Abstract

This study aims to provide understanding to the community, especially teenagers in Sekura Village regarding the negative impacts of the Mobile Legends online game so that they can reduce their playing hours so as not to cause addiction that results in them. This research was conducted using a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, the determination of informants was carried out using the purposive sampling method, namely adolescents aged 17-21 years who were addicted to online games and parents of these adolescents. The results of this study show that there is a phenomenon of online game addiction that occurs in Sekura Village and is mostly experienced by mid-to-late adolescent adolescents, because at that age it is very vulnerable to the impact of online games due to their immature minds and still want to play a lot. The causative factors of online game addiction are boredom so looking for more fun things, following friends and lack of supervision from parents. The negative impact of Mobile Legends game addiction results in teenagers wasting their time on things that are not useful, often and easily speak abusive or negative language, health that is not maintained properly, and ignore the people around them

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui eksistensi tradisi Roto Gaja Lumpat dalam merajut harmoni sosial di Desa Gonting Garoga, Kecamatan Garoga, Kabupaten Tapanuli Utara. Tradisi Roto Gaja Lumpat masih dapat disaksikan pelaksanaannya hingga masa kini, walau tradisi ini hanya terdapat di daerah Kecamatan Garoga sekitarnya. Tradisi ini dilaksanakan pada adat kematian saur matua seseorang yang berdasarkan ketentuan adat setempat berhak dan wajib dilaksanakan Roto Gajah Lumpat sebelum jenazah dimakamkan. Orang-orang memiliki peran sebagai pembuat dan pelaksana maupun sebagai yang menyaksikan tradisi ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian etnografi. Wawancara mendalam dilakukan dengan mengemukakan pertanyaan deskriptif dan struktural terhadap informan kunci. Sebagai hasil penelitian, tradisi ini hanya diberlakukan terhadap orang tertentu yang status meninggalnya sudah saur matua dan dan dihormati, serta merupakan keturunan penduduk asli yang dahulu membuka perkampungan di desa itu. Apabila ada di antara orang tua marga mereka ada yang meninggal dengan status adat “mate saur matua,” maka akan mengalami perlakuan khusus, terangkum dalam sebuah upacara adat kematian. Orang yang meninggal akan diberangkatkan menggunakan roto gaja lumpat sebagai simbol penghormatan terakhir kepada mendiang. Roto Gaja Lumpat sebagai kendaraan pengantar jenazah ke pemakaman melambangkan/menyerupai seekor gajah yang dianggap sebagai berhikmah dan melambangkan simbol kerajaan bagi orang Batak yang ada di Desa Gonting Garoga. Dalam tradisi tersebut, kematian ditanggapi dengan rasa syukur dan sukacita.

Abstract

This article argues the cultural values of sasi ikan lompa as a culture-based mentoring approach. The local culture-based approach is an illustration of a contextual mentoring approach based on local wisdom which is a characteristic of the multicultural Indonesian nation. This research uses a qualitative ethnographic method by obtaining data through observation, interviews, and literature study. The data analysis technique used is through the stages of data reduction, data processing, and conclusion. The research results obtained are first; Lompa fish sasi can be used as culture-based assistance in society because it contains the values of assistance regarding guidance, solidarity, harmony, masohi (cooperation). Second, assistance based on cultural values can create a reconciliation effort for indigenous communities on Haruku Island where conflicts often occur between countries/villages. Third, a culture-based mentoring approach shows the alignment of Indigenous communities towards ecological justice. Abstract

The tradition of traveling takbir at the Ali Maksum Foundation Krapyak Islamic Boarding School has become a routine every year in the month of Zulhijjah. During the activity, participants wore a variety of attractive clothing that brought Islamic and cultural elements. This research aims to explain the values contained in the clothing worn, because each clothing worn by each group of participants has messages to be conveyed to the audience or judge. The approach used in qualitative research is a literature study approach which refers to sources related to the research. The results of this research show that the clothing worn by each participant has a hidden meaning. For example, Muslim clothing depicts Santri as figures who are protected from all evil, batik clothing depicts the diversity of Santri in terms of race, ethnicity, culture, vision and mission. Surjan clothing symbolizes elegance. Not everyone can become a Santri, but everyone has the opportunity to become a Santri. Umaro’s clothing illustrates that Santri are future leaders. Jarik clothing depicts Santri as humble figures who are far from arrogant.

Abstract

Mbere besi mersik it is a Tradition that is believed to be a tradition that aims to strengthen a person ‘s spirit or soul. From here it became known to the community and now because it has a big impact on those who practice this tradition, for the community Mbetung, here it can be a solution related to problems such as poor health, disharmonius household, married but without the blessing of their parents. And haven’t tried it yet. partner this can be overcome by carrying out the tradition of clean revision by the community Mbetung.There are several kinds of values and symbols contained in the mersik iron Mbere tradition, research was carried out with the aim of describing what values and symbols are contained in the mersik iron Mbere tradition which has a huge impact on the lives of the people in Mbetung Village. The research method is using qualitative research with a descriptive approach where data is collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with 11 informants, and documentation. The results of the research explain what the symbolic values and importance of the mersik iron mbere tradition are and what impacts are experienced by the people of Mbetung village, Juhar subdistrict. The traditional values of the mersik iron mbere are an introspective attitude, the value of respecting ancestors, the value of a humble attitude, this tradition is carried out based on the Karo calendar which functions to see good days as a belief in the smooth running of the event that will be held, as for the location of the tardisi ino at home. bere, namely those who experience pain or irregularities

Abstract

This research aims to explore the exclusivism of local Pemena adherents. Pemena's local beliefs can be classified as animism, namely belief and belief in ancestral spirits. The results of the research show data related to the background of the exclusivism attitudes of Pemena adherents, forms of exclusivism, symbols of violence faced by Pemena adherents, and strategies for maintaining local Pemena beliefs. This research uses a qualitative method with a Spradley ethnographic approach, this aims to describe the current (ethnographic) picture of the religious life of local Pemena beliefs in Kidupen Village. The background to the exclusivism attitude of Pemena adherents is inseparable from symbolic violence in the form of stigmatization of being considered devil worshipers (begu). This situation has been going on since the New Order until now and has had the impact of the discriminatory treatment they have experienced.

Abstract

The agrarian problem in Sumenep has become an interesting issue in recent years. Many investors, both from inside and outside, are coming in, from the tanah sangkol becoming shrimp ponds, beaches that are starting to disappear, and rice fields that are starting to be planted with iron for hotels and housing. In fact, Sumenep, which has historical roots in the genealogy of eco-theology in environmental conservation, must now be questioned. Qualitative research as a method for obtaining in-depth data using observation and deep interview, the data obtained will be analyzed by data collection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the eco-theological genealogy of the Sumenep community in preserving the environment can be seen in the form of the socio-historical genealogy of Syeh Ahmad Baidlawi or known as kiai Katandur ,who preaches an agricultural approach. Apart from that, the identity of the people of Sumenep is part of their "Kemadura" identity tanah sangkol is a source of pride for the people of Sumenep, one way of caring for the land and the environment is now starting to be questioned.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk pengetahuan lokal yang digunakan oleh nelayan tradisional di Desa Kota Pari. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode penelitian etnografi dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi partisipasi, wawancara mendalam (indeep interview) dengan 9 orang informan, dokumentasi, dan setiap kegiatan penelitian diceritakan dalam bentuk catatan lapangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwasanya terdapat bentuk-bentuk pengetahuan lokal nelayan tradisional di Desa Kota Pari dalam melaksanakan aktivitas melaut yang meliputi pengetahuan sebelum melaut, sedang melaut, dan sesudah melaut. Adapun bentuk-bentuk pengetahuan sebelum melaut yaitu terlebih dahulu nelayan menentukan musim penangkapan, mempersiapkan alat tangkap dan transportasi berupa sampan serta yang terpenting membaca tanda-tanda bahaya dilaut. Berikutnya, pengetahuan saat melaut yaitu menentukan lokasi penangkapan yang terdiri dari lundang, beting, dan tuasan serta menyesuaikan teknik penangkapan yang terdiri dari melaboh dan melingkong setelah melaut nelayan akan menggunakan gala-gala untuk merawat sampan agar tetap awet.

Abstract

This research examines the dual role of sandwich generation women in the public and domestic spheres. The sandwich generation here refers to individuals, especially women, who have to take care of their children while caring for their parents. So that sandwich generation women have a greater role in the family. The main purpose of this study is to describe the dual role of sandwich generation women and analyze how sandwich generation women balance their roles in the domestic and public spheres as well as the forms of dual roles carried out in everyday life. The research method used is qualitative method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews and participatory observation with sandwich generation women in Batubara Regency. The results showed that the role of sandwich generation women in Batubara Regency has increased significantly. The dual roles experienced by sandwich generation women are reproductive, production and social roles. In the domestic space, they act as primary caregivers who provide physical and emotional needs for family members. Meanwhile, in the public sphere, they play an active role in the world of work and social activities, even as the main breadwinner. They carry out dual roles by balancing work and family responsibilities

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of istighosah on emotional control of Jama'ah Majelis Ta'lim Miftahul Huda, Corner Village, Ponggok District, Blitar Regency. The research method used is a quantitative research method used to examine certain populations or samples, data collection using research instruments, quantitative / statistical data analysis with the aim of testing hypotheses that have been set. The approach used in this study is an associative approach, which is research that aims to determine the relationship between two or more variables Data analysis techniques used simple linear regression. The results of this study show that there is a positive and significant influence between istighosah on emotional control of Jama'ah Majelis Ta'lim Miftahul Huda, Desa Corner, Ponggok District, Blitar Regency, which means that the higher the istighosah activities in the congregation, the higher the emotional control of the Jama'ah Majlis Ta'lim.
