Abstract

Perennial philosophy may not be as popular as the other branch of philosophy that is more progressive, although its presence has been started in the 1500s, or even the same since scientific philosophy introduced by ancient philosophers in the Western world. Much earlier, the Hindu tradition in India has Incandesce similar virtues. The problem is, these perennial values are still hidden in the big narratives valve in the social sciences, especially post-modern. The research is just trying to recall that the pluralism and variety of contestation contained in it, still living the eternal values of immortality of all religions. Perennialisme like this would be an option in the future if there is a willingness and ability to live together in diversity. Furthermore, willing to do the inner encounter with religious others, without falling to the generic view that religions are the same, and dare to give appreciation and be fair to all religions. This research also aims to ignite the intellect at the same spirituality that perennialisme widely opens the spaces and the dialectic interaction, even meta-dialogue that results are sometimes not found. With this as context analysis, this research encourages to be discovered and developed in the perennial values of Hinduism not only to fulfill the needs of maintaining inter-religious life, but in Hindu fellowship itself.

Abstract

AbstractTo know and understanding “Catur Purusa Artha”, as one concept of the Hindu’s teaching is very important. But, the most important is how to do in daily life. Fenomena that develop in our country today, are the raising of corruption, robbery, fighting between people of our village, and other amoral behaviors. Today, we know the condition is contrast from that teaching. We have to know, why this condition happened, and what’s the problem. Knowing the problems, I thing could find the solution, and hoping that solution can minimizing the moral degradation. The conclution we have to apply the Catur Purusa Artha in good action. Keyword : Catur Purusa Artha, and the application.

Abstract

Evident From the rate of HIV / AIDS in 2014 which is 2.37% more increased Survey findings Dinas Kesehatan Denpasar City. Hindu students should have to abstain from sexual relations for a review do in the future study. Process communication from various subscribe agents have been conducted in Denpasar , but the phenomenon of sexual deviation still happening rife. Husband inequality interesting to review the study. Three research explores husband lying between problem formulation (1 ) factors - factors that influence sexual deviation Among Hindu Student brahmacaris on period ; (2) the influence of interpersonal communication practices hearts Hindu Student sexuality on brahmacaris period ; (3) Potential emancipation Value brahmacaris on Hindu Student circles .               This study found (1) the factors that influence sexual deviation among others a) cultural factors, students tend to be in interpersonal communication Hindu-dominated western culture; b) the effects of mass media technology that is likely to stimulate sexuality; c) environmental factors, namely the family, school and society tends to occur legitimacy of sexuality; normative gaps in the process of interpersonal communication; d) economic factors, the gap of economic levels and desire learners tend to exceed the needs and lifestyle to follow up the case of commercialization of sexuality e.) a personality that is internal factor consists of a system of knowledge, feelings and instincts contaminated in the process of interpersonal communication; (2) first, interpersonal communication as a process when students decide among others the practice of sexuality chat with seduction sensuality, gifts and materialistic expectations. Secondly, in interpersonal communication tend to be a scholar to interpret brahmacaris bias resulting in internalization of hedonism. Third, interpersonal communication students within the scope of the culture of hedonism that creates sexual relationship. Abstract

Create a learning environment that is naturally necessary to have good communication among students and between students and teachers, while the form of communication is to encourage students to make connections with the knowledge application in their lives as members of the family and community with the application process carried out naturally, for example, to communicate and sit together in the practice of making cymbals as a means of Hindu religious ceremonies, with the concept, the learning outcomes expected to be more meaningful for students. In contextual barriers often faced is not communicative students sitting together in these activities, generally they busy themselves with the means of communication that they carry, such as HP, IPAD and IPHONE, although the rules at school are already rules ban, though given sanction , students still repeating his actions. The reality of what happened above reminds us that, the education we've done so far has not been able to achieve the objectives (outcomes) effectively and efficiently. With the implementation of interpersonal communication in the learning Hinduism in SMP Negeri 8 Mataram, is expected to provide improved quality, process and the outcome.The problem formulated in this study is how the interpersonal communication in teaching Hinduism in Junior High School 8 Mataram and any obstacles encountered during the implementation of interpersonal communication in teaching Hinduism in Junior High School 8 Mataram theory used in this study is a communication theory of Edgar Dale, theories of learning and motivation theory. This study uses a sociological approach, which examines on social interactions that occur in the learning process Hinduism in SMP Negeri 8 Mataram, both among students, teachers and the surrounding community.While this research is a qualitative research, this research means emphasis on the quality of the research object, the interpersonal communication in teaching Hinduism in SMP Negeri 8 Mataram. In conclusion, namely interpersonal communication in teaching Hinduism in Junior High School 8 Mataram, namely: 1) Teacher Hinduism in Junior High School 8 Mataram are applying interpersonal communication management in Learning Hinduism to improve the quality of learning, with steps activities as follows: initial activity, core activities and events end the learning process, 2) School of Hinduism emphasizes the application of learning to use interpersonal communication in the classroom, so that it is used in the application of communication theory, theories of learning and motivation theory as the process of formation of students' knowledge, thus students are actively engaged in thinking, draft and give meaning about the things that are being studied. Underlying interpersonal communication in the classroom learning the Hindu religion are as follows: Production of messages, message processing, coordination and perception of social interaction. Obstacles encountered during the implementation of learning management Interpersonal communication Hinduism in Junior High School 8 Mataram is due to appear on the student's internal factors such as: 1) motivation interinsik weak students and 2) students are less cooperative and avoid responsibility. While external factors occur due to: lack of support for parents of children and teachers still carry traditional learning, whereas in contextual learning the teacher should have to have an open nature, and can help students become open, can cooperate in order to power sharing and can act as facilitators in the learning activities.

Abstract

Based on the research I have done that the building of the temple started worshiping phallus shaped palinggih, there Meru and ancestral shrines to gods and ancestral shrines and destructive to the sacred spirits of ancestors. There are also ambiguities in the roof level Meru, Meru for example, there are sacred ancestral spirits rise 7 and 3-storey meru to god. It is physically difficult to distinguish, although the difference is, there is the type of padagingannya. It is what drives Dang Hyang Nirartha make palinggih shaped padmàsana to Hyang Widhi and also distinguish palinggih worship god  and the holy spirit ancestors. In a further development of the temple used the word next to the word kahyanganatau parhyangandcngan sense as a holy place to worship Hyang Widhi (with all its manifestations) and bhaþàra or dewapitara the sacred ancestral spirits. Through the temple building is the culmination holiness will be realized, the sanctity of a person's heart would be easier to get closer to the adult Widhi hyang, the devas, Ida bhattara-bhattari sacred and ancestral spirits. With a sense of the people will feel close to his gift and will strive to improve personal holiness, sanctity of the family and the environment by doing self-control. In accordance with the development of the emerging discourse to make the temple not only as a place to worship God in various manifestations, but also as a place of education. Linkage to this study is the lack of understanding by parents about the execution behavior and speech patterns that will be imitated by children. The role of the temple as a place for social activity is the cultivation of ethical values to be adopted by the younger generation. Furthermore, the temple building is a symbol that has a philosophical meaning that describes the existence of a symbol describing the fertility and prosperity, in addition there is a meaning of unity, prosperity and happiness.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertitik tolak dari keprihatinan faktual bahwa sejatinya agama-agama telah mengamanatkan akan pentingnya umat memedulikan dimensi ekologis. Hal itu jelas dari doktrin-doktrin agama-agama. Akan tetapi fakta menunjukkan adanya kerusakan alam yang semakin parah dengan maraknya eksploitasi alam biotik maupun abiotik oleh manusia. Mengacu pada telaah Alfred Whitehead melalui Filsafat Proses-nya dan Skolimowski dengan konsepnya tentang kesakralan alam di mana manusia menjadi penjaga kesakralannya, kajian ini mau menyimpulkan bahwa manusia perlu kembali menghargai alam sebagaimana telah diamanatkan agama maupun alam yang telah rusak itu sendiri yang memanggil manusia untuk tidak memusuhinya, melainkan bersahabat dengan alam sebagai wujud pertobatan manusia yang telah lama mengabaikan dimensi ekospiritual dalam keimanannya, sehingga manusia menjadi diri yang ekologis.

Abstract

This study discusses about the value of teaching the loyalty of Devi Savitri in Vana Parwa. This theme was created based on the phenomenon of the declining value of faithfulness between husband and wife in married life, as they appear in the mass media and real life which are affairs and divorce in marriage. Related to that phenomenon, writer invites people began to improve itself by studying Hindu literature. Which one of them is Devi Savitri's story in the Vana Parva, which can be used as guidance in run a married life. This study tried to explore the value of teaching the loyalty of Devi Savitri in Vana Parwa, as well as its still  relevance in this era. This research is a literature study. Using the concept the value of teaching the loyalty of Devi Savitri, and Vana Parva. The results of this study found that  Devi Savitri was the wife who uphold the Satya concepts, such as Satya Wacana, Satya Hredaya, Satya Laksana, Satya Mitra and Satya Samaya. Furthermore, Devi Savitri also act with love and devotion to her family.  In order to the values and the concepts can be applied  in this era.

Abstract

Apa pentingnya kearifan lokal, terutama untuk zaman sekarang? Tulisan ini berusaha meyakinkan bahwa kearifan lokal sangat berguna bagi kehidupan manusia di berbagai zaman. Masyarakat Baduy, kendatipun dekat dengan kepungan modernitas di sekelilingnya, hanya berjarak sekitar 175 KM dari Ibu Kota Jakarta, mereka berada di perkampungan Kanekes, di kawasan Gunung Kendeng, Lebak, Banten,  masih tetap kukuh pada kepercayaan  karuhun (leluhur) dan segala  ritual yang menyertainya. Ritual-ritual yang dilakukan bukan sekedar rutinitas atau bersenang-senang. Tetapi menjadi budaya yang menyiratkan simbol penjagaan terhadap amanat karuhun. Dari sini muncul diskusi-diskusi tentang nilai-nilai luhur menyangkut aspek sejati kehidupan manusia. Ternyata masyarakat Baduy adalah masyarakat yang taat terhadap sang Pencipta, patuh terhadap leluhur, hormat terhadap alam dan harmonis dalam kehidupan Masyarakat Baduy meyakini kehidupan ini adalah anugerah dari Pangeran, Tuhan  Maha Kuasa, yang harus dijaga. Masyarakat Baduy berpegang pada ‘pikukuh’ dan pitutur “Lojor teu meunang dipotong, Pondok teu meunang disambung (Panjang tak boleh dipotong, pendek tak boleh disambung”.
