Abstract

Loneliness is a mental health issue. The aim of this research is to understand how adolescents recognize, feel and overcome loneliness. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach, involving 38 adolescent (21 girls and 17 boys) who experienced loneliness in three junior high schools (SMP) in Pekanbaru. The data was obtained through online interviews using Google Form. Data analysis uses thematic analysis techniques. The results showed that junior high school adolescents used various coping strategies to overcome loneliness. The most commonly used strategy in grades 8 and 9 is focusing on emotions, while in grade 7 focuses more on problems. The results of this research provide an overview of loneliness and how to overcome it from an adolescent perspective so that it can help the process of counseling and therapy for loneliness in adolescents. Further research is needed to understand the factors that influence adolescents' coping strategies in overcoming loneliness.

Abstract

The covid 19 pandemic has a great influence on the psychological condition of individuals, especially housewives. So that good psychological adjustment is needed. The study aims to determine the relationship between religiosity and psychological adjustment in housewives during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling techniques with subjects as many as 385 housewives in Limapuluh Kota district. Data collection using 2 research instruments, namely the scale of religiosity from Fetzer and the scale of psychological adjustment compiled by referring to De Vito's theory. The results showed that there was a relationship between religiosity and psychological adjustment in housewives with a correlation coefficient value of 0.318 with a significance level of p< 0.001 with a contribution to psychological adjustment of 10.1%. Psychological adjustment in housewives can be improved through religiosity.

Abstract

Technological developments have made the use of digital technology in everyday life, including the implementation of tasks in organizations, making competition for companies to innovate even tighter. Apprentices as prospective workers in the future are expected to have innovative work behavior so that innovation in the company becomes easier. This research aims to determine the influence of digital learning orientation on innovative work behavior which is mediated by readiness to change. Data were obtained with convinience sampling, from interns who live in Indonesia (N = 285). The participants have aged between 18-23 years (M =21. 35; SD =3.40). There are three measuring tools used in this research, the nine-item innovative work behavior scale, the fifteen-item digital learning orientation scale and the readiness for change scale consists of fourteen items. Analysis using Hayes' simple mediation analysis technique using PROCESS version 4.0. The research results show that readiness to change is partial mediated the influence of digital learning orientation on apprentices' innovative work behavior. This study can provide insights for interns to better prepare themselves for the challenges they will face when entering the workforce. Additionally, for educational institutions or campuses, the findings of this study can serve as a consideration in designing curricula that equip students to face these challenges.

Abstract

Pharmacy students who are working on their thesis experience impacts on physical and psychological health such as experiencing poor sleep quality. Poor sleep quality can trigger academic stress and is supported by low self-efficacy. Therefore, the lower the quality of sleep possessed by students, the higher the level of academic stress in completing the thesis and vice versa. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of academic stress and self-efficacy on sleep quality in 2020 Faculty of Pharmacy students at Muhammadiyah Purwokerto University who are doing thesis. This study uses quantitative methods with multiple linear regression tests. Respondents in this study totalled 101 Faculty of Pharmacy students. The measuring instruments used were sleep quality scale, academic stress scale, and self-efficacy scale. The results showed that academic stress and self-efficacy can simultaneously contribute an influence of 31.5% on sleep quality. Efforts are needed to improve sleep quality in order to minimize academic stress, such as practicing self-control to boost confidence in completing their thesis.

Abstract

The Quarter-life crisis is a crisis in early adulthood, where individuals fear the direction of life, such as careers, find out who they are, relationships, and social life. One of the factors that can affect a quarter-life crisis is religiosity. This study aims to see the relationship between religiosity and quarter-life crisis in early adulthood in Pekanbaru City. This research is correlational quantitative. Subjects in this study were 225 people (64 men and 161 women) in Pekanbaru with an age range of 18-37 years who were taken using purposive sampling technique with the characteristic of early adulthood who are Muslim. Data were collected using two scales, the religiosity scale, and the scale quarter-life crisis. The results in this study indicate a negative relationship between religiosity and quarter-life crisis in early adulthood in Pekanbaru with Sig. of 0.002 and the correlation coefficient of (r) = -0.201 means that high or low religiosity has a correlation with the quarter-life crisis, thus the research hypothesis is accepted.Based on the results of this research, appropriate interventions are needed to increase religiosity so that it can have a positive impact on the quarter-life crisis in early adulthood.

Abstract

One of the cases experienced by schizophrenia caregivers is stress. One intervention to reduce stress levels in schizophrenia caregivers is a support group. Support groups are carried out with peer groups who have relatively similar problems by sharing information about the problems experienced by schizophrenia caregivers. This research aims to reduce the level of stress felt by caregivers of schizophrenia, using a quasi-experiment and using 6 research subjects consisting of 5 female subjects and 1 male subject who have moderate to severe stress level scores. The data collection method was carried out using the Kingston Caregiver Stress Scale (KCSS) and analysis used the Repeated Measured Anova Test. The results of the support group intervention showed that caregivers experienced significant changes (p<0.05) in terms of reducing stress levels before and after providing support group therapy. This study has important implications for the implementation of support groups in reducing stress levels among caregivers of individuals with schizophrenia. It can be concluded that support groups are effective in lowering stress levels in schizophrenia caregivers.

Abstract

Hybrid working is the work model chosen by many companies. In practice, changing your work style to a hybrid can affect the quality of work life. Quality of work life is an employee's perception which includes aspects of job and career satisfaction, general well-being, distance from homework, stress at work, control at work, working conditions. On the other hand, employee personality is a kind of diversity in the workplace. One of the personalities in the workplace is the personality of narcissism. Narcissism is part of the dark triad personality. Narcissism is demonstrated by behavior of self-admiration, domination, and superiority. The aim of this research is to explain the role of narcissistic personality in the quality of work life of employees who work in a hybrid manner. The participants were 217 hybrid working employees who filled out the Quality of work life and Short Dark Triad Personality scale instruments. The participants consisted of government agency employees, male and female, private employees, government agencies and start-ups, ranging in age from 20 to 55, with D3 to S3 educational backgrounds. Participants were selected using a purposive sampling method. The research results show that narcissistic personality plays a role in the quality of work life (b=0.055; p<0.001). Companies need to manage narcissistic traits through personnel management to improve the quality of work life in a hybrid work environment.
