The aim of this research to determine how the local wisdom of community empowerment in the management and sustainable development of fishery resources. This research is using qualitative descriptive approach, which is intended for the careful measurement of specific case studies of social phenomena. Data analysis techniques in this study is using data reduction model, data presentation, and data verification. The result of this research is the local wisdom empowerment of communities in the management and development of fisheries resources. First, local wisdom of ‘Petik Laut’ is happened every year that to give a food of some fish and also to pray in order that the sustainability of fisheries at the sea is maintained. Second, Local Wisdom of ‘Nyabis’ this is done by the local community as the process in order to obtain a blessing that the prayers of the clerics, because the local community is a widespread belief in the presence of this blessing, all the activities from catching, trading and all problems can be more easily and smoothly. Abstract

The existence of mangroves on the coastal have an important role as a habitat for fish fauna, physical protection to shoreline, spawning, nursery and feeding ground. Limited size of land and resources on the mainland as well as the increasing number of people, many construction activities shifted from the mainland towards the coastal and oceans aims to increase the economy's income and welfare through the development of aquaculture, fish catching tools, ports, industrial processing and tourism. Management of mangrove areas or sectors to maximize production without taking into account the limitations of the carrying capacity and environmental capacity and the limited ability of assimilation, it will lead to environmental degradation and declining natural resource it self. The areas Pangpang Bay is one of the central coast (center) sea fishing activity in the District's Banyuwangi. The areas Pangpang Bay is adjacent to the Bali Strait in the east and Indonesia Ocean in the south..Teluk Pangpang potentially surrounded by coastal mangrove which is geographically located between 8º27'052 '' - 8º32'098 '' LS and 114º20'988 '' - 114º21'747 '' BT ( Banyuwangi regency, 2014) .Therefore it is necessary to identify and density of the mangrove ecosystem in question maintained that resources sustainability.

Abstract

Catfish production in the province of Bali isn’t optimal, because it hasn’t itegarted ancillary factors suchcultivation; pond, hatcheries, feed alternatives, and super-intensive cultivation technology innovation. Innovation and alternative developed is the rearing ponds catfish using tarpaulin material. The purpose of this research is to create a pond tarp protype appropriate and provide information to rural communities, to be able to utilize these resources to activities with catfish Cara Budidaya Ikan Yang Baik (CBIB). The method used is through data collection, both secondary data and primary data. Secondary data is by observation of the existing pond tarp in Buleleng regency, then obtain primary data of conducting an experiment directly manufacture for pond tarpaulins, seed preparation, feeding management, harvesting and post-harvest. The results of this study found that, pond tarps are made under the soil surface using a mold lined with good soil to be used cultivation of catfish. Pond tarpaulin by using a mold of land besides the cost is very cheap, also can withstand the pressure from the edge of the pond so it is not easy to damage the pond. Management of water quality management can be easily done, because the pond tarp in this type of outlet. Conditions pond tarp after one cycle of post-harvest still reusable.

Abstract

Eel (Anguilla sp.) is an export commodity that has high economic value, but in the development of cultivation encountered a problem on the treatment period. To reach consumption size it takes 12-16 months. To improve productivity and provide added value needs polyculture systems with tilapia which is easy in terms of its treatment and can stabilize water quality. The aim of this study was to determine the productivity of eels using polyculture systems with tilapia. The research was conducted at BLUPPB Karawang in February – April 2015, using six (6) pool of treatment. Three pools were used for activities with a polyculture system and three pools were used for the treatment of non-polyculture. The results showed that a polyculture system of eel and tilapia treated for 60 days can make a positive impact to the Specific Grow Rate (SGR) 0.98%, and Food Conversion Ratio (FCR) 1.09 when compared with non-polyculture with SGR (0,93) and FCR (1.23). The results of analysis of effort on polyculture systems can provide the added value of the tilapia harvest.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of organic waste in the form of suspended solids (TSS) discharged from intensive shrimp ponds activity. Research conducted in the area of the District of intensive shrimp aquaculture Banyuputih Stubondo district for four months using a survey method. To determine the amount of organic waste generated from shrimp farms, shrimp feed data retrieval performed during one cycle maintenance, comprehensive data is a pond, stocking density, pond water volume and turnover volume of pond water every day. Quantification of organic waste refers to formula Soewardi (2002). Based on calculations, the total amount of waste oganik in the form of suspended solids (TSS) issued intensive shrimp ponds into coastal waters in a season maintenance of shrimp is 2,277 kg TSS / 3.500 m2 / MT or if it is converted into an area of 1 ha pond is 6,506 kg TSS / ha / MT. If all the land productive pond (39 ha) in the study area did the same production during the growing season / maintenance of shrimp, the coastal waters Banyuputih will receive a load of organic waste (TSS) amounted to 253 734 kg in the first season of planting / maintenance shrimp.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Center for Brackish Water Aquaculture Situbondo on February to April 2013. The research material is the development of the egg mouse grouper (Cromileptes altivelis) to the size of the seed. Humpback grouper hatchery activities undertaken in Situbondo Brackish Water Aquaculture Centres covering, container preparation, maintenance of the parent, the parent spawning, handlers egg, larva, natural food culture, water quality management and harvest seeds. Spawning parent process carried out at the bright moon and new moon after the management maintained a predetermined feed. Observations eggs done from the early morning (eggs age ± 4 hours) to hatch (± 28 hours) by using a light microscope with a magnification of 10 x10. Larval rearing is to obtain seeds produced optimally usual during 45-55 days. The seeds that will harvest measuring 2 hinga 5 cm and ready to send to consumers first fasted for between 12-24 hours with the aim of reducing expenditure stool (feces) during transport seeds.

Abstract

This study uses a randomized complete block design (RAK) with one treatment factor is proportion of shredded salmon and wheat flour. There are seven levels of the proportion of shredded salmon and wheat flour, which is 5%: 95%, 10%: 90%, 15%: 85%, 20%: 80%, 25%: 75%, 30%: 70% and 35% : 65%. Seventh proportion of shredded salmon and wheat flour were repeated 3 times so that there are 21 experimental unit. Analysis biscuits were first done of organoleptic analysis include color, aroma, flavor and texture to get the best treatment with the number of trained panelists as many as five people. The best treatment is obtained and then carried to the 20 respeonden preference test to determine consumer acceptance and chemical analysis covering the water content, protein content, fat content, ash content, and carbohydrate content. From this research result that the biscuits with the proportion of fish meal 5% and wheat 95% produce the best biscuits on the results of organoleptic test with an average value of preference for color 5:30 (love), the average value of preference for the scent of 5.50 (like), a mean value of preference for sense of 5.60 (like), and the average value of preference for the texture 5:30 (love). Chemical test results biscuits best treatment had 3.87% moisture content, protein content 12:54%, ash content of 1.67%, 15:32% fat, and carbohydrate content of 66.38%.
