Abstract

This study aims to describe and develop a valid and practical science learning module based on Contexstual Teaching and Learning (CTL) for grade IV at SD Negeri 22 Kuranji. The type of research used is the development (Research and Development) by using a 3-D model modification consisting of the stages of define, design, and development. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. The questionnaire validator consisted of 1 material validator lecturer, 1 design validator lecturer and 1 language validator lecturer. Based on the results of the study, the module validation which was carried out from the aspect of science material received an assessment of 3.20, from the display aspect it obtained an assessment of 3.83 and from the aspect of language received an assessment of 4.00. Seen the average score for the assessment of the CTL-based science learning module which obtained an overall score of 3.67 with a very valid category. While the practicality test consisted of 1 teacher and 23 students. From the practicality results by the teacher, the percentage of results was 83.85% with the practical category and from the practicality by the students, the percentage of the results was 82.26% with the practical category. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the resulting CTL-based science learning module is very valid and practical to use in science learning so that it can be used in science learning in class IV SD.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the implementation of the teacher's role as a facilitator in instilling the character of caring for the environment through the Adiwiyata programme carried out by the teacher; (2) knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing the Adiwiyata programme to instill the character of caring for the environment at SDN Petir 1 Tangerang City. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study are that the implementation of the role as a facilitator in instilling a caring character for the environment through the Adiwiyata programme is quite good, but there are still some activities that cannot be carried out, due to the pandemic. Supporting factors are the involvement of school residents, parents, and the government, supporting facilities and infrastructure, extracurricular activities that are integrated into environmental education. The inhibiting factor is that there are students who have not been able to apply a caring attitude to the environment and teachers can only direct some activities during online learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of science learning videos in limited face-to-face learning at SD Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research with the research subjects being all students of class VI, totaling 24 students, guardians of class VI, and the principal of SD Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya. Data collection techniques used were student questionnaire sheets, teacher interview sheets, and school principals. This study uses analytical techniques consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data based on the results of research conducted there are 93% of students stated that they enjoyed participating in limited face-to-face learning compared to online, 95% felt motivated, 95% said the learning atmosphere was more enjoyable, 90% said the material was easier to understand and 95% said study time was more effective. According to the homeroom teacher for grade VI, through the use of this science learning video, the teacher felt that the learning time could be used more effectively, even though there were several obstacles faced by the teacher. Likewise, according to the principal, the use of video media is in accordance with the character of the digital generation of students. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that learning using science learning videos is very suitable for use in limited face-to-face learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the concept of freedom of learning in the Griyo Maos Community of Gunung Anyar Surabaya (GM) with the hope of being able to become a solution to become a freedom of learning alternative and become a means of character strengthening for the children assisted by Griyo Maos Gunung Anyar Surabaya during distance learning. This research method is qualitative with research subjects are the founders and children assisted by Griyo Maos Gunung Anyar Surabaya. This study used analytical techniques consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data based on the results of research conducted there are 80% of children who actively participate in activities at GM, 100% felt more creative, 70% said activities at GM affect their enthusiasm for learning, 80% felt they have a leadership spirit, 100% of GM fostered children claimed to be more confident , and 80% felt a positive impact and a heightened sense of responsibility. From the questionnaires and interviews, the results were in the form of strengthening the character of GM fostered children after participating in many activities that they conceptualized themselves at GM.

Abstract

This article describes an overview of the fourth grade students' thinking ability. Creative thinking is a skill needed to solve various problems that continue to grow and change. Creative thinking skills are needed to deal with various problems in the future. Creativity is the ability to bring up new ideas or ideas to existing or never existing inventions to solve a problem. Based on the results of this literature review, it was found that creative thinking skills need to be given to students from an early age. Mathematics learning should include activities that foster creative. Creative thinking skills can be identified in high, medium, and low categories in order to develop students' creative thinking skills through several learning activities. To find out these categories, further research can be carried out.

Abstract

Learning motivation is the overall driving force in students that causes learning activities. The problem that occurs is that students experience a lack of motivation to learn due to parental attention, inefficient learning media, and supporting facilities in the learning process during the Covid 19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to analyze students' learning motivation during the pandemic. The type of research used is qualitative. The subjects used were teachers and fourth grade students at SDN Bajang 01. The instruments included questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, verification. Based on the results of research and discussion of student learning motivation during the Covid 19 pandemic at SDN Bajang 01, it was included in the very high category with reference to 6 indicators, namely the desire and desire to succeed, the second indicator was encouragement and need for learning, the third indicator was hopes and dreams. future aspirations, the fourth indicator is appreciation in learning, the fifth indicator is interesting activities in learning, the sixth indicator is a conducive learning environment. The results of this study can be used as a consideration, especially for teachers who are able to increase student motivation, especially during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of parents in guiding children to learn from home at the Pakuhaji Parungkuda Public Elementary School (SDN). This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study method. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The data analysis procedure uses Miles and Huberman, through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Check the validity of the data using triangulation of sources and techniques. The respondents of this study were fourth grade teachers, parents and students. The results showed that parents prepared learning tools (tools) for children including cellphones, books, study tables and provided comfortable places for children such as in the room, in the tv room and in the terrace. Parents help children overcome learning difficulties, namely by helping explain material that they do not understand in learning and providing examples in working on the questions given by the teacher. The inhibiting factors faced by parents during learning from home are due to 1) the availability of parental time is inadequate in supervising children during learning such as dividing time by selling and taking care of the household by doing homework, 2) low economic conditions in meeting children's learning needs including quotas must always be available to facilitate learning and prepare cellphones to be able to take part in learning.

Abstract

This research purposes to know the role of library in build students information literacy skill at fourth grade of SD Negeri 02 Gendingan.This research uses qualitative research with 30 student at IV, V, And VI grade, 1 librarian and 3 classroom teacher of high grade. The research object is the role of library to build students literacy skill. The data collection of the research uses interview (fourth grade students, one librarian, one classroom teacher) and questionnaire and take documentation during pandemic, once of weeks. The result of research showed that the library has important role in build students literacy skill. The weakness of the role of the library lies in electronic sources such as computers for students that are not available in the library, so that the only sources of information that students get are printed sources. Students information literacy skills are also in accordance with information literacy skills standards that is, accessing information, evaluating information, and using information.

Abstract

Seeing the many benefits that will be gained from reading a lot. So it is important for teachers and education personnel to read, but not everyone has an interest in reading. Based on the results of observations made by researchers that interest in reading does not go well because teachers and students are not able to focus on reading material. Starting from the things above, the researchers will take a suitable school action to overcome these problems as a solution to make teachers and students active, motivated, and enthusiastic in reading. Therefore, the researchers formulated it into a school action research report entitled: "Efforts to Increase Teachers' and Students' Reading Interest by Expanding the Library Program at SD Negeri Margorejo I/403 Surabaya Odd Semester for the Academic Year 2019/2020". The research was conducted with a two-cycle action mechanism. And based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an increase in reading interest through the application of library program extensification for teachers and staff at SD Negeri Margorejo I/403 Surabaya. The increase in reading interest through the implementation of the extensification of the library program for teachers and staff at SD Negeri Margorejo I/403 Surabaya was 22%.

Abstract

This type of research is qualitative by describing and describing the conditions of learning using the value analysis approach. The study was conducted from September to October 2019, implemented in 8 times the lecture. Related to student activities in the lecture using the analysis approach of the value obtained the data that the learning using the value approach applied in the class 2019-G Students PGSD PGRI Adi Buana University can foster student inactivity, confidence, writing skills, and concept comprehension. With the value approach applied by researchers, it can make students dare to perform and convey ideas that are in mind.
