Abstract

Abstract—This research starts from the condition in each school that lacks awareness of environmental preservation. Adiwiyata school aims to create a school community that cares and is cultured towards the environment. The only problem that remains is when students are asked about the Adiwiyata program there are still those who do not understand the program. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 135 Palembang. Based on the results of interviews with the head of 135 Palembang Elementary School has carried out the programs namel a) Socialization of the implementation involved in the Adiwiyata program policies through meeting b) Make a green house or a nursery c) Making biopori infiltration holes d) There is a special room for processing waste with the 3R principle (Reuse, Reduce and Recycle) e) The existence of hydroponic plants, namely cultivation of plants using water f) Invate students to bring their own drinking bottles and eating places g) Competing in used materials h) Make Adiwiyata monument.. Keywords— Adiwiyata, The Role of The Principal, SD Negeri 135 Palembang Abstrak—Penelitian ini berawal dari kondisi pada setiap sekolah yang kurang kesadaran pelestarian lingkungan hidup.. Sekolah Adiwiyata bertujuan untuk mewujudkan masyarakat sekolah yang peduli dan berbudaya terhadap lingkungan. Permasalahan yang masih ada adalah saat siswa ditanya tentang program Adiwiyata masih ada saja yang belum memahami program tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 135 Palembang. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara terhadap Kepala SD Negeri 135 Palembang telah melaksanakan program-program yaitu a) Sosialisasi terhadap pelaksanaan yang terlibat dalam kebijakan program Adiwiyata melalui rapat b) Membuat Green House atau tempat pembibitan tanaman c) Membuat lubang resapan biopori d) Adanya ruang khusus pengolahan sampah dengan prinsip 3R (Reuse/Penggunaan kembali, Reduce/Pengurangan, dan Recycle/Daur ulang) e) Adanya tanaman hidroponik yaitu budidaya tanaman dengan memanfaatkan air f) Mengajak siswa untuk membawa botol minum dan tempat makan sendiri g) Mengikuti lomba-lomba yang memanfaatkan bahan bekas h) Membuat tugu Adiwiyata. Kata Kunci— Adiwiyata, Peran Kepala Sekolah, SD Negeri 135 Palembang

Abstract

The availability of characteristic human resources is a vital necessity. This is done to prepare for global challenges and national competitiveness. The problem is Indonesia's human resources do not reflect the expected educational aspirations. For example, there are many students who cheat when they do examination, being lazy, brawl between fellow students, performing promiscuity, drugs abuse, and others. On the other hand, found teachers who always provide bad examples to their students. The teachers often do frauds in certification and they upload bad videos on social media. This article was a library research, which investigated the debate of educational character. The educational character is the deliberate use of all dimensions of school life to foster optimal character development. For educational character in schools, all educational stakeholders should be involved such the education itself, curriculum content, learning and assessment processes, handling or management of subjects, school management, implementation of co-curricular activities, empowerment infrastructure, financing, and work ethic of all school residents. In addition, educational character is interpreted as a behavior of school residents. Educational character is a system on planting character values for learners, which contains knowledge, individual consciousness, and the willingness to perform God’s values and being insan kamil.

Abstract

Shifting values in terms of the psychological side is an important review in the current situation. The development of technology, especially the internet, has many impacts on learning, especially on the individual side of students. The purpose of this research is to see what shifts in values or characters are implicated from the application of the internet in the learning process. The method used in this study is the quality method, with secondary data sources that are processed from literature. The results of this study are there is a shift in value when viewed from the psychological aspects due to the application of internet technology in learning. In the psychological review of education which becomes the main scope are contextual teaching and learning, process of teaching and learning, outcomes of teaching and learning. Educational psychology focuses on the situation and conditions of learning, the learning process and the results achieved from the learning process through the learning situations created. The condition of learning by applying internet technology provides space for students to obtain extensive information about whatever they want to know. With ease, students get any information that makes the desire to be serious in learning is not so optimal. In the psychological side of the value it means that it is being eroded by the application of a new technology.

Abstract

The era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 was a further era of the Third Industrial Revolution that stimulated the advancement of science and technology with Internet of Things (IoT) and its supporting technology to become the backbone of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and advanced machines were used as promoters to optimize the circuit production. Such progress crosses organizational and territorial boundaries, which consist of agility, intelligence, and also networking. Traditional South Sumatra food as a decent product to be introduced to the public and compete in the industrial world (especially culinary). As a local product, you need language support tools as intermediaries. Local languages need to be accommodated in the national language (Indonesian), so that it will be easier to make understanding in foreign languages (for example, English).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of audiovisual media on the writing skills of persuasive text in class VIII Palembang State Middle School 15. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with the pretest and posttest group. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely classes VIII.5 and VIII.6. The total sample of the study was 68 students. The data collection technique used in this study was a persuasion text writing test. Data analysis techniques with statistical techniques t test using SPSS 21 computer program. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in test results between the experimental class and the control class. The average value of the initial test writing experimental class persuasion text 41.50 increased by 33.41 to 74.91. The average value of the initial test for writing control class persuasion texts 39.38 increased by 13.80 to 53.18. The results showed an increase in the experimental class was greater than the control class. The results of t-test calculations show tcount> ttable or 6.921> 2.035 with df = 66 at a success rate of 95% (0.025) because tcount is greater than ttable then Ho is rejected.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this research is the historical value of what is available from the craft of blacksmith in Tanjung Pinang, Tanjung Batu Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir Regency which can be used as learning resource in class X SMA PGRI 2 Palembang. While the purpose of this study is to mengatahui historical value contained from the craft of a blacksmith in Tanjung Pinang Tanjung Batu District Ogan Ilir District that can be used as a source of learning history in class X SMA PGRI 2 Palembang. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Technique of collecting data that is, documentation, observation, interview. Techniques of data dashiness by means, source triangulation, triangulation techniques / methods and triangulation theory. Data analysis technique used in this research is data analysis technique of data analysis used in this research is interactive analysis analysis technique with some component such as data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion that has been done in this study the history of SMA PGRI 2 Palembang teachers do not know the area of Tanjung Pinang village has a cultural heritage of karajinan blacksmith. Blacksmith skill is a cultural heritage of the ancestral heritage that until now still preserved by the community of Tanjung Pinang village that can be used as a source of learning history in the class X SMA PGRI 2 Palembang. Abstract

Abstract— In facing the financial crisis to finance the operations of the institution and the survival of the university, the University of PGRI Palembang must make changes from a non-profit institution to a profit-oriented institution. During this time the University of PGRI Palembang only relied on funding sources from the community (students), so that this resulted in increasingly difficult this institution to develop themselves. For this reason, the University of PGRI Palembang must look for new sources of funding outside of existing funding sources. In looking for new sources of funding, there are 3 (three) main things that are the focus of attention, namely: factors that drive changes in tertiary institutions, forms of changes in university organizational structure, and organizational changes towards profit-oriented nuances. The implementation of these changes and developments requires the PGRI University of Palembang to have to build business units that will become new sources of income. Keywords— New Era Changes, PT Business Opportunities, and Profit-Oriented Abstrak— Dalam menghadapi krisis keuangan untuk membiayai operasional lembaga dan keberlangsungan hidup perguruan tinggi, maka Universitas PGRI Palembang harus melakukan perubahan dari lembaga nirlaba menjadi lembaga berorientasi profit. Selama ini Universitas PGRI Palembang hanya mengandalkan sumber pendanaan dari masyarakat (mahasiswa) semata, sehingga hal tersebut mengakibatkan semakin sulitnya lembaga ini mengembangkan diri. Untuk itu Universitas PGRI Palembang harus mencari sumber dana baru di luar sumber dana yang telah ada. Dalam mencari sumber dana baru, ada 3 (tiga) hal utama yang menjadi fokus perhatian, yaitu: faktor-faktor yang mendorong perubahan perguruan tinggi, bentuk-bentuk perubahan struktur organisasi perguruan tinggi, dan perubahan orgaanisasi menuju perguruan tinggi bernuansa profit oriented. Implementasi dari perubahan dan pengembangan tersebut, menuntut Universitas PGRI Palembang harus membangun unit–unit bisnis yang akan menjadi sumber pendapatan baru. Kata Kunci— Perubahan Era Baru, Peluang Usaha PT, dan Profit Oriented.

Abstract

Many people assume that learning languages is easy because they think we have used language every day. Learning languages is not only able to communicate with the language, but also to know and understand the meaning contained in the words or phrases spoken. In learning languages, especially English, most students experience difficulties in speaking skill. The difficulty is usually caused by difficulties in expressing ideas verbally, limited vocabulary, limited grammar ability so that it is difficult to speak with the correct rules, limited ability to pronounce words (pronunciation) correctly. These result inthe students’ difficulties to pronounce the words correctly and lack of courage to speak because they are afraid of making mistakes. There are several effective ways to improve students’ speaking skill, namely increasing vocabulary, reading aloud, recognizing simple English grammar, reading English writing, practising English conversation, listening to English songs, watching Englishmovies, andbeing fond of English. This paper also discusses the method of teaching using role play and media of picture strip stories to improve students' English speaking skill.

Abstract

Abstract— Information technology is the basis in solving the social problems in the era of the community 5.0. Community 5.0 is a society which emerged due to the industrial revolution era 4.0. This era caused everything without limits and also disrupted many fields, including education. Conmunity 5.0 is the answer of all the challenges that arose as a result of the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0. The concept of community 5.0 firstly appeared in Japan, 2016, and since that time, it has spreaded and the basic concept is constantly formed. Community 5.0 wants the learning transformation. In this case, only devoted to the aspects of learning Bahasa Indonesia (the role of educators, students' needs, the use of digital-based teaching materials, and mixing patterns in learning). Keywords— Community 5.0, the role of educators, the students’ needs, learning digital-based, learning of Bahasa Indonesia, the transformation of education. Abstrak— Teknologi informasi menjadi basis dalam meyelesaikan masalah sosial di era masyarakat 5.0. Masyarakat 5.0 adalah masyarakat yang muncul akibat era revolusi industri 4.0. Era ini telah menyebabkan segala hal menjadi tanpa batas dan juga telah mendisrupsi banyak bidang, tidak terkecuali bidang pendidikan. Masyarakat 5.0 adalah jawaban atas semua tantangan yang muncul akibat era revolusi Industri 4.0. Konsep masyarakat 5.0 pertama kali muncul di Jepang, 2016, dan sejak saat itu menyebar dan konsep dasarnya terus dibentuk. Masyarakat 5.0 menginginkan transformasi dalam pembelajaran. Dalam hal ini dikhususkan pada aspek pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia (peran pendidik, kebutuhan peserta didik, penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis digital, dan pola bauran dalam pembelajaran). Kata Kunci— Masyarakat 5.0, peran pendidik, kebutuhan peserta didik, pembelajaran berbasis  digital, pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, dan transformasi pendidikan.

Abstract

Abstract— One way to keep updated material up to date is to reconstruct lecture material. The educational reconstruction described in this paper contains the development of teaching materials using the MER (Educational Reconstruction Model) model developed by Duit et al (2012). Develop models that emphasize students' understanding of what supports. Occurs between the structure of science content and students' initial understanding. In order to explain the structure of content easily understood by students, it must be carried out elementalization (elemantrization) in the form of simplifying the structure of the science content. The act of simplification (elementization) is important because there are still many teaching materials that are not in accordance with the level of understanding of students so that it is not easy to be facilitated by them. Good teaching materials will help students in understanding the material received. To get good teaching materials, there are several characteristics of good teaching materials proposed by Winkel (2004: 331), namely instructional independence, independent, independent, adaptive, and user friendly. Keywords— Reconstruction of lecture material Teaching material Constituent structure Content structure  Abstrak— Salah satu cara agar materi yang diajarkan tetap up to date adalah dengan cara merekonstruksi materi perkuliahan. Rekonstruksi pendidikan yang diuraikan dalam tulisan ini berupa pengembangkan bahan ajar menggunakan model MER (Model of Education Reconstruction) yang dikembangkan oleh Duit et al (2012). Pengembangan model ini menekankan pada aspek pemahaman siswa terhadap apa yang diajarkan. Terjadi kesenjangan antara struktur konten sains dan pemahaman awal peserta didik. Agar penjelasan struktur konten sains mudah difahami oleh peserta didik, maka harus dilakukan elementrisasi (elemantrization) dalam bentuk penyederhanaan struktur konten sains tersebut. Tindakan penyederhanaan (elementrisasi) penting dilakukan karena masih banyak bahan ajar belum sesuai dengan tingkat pemahaman peserta didik sehingga tidak mudah untuk dipahami oleh mereka. Bahan ajar yang baik akan membantu peserta didik dalam memahami materi yang diajarkan.
