Abstract

Fintech P2P Lending has caused many complaints from its consumers. This study discusses how consumer protection regulations can reduce fraud from the P2P Lending platform. This study uses a normative research method using a legal approach and a case approach. The population used in this study were P2P customers. This study analyzes the problem with a legislative concerning consumer protection and financial services authority regulation about information technology borrowing and borrowing services. Data collection used primary legal materials in the form of laws and secondary legal materials obtained from library studies in the form of literature. The researcher applies a qualitative data analysis method. The results of this study are one of the key factors in protecting consumer rights derived from various regulations related to the supervision and supervision system carried out by the government. The government should do more education and outreach to the public regarding the fintech peer to peer lending platform and the formation of the Investment Alert Task Force. The study and formulation of government regulations must be balanced with the speed of technological change and digital transformation by involving practitioners so as not to harm each other. Synergy between stakeholders (collaboration), law, surveillance, and data protection can reduce the risk of illegal P2P platform practices. Coordination and synergy between policy makers and stakeholders will greatly facilitate handling in regulating the P2P Lending platform so as not to cause overlapping regulations that cause new problems.

Abstract

Strengthening and building the nation is a vital role of nationalism which is also a means of improving human living standards. Islamic education that is nationalistic can result in a pattern of Islamic education that deviates from Islamic teachings. This study aims to analyze the thought and relevance of the values ​​of Nationalism in Buya Hamka's Islamic education thought in Indonesia. This research method uses historical research methods. This research will be presented using descriptive-analytic history writing. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of this study indicate that a sense of nationalism can be obtained through Hamka's view of the world of education, especially in Islam. The principal value of nationalism through Islamic education is an effort to strengthen national values ​​as individual human beings who are part of a large society in the formation of the state. The meaning of Hamka's nationalism related to collective awareness in Islamic Education thought can be seen in the idiom recognition based on the first principle of Pancasila. The practice of religious values ​​will be able to fortify the nation's next generation from deviant acts.

Abstract

Currently, all levels of education carry out the learning process online. They start from primary, secondary, to higher education. At the higher education level, students who usually do face-to-face learning activities face-to-face with other lecturers and students now must do the same activities virtually. This study aims to analyze whether there are differences in the concentration level in the study of students after being treated with brain gym therapy with the PACE movement. This study uses an experimental approach with a two-group pre and post-test design. The subjects of this study were 60 students divided into two groups, 30 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group, who met the research criteria. The data analysis technique used paired sample t-test. The results showed that there was a difference in learning concentration for students after being given PACE brain gym therapy with the results of the paired sample t-test with a value of = 0.042 (p less than 0.05). There is no difference in learning concentration for students after being given brain gym therapy material and learning concentration with the results of the paired sample t-test with a value of = 0.82 (p more than 0.05). Through this study, students' learning concentration can be improved by doing pace brain gym therapy movements. Increasing student concentration can be increased by doing brain gym therapy as a habit every time before doing learning activities that are expected to help increase student concentration.

Abstract

Increasing the company's value is the most crucial goal of the company. The value of a company is the company's performance and is reflected in the stock price. The share price is formed from the demand and supply of the capital market and considers the public's assessment of the company's performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of conservatism, earning management on company value with good corporate governance as a moderation variable.  The research sample used a purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 52 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 201 8-2020 period. Using SmartPLS 3.0 with data analysis methods, namely convergent validity tests, descriptive validity, composite reliability, Cronbach's Alpha, goodness tests and path coefficient tests. The results of this study show that conservatism has a positive and significant effect on the company's value. GCG moderates the influence of conservatism on corporate value. Earning management has a positive and significant effect on the company's value. GCG moderates the influence of Earning Management on Company Value. This result can mean that good corporate governance can strengthen company values if the company uses conservatism and earning management practices. It can also be beneficial in increasing the value of the company.

Abstract

In securing traditional villages, the existence of Pecalang is very much needed, considering that Pecalang is the guardian and strength of the Balinese people. The current socio-cultural conditions of Bali are increasingly alarming and marginalized from the growing economy and industry. In the development of the existence of traditional villages, it seems that traditional villages affect the social life of the Balinese people, for the presence of Pecalang can awaken Balinese Taksu in the eyes of the world. The purpose of this study is to explore information and implement policies for sustainability related to Pecalang in their resilience to the existence of traditional villages. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Methods of collecting data using surveys, interviews, and questionnaires. The process of extracting data is carried out with the snowball technique. The data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative analysis. The study results show that pecalang has indeed been proven to maintain security and order in the customary village area. Pecalang's commitment to carrying out his duties is very high. Pecalang is steadfast in their commitment to self-defense of custom, religion, and state as long as they are given the trust to carry out their duties. Pecalang organizations will be able to finance all organizational resource needs, including improving the quality of human resources to be more professional, work facilities and infrastructure, work systems and procedures, technology, and others. Thus, the organization will be better able to improve the quality of service to the demands of the customer community needs.

Abstract

Recently, the global scenario has changed radically due to the ongoing coronavirus disease pandemic and the economic impact caused by lockdowns in various countries. It seems that embracing digitalization and the transformation of business organizations that integrate digital technology has become paramount to the survival of enterprises. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Green Development Model on Business Sustainability in Property Companies in the Digital Era. This research is included in descriptive quantitative research. This research was conducted on Property, and Real Estate Companies registered on the IDX. The sampling technique in this study is purposive sampling, so the sample obtained in this study was 42 Property and Real Estate companies. Validity and reliability tests are carried out to ensure that the measurements used are accurate and reliable . The dependent construct R-square is used to analyze the effect of the specific independent variable on the dependent latent variable, which displays the magnitude of the effect. Business Sustainability is affected by the Green Development Model. This study’s results show the effect of the Green Development Model on Business Sustainability. The t-statistic value is greater than the beta score. So the explanation above will show that the Green Development Model significantly affects Business Sustainability. A real estate company that also implements the Green Development Model is a form of Business Sustainability that is currently implemented, so it is very influential between the Green Development Model on Business Sustainability.

Abstract

Modern retail has become increasingly ubiquitous in people's daily activities as the times have progressed and globalization has occurred. This is due to changes in people's purchasing habits, with consumers preferring to shop at modern retail markets that offer one-stop shopping and competitive prices over traditional markets where transactions are typically conducted through bartering. This study is to analyze the effect of modern retail marketing mixes on loyalty mediated by buying decisions. The population of this study is all customers of Metro Supermarket, with a total sample 224 respondents. The sampling technique is nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling. The results of the study indicate that product, price, promotion and retail service effect on the buying decision of Metro Pasar Swalayan customers.  Shop design and location effect on the buying decisions of Metro Pasar Swalayan customers. Product, promotion, retail service, Shop design and location effect on the loyalty of Metro Pasar Swalayan customers. Meanwhile, the price had no effect on the loyalty of Metro Pasar Swalayan customers. Buying decision partially mediates the effect of product, price, promotion, and retail service on customer loyalty of Metro Supermarkets. But buying decision does not mediate the influence between shop design and location on customer loyalty of Metro Supermarkets.

Abstract

Managers' efforts to provide added value to the company can lead to conflicts of interest between agents (managers) and principals (owners). Problems may occur when relying on managers to control the company to improve company performance. This study aims to examine the factors that affect earnings management. This type of research is quantitative by using explanatory (Explanatory Research). The population in this study is State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample of this research is 20 BUMN listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016-2020. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The technique used to analyze the data is inferential statistical analysis. The hypotheses were tested using panel data regression analysis. The results showed that profitability and leverage positively affected earnings management, while size did not affect earnings management. This finding shows that SOEs' profit-generating factors and debt ownership motivate management to carry out good earnings management for their shareholders.

Abstract

Students’ behavior related to environmental protection and conservation is very important to discuss. Action pro-environmental every people, through the change of daily habits and behavior, is needed to decrease environmental problems and promote a clean, healthy, and unpolluted environment. This study aims to analyze the locus of control’s effect and attitude toward pro-environmental behaviours’ effect on the students’ pro-environmental behavior. This study uses an online survey method. A total of 386 respondents were collected. Therefore, the sample in the study amounted to 386 respondents. We used quantitative and structural equation modeling methods to examine the hypotheses. The data were processed by Amos software version 23. This study found that locus of control affects the attitude toward pro-environmental behavior. The locus of control and attitude toward pro-environmental behavior also positively affect students’ pro-environmental behavior. We invented that attitudes toward pro-environmental behavior did not mediate the effect of students’ locus of control on the pro-environmental behaviours of the students. The suggestion to improving the students’ locus of control and attitude related to the environment to gain and enhance the students’ pro-environmental behavior. The originality or value of this study gives a new insight into understanding the interaction between students’ locus of control and attitude toward the environmental behavior of the students in Indonesia.

Abstract

Today the success of an organization cannot be separated from the ability of members to be involved in the management of every component of the organization. This ability can be successful when the performance of members of the organization can be achieved. Many factors can support the success of this performance. Every organization has an organizational culture and work discipline that is expected to support the organization in improving employee performance. This study aimed to determine the effect of corporate culture and work discipline on employee performance. This research was conducted at the Regional Tax and Levy Management Agency Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of SAMSAT Pematangsiantar, totaling 43 employees. The analysis results found that the variables of organizational culture, work discipline, and employee performance have valid and reliable criteria and have average distribution results. Then corporate culture and work discipline can explain employee performance variables by 54% with a substantial correlation coefficient value. The results of the hypothesis found that organizational culture and work discipline have a partial influence on employee performance; for the simultaneous test results that corporate culture and work discipline have a positive and significant impact on employee performance, the results of the greatest influence on work discipline variables. This indicates that work discipline is the most critical factor in supporting employee performance.
