Abstract

Pasraman is Hindu Education System that had been developed and it has roots in Upanisad education system. The Study about Deskripsi Sistem Pendidikan Hindu dalam Pembangunan Budi Pekerti has purpose to find out about How this education system had been applied; and about how the connection of it with students manners development. The description made base on the study on the implementation of Pasraman education system in this modern era. As the result, we found out that this type of education had delivered big enough contribution to students’ manners development, especially the ones who were active participating in this non formal education. Pasraman is a form of Upanisad education system which has been developed; and has been collaborated with modern education system without ignoring primary Hindu education target, those are to strengthening the understanding and to strengthening the application of tattwa, susila, and upacara. That fact makes Pasraman become a big potential non formal Hindu education system in order to build and develop the students’ manners.

Abstract

Abstrak Para teknokrat telah mengembangkan konsep teknologi tepat guna yang berwawasan lingkungan dan keadilan sosial serta ekonomi yang dimaksudkan untuk mengatasi kesenjangan sosial-ekonomi dan kerusakan lingkungan. Penerapan teknologi tersebut ternyata masih belum dapat mengatasi persoalan kesenjangan sosial-ekonomi dan kerusakan lingkungan. Alam pikiran dan prilaku hidup manusia telah terjebak dalam gelombang loba dan tamak serta keserakahan yang berlindung dibalik pesatnya perkembangan teknologi, dengan berbagai topeng dan alasan diantaranya: globalisasi, daya saing, kreativitas, inovasi, produktivitas, enterpreuner, dan lain-lain slogan yang sangat indah untuk didengar tapi sangat menyakitkan untuk dirasakan. Untuk masa mendatang, teknologi tepat guna saja tidak cukup untuk menembus era global, maka harus dikembangkan Teknologi Bermoral dan Berkarakter, yaitu teknologi yang berwawasan moral, karakter, kemanusiaan, kesejahteraan, keadilan, dan lingkungan hidup.   Kata kunci: teknologi bermoral dan berkarakter Abstract The technocrats have developed the concept of appropriate technology which have a conception of environmental, social justice and economic. They developed it in order to overcome socio-economic inequalities and environmental damage. Applications of these technologies evidently have not been able to overcome the problem yet. Human mind and his behavior have trapped in waves of greed that hide behind the speed of technology development, with variety of masks, and some of the reasons are: globalization, competitiveness, creativity, innovation, productivity, entrepreneur and other slogans which are beautiful to hear; on the other hand, they are painful to fell.For the future, appropriate technology alone is not enough to penetrate the global era; therefore, moral and character technology have to be developed as a technology which have a conception of morality, character, humanity, welfare, justice, and environment.Key words: moral and character technology.

Abstract

Abstract Pakraman Village courage and competent in organizing migrants / Krama Tamiu will surely come from the authority of the traditional village autonomy, also sourced from politics and made laws outlined by the provincial government of Bali itself. Krama Tamiu legal political arrangement certainly has a strategic rationale, one which is not just local government is involved in regulating Krama Tamiu , but also involve the participation of traditional village in implementation.However, often times the legal implementation encountered some obstacles and problems, both technical and non-technical issues, such as the one that occurred in the village of Bayad . Thus the researchers wanted to examine and study more about the "Legal Politics traditional village In regulate Krama Tamiu (Case Study on the village of Bayad, District Ubud, Gianyar regency)".        Issues discussed include (1) Why Krama Tamiu settings need to be done in Bayad Pakraman Village? (2). How Krama Tamiu regulatory mechanisms in Bayad Pakraman Village? and (3) What are the implications and barriers to the implementation of the rules on Krama Tamiu in Bayad Pakraman Village?. Abstract

Abstract Mahatma Gandhi has been a master for himself. Master is meant in the sense that he has mastered all the lust, greed, violence, anger and other negative forms within. People who have been releasing these negative tendencies will have a special quality in it radiates purity, without tendentious and interests to be achieved fully for the common good. Gandhi demonstrated that to achieve this goal, using any means used must be in accordance with morality. By relying on the truth, Gandhi had his political career with courage. ABSTRAKCerita Tantri Kamandaka merupakan cerita rakyat yang diwariskan secara turun temurun yang didalamnya mengandung ajaran-ajaran yang terdapat dalam kitab suci Veda. Dalam cerita “matinya sang kura-kura” disebabkan oleh kesombongan dan kemarahan. Cerita ini sangat baik digunakan sebagai media untuk menyampaikan ajaran-ajaran agama Hindu kepada umatnya serta menghayati serta mengamalkan nilai-nilai yang dipakai pedoman dan tuntunan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dalam masyarakat.Penelitian ini mencoba mengkaji nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam cerita Tantri Kamandaka terutama pada bagian Tjakarangga dan Durbudhi yang isinya menceritakan tentang persahabatan antara angsa dan kura-kura yang mereka bersahabat karena adanya air. Penelitian ini juga dikontekstualisasikan dengan kondisi generasi muda umat Hindu yang telah larut terhadap budaya Global sehingga nilai etika dan moral yang terdapat pada sastra lokal tidak lagi terjamah.Kata Kunci: Tantri Kamandaka, Tjakarangga dan Durbudhi, Nilai PendidikanABSTRACTKamandaka Tantri story is folklore passed down from generation to generation that it contains the teachings contained in the Vedic scriptures. In the story of "the death of the turtle" caused by vanity and anger. The story is very well used as a medium to convey the teachings of Hindu religion to the people, and to live and practice the values used in the guidance and tutelage of everyday life in the community.This study tried to assess the educational value contained in the story, especially on the Tantri Kamandaka Tjakarangga and Durbudhi that it tells the story of the friendship between the swans and turtles that their friendship because of the presence of water. The study also contextualize the conditions of the younger generation of Hindus who have indulged the global culture that values ethics and morals contained in the local literature is no longer untouchable.Keywords: Tantric Kamandaka, Tjakarangga and Durbudhi, Values Education

Abstract

AbstrakWayang kulit Cenk Blonk memiliki corak yang berbeda dengan wayang kulit lainnya, walaupun sama-sama mengajarkan pendidikan etika. Wayang kulit Cenk Blonk lebih digemari oleh masyarakat dibandingkan dengan wayang kulit lainnya diBali, karena wayang kulit Cenk Blonk merupakan wayang kulit kreasi dan inovasi yang mengikuti perkembangan teknologi, namun tidak meninggalkan sarana tradisional.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui peranan wayang kulit Cenk Blonk dalam pendidikan etika, nilai-nilai etika yang terkandung didalamnya, serta strategi penyampaian pendidikan etika Hindu dalam pertunjukannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dan dalam mengumpulkan data digunakan instrumen observasi, wawancara dan kajian pustaka.Munculnya wayang kulit Cenk Blonk ternyata dapat menarik perhatian masyarakat khususnya generasi muda untuk kembali menonton pertunjukan wayang kulit, yang selama ini mulai ditinggalkan akibat adanya degradasi ketertarikan masyarakat untuk menonton wayang kulit, yang diakibatkan oleh kemonotonan dari pertunjukan yang ditampilkan selama ini. Adapun yang membedakan antara wayang kulit pada zaman dulu (tradisional) dengan wayang kulit Cenk Blonk (kontemporer) terdapat pada metode atau strategi penyampaian cerita dan peralatan yang digunakan dalam pertunjukan wayang kulit. Dengan berhasilnya wayang kulit Cenk Blonk menarik kembali perhatian masyarakat untuk menonton wayang kulit, maka dapatlah dikatakan bahwa wayang kulit Cenk Blonk mempunyai peranan yang cukup besar sebagai media penyampaian nilai-nilai pendidikan etika kepada masyarakat.Keywords: Wayang Kulit Cenk Blonk, Media, Pendidikan Etika AbstractWayang Kulit Cenk Blonk has a different style to another puppet, although both teach ethics education. Wayang Cenk Blonk is more favored by the people as compared to others in the Balinese shadow puppets, shadow puppets Cenk Blonk as a puppet creations and innovations that keep up with technology, but do not abandon traditional means.The study was done in order to determine the role of puppet Cenk Blonk in ethics education, ethical values contained therein, as well as Hindu ethics education delivery strategies in the show. This study used a qualitative descriptive methods, and instruments used in collecting the data of observation, interviews and literature review.The emergence of shadow puppets Cenk Blonk was able to attract the attention of the public especially the younger generation to re-watch a puppet show, which has begun to be abandoned due to the degradation of the public interest to watch a puppet show, which is caused by the monotony of the show is shown over the years. As for the difference between shadow play on the old (traditional) with puppet, Cenk Blonk (contemporary) contained in the storytelling methods or strategies and tools used in the puppet show.

Abstract

Abstract To achieve a high level of advancement and prosperity, a country needs noble leader and people. Nobility is developed and nurtured by spiritual values that people learned since the earliest time in their lives. It is in the spiritual educations where the religious and highest philosophical values are embedded.Spiritual educational should not aim at achieving quantitative figures as the  learning objective. Spiritual educational, instead, shoud be capable of internalizing the values in the inner self of the people. Once deeply internalized, the values will be genuinely reflected in the day to day behaviour of all people. This writing highlights some of the universal value of Hindu. All of the highest values scattered in the Hindu scripture of Weda must be spreaded over and repeatedly hum to the heart of all human being. Abstract

Abstract Arthasastra book first examines community by explaining the purpose trayi, anvikshiki, Varta, and danda within the framework of human existence. Then went on to explain warnasrama dharma as the foundation of social order and the general obligations that apply to everyone. As a statesman, Kautilya pay great attention to work and power. Arthasastra reflected elements of democracy, as described in the conception of democracy among other kingdoms or states recognize diversity; folk in the free association or organization; cooperation are independent and harmonious; seek justice; contained the separation and division of powers; powers acquired under the law; election of state officials based on moral qualities and skills; government policy implemented by law; carried out in a planned leadership succession; no freedom of individuals to develop their talents and interests; ensure the protection of the rights and welfare; magnitude of taxes and trading profits stipulated by the agreement, and dispute resolution institutionalized by prioritizing peace. Key Word: Democracy, Arthasastra, politics and the state.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPanca tantra berarti lima ajaran yang merupakan naskah klasik India yang dikenal luas di seluruh dunia sebagai “Nitisastra”, yaitu sastra penuntun kebijaksanaan hidup. Di dalam Panca Tantra terdapat banyak ajaran kebaikan yang patut diteladani sehingga sangat memungkinkan untuk digunakan di dalam proses belajar mengajar. Oleh karena itu, peneliti ingin mencari tahu nilai-nilai pendidikan apa saja yang terdapat dalam cerita Panca Tantra dan juga ingin mengetahui apakah makna dari cerita Panca Tantra dapat meningkatkan kualitas budhi pekerti pada anak didik.Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan model dengan pendekatan kualitatif serta menggunakan beberapa metode yaitu observasi, pencatatan dokumen dan wawancara. Sedangkan untuk menganalisis data dipergunakan metode deskriptif.Berdasarkan dari hasil analisis data, di dalam cerita Panca Tantra terkandung Nilai Tattva, Nilai Etika dan Nilai Yajna. Nilai Tattva meliputi tiga cara dalam memperoleh pengetahuan yaitu melalui Agama Pramana, Anumana Pramana, dan Pratyaksa Pramana. Nilai Etika meliputi tentang persahabatan, tingkah laku yang baik mendengarkan nasehat dari guru dan orang tua. Sedangkan Nilai Yajna mengajarkan anak untuk selalu peduli kepada orang lain.Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah diharapkan anak didik dapat mengaplikasikan nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam cerita Panca Tantra dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Sebagai saran dalam rangka menanamkan nilai-nilai luhur yang disampaikan dalam cerita Panca Tantra, perlu dilakukan sosialisasi melalui media cetak, sekolah-sekolah dan lembaga pendidikan formal maupun informal atau dengan mengadakan lomba cerita fabel. Kata kunci : Panca Tantra, pendidikan, tattva, etika, yajna ABSTRACT Panca Tantra means five tantric teachings which is the classic Indian text known worldwide as "Nitisastra", that is wisdom guiding literary life. In the Panca Tantra there is a good teaching model, allowing for use in teaching and learning.  Therefore, researchers wanted to know what educational values embodied in the story Panca Tantra and also wanted to know whether the meanings of the story Panca Tantra budhi can improve the quality of character in students.In this study, researchers used a model with a qualitative approach and uses several methods of observation, recording of documents and interviews. While the data used to analyze the descriptive method.Based on the results of data analysis, the Panca Tantra story contained Tattva Value, Ethics Value and Yajna Value. Tattva Value includes three ways of gaining knowledge is through Agama Pramana, Anumana Pramana, and Pratyaksa Pramana. Ethics includes the value of friendship, good manners to listen to suggestions from teachers and parents. While the value of Yajna teach children to always care for others.The conclusion of this study is expected that students apply the values of education contained in the Panca Tantra stories in everyday life. By way of suggestion in order to inculcate noble values transmitted in Panca Tantra, socialization must be made through print media, schools and educational institutions, both formal and informal, or through the holding of a contest of short stories.Keyword : Panca Tantra, education, tattva, etika, yajna

Abstract

Abstrak             Istilah gugon tuwon merupakan istilah yang jamak dikenal oleh “orang Bali” (umat Hindu etnis Bali) dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.Pemaknaan gugon tuwon dalam kondisi dewasa ini bagi umat Hindu bisa memberikan silang pendapat, baik yang sepaham atau tidak sepaham dalam memaknai gugon tuwon. Bagi yang tidak sepaham dengan pemaknaan gugon tuwon, mereka akan melihat bahwa gugon tuwon akan dapat melemahkan pengetahuan generasi Hindu, dimana generasi Hindu tidak dapat mendapatkan jawaban mengenai gugon tuwon secara logika.            Penelitian Saudara Made Suasta dalam karya ilmiah skripsi yang berjudul Implementasi Gugon Tuwon Dalam Pendidikan Etika Hindu Pada Masyarakat mengangkat  bagaimanapemaknaan gugon tuwon di dalam masyarakat. Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam penelitian tersebut adalah seberapa jauh kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap gugon tuwon, bagaimana pendidikan etika dalam kehidupan masyarakat dan bagaimana menyikapi gugon tuwon dalam menerapkan etika Hindu.Sedangkan obyek penelitian yang dilakukan adalah masyarakat Hindu di Desa Balinuraga Kecamatan Sidomulyo Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Kata Kunci: Gugon Tuwon, Pendidikan Etika Hindu, Etnis Bali, Lampung Selatan AbstractGugon Tuwon term is known by the plural term "Balinese" (ethnic Balinese Hindus) in everyday life. The meaning of gugon tuwon in today's conditions for Hindus could give conflicting opinions, whether they disagree or not agree on the meaning of gugon tuwon . For those who disagree with the meaning gugon tuwon, they will see that gugon tuwon knowledge generation will be able to weaken the Hindus, where Hindus generation can not get an answer about gugon tuwon logically.Made Suasta research in scientific papers thesis entitled Implementation of Gugon Tuwon In Hindu Ethics Education In Society, examine the meaning of gugon tuwon in society. The problems addressed in these studies is how much public confidence towards gugon tuwon, how ethics education in society and how to respond gugon tuwon in practicing the Hindu ethics.
