Abstract

Semarang is one of the business center with the growth of PKL , which grew rapidly. Unfavorableimpression of the city can be generated from the PKL. Therefore this study aimed to assess the characteristics ofthe business profile of PKL in the area of Simpang Lima and Taman KB, characteristics EntrepreunerPsychological capital of PKL in the area of Simpang Lima and Taman KB . This study was conducted to allPKL in the area of Simpang Lima and Taman KB Semarang. This type of research is quantitative descriptiveanalysis. The results showed that most of the traders are food vendors . The location of PKL to Simpang Lima aredivided into three areas: the area in front of the Matahari Mall , Simpang Lima area and Taman KB. Traders inthis area sell for up to eight hours a day.

Abstract

The messages in context of woman representation in anecdote rubric on MATRA magazine had sexism acts. Presenting jokes about woman as sex object with all their inferiority shows it. The language choice, word and sentence structure were not considered with woman sensitivity. Jokes on women representing built stereotype of woman status as subordinate party. The result of study showed that the anecdote rubric in MATRA magazine represented patriarchy ideology because it contained woman bias that still trapped in social stereo-type. The character different between men and woman represents this bias, where that differentiation had became the foundation of sexual job distribution. Man placed in public area (as head of household) and woman placed in domestic area (as housewife). Using word like prostitute, women had been seen as an unmoral human being and prostitution was not a good job for 'nice' women. The word soldier had been also identified to men, so women have considered unable to involve in there. Base on the result of study, researcher had been concluded that this point of view clearly has not been given bargaining and developing position for women. MATRA magazine tend to become a power for dominant group (men) continuing patriarchy ideology and not to become an alternative power for women to escape from patriarchy ideology domination.

Abstract

The waste bank is an innovative method to increase knowledge and behaviour to manage household waste. As a collective action at the community level, social capital has a vital role in the management of the waste bank. This study aims to identify and analyse how the level of trust, network, and social norms play a role in creating a sustainable, community-based waste bank management. This research used the qualitative approach and descriptive method. The data collection techniques were carried out using observations, literature studies, and in-depth interviews. The data were analysed using a qualitative-descriptive technique. The study shows that The Lintas Winongo Waste Bank is a community-based waste bank because it was established and managed by community members in RW 11, Bumijo Urban Village, Yogyakarta City. The manager of Lintas Winongo Waste Bank collaborates with several actors to support the management of the waste bank. The Lintas Winongo Waste bank management requires trust between the actors because it is related to the flow of money. The trust between the actors is built through the transparency of the waste bank management process. The network has a role in exchanging information and providing access to various resources required. The strategies to build networking with the actors are communication, shared understanding regarding the purpose of the waste bank, and a shared commitment to support the waste bank management. The social norms are required to maintain the transparency process and trust between the actors. Moreover, the social norm can build awareness of the citizens to manage domestic waste.

Abstract

The implementation of Indonesian local government autonomy gives many consequences. One of it is the augmentation of cooperation with foreign countries conducted by local government. One type of the cooperation is sister province. This cooperation still bring lack of success story and best practices. Rather brings clear profits, mostly sister province cooperation has no clear benefits. By using the case of sister province cooperation between Central Java province and Fujian, this research providing the answer why central java wants to cooperate with Fujian under the scheme sister province due to the massive criticism of Free Trade Area with China. By using Scholte’s Globalization approach, and Botenbal’s lowered politics issue this paper argue that the sister province cooperation between Central Java and Fujian is being conduct for the cause of spillover effect and due to long road historical demographic background between these two provinces.

Abstract

The position of the Regional Representatives Council (DPRD) and the regional head (executive) as partner makes their relationship very important for the success of the regional administration. Harmonious synergy between the two can make local governance objectives achieved effectively and efficiently. This paper reviews the executive and legislative relations in Central Java after a year leadership of Governor Ganjar Pranowo that can be learned by other region.

Abstract

In the era of industry 4.0, technology is projected to dominate all aspects of human life. As a consequence, various industries must be prepared and adapt to technological developments, if they do not want to be left behind and lose. Technological development and information flow are identified as environmental factors that influence the corporation as an organization both internally and externally. This article was created using qualitative analysis methods where the literature approach is the basis for analysis. The purpose of this discussion is to find out the conceptual understanding of communication in the industrial era 4.0. The conclusion of this article is strategic and adaptive corporate communication is very important, given the exchange of information between corporations, the public and the environment will create organizational harmony so that plans and activities can be coordinated and environmental uncertainty can be reduced. The right media identification and analysis will have an impact on effective and on target corporate communication.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is one of the form of strategic alternatives to support and provide the development of economy,  the weakness of SMEs: capital, credibility, labor (minimum wage and social security), the high direct costs, the limited variant of effort, and the limitation of preliminary quality product. Research aims: determine perceptions and attitudes, social and economic impacts of the existence of convection in the City Semarang. Methodololgy: cross sectional, descriptive qualitative analyzed descriptively, presented in narrative form, in five SMEs convection select purposively, resources: SME owners, labor , public figures (head of RT), and community members.                     Results and discussion: Perceptions and attitudes from the environment mostly positive: do not feel any negative effects, SME owners are friendly, willing to socialize with their environment, respond well if there are complaints from environs residents.UKM already have License and non-formal (resident permit and “RT”), but there is a small proportion of the less support because there is less socially SME owners with the surrounding community, there are some employees who behaved arrogance by turning on the music too loud and the use of diesel machhine which cause noise (when the lights went out).  Positive social impact: The owner of SMEs participating in environmental activities: giving donors, doorprize, sports uniforms, ease when residents messaging products, the negative impact: less concerned about an environmental cleanliness, noise music, the use of diesel when the power goes out, the parking of motor less attention to the environment. Positive Economic Impact: Opening recruitment of employment (women), from within and outside the SME environment, with skills and experience, recruitment via the "gepok tular" through the existing workforce, the media (newspaper ad). The development of groceries stores and stalls eating, boarding house  and rented houses around UKM.

Abstract

Public services as the focus of the discipline of Public Administration remains interesting to observe because of the services provided by government officials to the public is still considered unsatisfactory. One of the problems of service in Indonesia is about administrative services, services e – KTP (identity cards). Surakarta and Semarang, both have been doing identity card service. Based on thr results of the initial survey in two cities, there are still many obstacles faced in the creation of identity card service.In this study, researchers will try to describe the service quality of e – KTP in Surakarta and Semarang, and will see no different whether or not the service quality of e – KTP in both cities. Type research used in this study is a quantitative study. The population of all citizens  Surakarta  and Semarang aged over 17 years and over. Becauseof the breadth of both cities used the sampling area, the city of Surakarta elected Laweyan districts and sub- districts of Semarang Pedurungan elected. Then each district taken 100 respondentsby means accidental. Analysis using interpretation of data : use of frequency distribution table predetermined number of respondents in the sample, the average sought to determine the caregories of service quality based on the resulth of the research, supplemented by interviews with respondent and the data to test the hypothesis used different test calculation of services quality in the city of Surakarta and Semarang.The result of this study concluded that the quality of service both in the district e KTPPedurungan  Semarang and Surakarta in district Laweyan results showed good all categories, but it’s god when seen in different positions of the class interval, for the districtLaweyan  Surakarta both categories at the upper limit of the interval 3,11 where as in the district Pedurungan Semarang, good bit closer to the lower limit of interval is 2,89. Based on the calculation results obtained by different test t value is equal to 3,004 with a sig 0.04. because the siq < 0,05 then it can be concluded that Ho is rejected, meaning that the average quality of service in the district Laweyan e KTP Surakarta identuty card service quality in the district of Semarang Pedurungan is not same (different). When viewed from its average of the quality of services in the district Laweyan Surakarta better than the service quality of e KTP in district Pedurungan Semarang. However, the  different is very thin.

Abstract

Loyalitas pelanggan (customer loyalthy) tidak disangkal lagi telah menjadi tujuan strategis yang paling penting dari perusahaan kurun waktu belakang ini. Loyalitas pelangganhanya bisa diraih, jika betul-betul mengerti karakteristik dan kebutuhan pelanggan, serta menawarkan berbagai program loyalitas yang inovatif sesuai dengan kebutuhan mereka. pelanggan yang loyal akan sangan bermanfaat bagi suatu perusahan untuk mengembangkan pangsa pasarnya.Penelitian yang dilakukan ini menggunakan jenis atau tipe penelitian kausalitas. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer. Dalam penelitina ini penggambilan sampel dilakukan secara accidental, sedangkan data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode angket (kuesioner terstruktur). Metoda yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data menggunakan The Struktural Equation Modelling (SEM) dari paket software statistik AMOS digunakandalam model dan pengujian hipotesis.Berdasarkan analisis factor (confirmatory factor analyse), menunjukkan dari tiga indikator atau dimensi yang diajukan untuk mengukur konstruk bauran pemasaran, kepercayaan, loyalitas dan penjualan dapat diterima. Berdasarkan analisa untuk mengevaluasi normalitas data menunjukkan bahwa data yang dgunakan/diumpulkan adalah normal.

Abstract

Pelanggaran kode etik penyelenggara pemilu mengalami peningkatan yang sangat signifikan dari periode pemilu sebelumnya. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari jumlah anggota KPU Kabupaten/Kota se Provinsi Sumatera Barat yang diberhentikan oleh DKPP selama pelaksanaan pemilu tahun 2014 dan pemilihan kepela daerah tahun 2015. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan proses terjadinya pelanggaran kode etik berat tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan mengikuti model penelitian studi kasus. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumen. Penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa pelanggaran kode etik oleh lima orang anggota KPU kabupaten/Kota di Provinsi Sumatera Barat dilakukan karena ada kejadian – kejadian khusus dalam pelaksanaan tahapan pemilu atau pilkada. Kejadian-kejadian khusus tersebut tidak sesuai dengan ketentuan peraturan tentang pemilu atau pilkada. Penelitian ini juga menggambarkan bahwasanya tindakan pelanggaran kode etik yang dilakukan oleh anggota KPU Kabupaten/Kota di Provinsi Sumatera Barat dikarenakan pengetahuan tentang kepemiluan.
