Abstract

The research aims to identify, describe, and analyze whether or not the influence of the socio-economic conditions of parents on student achievement in Junior High Schools in Kedaton Peninjauan Raya District. This type of research is quantitative research. Population in this research as many as 464 students. A research sample of around 216 students was established by using the sampling technique proportional random sampling using the formula of slovin 5% of significance. The technique of Data collection by using questionnaires and documentation. Then data analysis using linear regression analysis with SPSS program. The result showed that the socio-economic conditions of parents affect student achievement. This paper is expected to provide directions and solutions for educational institutions to carry out education properly and appropriately by following the environmental conditions of the community in improving the quality of education

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out the correlations among parental involvement, reading motivation and reading achievement.This research used correlation method. Total number of populations were 153 and sample were 60 students taken by simple random sampling technique. The instruments for collecting the data were questionnaire and test and analyzed by normality and linearity test. The result of the investigation described that (1) the correlationscoefficient between parental involvement and reading achievement rx1y=0.505 with r2= 0.255. r product moment shows that there was correlation between X and Y. Sig value was obtained sug 0.000 < 0.05, it shows that there was a significant correlation between parental involvement and reading achievement, (2) The result of rx2y = 0.514 with r2=0.265. The significant level was 0.000 < 0.05 it meant there was a significant correlation between reading motivation and reading achievement, (3) The result of rx2y = 0.604 with r2=0.365. The significant level was 0.000 < 0.05 it meant there was a significant correlation between parental involvement and reading motivation (4) the result of correlation among parental involvement, reading motivation and reading achievement were ryx1x2=0.569 with r2=324. It can be concluded that there are high correlations amongparental involvement, reading motivation toward reading achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine : 1) how the role of teachers in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum , 2) what are the determinants of the 2013 curriculum implementation , 3) the implementation of the 2013 curriculum can optimize the role of teachers . The results showed that the role of teachers at SD Negeri 1 Rantau Sialang in implementing the 2013 curriculum, namely teachers as implementers , teachers as adapters , teachers as curriculum developers and teachers as curriculum researchers. The teacher is not only the implementer of the curriculum, but also as the alignment of the curriculum with the characteristics and needs of students and regional needs. The supporting factors in the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum at SD Negeri 1 Rantau Sialang include the availability of facilities and infrastructure such as syllabus, lesson plans, teacher handbooks and student textbooks. Inhibiting factor, namely the unpreparedness of the 2013 Curriculum. This is because there are still many obstacles and obstacles. However, SD Negeri 1 Rantau Sialang itself is ready or not ready to implement the 2013 Curriculum in compliance with the orders of the Ministry of Education and Culture. Implementation of the 2013 Curriculum can optimize the role of teachers in SD Negeri 1 Rantau Sialang . This is the use of methods in learning that must be adapted to the material to be taught and the conditions of the students themselves when participating in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the attitudes of female characters contained in Tere Liye's novel Bidadari-Bidadari Surga by Tere Liye and to determine the form of literary criticism of feminism as a review of literary criticism in Tere Liye's novel Bidadari-Bidadari Surga by Tere Liye. This research is a qualitative research. Based on the results of research and discussion of the novel Bidadari-Bidadari Surga by Tere Liye as follows: The attitude of the female main character in Tere Liye's novel Bidadari-Bidadari Surga by Tere Liye covers three aspects including aspects of love, education and economics. The main character in the novel Bidadari-Bidadari Surga is Laisa. She is a woman who is tough and never gives up. Laisa's feelings of love and affection for her four younger siblings, namely Dalimunte, Wibisana, Ikanuri and Yashinta make Laisa willing to sacrifice anything for the sake of her sister's happiness. In terms of education, Laisa wants her younger siblings to get a higher education and a better future. Until finally, with such great attitude and sacrifice, Laisa was able to educate her younger siblings up to college. Meanwhile, in terms of economy, Laisa is able to change the life of her family and also her village for the better.

Abstract

Esensi supervise akademik tidak hanya menilai kinerja guru dalam mengelola proses pembelajaran, melainkan juga membantu guru mengembangkan kemampuan profesionalismenya. Penelitian ini berbentuk Penelitian Tindakan Sekolah (School Action Research) dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif, untuk melihat peningkatan yang terjadi dari siklus ke siklus. Dengan dilaksanakannya supervise akademik, bimbingan berkelanjutan dapat meningkatkan motivasi guru dalam menyusun administrasi mengajar dan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menyiapkan perencanaan pembelajaran yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan supervisi dapat meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran dalam melaksanakan tindak lanjut hasil penilaian prestasi belajar siswa dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut. (1) Peneliti dan guru bersama-sama membuat program tindak lanjut hasil penilaian, (2) Peneliti memberi contoh pelaksanaan tindak lanjut, yang akhirnya dilanjutkan oleh guru dalam pelaksanaan yang sebenarnya, (3) Peneliti mengajak diskusi pada guru yang telah membuat, melaksanakan, dan menganalis program tindak lanjut.

Abstract

Pembiasaan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat sudah dilakukan di TK Islam Kamilah Bekasi, telah menjadi kebiasaan sehari-hari yang dilaksanakan dalam proses belajar mengajar di TK Islam Kamilah, dari anak didik masuk sampai dengan pulang. Beberapa hidup bersih dan sehat yang telah dilakukan di TK Islam Kamilah antara lain Kebiasaan mencuci tangan, Kebiasaan buang sampah pada tempatnya, Berolahraga teratur, Menimbang berat badan dan mengukur tinggi badan, Menggunakan jamban yang bersih dan sehat, Memelihara rambut agar bersih dan rapi, Memelihara kuku. Penelitain yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah penelitian kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang sudah dilakukan, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat sudah dilakukan di TK Islam Kamilah, seperti melakukan perilaku cuci tangan pake sabun dengan rutin, membuang sampah pada tempatnya, melaksanakan kegiatan olahraga satu kali dalam seminggu, melakukan penimbangan berat badan dan pengukuran tinggi badan serta pengukuran lingkar kepala setiap bulan sekali, menggunakan toilet untuk buang air besar dan air kecil yang disediakan sekolah, pemeliharaan rambut dilakukan seminggu sekali, memakai seragam yang bersih dan rapih, membersihkan dan memotong kuku secara rutin.Pihak sekolah agar meningkatkan kebiasaan prilaku hidup bersih dan sehat, dan membangun kepedulian siswa untuk bersedekah sampah serta menjaga kualitas sarana sanitasi yang ada di sekolah.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran merupakan suatu teknologi pembawa pesan yang digunakan dalam proses belajar mengajar merangsang pikiran dan menarik minat belajar siswa sehingga tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media video animasi pada kelas IV tema 7 subtema 3 dan mengetahui kelayakan dari media tersebut dengan dilakukan validasi oleh ahli media, ahli materi dan ahli bahasa. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model ADDIE. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tiga tahap yaitu 1) tahap analisis yang terdiri dari analisis kurikulum, analisis kebutuhan dan analisis materi; 2) tahap desain yaitu tahap perancangan media video animasi dengan menggunakan aplikasi kinemaster; 3) tahap pengembangan yaitu tahap produksi media yang telah dirancang dan dilakukan validasi media. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran video animasi yang dikembangkan pada pembelajaran 3 memperoleh persentase 93,88% dengan kategori sangat valid, pada pembelajaran 4 diperoleh persentase 95,41% dengan kategori sangat valid dan pembelajaran 5 memperoleh persentase 96,18 dengan kategori sangat valid.

Abstract

This thesis is concerned with the inquiry on the correlations among vocabulary mastery, reading interest, and reading comprehension of the eleventh grade students of Private Senior High School of Talang Ubi Sub-District of Pali regency. The total number of the population were 200 students. The sample for this study was 51 students taken through a two-stage random sampling technique. Data were collected by adopting a questionnaire for reading interest and test for vocabulary mastery and reading interest. Data were analyzed by using r-Product Moment and Multiple Regression. The data analysis shows that = 0.774 with =0.599 and p-Value is 0.00. This value is lower than 0.05. This is significant. So, Ha was accepted while Ho was rejected. Conclusions suggested that there are significant correlations among vocabulary mastery, reading interest, and reading comprehension of the eleventh grade students of Senior High School of Talang Ubi Sub-District of Pali Regency.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the effect of classroom management and teacher work ethic partially and simultaneously on the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. This study used a quantitative method with a correlational approach. Population of the study were 703 teachers of SMA Negeri OKU Selatan Regency. Sample of the study was 137 teachers. Technique collecting data used was by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Data were analyzed by using multiple linear regression, partial correlation and multiple correlation. This study resulted in the conclusions (1) There was an effect of classroom management on the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process; (2) There was an effect of the work ethic of the teacher on the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process; and (3) There was an effect of classroom management and the work ethic of teachers simultaneously on the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This classroom action research entitled Application of the Quantum Teaching Model to Improve Class VIII Poetry Reading Skills of SMP Negeri 1 Mesuji OKI involved 27 grade VIII students. This research was conducted for two cycles with a span of three weeks per cycle. Based on the results of the analysis of teacher observation data, it is known that the level of teacher competence in teaching is very good, namely, 3.88 in the first cycle and 4 in the second cycle. The percentage of students' observation scores also experienced a very significant increase, if in the first cycle it only touched 51.85%, but in the second cycle, it became 77.77%. The results of students' poetry reading scores also increased very well. In the first cycle, the percentage of success only reached 46.42% but increased to 100% in the second cycle
