Abstract

The budget is an important component in implementing public services whose implementation is left to ministries/agencies and work units for the benefit of the community. However, much has not been achieved in its implementation due to the realization that budget absorption is not optimal. This study analyzes the impact of budget planning, budget execution, and human resource competence on budget absorption. This type of research is associative research. The population in this study was 58 budget management employees. The sample used is saturated. The data in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and in-depth interviews. Data analysis techniques used multiple linear regression analysis. The study results show that budget planning has a significance score of 0.154 > 0.05. It shows that H1 is rejected, meaning that budget planning has no significant effect on budget absorption. Second, budget execution has a significance score of 0.000 <0.05. It shows that H2 is accepted, meaning that budget execution significantly affects budget absorption. Third, the human resource competency variable has a significance score of 0.018 <0.05. It shows that H3 is accepted, meaning that human resource competence significantly affects budget absorption. This study shows that budget planning, execution, and human resource competence do not affect budget absorption.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that is very committed to the implementation of good corporate governance in every organization and business. To that end, we have conducted studies that are supported by secondary research data published in many book journals and other website documents. The purpose of this study is to analyze the data critically by involving data evaluation and coding, concluding to obtain valid and up-to-date data findings. This type of research is qualitative. This research approach uses a phenomenological approach. The data collection method uses documentation analysis. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of the research are good corporate governance used in guarantee institutions for each, which is a decision and management of a company that adheres to the principles to be purchased, high transparency, responsibility, high self-management, fairness and sustainability. In this case, the purpose of the application is to create for all parties in business activities so that the business runs well, accountable and profitable in an economic context.

Abstract

The service condition in Indonesia is considered very bad because corruption, collusion, and nepotism are still found in public services. In addition, the government is still faced with several phenomena related to public service problems, including those related to services that are complicated, long, and require money, so this is what creates a negative image of the government. This study aims to analyze and examine the application of e-government-based services in increasing public service satisfaction. This research is included in quantitative research using descriptive and verification methods. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The research population amounted to 395 respondents, and the number of samples was 126. The collection instrument with interview sheets and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and verification analysis. The study results are that e-government services have a high level of accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency in providing services because e-government-based services are considered effective in minimizing the error rate in the service process. However, the achievement of e-government-based services in Majalengka Regency is still faced with various challenges, especially those related to the support of facilities and infrastructure, technology support and network stability, as well as the support of human resources as managers.

Abstract

Employee productivity is crucial since it forms the basis and guide for every firm. However, the nature and formality of the work organization play a significant role in determining job characteristics, and although they have an impact on other workplace circumstances, changing job characteristics has inherent restrictions. The purpose of this study is to examine the structural relations among job characteristics, organizational citizenship behavior, self-efficacy related employee performance. The samples of this study consist of 351 representatives utilizing a straightforward irregular inspecting procedure and information from respondents utilizing research instruments utilizing on the web surveys. The exploration technique utilized in this study is Structural Equation Modelling examination and information investigation instruments utilizing SmartPLS 3.3.3. Analysis and interpretation of the data indicate that; self-efficacy have a relationship with employee performance, job characteristics have a relationship with employee performance, organizational citizenship behavior have a relationship with employee performance. The implementation of job characteristics, organizational citizenship behavior, and self-efficacy will greatly impact and make a positive contribution to the hotel activities in improving the performance of its employees.

Abstract

The problem that is often faced is low employee performance. The purposes of this study are to analyse the effect of harmonious leadership on the performance of Undiksha employees, analyse influence on the performance of Undiksha employees and analyse the mutual influence of harmony and leadership on the performance of Undiksha employees. This type of research is quantitative. The population in this study were employees with the status of Civil Servants who had worked for at least five years at Undiksha, amount 240 people. Determining the sample in the study refers to the slovin formulation so that 150 samples are obtained. Data collection in this study was conducted by interviewing Undiksha employees and questionnaires about the harmony of leadership, personality, and performance of Undiksha employees. Data analysis was performed by multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that, first, Harmoni's leadership had a positive and significant effect on the performance of Undiksha employees. Second, personality has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Undiksha employees. Third, leadership and personality that are aligned simultaneously have a positive and significant impact on the performance of Undiksha employees. Based on these findings, it can be said that there is a significant relationship between harmonious leadership and the activities of Undiksha employees, both separately and simultaneously. Thus, the second factor can be used as an employee predictor of performance levels at Undiksha.

Abstract

War conflict between Russia and Ukraine has begun, almost 10,000 people died in this war. Each country urged Russia to stop attacking Ukraine and also asked the United Nations to take action on Russia's decision. This study aims to analyze the role of the United Nations in resolving the conflict war between Russia and Ukraine. This study uses a normative method with legal sources used for the preparation and discussion of a research problem. This is done to find answers to the problems studied. The legal materials used to support this research are divided into Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Legal Materials. Primary legal materials consist of International Conventions while secondary legal materials consist of scientific research from international authors, books, articles related to the formulation of this problem. The United Nations as an International Organization has a role to stop war between two countries, it can happen with the help of several main organs such as: Security Council, General Assembly, and Secretary General. The main organs will help resolve disputes with their UN authorities. In that case, the role of the United Nations to maintain peace and protect human rights has also protected victims of war on both sides, and the United Nations can delegate the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to protect and save war victims based on the 1949 Geneva Conventions.

Abstract

Online shopping has become a way of life for many Indonesians nowadays. Quality online shopping websites do not automatically guarantee loyalty as well as brand experience. This can be seen from previous research, so this is a research gap that must be found a solution, therefore this research is needed to be able to help overcome this problem. This study aims to analyzed the effect of website quality and brand experience on brand loyalty with brand love as an intervening variable. The research method used purposive sampling technique where the data is examined using measurements by considering individual choices. The sample collection used a questionnaire, and the number of samples used is 100 respondents. The data analysis technique in this study uses Partial Least. Square (PLS). According to the findings of this study, both brand experience and brand love have a positive and substantial effect on consumer loyalty, whereas website quality has no positive and significant effect on brand loyalty. Brand love is a variable that influences consumer loyalty by mediating the impact of website quality and brand experience. The practical implication of this research is to provide insight that establishing consumer loyalty requires more than only relying on the quality of the website and brand experience, but also taking brand love into account.

Abstract

Human capital is a term that refers to human self-development in the fields of education, health, and other potentials for increasing productivity. These efforts will be realized if there is awareness, willingness, and ability to live healthily in everyone. This study aimed to analyze the Econometric Model in increasing Life Expectancy with Environmental Sanitation, Health Services, and Immunization Interventions in West Nusa Tenggara. This research was carried out in 10 the Regency/City of West Nusa Tenggara Province, using econometric modeling, namely performing panel data regression with eviews 11 as an analytical tool. The results of econometric modeling found that the life expectancy in West Nusa Tenggara in 2035 was 0.57 months under normal conditions. After intervention with the environmental sanitation variable, the life expectancy in 2035 was 1.08 months, meaning there was an increase of 0.4 months; Health variables, especially delivery assistance carried out by health workers, become the main priority in the model, which can increase life expectancy by 11 months three weeks six days; and the increase in Life Expectancy in West Nusa Tenggara from the aspect of community behavior.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are business activities capable of expanding employment and providing the economic services for society widely, and also play roles in equalizing and increasing people's income, encouraging economic growth, and realizing national stability. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) also play an essential role in improving the community's economy at the city and regency levels. This study aims to analyze the empirical evidence that the capabilities and environmental factors carried out by MSMEs have a positive effect on innovation, both product innovation and process innovation. The method used in this study is the Structural Equation Model PLS analysis. The population in this study is the total number of MSMEs which registered with the Department of Trade and Industry in 2020 as many as 31591 businesses. The data collection technique is done by distributing questionnaires. Measurement models are assessed by testing the reliability of each item, converging validity and discriminant validity. The results of the analysis show empirical evidence that innovation capability and environmental factors carried out by the MSME sector have a significant positive effect on innovation, both product innovation and process innovation. This study concludes that innovation capability and environmental factors in the MSME sector can increase innovation and have an impact on the sustainability of MSMEs. The contribution of this research is that the capability of innovation and environmental factors can increase the innovation made by MSMEs.

Abstract

Various types of potential risks, such as the COVID-19 pandemic we are currently facing, will ultimately affect the success of business performance. Therefore, in an effort to cover up these problems, managers sometimes make various efforts to maintain corporate image, one of which is earnings management. Earnings management actions are often seen as opportunistic behavior that harms many parties, especially investors. Using a sample of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange for the period 2017-2019, this study investigates the effect of financial distress on earnings management behavior and further investigates the role of internal control as moderation. The results show that companies under higher financial distress pressure tend to have managers practice earnings management to cover up poor performance. In addition, the leverage control variable has an influence on earnings management. Internal control able to moderate the relationship between financial distress and earnings management. This study provides additional information on earnings management and the role of internal control for companies with financial distress. Furthermore, this research also has implications for regulators regarding the importance of internal control standards for companies.
