This strengthening waste-based palm oil-cattle integration groups business program is a continuation of the development program in the 2013. It is intended to accelerate and increase production capacity through process technology improvements. The results of the activity show that the group's integrated waste processing business has developed well according to the installed capacity of Biourine A Plus and In-site Trychocompose (ITC) production. The implementation of activities is broadly in line with the target. The achievement of ITC production has been 56% of installed capacity but seen from the production trend has shown the direction towards actual capacity use. The income of group business has a significant increase that almost double. The constraints faced are mainly caused by fluctuations in the supply of the main raw materials (liquid waste and solid cages) as the cattle population changes. Follow-up efforts are to encourage changes in business orientation into a dual purpose: to maintain the balance of composition between male and female livestock, and expansion of partnerships of raw material input with the aim of non-group cattle farmers.

The research aimed to develop coffee-producing villages economic in Belu District through the use of science and technology in community. Various parties (R & D institutions, central and regional governments and villages) participated synergycally in increasing institutional capacity of farmer groups and BUMDes, introducting science and technology utilization, guiding as well as providing production and marketing facilities, equipment for processing coffee commodities (upstream and downstream), providing facilities and infrastructure to access and support agricultural production. Those interventions are expected could transforme coffee-producing village condition from lag behind to become developing villages.

This community service is a free English tutorial for a group of primary schools’ students aged ten years old residing in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta and its surroundings. The program is part of a bigger tutorial program called Bimbingan Belajar Mita (Bimbel Mita) conducted by a non-profit organization that was initiated by the Maria Clarist congregation sisters around eight years ago. The participants of the six-month program were ten students. The method of the community service was teaching the basic English vocabulary through pictorial short English texts and vocabulary games. The former technique was used for the first half of the semester and the latter for the second half of the period. During the tutorial, the students have acquired a number of the targeted English nouns related to objects in the house, garden, animals, colors, professions, fruits, vegetables; verbs related to daily activities at home and adjectives related to descriptions of objects and human beings and some adverbs. In learning the English vocabulary, they show more enthusiasm for games rather than the pictorial reading texts.

Jernang rattan is one of the superior products of Jambi Province, besides palm and rubber, unlike most rattan which is used from the stem, but the used of jernang is the red resin. Jernang has the potential to be integrated in rubber plantations, so it is the right solution to improve the economy of rubber farmers in Liam Lestari Village Mandiangin District, Sarolangun District. The difficulty of getting old seeds as a source of seedlings is a major obstacle in jernang cultivation. In Liam Lestari village, one rubber farmer was found who had made clear integration, but the jernang fruit was often stolen, so that no old seeds were used for seedlings. Community Service Activities with a scheme of Regional Superior Product Development Program (PPPUD) is one solution to overcome the difficulties of seedlings in Mandiangin. The service method used is Participatory Rural Apraisal. PPPUD activities involve the Jernang Lestari farmer group. Based on the results of dedication by protecting the parent tree through fencing with bulian wood, it can overcome the problem of theft of jernang fruit.

Manukan is a village in Bojonegoro Regency which is located in Gayam, Bojonegoro, East Java. The lack of family income from farmer profession requires the community to be more creative in increasing family income. Though Bojonegoro has the potential of Jonegoroan batik, which is attractive and much in demand, not many Bojonegoro people have batik knowledge and skills. Therefore, it is necessary to empower women in developing the Jonegoroan Batik creative industry. It’s carried out through four stages: socialization of Batik Jonegoroan, training on how to make batik, training on developing the creative industries of batik and batik marketing. In this training, participants are trained to understand and practice the process of making batik with four technical coloring and differences between printed batik and written batik. The coloring techniques studied included colekan, semok, kelengan and laseman. Jonegoroan batik products are exhibited and sold online in marketplaces and social media, while offline in batik bazaars and exhibitions. This knowledge and skills can be used as provisions to open up business opportunities for batik craftsmen to increase family income.

This community service activity aims to increase the selling value of local products and the empowerment of entrepreneurs from members of the UPPKS Kalipakem Baru group. This activity focuses on improving life skills, productivity, marketing abilities, and online selling. The service activity delivery is done by the lecture method explaining the importance of making innovative products, improving life skills, the importance of marketing, and selling online. This activity provides training on how to create an online store and open discussions openly with participants. This activity expected that there would be an increase in the ability and expertise of participants in marketing and selling products online. This activity makes the product more known to the public and increases the number of orders so that the income of group members increases.

Bangsal Village is in the South Sumatra region within the district of Ogan Komering Ilir, Pampangan District. Bangsal Village ha potential including buffalo milk, sugar puan, sagon, penjem (a kind of yogurt), curd (a kind of butter for cooking oil), smoked-fish, fish-crackers and swamp-rice with high iron mineral (Fe). Almost the majority of Bangsal villagers are buffalo breeders. The potential possessed by Bangsal Village, if developed, is expected to make the villages has food sovereignty, economic independence and local wisdom as personality in culture. One of the media that can help develop it is Computer and Information Technology (ICT). The ICT can be used as the development of village websites. Bangsal village website can be a media for promotion of potentials and products owned by Bangsal Village. With the website everyone can easily search for information and get to know the Bangsal village without having to go directly to the village. The development of the Bangsal village website requires an active role from the Bangsal village community and community itself. Website management training that has given to several village community participants showed good results. These can be seen from the ability of participants to complete more than 70% of the tasks given by the trainer.

Sungai Duren is one of the villages that has concern of the local government for the provision of clean water because of the difficulty in accessing clean water in the village. The resident do not yet have access for clean water, and still very dependent on Batanghari river water. While the turbidity and water quality of Batanghari river does not have clean water requirements. Based on that facts it is necessary to provide assistance through counseling and demonstration about simple technology to treat and purify Batanghari river water into drinking water by tools and materials that easily obtained and made. Water filtration technology was easily to made and then biochar material can be used as an absorbent. Biochar does not experience further weathering so it would take a long time when it applied as a water filter. The source of biochar was from oil palm empty fruit bunches that not utilized. Some steps that need to be taken so the solution can be realized are first by providing counseling by socialization of the importance of the availability of clean water for community and the use of biochar as an adsorbent for water filtration.

The Urban Forest of HM Sabki has great potential as a tourist destination, not only as a recreation area but also as a center for research and plant conservation. For this reason, the Urban Forest of HM Sabki is expected to be able to provide adequate information about its plants. This community service program creates a plant inventory information system and QR code as a marker of plants that can be scanned using a smartphone. This technology enables visitors to access detailed information about plants. QR code is a printed 2-dimensional image code that can store data. This technology can display information about plants that have been previously entered by the manager into the plant inventory information system. Through this application, the Urban Forest management can easily manage all information about plants.

Pediculosis capitis is a parasitic disease that still often occurs and neglected. Clinical symptoms of this disease are itching on the head that can interfere with daily activities. The orphanage is house to a group of children who live together and is a place at risk for parasitic infestations. This activity aims to determine the incidence of Pediculus humanus capitis infestation, conduct health education in the determine the incidence of the disease, conduct health education in the form of counselling and training to prevent the disease and management of children with pediculosis. This activity was carried out at the orphanage in Pandau Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency. The target subject is all 60 children and caretakers, and the specific target is 54 children of the orphanage. There were 22 (40.7%) children infected with Pediculus humanus capitis. Infected children are given therapy by permethrine 1%. Also given a comb, one child one comb. After the education and training of children and caretakers are expected to be able to apply the knowledge gained so that it can eradicate the disease.
