Abstract

Hospital X was class b private hospitals that are located in Batam with 297 unit beds. The waste that can be categorized as solid waste medical in the hospital which is infectious, pharmacy, hazardous and toxic waste, cytotoxic, sharp object.  The purpose of this research is to identify, a source of , the characteristics, solid waste medical produced by hospital X in Batam and also conduct an evaluation of solid waste medical management hospital in accordance with the minister of environment and forestry 56 2015 on procedures and technical requirements of hazardous and toxic waste management than health service facilities. This research used primary and secondary data collection method. The research results show solid waste medical management at the hospital X in Batam most of them are in according to rule. But there are some things that must be improved are blinding trash bag, efficiency and minimal temparature the combustion chamber incinerator. Management efforts must to do are briefing to officer of the waste collection about the way to blinding trash bag in according to the regulation and the incinerator that can serve confirming to standard of burning hazardous and toxic waste.

Abstract

Hollow block precast concrete which was combined into a beam casting by adding concrete and steel inside and called as “hollow block reinforcement concrete beam”. The aim of this research was to knowing the crack pattern due to the connection of hollow block reinforcement concrete beam. The specification of ACI (American Concrete Institute) 211.3R-02 and ASTM (American Society for Testing of Materials) were used in this research. The object were two normal reinforcement concrete beam and two hollow block reinforcement concrete beam with size 15 cm x 20 cm x 210 cm. The reinforcement concrete beam was tested by using load cell. The result showed the variety of crack pattern which are flexural crack and flexural-shear crack. For normal reinforcement concrete beam, flexural crack formed at 0.95 ton and flexural-shear crack at 2.83 ton with its duration was 5 minutes and 29 seconds. For hollow block reinforcement concrete beam, flexural crack formed at 1.16 ton and flexural-shear crack at 1.98 ton with its durat on was 6 minutes and 8 seconds. The result also showed that hollow block reinforcement concrete beam was more ductile due to crack pattern than normal reinforcement concrete beam.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of erosion in various types of land use in Merdeka District. This research used erotic prediction analysis survey method with Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) method. The parameters measured in this research are erosivitas, erodibility, length and slope of the slope, cover vegetation, conservation measures, soil effective depth, soil density. The techniques of collecting and analyzing the research data are: making of land unit, field data collection, rainfall data analysis, soil analysis, and map analysis. The results showed that the rate of erosion in Merdeka District was 13,250,049 ton / ha / year with average erosion rate reached 1,261,909 ton / ha / year. The highest erosion rate was found in land use area of 2,959,018 tons / ha / year, while the lowest erosion was found on the use of settlement land of 29,810 tons / ha / year.

Abstract

PT Sari Tani Sumatera uses the WWTP system in method stabilization pond with the aim that the level of wastewater produced can be reduced efficiently and naturally. But the biggest problem is, they have is in the environmental aspect of the generated wastewater because it contains cyanide compounds that have  potential to pollute the Rambung River. In addition, physical factors and the dimensions of the pond also have a major influence on the industrial wastewater treatment of PT Sari Tani Sumatra. To prevent pollution, an evaluation was carried out in the form of an analysis of the discharge and wastewater content, as well as an analysis of the dimensions of the pond. From the evaluation results, there is a calculation of the discharge water discharge reaching 500 m3/day with the wastewater content dominated by BOD and Cyanide. Furthermore, in the analysis of the dimensions of the pond, there are 2 out of 9 ponds that have problems due to increasing the level of wastewater, even though the detention time and depth still meet the design criteria for the dimensions of the pond. In order to obtain optimal WWTP processing, it is necessary to recommend recommendations from the evaluation results.

Abstract

This research proposed a method to produce activated carbon from rice husk by carbonation process, physical activation and chemical activation using NaOH. The performance of activated carbon was tested by batch experiments in which the adsorption system contained 1 g of rice husk activated carbon in 100 mL of artificial wastewater with initial concentration of Cu(II) ion being 148.26 mg/L, initial pH 6, at 27 oC and 1 atm to determine the efficiency of reducing Cu(II) ion over the contact time and presence of stirring on chemical activation. The results showed that the efficiency of reducing Cu(II) ion by rice husk activated carbon increased exponentially with increasing contact time with a maximum value of 74.33% at 90 minutes of contact time. The results also showed that stirring on chemical activation increased the efficiency of Cu(II) ion reduction by 14.94%. Adsorption kinetics studies showed that Cu(II) ion reduction followed the pseudo-second order adsorption equation with the adsorption capacity of 10.18 mg/g and  adsorption rate constant of 0.0013 g/mg.min for rice husk activated carbon without stirring in the chemical activation. Stirring in the chemical activation.increased the capacity and rate of adsorption constant to 12.07 mg/g and 0.0052 g/mg.min, respectively.

Abstract

Muntok White Pepper merupakan produk lada Bangka yang sudah terkenal dari sejak dulu dengan kualitas lada yang diakui paling baik diantara lada yang lainnya.  Muntok White pepper masih menjadi unggulan hasil pertanian di Bangka Belitung serta merupakan komoditi unggulan yang sudah terkenal di seluruh dunia. Dalam Penelitian ini, penekanan yang hendak diambil adalah pemanfaatan Internet dan aplikasi android sebagai sarana pengelolaan data tentang Muntok White Pepper mulai dari lahan, informasi bibit, produksi, perawatan serta harga dan ekspor Muntok White Pepper. Potensi pengelolaan secara digitalisasi data Muntok White Pepper lebih baik dengan pengelolaan terpusat serta informasi Muntok White Pepper yang lengkap untuk memudahkan mendapatkan produktivitas, luas lahan dan ekspor lada secara lengkap. Dengan menggunakan website yang dapat diakses secara daring dan Aplikasi android untuk membuat akses yang luas dan sistem pengelolaan data Muntok White Pepper  apat berbasis web secara lengkap dan update yang bias menjadi rujukan dalam mencari informasi tentang Muntok White Pepper bagi Bangka Belitung maupun orang luar.

Abstract

Tourism area is expected to provide multiplier effects that encourage economic growth in Bangka Regency beside tin mining and farming. For a better way of managing of tourist destinations, preparation   of various aspects is required and the preparations are getting ready  for development of tourism in Bangka Regency area, especially the use of information technology and the Internet. In this study, the main key for  managing tourism based on information technology  is the management of tourist destinations in Bangka Regency, such as Matras Beach, Tongaci Beach, Tikus Mas Beach, Puri Tri Agung and so on which can be used as an interesting and unique destination for tourists to visit. Tourism management using information technology, especially Internet and android applications for tourism management in Bangka Regency to make it better and easier for both the government and tourists for controlling the data about tourism. This system is built using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for make the system built correctly. The purpose is to  manage the tourism system  effectively and by using  Internet and Android, many people can  get informed about tourist attractions in Bangka Regency so  it is to be hoped that many people are interested in visiting tourist attractions in Bangka Regency. This tourism management aims to facilitate the delivery of tourist information and management of tourism destinations in Bangka Regency to make tourists easier and more comfortable when on trips in Bangka Regency.

Abstract

Solid Waste Processing Technology at the Source (TOSS) is an alternative method in processing organic and biomass waste on a communal scale. The processing of organic and biomass waste material is carried out in three stages of the process: biodrying which utilizes the aerobic activity of microorganisms; chopping which is intended to refine the material, and pelletization to compact the material into biomass pellets. The biodrying process in bamboo boxes is able to reduce the water content in organic and biomass waste within 4-5 days. Sorting of non-organic materials can be done at an early stage before or after the biodrying process. Sorting is required before chopping and pelletizing process to avoid unnecessary machine break down. The biomass pellet which is the final product has a diameter of about 10 mm with a length between 10-40 mm, a calorific value between 3000-4000 kcal/kg, and a moisture content of up to 15%. Compared to coal, biomass pellets tend to have higher volatile and ash content, while lower ash and sulfur content.

Abstract

The increase of population in an area will have an impact on the level of density of the area, so that the emergence of a wild settlement that utilizes the river area as a place of residence. This condition will be a potential waste problem in the Riverbank area. One of them is the potential for garbage dumped into rivers, especially Cikapundung River. Tamansari Village is one of the areas that are traversed Cikapundung river, so it takes the planning of the system of inheritance and garbage collection to reduce the potential of waste dumped into the river. waste generation measurement based on SNI 19-3964-1994 method. The concept of waste management system planning is the reduction of waste in the source by 30% with the planning of the timing system through sorting based on three categories of garbage types. Planning of collecting system is by giving the gathering to the collecting device compartment. A community-based waste processing approach that starts from sourcing through composter processing and garbage bank.

Abstract

Poci tea is a favorite beverage produced by household industry. Considering its hygienic quality so that it is not contaminated by microbes seems to be an important factor. This study aims to determine the level of microbial contamination in Poci tea produced by household retailers in Batoh, Banda Aceh. This study was conducted at the Pharmacy Laboratory, Academy of Pharmacy and Food Analysts (AKAFARMA) Banda Aceh from 8  to 12 June 2020. The method of this study is    a quantitative experimental laboratory with Total Plate Count (TPC). The samples of this study are seven Poci tea  obtained from Batoh retailers selected by random sampling. The results showed that the seven Poci teas samples were contaminated  microbes, i.e ALMK with a TPC value of 4x103 colonies / ml, AMK with a TPC value of 4x103 colonies / ml, HFK with a TPC value of 2x103 colonies / ml, JLM with a TPC value of 3x103 colonies / ml, KUCB with a TPC value of 4x103 colonies / ml, MHFK with a TPC value of 4x103 colonies / ml, and MHZZ with a TPC value of 2x103 colonies / ml. In conclusion, the seven Poci tea samples sold in Batoh have TPC values that are not permitted by the Regulation of the Head of RI POM No. 16 of 2016. Therefore, this poci tea is not recommended for consumption.
