awareness of the residents of Palembang 1 Muhammadiyah Vocational School towards environmental hygiene has increased and provided an additional income fund of an average of Rp. 58,000 for every week.

Abstract

Problems that are often encountered by students Programs Study Dance and music drama education is difficulties the theme will be lifted into the form or dance. The prosess of determining the theme of dance is indeed not easy especialy when it relates to the basic motion that will be done. The importance of this writing so that students as beginner dance stylists can learn the basic stages of the work prosess. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by conducting obsevations, interveiws, and documentation and literature studies to clarify the theoretical study used. The results of research from each student who has carried out stages in a structured manner then the result achieved is that every student is able to prosess well and maximally, students are able to write and explain all literal themes, literal motion, and detemine the initial idea well too. Besides that students can also do and explain to then interpret ideas and visualize in the form of dance works.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of learning model probing prompting to the ability of mathematical and self-efficacy of students of class XI in SMK SENTOSA Buay Madang. The treatment variable in this research is the learning model of Probing Prompting, dependent variable is the ability of creative thinking and self efficacy of the students. The population in this study is the entire class XI in SMK SENTOSA Buay Madang. The sample in this research is taken by clauster random sampling technique and the selected classes are class XI.1 and XI.3 in SMK SENTOSA Buay Madang. Research is an experimental research with design used in this research is Posttest Only Control Design. Data collection techniques used in this study include tests and questionnaires. Data analysis technique used is Independent Test Samples T-Test. Based on the result of data analysis, it can be concluded that: (1) There is influence of learning model of probing prompting to students' mathematical creative thinking ability. (2) There is influence of learning model of probing prompting to student self efficacy.
