Abstract

Implementation of law number 22 in the year of 1999 on regional autonomy has changed the management of government of Indonesia, both on the national scale and on a regional one. One of thegovernment institutions that got its impact is Family Planning Program. This program has implications, not only to advisor’s attitudes and work behaviors, such as job performance and working motivation but also to government commitment on the reception and implementation of this program namely formation of family planning institutions at theregional level.One of the attitudes indicated by the advisor in the form of complaints related to salary wages and operating costs are not considered balance with the workload that causes themotivation and performance of work decrease. Other phenomena are to turn over the workers in the family planning and other government institutions. Accumulation of these could be the cue of advisors’ weak commitment towards their institutions. Implications: This study can provide an understanding of job satisfaction and increase the extension's commitment in performing its duties.

Abstract

Abstract: Interest is the motivating force that will encourage students to get excited and remember what she learned. The learning process is less qualified, inefficient and lacked the appeal, and even tend to be boring, causing low student interest. This study aims to determine the increase in interest and understanding students' mastery of content Counseling services through a game method in class VII A Prembun SMP Negeri 1 Kebumen district. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Techniques of data retrieval from the scale of interest, observation, evaluation, documentation and interviews. Data analysis with comparative descriptive technique. Indicators of success: 1) Active engagement in the learning process well, the range of 60-80%, 2) increase student interest, and 3) Obtaining a new understanding of at least 85%. The results showed the service mastery of content game method can be: 1) increasing student interest of 76.01 (pre-cycle) to 84.50 (first cycle) and 84.17 (second cycle), 2) improving the understanding of students to 93% (cycle I) and 93.5% ( cycle II).Keywords: interest, understanding, mastery of content services, methods of a game.

Abstract

Inability to deal with lectures efficiently leads students vulnerable to academic burnout. Burnout contributes to the high dropout rate among students, and this phenomenon has occurred on several universities in Indonesia. To overcome these problems, students should generate the feelings, attitudes and positive attitude towards the academic demands, or known as school engagement. School involvement is a predictor of students’ dropout rate. This study aims to analyze the dropout problem in many private universities in Jakarta by examining the psychological variables: academic burnout and school engagement. 208 students from some private university in Jakarta participated and fulfilled two questionnaires: academic burnout and school engagement that has been modified to suit the college setting. Correlation of the variables showed r= - 0.399 (p = 0.000). This means that school engagement plays a role in reducing academic burnout among students. These findings contribute a reference for academic counseling to support the decreasing of students’ dropout rate.

Abstract

Group guidance is an activity of existing services in guidance and counseling is helpful to discuss the topic of problems that are common to both topics task or topic freely discussed the topic of the present that can be taken through the media, such as newspapers, magazines, television, internet and others are discussed groups. Abstract

Proses supervisi penting dilakukan dalam menjamin terselenggaranya praktik konseling psikologis yang terstandar. Supervisi dilakukan oleh konselor yang berpengalaman (supervisor) kepada konselor yang masih baru (supervisee). Ketika proses supervise berlangsung, maka kegiatan konseling dan terapi psikologis yang diberikan oleh konselor sepenuhnya menjad itanggungiawab supervisor. Supervisor dapat membimbing supervisee dengan melewati proses real relationship, working alliance, dan transference. Supervisi yang baik akan mampu meningkatkan ketrampilan supervisor, sehingga layanan psikologis yang diberikan menjadi efektif dalam proses terapi klien.

Abstract

Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood. During the course of developmental tasks, teenagers often fall into the negative direction that causes them to commit acts that violate the law so that sanctions in the form of criminal punishment. One of the developmental tasks traversed by teenagers is the task of selecting and planning future jobs/careers. However, the conditions faced by teenagers inside the Prison are very complicated. Lack of information about careers that can be inmates in their teens, this makes it difficult for them to make career planning in the future. This paper discusses the role of counselor in helping career planning for inmates in their teens.

Abstract

This study investigated the validation of the psychological resilience scale adaptation from youth development module (RYDM) for secondary school. The psychological RYDM is measured by six factors psychological assets was strongly associated with students academic success. A sample of study is 158 seventh grade students from five secondary schools in Singaraja, Bali Province (75 or 47.4% male and 83 or 52.6%  female, with age range 12-13 years). The constructs validation was conduct by exploratory factor analysis (EFA) method, with SPSS 22.0. Five iterations of the EFA reducing 18 original items to 14 items and 6 original factors to 5 factors. Five factors and 14 items produced are consistent with the conceptual basis used in the original RYDM. The stability of new five factors is formed by a split sample analysis method showed the all of the items of factors identified in the earlier testing stable adequacy of forming a common factor in this analysis in the first and second iteration. The results of analysis the item-total correlation on 14 item (n = 158) showed Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.777. Implications the study for guidance and counseling practice in schools is discussed.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to discover the meaning of adjustments for the wife whose husband's polygamy. Subjects in this study were 3 people who were selected based techniques purposivitas with the characteristics of the subject, the woman who was the first wife of a polygamous husband, aged between 40-70 years, have children, have their own income, and age polygamous marriage a minimum of 3 years. The data in this study were collected through participant observation and in-depth interviews. To assess the validity of the data used triangulation method. This research is a qualitative approach to multi-case study. The results of this study indicate that the meaning of adjustment for wives whose husbands are polygamous through life with not much demand, thanks to the existing favors. Life lived at this time is the road to self-closeness to the Creator and the path of devotion to Allah Subhannahu Wa Ta'ala. Abstract

SMP Negeri 2 Metro In reality, there are many confused students choose a major program of advanced studies, especially for junior high school students. It is necessary to learn / coaching to the students to be able to choose the school accordingly. Researchers conduct action research through the Guidance Counseling Group in Class IX student of SMP Negeri 2 Metro. The experiment was conducted using two cycles. Recapitulation of data Selecting a program majoring in the process of learning / coaching from the first cycle to the second cycle, there is an increase of 57.06% to 86.35%. The results of the data summary portfolio also increased from 33.32% to 83.33%, and the recapitulation of learning outcomes of students who otherwise Completed Pass also risen from 54.54% increase to 96.96%. Thus concluded indicator of success is to reach the target / as are 95% or more.Keywords: guidance group, select schools, smp negeri 2 metro

Abstract

Konsultasi sebagai satu komponen bimbingan adalah segala usaha memberikan asistensi kepada seluruh anggota staf pendidik dan pada orang tua siswa demi perkembangan siswa yang lebih baik (Winkel, 1997). Sedangkan konseling adalah usaha membantu merefleksi diri siswa melalui wawancara konseling individual maupun kelompok, terlebih lagi bila permasalahan yang dihadapi siswa belum terselesaikan secara tuntas. Konsultasi dalam kamus bahasa Indonesia dapat diartikan sebagai “pertukaran pikiran untuk mendapatkan kesimpulan berupa nasehat atau saran yang sebaik-baiknya”. Konsultan dinyatakan sebagai orang ahli yang memberikan petunjuk atau nasehat dalam suatu kegiatan. Konsultasi diartikan sebagai tukar pikiran untuk meminta pertimbangan dalam memutuskan sesuatu. Artinya lebih menekankan pada unsur nasehat yang diberikan oleh orang yang berkompeten dibidangnya.
