Abstract

Cultural education and character of the nation is basically the development of values that derive from the view of life or ideology of the Indonesian nation. The values in cultural education and character are: religious, honest, tolerant, disciplined, hard work, creative, independent, democracy, curiosity, nationalism, respect for achievement, and communicative. These values correspond to mathematical dispositions in Mathematics learning. This study was aimed at determining: the effect of mathematical disposition in character education toward concept understanding the 5­­­th grade students’ of Elementry School. This study was designed as quasi-experimental research. The data were obtained by using mathematical disposition questionnaires and concept understanding test. Data were analyzed by using t-test. The result of the data showed that there are the effect of mathematical disposition in character education toward concept understanding. Based on calculations obtained t of 3,10 with a significance level of 5% is 1.679.

Abstract

In the modern era, the very free technology and competition nowadays a leader's role is vital and very influential in the leader of an organization. A successful leader is a leader who can lead his subordinates to work together to achieve the vision, mission and goals of a school. A leader of one and the other must have a style or type of leadership that is not the same. A person's leadership style is the way a character stays or attitudes, relates, communicates, and interacts with others in influencing his subordinates to do something. The style can vary based on motivation, desire, ability, power or orientation towards responsibilities, tasks or specific people. Leadership style terssebut among his leadership style of charismatic, Paternalistic, Militeristik, Otoraktis, Laissez Faire, Populistis, Administrative, Democratic. The purpose or function of different leadership is to improve the quality of school principals, primary school principals, high school principals and high school principals to achieve and improve the quality of better education. Abstract

One of the problems that needs attention in the current era of globalization is the problem of Nationalism. The purpose of writing this article is that teachers who teach in schools can implement or implement elements of local wisdom in Ogan Ilir such as songket weaving craft, syarofal'anam, dul muluk, pindang Centella, in learning at school, so that arise in the students learn solid nationalism against their homeland to face the swift currents of globalization feared will impact on the erosion of a sense of love for local culture. This research uses qualitative descriptive method, research done in SDN 15 Indralaya involving teachers and students as the object of research. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation obtained through photography. The results showed that students at SDN 15 Indralaya were willing to appreciate local wisdom in their area, and they were keen to learn and practice local art in daily life. By implementing the value of local wisdom in learning expected soul and spirit of student nationalism will remain firmly maintained in the midst of the swift current of globalization.

Abstract

Abstract— This study aims to determine the use of language in children aged four years in the family environment on the road Prince Ratu Perum Atlet Type 100 Block A3 No.04 Rt.062 Rw.17 Jakabaring, Palembang. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Data analysis technique used in this research is observation. The author observes directly the child who was a study sample for nearly eight weeks. The sample data used in this research is Nayla Syaurah Nafisah. The results of the data obtained can show that there are variations of language that children use to the family environment because the father came from Central Java and Palembang mother. For example, the father asked "Mbak already eat yet son?" The child replied "It's the father of mbak eat soup poyoh samo tofu". Can be seen from the sentence that in the sentence Already the father is the Indonesian language, mbak ate is the Java language and sop telok poyoh samo know is the language of Palembang Keywords— Language usage, sociolinguistics, child research  Abstrak— Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan bahasa pada anak usia empat tahun di lingkungan keluarga di jalan Pangeran Ratu Perum Atlit Type 100 Blok A3 No.04 Rt.062 Rw.17 Jakabaring, Palembang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi. Penulis mengamati secara langsung anak yang menjadi sampel penelitian selama hampir delapan Minggu. Sampel data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Nayla Syaurah Nafisah. Hasil data yang diperoleh dapat menunjukkan bahwa terdapat variasi bahasa yang digunakan anak terhadap lingkungan keluarga karena ayah berasal dari Jawa Tengah dan ibu Palembang. Misalnya seperti ayah menanyakan” Mbak sudah makan belum nak?” anak menjawab “Sudah ayah mbak tadi makan sop telok poyoh samo tahu”. Dapat dilihat dari kalimat itu bahwa pada kalimat Sudah ayah merupakan bahasa Indonesia, mbak tadi makan merupakan bahasa Jawa dan sop telok poyoh samo tahu merupakan bahasa Palembang. Kata Kunci— Penggunaan Bahasa, sosiolinguistik, penelitian anak

Abstract

Principal leadership is all efforts undertaken and the results that can be achieved by the principal in implementing the school to realize the goal of education effectively and efficiently. Principal strategy in improving student achievement is through its role as follows: 1) Principal as leader 2) Principal as manager 3) Principal as supervisor. 4) Principal as innovator. As it is in the fourth pawn, the principal wants to use character education that is already declining. The School Program Plan serves to provide direction and guidance for school principals in order to better and characterize school goals that fall within one of the normative educational strategies. (improvement, development) with little risk and to reduce future uncertainty. School Program Plans should be owned by each school as a guide in the provision of education, both for the long term, medium, and short. School-based change strategies are divided into three strategies: The strategy of coercive power, the rational empirical strategy, and the normative strategy of education.

Abstract

This paper is the result of a literature review of The Three Tier-Test method in disclosing the physics misconception of the students. Misconception is a condition in which a person has a false or incorrect concept of physics. Misconception in Physics lessons is experienced by many students in school and collages. This misconception is got by students from everyday experiences in the home and school environment because of poor teaching methods. There are various ways to know if a person has misconception or not. Among these are using the CRI (Certainty Response Index) method and the TTT (Three Tier-Test) method. These methods use multilevel questions in which learners should answer the concept correctly and then they have to answer the next level of questions. The TTT method question consists of three levels of questions: core questions (questions that measure conceptual understanding), the reason why choosing the previous answer, and the last question is the level of confidence of learners in answering the test. With this method, the misconceptions of learners will be seen and can be acted upon according to the results obtained.Keyword---  misconception, Three-Tier Test (TTT), physics learning

Abstract

The title of this research is the effect of promotional cost to sales volume at Perum Pegadaian Cabang Palembang. It is located at Jalan Merdeka Number 11 Palembang. The purpose of this research are, (1) To know the effect promotional cost to sales volume, (2) To know the most effected of sales volume in promotional variable. Data obtained through interviews. Data were analyzed through pearson correlation coefficient formula and regression coefficient. Based on the results of this analysis, the writer found that Perum Pegadaian Cabang Palembang has not been able to achieve sales targets due to mortgage products are no longer monopolized by the company. In other words, there are some mortgage products which are also owned by financial institutions or other companies, that is the service delivery money through western union. Writer concludes that the most effect of promotional cost is sales volume. The publicity variable is an excellent variable. Writer suggests that the company should increase their personal selling becouse it can improve their sales volume. Keywords— promotion cost, sales volume, publicity

Abstract

Abstract---- The advancement of science and technology changes the lifestyle of people from childhood, to adults. Similarly, the effect on the pattern of education conducted by parents and schools. However sophisticated any progress of Science and Technology can not replace the function, the role of parents and teachers, especially in guarding the growth and development of learners to reach the ideals. Psychologically, in school age, learners are always looking for educators who are admired, respected, and idolized until some of the learners try to imitate the attitude, style of parents and teachers that brought in his life. Along with the desire to align the role of parents and school in the development of children is crucial. Evidence from several studies on the achievement of learning achievement of learners to be increased with the participation of parents directly and actively in the education of their children. Indicators of success as revealed by the results of Harvard Family Research Project's (HFRP) research that the involvement of parents have a close relationship with the results of achievement child. These findings consistently appear on the child's success, in the scores of grades, of the teacher's judgment. In line with the success in terms of learning achievement, the role of BK teachers becomes important when learners experience a collision in the learning process. Begitu pula pengaruhnya terhadap pola edukasi yang dilakukan oleh orang tua dan sekolah. Namun secanggih apapun kemajuan IPTEK tidak dapat menggantikan fungsi, peran orang tua dan guru khususnya dalam mengawal tumbuh dan kembang peserta didik menggapai cita- cita. Secara psikologis pada usia sekolah peserta didik senantiasa mencari figur pendidik yang dikagumi, dihormati, dan diidolakan hingga beberapa diantara peserta didik mencoba meniru sikap, gaya orangtua dan guru yang dibawanya dalam kehidupannya. Sejalan dengan keinginan untuk menyelaraskan peran orang tua dan sekolah dalam perkembangan anak sangat krusial. Dibuktikan dari beberapa  penelitian tentang pencapaian prestasi belajar peserta didik menjadi meningkat dengan keikutsertaan orang tua secara langsung dan aktif dalam pendidikan anak-anaknya.Indikator keberhasilan tersebut seperti diungkap oleh hasil penelitian Harvard Family Research Project’s (HFRP) bahwa keterlibatan orangtua memiliki kaitan erat dengan hasil prestasi anak. Penemuan ini secara konsisten nampak pada kesuksesan anak, dalam skor nilai, penilaian guru. Sejalan dengan keberhasilan dalam segi prestasi belajar, peran guru BK menjadi penting manakala peserta didik mengalami benturan dalam proses pembelajaran. Abstract

Presentation of character education through learning in school becomes one of the main points in shaping the personality of learners. The updating of the curriculum that leads to the 2013 curriculum continues to be perfected by adapting the development of the era and the present era. The effort is done because so massive flow of information and technology that arise millennial generation that forget the application of character values. Instead of manifesting the values of characters in life, millennials now do not even have the moral knowledge that is qualified and good as a stock to plunge in the life of society. For this purpose, the purpose of this paper is to know the implementation of character values into the learning especially on learning science (Natural Science) integrated in elementary school. IPA is a subject that requires learners to have a scientific attitude that is meticulous attitude, curiosity, responsibility, and other attitudes that are in line with the values of character. The materials in science learning especially in high class are able to train learners to embody the values of character in everyday life.

Abstract

Abstract— This study aims to improve the activity and learning outcomes in the course mathematical economics of linear function material taken from the mathematical book of economics through the application of methods of giving task and recitation. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. Population and sample in this research is student of semester 2 which take economics mathematics course with amount of 38 student. The data used in this study is the primary data with data collection techniques through observation and test. the results showed: 1) Results of student learning activities increased by 8.9%, where the average of student learning activities before the application of the method of giving task and recitation is in the category of active enough that is 33.4%, and the average student learning activity after the application of methods of giving task and recitations are in the very active category of 42.3%. 2) The average of student learning outcomes after the application of the method of giving task and recitation is an increase, where the average of student learning outcomes in the pre test is 4.0 is in the category Very Less, and the average post test result or after the application of the method of giving task and recitation that is 7.9 with very good category. Keywords— Method Giving Task and Recitation, Learning Outcomes, Learning  activity, Mathematical Economics Abstrak— Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar dalam matakuliah ekonomi matematis dari materi fungsi linear yang diambil dari buku matematika ekonomi melalui penerapan metode pemberian tugas dan resitasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa semester 2 yang mengambil matakuliah matematika ekonomi dengan jumlah 38 siswa. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Hasil kegiatan belajar siswa meningkat sebesar 8,9%, dimana rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa sebelum penerapan metode pemberian tugas dan resitasi berada pada kategori cukup aktif yaitu 33,4%, dan rata-rata siswa kegiatan belajar setelah penerapan metode pemberian tugas dan tilawah berada dalam kategori sangat aktif 42,3%. 2) Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan metode pemberian tugas dan resitasi adalah peningkatan, dimana rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada pre test adalah 4.0 berada dalam kategori Sangat Kurang, dan hasil post test rata-rata atau setelah penerapan metode pemberian tugas dan pembacaan yaitu 7,9 dengan kategori sangat baik.. Kata Kunci— Metode Pemberian Tugas dan Penjelajahan, Hasil Belajar, Kegiatan Belajar, Ekonomi Matematika
