Abstract

Irrigation modernization as a fundamental transformation of irrigation water resources management which aims to increase the utilization of human resources and services provided to a farmer in an effective, efficient, and sustainable manner based on the five pillars of irrigation modernization. This study aims to evaluate the readiness of modernization Krueng Jreu Irrigation Area based on the 5 pillars of irrigation modernization. The research method was observation, interview, and research documentation. The results showed that the index value of modernization readiness in Krueng Jreu on the pillars of water availability with a value of 10, the pillars of irrigation infrastructure with a value of 19.8. Pillars of the irrigation management system with a value of 14, the pillars of irrigation management institutions with a value of 9 and the pillars of human resources for irrigation management with a value of 6. The total value of the index for modernization readiness in Krueng Jreu is 58.8 which is categorized as sufficient, irrigation modernization is postponed and must make improvements within 1-2 years.

Abstract

The hospital is a health service building, a place of transmission of disease and allows environmental pollution and health problems. One of the prevention of disease transmission and environmental pollution, it is necessary to do repairs and improvements by using a plumbing system to have good sanitation and environmental friendly. In this case, needed to know how much water can save by method comparing between plumbing tools conventional and non-conventional standar. UNSRAT’s hospital has a population of 2,962 people who needed clean water distribution of 372,48 m3/ day. Compared by using conventional plumbing tools is 66,72 m3/hari, meanwhile non-conventional plumbing tools is 39,60 m3/hari, it shown that using non-conventional plumbing  tools standard is more saving than conventional standard, where percentage non-conventional water saving is 40,64%. Also expected that the resulting domestic wastewater will be reduced by 31,68 m3/ day. This is more important than water savings in the amount of Rp. 3.564.000 and domestic wastewater treatment costs Rp. 9.500.000.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of tropical countries that rich in natural resources. It has more than a thousand of medicinal plants. This study focused on assessing the potential of phytochemical content gambir leaves from Southeast Aceh as an alternative of antidiabetes through inhibition of alpha amylase enzyme. Steps of research to be conducted consist of: (1) Making dry simplisia from gambir leaves; extraction of gambir leaves by maceration for 2x24 hours and screening done every 24 hours, and solvent evaporation to obtain the dry extract of gambir; (2) Analysis of phytochemical (phenolic, flavonoid and tannin) content of ethanol extract of gambir leaves; and (3) Analysis of chemical components using GC-MS. The results showed that the moisture content of powder gambir leaves was 3,017%, which is still below the national standard. The ethanol extract contained a rendement of 2,47 gr / gr of dry weight. The inhibition activity of alpha amylase enzyme was obtained at a sample concentration of 1000 ppm , e.i 88.22%. The more active a sample in inhibiting the action of the alpha-amylase enzyme, the less the 3-amino-5-nitrosalisilic acid formed in the second stage of enzyme activation. The results of phytochemicalanalysis of ethanol extract of gambir leaves from Southeast Aceh showed secondary metabolite content such as Total Phenolic, Total Flavonoid, and Tanin respectively of 71, 80; 32, 06 and 58.39%. The chemical components, e.i the total phenolics, flavonoids and tannins have been reported to have antidiabetic activity by lowering blood sugar levels after inhibition testing via the alpha amylase enzyme.

Abstract

Inventory management is an essential aspect of supporting good production planning in company business activities. The implementation of inventory management in the company is a primary need. If there is a problem in the supply of raw materials, all the company's operational activities will be disrupted. Inventories in manufacturing usually consist of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods or final products. Inventories of arm rear brake materials for the production process often experience shortages due to immature controls. This study aims to determine the inventory control of rear arm brake raw materials using the Economy Order Quantity (EOQ) method at PT. Ciptaunggul Karya Abadi. Based on the discussion results, it was found that ordering raw materials was carried out two times a year with a total order of 621 pieces with 86 pieces of safety stock and will be ordered again when raw materials collected 21 pieces. Total Inventory Cost (TIC), which was initially Rp110.264.235,00, can be saved to Rp70.598.399,00 so that the total savings that occur are Rp39.674.899,00 which is equal to 33.26%.

Abstract

Currently, technological development is very much needed as information systems are increasingly stringent and require the readiness of an organization. Government agencies very much manage and serve the community so that the role of government is very influential to serve the community for example for the management of correspondence. The use of the existing mail information system does not meet the standards of technological development, because the existing data processing system is still done manually using Microsoft Word. The problem that is often faced when making a letter by hand is that people who make a letter have to wait a long time, because officers must input data manually. The purpose of this research is to create a system to serve the public in making letters, so that officers can provide services quickly and accurately. The results of this study are the information system that was designed to be able to provide convenience and update the administration of the letter agenda that previously was still using the manual method.

Abstract

Agricultural waste such as rice straw, rice husk and rice husk ash have not been utilized properly. This waste of agricultural produce can actually be used as an alternative to bionanofiller because it contains an excellent source of silica. The silica content contained in the rice waste when combined with the polymer matrix can produce composites having high thermal and mechanical properties. Characterization of bionanofiller from this rice waste is done by SEM, XRF, FTIR, XRD and particle density. The result of SEM analysis from this rice waste is feasible to be used as filler because it has size 1 μm. Likewise with the results of XRF analysis that rice waste contains a high enough silica component that is 80.6255% - 89.83%. FTIR test results also show that bionanoparticles from rice waste have the same content of silica. In the XRD analysis the best selective gain of rice waste is found in rice husk ash which is characteristic of amorp silica at a range of 2ϴ = 22. The largest density analysis of paddy waste was found in rice husk 0.0419 gr / cm , followed by rice straw by of 0.0417 gr / cm 3 and rice hulk ash 0.0407 g / cm 3

Abstract

Land conversion activities cause changes in the area of vegetation and carbon storage in the air. These changes can lead to emissions (reduction of carbon stocks) or sequestration (addition of carbon stocks). This study aims to calculate stored carbon in the Padang watershed in 2009 and 2019 and to determine the dynamics of emissions and carbon sequestration due to land conversion in the Padang watershed, North Sumatra Province from 2009 to 2019. The method used in this research is spatial data processing using software Arc Gis. Processing, interpretation and classification of land cover are obtained from land cover data for 2009 and 2019 from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Furthermore, the analysis of emissions and carbon sequestration in the Padang watershed was carried out using the REDD Abacus SP software. The results showed that the total carbon stored in 2009 was 5,168,464.09 tons. Meanwhile, the total carbon stored in 2019 was 5,150,784.81 tons. This means that there is a decrease or carbon emission during the 2009-2019 period of 17,679.28 tons. The total net emissions and sequestration that occurred in the Padang watershed due to changes in land use from 2009 - 2019 were 22,851,751.43 tonnes CO2-eq / year and  3,100,199.00 tonnes CO2-eq / year, respectively. Efforts to reduce emissions include planting and developing forests and community-based forest management.

Abstract

Flat X will be built to meet the demand for  simple and affordable homes  in Sumedang Regency. The construction of an apartment must be equipped with adequate plumbing for clean water and wastewater so  that the health of the residents is maintained. The purpose of this research is to plan the need for clean water, including the calculate dimensions of the  groundwater reservoir , roof reservoir,  and clean water pipe  and calculate  wastewater discharges ( grey  and black water) and calculate the use  of greywater recycling.  Recycled water is used in the rinsing  and watering of plants. Research  results for   a flat population that can reach  3,658 people, the total requirement for  clean water which  is 311 m3/day, the volume of underground reservoir  1 and 2 each 352 m3 and 165 m3. The volume of roof reservoir  1 and 2 is  42 m3 and 34 m3, respectively. The diameter of the r first class clean water pipe has a range of 20-25 mm, the diameter of the  second class clean water pipe has a range of 25-25 mm, pipe diameter greywater has a range from  48-60 mm, pipe diameter black water range 48-114 mm. Greywater treatment is carried out using a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) which has a volume of 200 m3. The results of the treatment efficiency  are 80%, so the recycling process is capable of  saving  51% of clean water.

Abstract

Indonesia as the largest producer of palm oil, produces huge palm oil wastewater. The wastewater produces biogas which contributes to global warming, and the utilization of the biogas reduces GHG emissions of methane gas. By increasing the concentration of methane gas in the biogas, and increasing the gas pressure of biomethane, so-called bioCNG (Compressed Natural Gas), the gas utilization easier in the transportation and the energy content of the gas increases. In this paper, an assessment of the economics of bioCNG production facility in the Palm Oil Mill (POM) with a capacity of 60 tons/hour was conducted. The investment cost is estimated based on the biogas flow rate produced from an aerobic digester in the POM. By using a covered lagoon technology for anaerobic digester, and technology of membrane for gas purification, and based on the natural gas trading regulations, the selling price of bioCNG is determined by 10.27 USD/MMBTU with an IRR of 12%. This price can compete with the prices of other fossil fuels. However, the support from government regulations are still needed to utilize bioCNG as a new renewable fuel that can contribute to national energy security, GHG reduction, and achievement of the mix energy target.

Abstract

The lack of domestic wastewater management services in the Cibabat River Basin has resulted in the Cibabat River being a place to collect domestic wastewater. This of course can reduce water quality  as well as reduce the function of the river itself.  The Cibabat river is known to be a sub-watershed of the Citarum River with a surface   area of  1,855 km2. Activities in the Cibabat watershed  contribute  to the pollution load that  causes the water quality of the Cibabat River to decline, which of course has an impact on the decrease  in the quality of the river and increase  in the polluting  load that the river will receive. The research method uses the calculation of the pollutant  load based on Permen LH 115/2003. The data used are  secondary data from DLH Cimahi City, which  conducted a water quality analysis at three points during  three different seasons in 2019. One of the steps to overcome and control the pollution that occurs is to determine the actual pollutant load so that it can easily determine the application of effective technology  for controlling river water pollution  in the Cibabat River at theCimahi City.
