Abstract

Education for kids is very important, especially from an early age. The right of every kid to gain proper education in order to develop knowledge and improving human resources. One model of applied learning is learning in environmental resource management. Parit Baru village Sungai Raya subdistrict of Kubu Raya has PAUD Permata Hati that have land that is not being used as a source of learning, the environmental conditions that can be used as a source of learning in early childhood learning is not being used to to source of learning  but it used to place waste throwers and grown shrubs, then the team IbM trying to help improve the knowledge and skills to empower communities to manage learning resources in early childhood environment Permata Hati to be environmentally beneficial for early childhood as a learning. The programs succesfully changed surrounding environment being more productive as kid’s learning sources. Kids can use their surrounding environment to learn espiacially about entrepreneurship It is expected that the managers, teachers, and the community can maintain and care for the existing environment to be a source of learning in PAUD Permata Hati. Keywords : learning source, environment, PAUD

Abstract

                                          ABSTRACTEarly childhood is a gold period which his/her potencies should be developed optimally. The way to optimize their potencies for early childhood is by developing the brain function optimally through the introduction of Brain-Gym since brain is a window to learn and work. Brain-Gym consisting of 26 movements can stimulate the three brain dimensions; those are laterality, focus, and concentration dimensions that support the development of emotional skill, social skill, intellectual ability, and physical ability. In particular, the development of all potencies can be done through updated laterality movement that is balancing right-left brain, related to left and right brain dimensions associating with communication ability. Brain gym can improve learning processes and integrate all areas that related to the learning process, specially for children who are a student of early childhood education. So, the aims for this activity is to improve teacher’s knowledge about brain gym. It is hoped that the teacher can practice the brain gym too. To transfer the knowledge about brain gym to the teacher of early childhood education, we use workshop methods. By using this method, teachers can find out about the benefit of brain gym and can practice it for their student. Finally, brain gym can optimize all aspects of child development and maximize children's ability to learn.Keyword: brain gym, early childhood education

Abstract

High smoking prevalence in Pontianak, especially youngsters, was majorly affected by lack of knowledge. Therefore, this community services activity was aimed to improve knowledges and attitudes of peer educators about smoking hazard and strengthen the role of peer educators to increase knowledge and attitude of their groups. One group pretest-posttest was used to evaluate the success of community service activities. The analysis was conducted using T test to look at the relationship of each independent variable on the dependent variable. Results showed there were increased knowledge and attitudes peer educator after training. There were also an increased knowledge and attitudes of studeents after the peer group mentoring. There are differences in knowledge and attitudes among the peer group and the control group. Selection of a facilitator with the appropriate background, as well as the preparation of training materials and tools that support the training process. Key words: adoloscene, peer educators, peer group, knowledge, attitude

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Penerapan Pendekatan BCCT di Kelas Apel (TK A) PAUD Kasih Ibu Kecamatan Pontianak Tenggara yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Perencanaan; (2) Pelaksanaan; (3) Penilaian,pada pendekatan pembelajaran tersebut. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan informasi yang tepatdan lengkap dari PAUD Kasih Ibu agar berguna bagi akademisi, praktisi, dan masyarakat luas, khususnyabagi bidang PAUD untuk usia 4-5 tahun. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan deskripsi analitikmelalui wawancara terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Proses pembelajarannya meliputi empatpijakan, yaitu: Lingkungan main, sebelum main, saat main, dan setelah main. Ada empat sumberpengumpul data dalam penelitian ini: (1) Dua orang guru Kelas Apel; (2) Kepala Sekolah PAUD KasihIbu; dan (3) Sekretaris yang juga sebagai anggota pengelola PAUD Kasih Ibu. Hasil penelitiannyamenunjukkan kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian penerapan pendekatan BCCT di KelasApel (TK A) PAUD Kasih Ibu adalah “Cukup baik”. Analisis perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaiandifokuskan pada Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Harian (RPPH) yang dibuat oleh guru-guru KelasApel PAUD Kasih Ibu dari bulan September 2015 sampai dengan bulan November 2015. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD), Pendekatan BCCT, RPPH

Abstract

Mempawah Hulu, which is predominantly populated by indigenous Dayak Kanayatn tribe, is one of underdeveloped sub-district in Landak Regency. The main issues are in health, education, and economic sectors, for instances: low educated villagers (the majority of the villagers do not graduate from secondary school); urgent clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS); economic condition in the middle to the low category. Therefore, the community service in this area was focused on empowering the community in those problematic sectors. To solve the issues, we heightened public role in society and enforced the authority institution which including Mempawah Hulu Regency Administration along with three local villages authorities and Puskesmas (Public Health Center) Karangan. Through these activities, not only ‘Alert Village’ was activated but also PHBS agents, ‘Alert Village’ agents, Healthy Generation (Genre) ambassador, as well as initiation of ODF hamlet were established. In the education sector, the local library was built which was associated with the establishment of the green school and study group. In the social-economic sector, a catfish cultivation group and chicken boiler cultivation group were formed as well as few entrepreneurs manufacturing products from local commodities. Abstract

Sambas district is the district with the lowest HDI among the 14 districts in West Kalimantan. The highest education level of most people is only Elementary School, while public health issues are very complex, while most families are poor. Those facts show that Kabupaten Sambas is one of the districts that need attention in development in all sectors, including health, education, and economy. Sebawi, one of the region in Sambas district, still requires efforts to improve the human resource. The aim of KKN-PPM in Sebawi is to have a community empowerment in the areas of health, education, and socio-economic. The activities included strengthening 'desa siaga', increasing access to education, and intensive mentorship for the home industry in three selected villages, namely Sepuk Tanjung, Rantau Panjang and Sebawi. The results showed that the major program such as 'desa siaga' and entrepreneurship run very well. We successfully revitalized management and operational team of 'Desa Siaga'. and also convinced the villagers to provide ambulance facility in their village. We also established a new group of entrepreneurs consisted of housewife and dropout students. We hope that the new entrepreneur group can promote economic growth in the villages.  Hopefully, the program can be sustainable and will be monitored periodically. Keywords: community empowerment, alert village, poor families

Abstract

Implementation of learning in engineering actually can not only through the theory in the classroom. Therefore, a good learning in the field of engineering is to add lab-based learning by improving laboratory facilities and infrastructure equipment, one of which is a fluid mechanics lab equipment. Current issues that especially the Faculty of Engineering Mechanical Engineering Study Program has not had a particularly fluid mechanics lab equipment for centrifugal pumps. Almost 75% of the world uses this equipment centrifugal pump. Therefore it is necessary to develop a model of learning media in the form of fluid mechanics lab equipment better is to develop instructional media lab equipment such as fluid mechanics models of centrifugal pumps. Research methodology using pure experimental design (true experimental research) conducted in the study were: Preparation and preparation of raw materials, reverse model lab equipment centrifugal pumps, testing tools and the use of tools for mechanics fluida. Research result, lab equipment that models these centrifugal pumps can be used for testing the characteristics of pumps in single, series and parallel. Keywords: centrifugal pumps, models, lab, serial, parallel ABSTRAKPelaksanaan pembelajaran di bidang teknik sebenarnya tidak bisa hanya melalui teori di dalam kelas. Oleh karena itu pembelajaran yang baik di bidang keteknikan adalah menambah pembelajaran berbasis laboratorium dengan meningkatkan sarana dan prasarana peralatan laboratorium, salah satunya adalah peralatan praktikum mekanika fluida. Permasalahan saat ini bahwa terutama Fakultas Teknik Program Studi Teknik Mesin belum memiliki peralatan praktikum mekanika fluida terutama untuk pompa sentrifugal. Hampir 75% masyarakat dunia menggunakan peralatan pompa sentrifugal ini. Oleh sebab itu perlu dikembangkan sebuah model media pembelajaran berupa peralatan praktikum mekanika fluida  yang lebih baik yaitu mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa model peralatan praktikum mekanika fluida  pompa sentrifugal. Metodelogi penelitian menggunakan design eksperimen murni (true experimental research) yang dilakukan dalam penelitian  adalah:preparasi dan persiapan bahan baku,  merekayasa model peralatan praktikum pompa sentrifugal,pengujian alat dan  penggunaan alat untuk praktikum mekanika fluida.Hasil penelitian, bahwa model peralatan praktikum pompa sentrifugal ini dapat digunakan untuk pengujian karakteristik pompa secara tunggal,seri dan paralel. Kata kunci: pompa sentrifugal, model, praktikum,seri,paralel

Abstract

World health organization (WHO) noted country Indonesia as a country with cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is the highest in Southeast Asia. Since 2011 in Indonesia dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) has claimed 595 lives out of a total of 65 432 patients person (CFR: 0.91). Dengue cases in Perumnas 1 spread to almost every pillar residents and the average affects children of school age and pre-school age and a rise in cases is high enough that in 2012 and 2013 respectively 5 and 10 cases increased to 27 cases in 2014. Community development program in the village Perumnas 1 is one effort that can be done to decrease the incidence of dengue. Based on the results of community service that has been done in the village river ox outside districts pontianak west can be concluded as follows: top priority health problems that exist in Sungai Jawi Luar Village outside is DHF, the determinant factors associated with the incidence of dengue is the knowledge, the priority problem-solving DBD in villages outside the ox river is education about dengue, establishment coordinator jumantik, film screenings dengue, DHF distribution of leaflets, posters DBD, results of evaluation of health education activities about dengue managed to increase public knowledge about dengue. Advice to Sungai Jawi Luar Village goverment should cooperate with the clinic in implementing health programs and call or invite the citizens to keep the environment with activities of mutual cooperation. Keywords: Community Empowerment, Mosquito Nest Eradication

Abstract

Mempawah Hilir sub-district is a coastal area which to get a pure water is so hard to obtained. In an area like this the ground water is muddy with reddish-brown color with pH of 2 - 5 (acid), such water is unfit for drinking. The  issue was the necessity of pure water are routinely faced, so to fulfill the necessity of pure water both partners usually rely on Rain Shelter  to eat and drink while the other necessities are taken from well water (pond) and a brown murky sewage. The solution from the team was to transfer the knowledge and the Appropriate technology (MMF) in the form of a Well Water Treatment Installation into a pure water that is feasible to be consume. The output Target was a partner can process the well water with MMF technology suitable with the standard of health water quality and partner can process pure water in a simple way using natural resources in the surrounding. The approach method used was to provide counseling / socialization to both partners, continued with the demonstration, assembly training and use of MMF technology tools. The results of the activities were 1) the sequences of two sets of Water Treatment Installation complete with its spesification, 2) The condition of processed water MMF can be utilized by santri in Pesantren and the citizen for pray  and others. Keywords: MMF, Pesantren, Pure water, and Tanjung village

Abstract

Secara teoritis penelitian ini akan memberikan sumbangan pemikiran terutama tentang konsep-konsep yangberkenaan dengan proses pembelajaran Statika Struktur pada mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak. Keutamaannya yaitu mencapai tujuan pendidikan, Peningkatan kualitas prosesbelajar mengajar pada mata kuliah Statika Struktur semester II dan Peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswasemester II terhadap mata kuliah Statika Struktur. Dalam mata kuliah Statika Struktur, banyak yang  harusdipahami oleh mahasiswa sehingga sebagian dari mereka mengalami kesuliatan untuk mencernapembelajaran saat proses belajar mengajar. Sehingga peneliti tertarik untuk menganalisa proses belajarmengajar mata kuliah statika yang berlangsung di Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak. Pada penelitianini, peneliti telah mengkaji proses belajar mengajar mata kuliah statika. Dalam penelitian ini, desainpeneliti yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif untuk menganalisis penelitian. Populasi dari penelitian iniadalah mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Mesin Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak tahun 2014/2015. Sampelyang di ambil adalah mahasiswa semester II. Terdapat 2 kelas untuk mahasiswa semester II Fakultas TeknikMesin. Yaitu 1 kelas pagi dan 1 kelas malam. Masing-masing kelas berjumlah  34 orang. Metode yangdigunakan yaitu dengan data primer dan sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dengan obeservasi danwawancara. Sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dengan adanya dokumentasi dan materi tentang statikastruktur. Peneliti menyimpulkan secara umum proses pembelajaran Statika Struktur pada Semester IIFakultas Teknik Mesin di Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak secara teknis sudah diterapkan. Secarakhusus kesimpulan ini ditunjukan dari data hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan dukungan Perencanaanpembelajaran dan evaluasi pembelajaran yang sudah sesuaiIn accordance with the theoretical, this research hand over the consideration of concepts which related to Statika Struktur learning process to the students of Teknik Faculty, Muhammadiyah Pontianak University.Especially, to reach the aim of education, to increase a quality of teaching learning process to StatikaStruktur’s class for students semester II and also to increase their understanding. On Statika Struktur’s class,there are so many lessons that the student should understand so it make half of them have difficulties toingest the lessons when teaching learning on the process. It make the researcher interesting to analyze theprocess of teaching learning on Statika Struktur’s class at Muhammadiyah Pontianak University. Theresearcher has been done investigated the process of Statika Struktur’s class.  The D esign of thisresearch by using descriptive design to analyze the study. The population of this research are students ofTeknik Faculty Muhammadiyah Pontianak University on 2014/2015 years. The sample are the studentssemester II. It has 2 classes students semester II. There are morning class and night class. Each class consistof 34 students. The method that applied by researcher is by using primary data and secondary data. Primarydata were gain by observation and interview. Meanwhile, secondary data were gain by documentation andStatika Struktur material about. The researcher conclude that the process of Statika Struktur Learning toStudents Semester II Teknik Mesin Faculty at Muhammadiyah Pontianak University in a manner was applied. Especially the conclusion indicated by the result of observation and interview with support fromlearning plan and learning evaluation that has been suited.
