The result of this study found that not all hypotheses proposed are supported. Innovation culture has a significant and positive influence on process innovation and product innovation, while process innovation also has a significant and positive influence on product innovation. Moreover, process innovation affects innovative performance which ultimately influences towards production performance. However, product innovation had no significant effect on innovation performance. The results of this study make both theoretical and practical implications. Theoretically, the novelty of this research related to the innovation culture approach by focussing on the configurations of SMEs innovation activities and their performance implications was elaborated. Thus, it provides a model to demonstrate these configurations. Practically, through this study, SMEs owner has a critical role to encourage and support the new initiatives of employees in creating a unique product.

Abstract

This research was carried out to address the supply chain for peanuts production in Quang Nam province of Vietnam. To do so, the study randomly surveyed 170 peanut growers from three districts where have the largest cultivation areas of peanuts in Quang Nam province. Next, the research investigated some agencies that provided inputs and distributed outputs. All data obtained from the investigation was coded, and then imported into SPSS software for analysis. The research results demonstrated that supply chain of peanuts in Quang Nam province was relatively sophisticated, involving many stakeholders such as inputs suppliers, peanuts farmers, wholesalers, retailers and foreign importers. The outcome of this study also indicated that inputs for production were provided from three sources such as 22.3% from local agencies, 35.9% from tier 2 agencies and 41.8% from tier 1 agencies, meanwhile almost volume of peanuts was bought directly to wholesalers (about 82.8%) with payment either on credit or in cash. Furthermore, sale price varied in huge range, especially for domestic consumption channel, and foreign consumption of peanuts brought profit higher than domestic consumption. Importantly, the paper strongly recommended that the local authority should urge to enact policies to encourage cultivators to access official credit sources and to promote the export performance of peanuts. Lastly, this is the first research in Quang Nam relates to the analysis of the supply chain of peanuts. Hence, more studies should be undertaken to confirm these results for better policies.

Abstract

The main objective of the current study is to investigate the role of social network theory and knowledge-based view in the innovation generation process of a supply chain of Thai Agriculture supply. By drawing on knowledge-based view we have found the three different aspects of a firm which can affect the process of innovation generation, customer–supplier exchange relationship especially environmental, technological and organizational factors that affect the innovation. Secondly, we will examine innovation generation empirically and its link with supplier–customer relationship performance which is still ambiguous issue. Thirdly we will check the moderation effect of supplier’s dependence on association among the drivers of innovation generation and the result of customer supplier relationship performance. The study found that the social capital  network position of the agriculture in Thailand  firm can be affected with a unit assessment of new knowledge which is dangerous for the development of new products According to the findings  lodging a good position in the network has additional power its more likely to achieve desired planned resources like knowledge and information. Therefore, we suppose that relationship among innovation drivers and output performance will be formed in the context of supplier who is depending on customers-supplier association.

Abstract

Personnel development is a salient component of the human resource supply chain of a business organization. This is especially true for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) which has limited resources and could potentially affect their supply chain performance. In an era where modern businesses are driven by innovation, a fresh approach to entrepreneur personnel development should be considered crucial and indispensable. Thus, the objective of this study has been to find a comprehensive and multi-dimensional approach in developing outstanding SME entrepreneurs that could bring about enhanced business performance, including in the vital supply chain functions. Through content analysis of relevant literatures in human resources, three pertinent constructs with strong empirical foundations have been identified, namely happy workplace, transformational leadership, learning organization, were selected and later hypothesized to affect organizational commitment and eventually contribute to enhance performance. Questionnaires were used as a quantitative research tool to collect the data from 500 employees in SMEs in the Nakhon Pathom Province, Thailand. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used for analysing the statistics. The results found that the learning organisation is most appropriate, which has direct and indirect effects on supply chain performance. The mediating effect of organisational commitment on the relationship between learning organisation and supply chain performance was also found.  The results of this study will be beneficial to entrepreneurs, the government, and educational agencies to be used as a guideline to form the policies and conduct further research.

Abstract

In the  present research, we attempt to provide evidence that having the effect of leadership and institutional pressures role as a moderator, the integration of TQM and supplier relationship management facilitate companies in achieving environmental performance. The literature [1]  has well discussed how institutional pressures play their role in influencing the green supply chain practices adoption. The area which requires understanding is that how supplier relationship management, total quality management and leadership integration process are affected through institutional pressures on the firm’s environmental performance. Additionally, the institutional pressure is one of the key issues which are effecting the green supply chain mamagmnegt impnnetaion, therefore the study has examined the moderating role of institurioal pressure. Many scholars have made the studies on different sectors like manufacturing of electronic goods, gas and oil, automotive and components, whereas according to our knowledge we haven’t find any studies regarding petrochemical sector, which is the one of the main carbon emission source after deforestation, steel and refining of oil, transportation and cement. Secondly for undertaking a research project we got support from one of the petrochemical  industry on Saudi Arabia  , with respect to petrochemical  and its handwork for the practices of green supply chain mamagmnegt. The findings of the study have provided support to the hypotehsied results.

Abstract

Organizations are embracing the “go green” concept. It is being implemented in the internal and external organizational boundaries with the primary aim to establish a superior environmental and financial performance. Bearing in mind the importance of the topic current study examined how the GRHM do contributes towards the GSCM. An empirical study was conducted to examine the aforementioned relationship and for this purpose data were collected from 200 managers of hotels in Phuket Thailand. Smart-PLS have been employed for the data analysis. Data analysis revealed a significant association between independent variables (green compensation, green performance appraisal, green training and green hiring) and dependent variable (green supply chain management practices). All the relationships between the variables were in positive direction. Further the results also revealed a weak association between green performance management and compensation and green supply chain management practices (GSCMP). Which may be due to sense of responsibility of the employees towards the environment protection.

Abstract

The concept of green supply chain management (GSCM) is now gaining more attention among practitioners due to its ability to help companies address environmental issues. Nevertheless, studies on GSCM practices and outcomes extensively come from multinational companies compared to fully owned Malaysian companies, especially the Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This conceptual paper discusses GSCM in global context and explores further directions of GSCM research in Malaysia. The discussions led to conclusions that the main drivers of GSCM implementation are mainly the pressure of regulators, customers and public awareness. Moreover, the implementation can have positive impacts on organizations economic performance and preservation of the environment. Consequently, more research is needed on the implementation of GSCM among Malaysian SMEs, especially in terms of the key practices from the perspectives of the practitioners

Abstract

The purpose of this work is to investigate the supply chain funding in supporting children with special needs in accordance with an existing supplier management framework. Improving the living conditions of homeless and neglected children, as well as children with disabilities, is one of the priority directions for the social and economic development of the main countries. However, often due to the insufficient level of funding and state support, the functioning of such specialized institutions such as orphanages or colleges is reduced to unacceptable conditions. In this article, the authors conducted a comprehensive study of 7 specialized institutions located in southern Kyrgyzstan. Social and macroeconomic factors have been taken into account such as the level of public finance, the local distribution of funds for the need for children, the financing of the supply chain for the support of children, the level of social protection, the psychological microclimate, and the morbiditysituation. Therefore, inter-ethnic tensions and forced migration of the skilled population influence the fact that many minors cannot get adequate nutrition, quality education is practically provided on the street. In this work, measures are proposed to prevent the abandonment of children, increase the role of institutions engaged in educational work with children, finance the supply chain to support children and seek new, more effective forms of adaptation in modern society.Keywords- Children, supply chain financing, rehabilitation and adaptation institution, education, Characteristics of children.
