Abstract

For the past few years, the number of problems in the field of education has increased and become a focus of attention.  Especially those concerning the morality of the students which are degenerating significantly. News such as violence done by students- either to others, or between fellow students, and even the most recent students violence against teachers- has added to the poor records of students bad characters. The students whom we had hoped would one day become the next generations, now even have to deal with legal issues. What a matter of great concern it should be. Therefore, this study aims to give solutions for positive characters to be grown and developed through a learning media such as folktales. Folktales were chosen as a media for they can provide and enrich the knowledge of Indonesian culture to students as well.

Abstract

Abstract—This study aims to describe and explain the value of local wisdom contained in Lagu Batanghari nine. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with content analysis method. The data in this study is the Batanghari nine song. The results of this study indicate that the value of local wisdom contained in the BatangHari Sembilan song and in this song illustrates the life of the atmosphere in the author's song area and the meaning implied in the song contains entertaining elements because the selection of words (diction) is interesting to be heard. Keywords - Batanghari Sembilan, regional songs, local wisdom values Abstrak— Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan nilai kearifan lokal yang terkandung dalam Lagu batanghari sembilan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode content analysis. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah lagu Batanghari sembilan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya nilai kearifan lokal yang terkandung dalam lagu BatangHari Sembilan dan dalam lagu ini menggambarkan kehidupan suasana di daerah sang pengarang lagu serta makna yang tersirat di dalam lagu tersebut mengandung unsur menghibur karena pemilihan kata ( diksi )  menarik umtuk didengar. Kata Kunci— Batanghari Sembilan, Lagu daerah, Nilai kearifan local

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of learning model probing prompting to the ability of mathematical and self-efficacy of students of class XI in SMK SENTOSA Buay Madang. The treatment variable in this research is the learning model of Probing Prompting, dependent variable is the ability of creative thinking and self efficacy of the students. The population in this study is the entire class XI in SMK SENTOSA Buay Madang. The sample in this research is taken by clauster random sampling technique and the selected classes are class XI.1 and XI.3 in SMK SENTOSA Buay Madang. Research is an experimental research with design used in this research is Posttest Only Control Design. Data collection techniques used in this study include tests and questionnaires. Data analysis technique used is Independent Test Samples T-Test. Based on the result of data analysis, it can be concluded that: (1) There is influence of learning model of probing prompting to students' mathematical creative thinking ability. (2) There is influence of learning model of probing prompting to student self efficacy.

Abstract

Abstract— In writing activities, a writer must be skilled in the process of thinking in the use of thinking, language structure, and vocabulary. Writing skills will not come automatically, but should be through practice and practice that is large and regular. Writing is a way of knowing and discovering what a person is aware of in the mind. Thus it can be said that the meaning and the essence of writing is intended that to do the activities of writing is required to think or when someone wants to write, he uses his mind so that he can produce writing. Keywords— Systematics of writing, articles, researchAbstrak—Dalam kegiatan menulis, seorang penulis haruslah terampil dalam proses berpikir dalam memanfaatkan pemikiran, struktur bahasa, dan kosa kata. Keterampilan menulis tidak akan datang secara otomatis, tetapi harus melalui latihan dan praktik yang banyak dan teratur. Menulis merupakan suatu cara untuk mengetahui dan menemukan apa yang diketahui oleh seseorang yang terekam dalam pikirannya. Abstract

Characteristics of a nation are reflected in its people. Character values need to be implemented by society in everyday life because with characteristic that match with personality of nation, make us become civilized nation. Education is a way to instill the values of character to some people, especially learners who are the next generation of the nation. In each subject, character values can be applied, not least in math learning. Moreover, the planting of this character value is a government program that is illustrated and implemented in the curriculum used in Indonesia today. Implementation of character values in the process of learning mathematics can bring socio mathematical norms in it. Thus, the values of characters or characteristics that are formed not only within the learners (individual) but also formed from their social interaction obtained in the process of learning mathematics.

Abstract

This research was aimed to find out the comparison of the speed of reading the folklore of South Sumatra and the short story published by Kompas. The sample in this study is the Second Semester Students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Tridinanti University of Palembang.  The technique of data analysis was a test technique. Quantitative data analysis technique was used to analyze the mean of reading comprehension test result. The text used is South Sumatra folklore entitled Sembesat and Sembesit, while the short story published by Kompas is written by Farizal Sikumbang entitled Penagih Hutang Bersepeda Kumbang. The procedures of data analysis consisted of  measuring the speed reading (KM), content comprehension (PI), and reading ability (KMP). The texts being tested are South Sumatran folklore and the short story published by Kompas. Based on the result of research, it was found that the reading speed of South Sumatera folklore was 161,71 kpm with the comprehension level 34,04%, while the speed of reading narrative story published by Kompas is 203,71 kpm with understanding level 62,14%. This shows that the reading speed of students in reading folklore is lower than the short story published by Kompas.Keywords— Speed Reading, Folklore, Short Stories.

Abstract

Global conception education is an educational process designed to prepare students with intellectual and responsible basic skills to enter a competitive and highly interdependent nation-state life. As a child of the nation both as educators or learners must have a high awareness that life is always related to global issues so that to be able to live a good life we must be able to open up to add insight and knowledge and technology literate so can compete with other countries. Concern for the preservation of the Environment, culture and local wisdom must also be maintained as the foundation of the Indonesian nation and it is not easy to generalize an event and be wiser in "interpreting an event". Keywords— Global Issues, Global Equity Education, Global Insighted Education

Abstract

Lecturing activities ideally that there is a good interaction between teachers and lecturers. But there are still things that become polemic in the lecture is the existence of students who have no motivation to follow the ongoing lectures with various causes. The purpose of this study is to determine the description of student motivation in following the lecture. This research is quantitative descriptive. The research population is all students of 3rd semester at Universitas PGRI Palembang 2016/2017 academic year as many as 68 people. The sample size is 58 people using Slovin formula. The instrument used is a closed questionnaire using Likert scale model. Data analysis techniques using the formula percentage. The findings of this study indicate that the motivation of students guidance and counseling PGRI Palembang universities included in the category of being. This is seen on the average score of 78.4, with a frequency of 24 or can be in percentage with a value of 41.4%. By knowing the description of motivation, it is expected to help lecturers to improve the quality of teaching by applying various teaching methods, as well as for students to improve themselves by increasing the motivation in following the lecture by following the guidance and counseling services both in classical, group and individual in Guidance and Counseling Unit. Keywords─ Student motivation in following lectures

Abstract

Abstract— this research was conducted by researchers related to the confidence of students’ less so that affect their attitude and their interaction in association. The purpose of this research was to determine whether one of the factors lack of student self-confidence caused by the influence of social media so that for some students who stutter the technology causing slow interaction and impact on confidence, especially in mingling. This research was carried out at senior high school Azharyah of Palembang. The number of sample was thirty students in eleventh grade IPA.1 in Senior High School of Azharyah of Palembang. The sample used clusterrandom technique and using t-test for technique analyzing data. The result of this research showed that there were an influence of social media on students’ self-confidence in association. This was evidenced by the average value of quetioner pre-test 4,75 and average value post-test 5,75 after the process of guidance in the second session, the students asked to return his opinion. The result of the answer of the students showed that there were a significant good effect on student self-confidence 13,8. It can made summarize that there were an influence of social media on students’ self-confidence in association of Senior High School Azhariyah of palembang. Keywords— social media, self-confidence, association Abstrak— Penelitian ini dilakukan peneliti terkait dengan kepercayaan diri siswa kurang sehingga mempengaruhi sikap dan interaksi mereka dalam bergaul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah salah satu faktor kurangnya rasa percaya diri siswa disebabkan karena pengaruh sosial media sehingga bagi sebagian siswa yang gaptek menyebabkan interaksinya lamban dan berdampak pada kepercayaan diri khususnya dalam bergaul. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Azharyah Palembang. Jumlah sampel 30 orang siswa kelas XI.IPA.1 SMA Azharyah Palembang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik clusterrandom Sampling dan teknik analisis data menggunakan t-tes. Hasil  penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh sosial media terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa dalam bergaul, hal ini dibuktikan oleh nilai rata-rata skor angket angket pre-test sebesar 4,75  dan nilai rata-rata post-test sebesar 5,75 setelah pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan kelompok sesi kedua, siswa diminta kembali pendapatnya. Hasil jawaban siswa menunjukkan peningkatan yang sangat signifikan pada kepercayaan diri sebesar 13,8. Hasil ini menunjukkan kategori positif, sekaligus menjawab hipotesis bahwa Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak dengan nilai thitung  13,8 > dari ttabel 1,83. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh sosial media terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa dalam bergaul di SMA Azharyah Palembang. Kata Kunci— Sosial media, kepercayaan diri, pergaulan

Abstract

Technological advances have a tremendos impact, that impacts are negative and positive. The positive impact is all knowledge and information in the world can be known. The negative impacts of technological are a lot of contract pornographic, games and violance. One of the goverment efforts to cope negative effect of technology, the goverment applied BTA as a local content subject. The application of BTA is aimed to make children more able to master the contents of Al-Qur’an so that can be able good attitude and morality in children. The objective of study is to know influence of application learning BTA at the kindergarden of smart kids Fathonah Prabumulih, in change attutide and morality of the child. The method of study is descriptive analysis and for collecting data is used interview, document file, and observation. Sample of study is 20 pupils. It took from totaly of students TK  smart kids Fathonah Prabumulih. The result of study showed that application learning of reading and writing Al-Qur’an (BTA) in children can change attitude child to be good and increase their morality. The researcher hopes learning BTA always be increased to support learning Al-Qur’an deeply.
